    Graphically, this is a truly masterpiece... And that’s about it. If you’re going to buy this game DONT GET TOO HOPEFUL, be ready to be disappointed at nearly every level, man I mean, it doesn’t even have multiplayer! don’t be fooled by media. Good luck.

Even though there were more options, it also made the game infinitely easier, defeating the purpose and the sense of desperation you'd expect to come along with a game set in a zombie apocalypse.

    From a story standpoint (and all social movements aside) I think there is a mountain of evidence that proves this is a poorly written and overall bad experience. For example, flashbacks are useful and effective when only doing it once or twice, but this game for some reason slows down to an intolerable crawl with many, many flashbacks to display a character they kill in the beginning of the game. If you want to kill him, then just do it. Don't spend the rest of the game relishing in that character when you make a previous terrible decision.

    In addition, the game forces you to play a character that you don't want to play (that's as far as I'll go spoiler wise) and tries to play with your emotions throughout when the entire time you don't want to be participating in anything that is happening. This game should have been a homerun story wise, but instead they try to challenge your beliefs again and again, when really most people (including me) play videogames to ESCAPE the real world, not be PUSHED FURTHER into it, when it's controversial to begin with. About half way through, I was completely checked out. They could've redeemed themselves in the end, but they didn't. It was all for nothing, and the motivations behind the "revenge isn't the end all be all" narrative will leave you feeling empty of satisfaction in a complete waste of time.    … Expand

    The gameplay was amazing. Really refreshing. Didn't change much from the first game except for new jump and prone buttons but it was awesome. The graphics were exhilarating and looked super realistic. I loved to just stand and look around the world and the photo mode made that easier. Now, the reason for the 6 rating is... that the story was mediocre. The entire thing just seemed like itThe gameplay was amazing. Really refreshing. All in all, what made me realize the story wasn't all that good was the fact that the ending left me and many others unsatisfied. It just didn't fit the main character's story well after the events of the game. If you want an awesome game with mechanics and graphics that will blow you away, buy it. If you want to make it memorable, with a story that will satisfy you, keep away from this.… Expand

    I just can't believe how they spoiled this game ... This game could be a great success, they didn't have to do anything really special and it would easily be the game of the year. And so we received the game with the worst story of all time, written by a mentally unstable naughtydog ... I want my money back. And you can be sure that I will never buy a game from this studio again.

Loved especially the characters. So when the 2nd game was announced and Ellie and Joel where in it I was hyped for this game. I did not get spoiled by those leaks and at first I thought: This game is great! It looks absolutely gorgeous, has so many nice details like the guitar playing. but than the second half of the game happend... where I was forced to play as the antagonist **** that killed my favorite game character of all time.... I hated every second i had to play abby! just run through the levels without collecting or talking to anyone. I wanted to play Ellie again... wanted "my" revenge. I hoped for a God of War like sequence where you can smash the punching button till eternity but noooo.... Abby gets away after she almost killed Ellie... the game was advertised as an revenge story!!! Great revenge Story without delivering in the End... Jesus Christ! Never in my life was i so disappointed and straight up enraged by an "Entertainment Medium"
    So when the Naughty Dog Logo appeared after the game ends all i could shout out was FU!
    I literally singed up here just because i wanna write a negative review for this piece of garbage! Naughty Dog took a huge dump on my Favorite characters and i Hope they get ALL of the **** out there! A god damned **** Hurricane!    … Expand

Fora o fato lamentável de fazer apologia ao homossexualismo e mostrar cenas sensuais que nada tem a ver com o contexto do jogo, a história ficou uma droga, em primeiro lugar você não joga com o Joel, depois da decepção, você se vê jogando com uma fisiculturista que mais parece o Hulk, totalmente fora dos padrões do primeiro jogo, inclusive esta mesma figura andrógena assassina Joel, nosso herói, para minha profunda tristeza e decepção, mais uma vez! Não bastasse isto, vc. joga mais da metade do jogo com esta infeliz, que não traz empatia nenhuma ao jogador! E o final, ah, o final é uma droga, sem dúvida, um dos piores jogos que joguei na minha vida! Salva apenas os gráficos e o gameplay, pois o resto, pode jogar fora e fazer outro jogo! Talvez um remake com uma história totalmente diferente! Foi uma pena o que fizeram com o jogo, a parte um foi um dos meus jogos preferidos de todos os tempos, me envolvi com o jogo, os personagens, que foram cativantes, a história foi maravilhosa, mas neste segundo jogo o diretor conseguiu destruir tudo o que foi feito! Las gráficas del juego son muy buenas, por un rato podías sentirte adentro del juego pero, esto es algo que a la gente no le gustó: La historia, el nuevo personaje (Abby), La muerte de joel y la tan mala forma con la que matan a los personajes. A mí en lo personal estas cosas tampoco me gustaron :/. Te lo recomiendo por la calidad gráfica pero, está muy mala la historia y todo lo que te comente anteriormente no vale la pena comprarlo, en mi opinión… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The graphics is stunning and the music is atmospheric. Something expected in this generation of consoles. Lots of tiny details that makes the game interesting to play a bit.

    The general gameplay doesn't improve much from its predecessor. You sneak around, you engage in a firefight. I guess you can now swing on ropes.

    The story is something that didn't need to be told. The ending is the same is the first game, the player didn't end up doing the one thing they meant to do at the start of the game. However, the journey in the first game was worthwhile despite the destination. The journey in the 2nd game is excruciating. It's not enjoyable to replay considering the player is mostly alone for the most part. You spend a few hours to save a character that dies anyway. Nothing you do in the game seemed fruitful. Everyone lost everything they had. One gains a foster brother and a hope to meet an organization they used to be in despite everyone they know it in is already dead. Maybe it's a setup for the final game, the nail to Ellie's coffin? I can almost imagine the third game will be Ellie being forcibly killed for the vaccine by this surviving Fireflies group. Whatever the story will be, I won't bother finding out.    … Expand

    I just loved the game. I can understand that much people can't get to it but for me it worked very well. The storytelling is really uncommon. Most time you feel just uncomfortable but I think this is the way it should be and how this story works.

Anyway the story is so great that pass over the gameplay problem but it is a shame that the developers had to put so many filler encounters to reach the 30 hrs gameplay to lure people that use $/hr as a meter of quality.     Having finished the game, I am thankful for having avoided the spoilers and finish this game with an open mindset. This game is a masterpiece. It just is. Naughy dog are masters of storytelling.

    The games story is very well written. It’s a little long but the overall story is meant to have you unable to pick a side and to realize revenge and violence is a never ending cycle. There is no right or wrong and no side is the right side. Even the hero in someone else’s story can be the villain in another. Well written story

    I'm so proud of Druckman's Direction, proud of the compositors, editors, concept artists, designers...and all the people behind this amazing project.
    I hope they're not gonna give importance to sterile and unsense comments of people that probably doesn't understood the meaning of the whole adventure, just criticizing ignorantly about "plot-holes" or "this character had not to to act like this, this was like this gne gne gne!"... ****
    I'm not giving 10 cause of things/mechanics in game limited not by the deveopers but the hardware capacity of actual generation consoles (fire/explosions range for example).

    It's slighty above average. The graphics look amazing and the atmosphere is thrilling, but the gameplay feels clunky at times. The biggest flaw of the game is the story. Too many plot holes, accompanied by decisions from the main protagonists that make little to no sense. If you are a fan of the first game and love it (just like me), then i would advise you to buy it but at a discount.

    I'm a young queer woman and I've got to say... I feel horribly disappointed, predominantly due to the abysmal story-telling in TLoU2, but also due to the effect of the poor writing on the representation of women and LGBTQ+ individuals. Old characters feel like mere shadows of their previous selves, and new characters feel flat and one-dimensional. Relationships between characters seem disingenuous and central characters are remarkably capricious: swaying from one extreme emotion to another. I was disappointed by the representation of LGBTQ+ individuals... particularly Dina and Ellie's relationship, which felt unbelievable and completely devoid of chemistry. It felt like ND were exploiting LGBTQ+ characters as selling points, rather than creating rich and genuine-feeling LGBTQ+ characters. Mostly, though, the story was just cripplingly disappointing for me. Even before the 'twist' part-way through the game, I had largely lost interest.     Graphics were amazing which is why I rated as high as I did. Plot left a lot to be desired with returning characters making unrealistic decisions. New character relationships appear to be forced on you with seemingly artificial scenarios to try to garner sympathy. Ending seems pointless and made me question why I even wasted my time playing this game.

    the last of us part II has the best graphics and set-pieces (without forgeting the physics) for real, looks like real life. the characters modeling its just... surreal.
    now the story, the point that matters the most. the story, in my point of view, its AMAZING. so many things that are in a certain way hidden, left for you to interpret. they had to kill joel, how could he get away with the things he did in the first game? dont get me wrong, i love joel, but your actions have consequences, and thats one of the main masseges that the game send to you. ellie doesnt kill abby in the last moments of the game because she saw joel in her. come on, cant you see it? joel was taking care of ellie, a girl who knew nothinh about the world and aways saw the good inside him.
    abby is taking care of lev, a boy that knows nothing about the world and always see the best in abby! thats the type of plot you have in the game.and you thing ellie or abby got away with everything? they didnt. abby lost ALL of her friends, yara and even the group she was part of. ellie lost her girlfriend and her "son", and her fingers, which means that now she cant play the guittar, the only thing joel left for her.    … Expand

I wasn’t sure how the developers of the game would live up to the hype of the original, but they exceeded my expectations. I’m leaving a 9/10 just because 10/10 is reserved only for the original. Joel could have saved the world in the first game. But did not due to his selfish actions then lied to Ellie for years about what he did in that room.Yes Joel is a great character but he only lived long enough to see himself become the villian. Now should Joel have died a different way? Maybe, but he had it coming.Playing as Abby may seem boring but its crucial to the plot. Lastly those who wanted revenge with Ellie after 20+hours and are disappointed,didn't see the main message in the story.in this game just like in the last game you do not fulfill the main objective. Abby just like Ellie have now lost everything after days of fighting and searching. When the final battle comes up there is no reason to fight anymore. Everyone is tired,hurt,emotionally and physically distraught. Ellie then chooses to forgive Abby. Which is what this game was going for. Forgiveness NOT revenge. Please don't hate at first sight. Beat the game let it sit and think a little its definitely worth it.… Expand

    Graphically one of the best games I've played. I enjoy the gameplay and really don't find it that outdated, it's fun. The story I would say is fine, I understood what they were trying to do and I liked it, although I do wish they took a different direction I can't complain because I still loved the game.

    A masterpiece of emotional storytelling and character development. It's dark, and at times hurtful. However, it takes a great deal of skill to evoke such an emotional response toward fictional characters and scenarios, and in that way, The Last of Us Part 2 is an incredibly powerful piece of art worthy of my highest praises.

    Grandissima grafica, molto bella la colonna sonora, cura dei dettagli sorprendente, il gameplay è divertente, molto simile al suo predecessore, con difficoltà crescente. È un gioco la cui trama e alcune Mscene sono assolutamente disturbanti, e solo al termine dell’ultima scena riesci a capire davvero tutto il resto della storia. Decisamente più complesso del primo capitolo, non è un giocoGrandissima grafica, molto bella la colonna sonora, cura dei dettagli sorprendente, il gameplay è divertente, molto simile al suo predecessore, con difficoltà crescente.     The controversial second installment to the Last of Us is not without it's drawbacks. Gameplay is excellent, the acting is amazing, the music and visuals are breathtaking. The story is engaging but heartbreaking. It trades character development for a focus on narrative themes.     I'd recommend playing through and choosing for yourself what you think. The lack of character development is noticeable and frustrating. But I think it still works for the overall themes of the game.    … Expand

That was all I wanted from a sequel and this games does everything it can to tear down the characters you bonded with so strongly in the first game. I didn’t want to see Ellie destroy her life and end up with nothing left at the end, nor did I want to see Joel tortured to death, in front of a Ellie while she begs for his life in the first ten minutes of the game. Worst of all, I didn’t want to spend the second half of the game playing AS his killer for about 8 hours.

    I couldn’t relate to Abby, I didn’t want to relate to Abby and I found playing as her actively antagonising. The writers should be sacked and retrain for another career. The graphics, animations, level design, performances, combat, etc. are all incredible, but the terrible writing and story choices meant I didn’t give a **** about any of it. I’m just going to pretend this game never existed as it left such a sour taste in my mouth.    … Expand

    Womp womp. Its comes down to story, your a passanger in a narrative car crash with no control. Some people will like it, a lot more will hate it, Im the latter. Rental if you wanna experience this dissapointed for yourself. Even that would be a waste of money.

    Definitely an amazing game I don’t understand the poor reviews about the story. I felt it hit the points the directors were trying to hit where you saw both sides of revenge and how it’s not always a good thing. The improvements on gameplay also felt well done along with more simple and easier crafting also the focus on exploring the open world was great to me as well.

    I'd give it a 5 for gameplay and graphics but I see a lot of bs 10 reviews to defend the game so. I wrote a longer review but pressed back and I don't want to write it again but i encourage you to watch youtube reviews on this (angry joe for example) and most of them will give it a similar score and explain why. I hope this was the last part of this franchise.

    Controller vibration feature was used so well. When you push things, cut scenes have an impact it really was adapted well and gave you the sense of being there.

    Sound : good I was on my toes the whole time!!!

    Story : poor. Absolutely poor. Long story short I think it would have been a beautiful game and story if you let better people like Clint Eastwood to direct and write the story rather than Neil Druckmann and Halley Gross. Would have had a better result with nicer touching story that made sense, and appealed to the audience.
    (Clint Eastwood won multiple awards from directing so don't you dare even go on that "art" nonsense)

    The plot did not make sense, it was not coherent. As you can see on most of the reviews the majority of people could not follow or understand the flow of the characters' thoughts and emotions.
    Is this because of the fact that a lot of characters went through extremely traumatising events and their mind is broken beyond repair (or changed their personality for good), or just poor storytelling?

    It was very hard to attach yourself to the story, that whenever difficult or tedious parts of game arise it made me wonder if I had any good reason to percevere on, spend my time and effort on this, and if I should drop it there.

    Different parts of stories were jumbled up in poor order and it made concentrating on the story and emotions difficult.

    They tried to mix in PC on top, and it was utterly awful.
    My definition of PC was that "you are defined by your action, not of what you are".

    In TLOU2 it seems all the characters are nothing but their gender identity. It does not matter what gender, race, or gender preference you have. There is nothing else other tha their gender identity to these characters. There is nothing to show them what kind of person they are. Ellie is nothing but a lesbian, the other character is nothing but a radical feminist symbolism. Another funny thing is they keep harping on PC the entire game but their so-called "PC" is awfully biased. There is hardly any Asian throughout the entire two series (apart from the crazy cult group that they don't even bother to elaborate the story onto). Even the doctor (who managed to race-swap from black to white), and nurses; there wasn't a single Asian. Funny when you think of how many Asians are in medical field. Are Asians more susceptible of spores in TLOU? Good medicines taste bitter on your tongue. It may not be a pleasant feedback but please listen for your own sake, if you want to get a "second chance" to make more games as you said.    … Expand

    Everything's great but the story. Was very disappointed. The amount of detail and graphics are amazing and the voice work and acting is just as good as the first one but the story just really kills it. Its not a bad story by itself but it just doesn't work as a continuation of the first one.

The way they put an end to Joel even though he was the main protagonist on the first title was such a disservice to that character and its fans, especially so early on in the game which made his death more of a plot device than anything else. Elly looks and sounds dead. She’s not the same character who I loved in the first title. This game consists of subpar writing and lines with major plot holes. Multiple scenes that are a cringe-fest and it’s dragged out story. It’s like the writers didn't know when to end the game. At a certain point I wasn’t even having fun anymore, I just wanted it to end. But it didn’t. To top it off you get forced to play Abby just to see her pov in an attempt to humanize that character but demonize Elly even more. She had little to no character development for me to even want to sympathize with her. I find it quite ironic that Abby goes out to kill ‘scars’ but as soon as a couple saves her, she has a change of heart to help them almost instantaneously. But when Joel and Tommy save her, the game decides to torture Joel and end his life with a golf club. This was a horrible game. These ‘top critics’ are lying out of their teeth and there is no ambition in criticism/journalism anymore because they probably get paid to put on a front that this game is as good as they’re describing it. Naughty Dogs and Neil Whateverman can keep their third title if they ever plan on making one because this disaster of a game with it’s repetitive missions lost me as a fan. I’m going to slowly remove the sequel out of my head and act like it never came out. BAD. End of review.… Expand

    Extreme **** Joel die just like a fool, saving a stranger later entering in a room full of strangers with a lot of guns, just he and his brother. Man, I can't play it anymore, and Ellie spares Abby, after all, killing everyone to reach her, she just leave her alone and spare.

Очень затянуто, не понятно зачем создана вторая линия персонажа, персонажи второго плана не прописаны от слова совсем, они должны создавать какие-то эмоции, но их нет. По финалу могу сказать так, что сюжет растянут и он очень глупый , в большинстве сцен вместо того , что было задумано Дракманом (сопереживание, грусть и так далее) у меня был только смех от идиотии данной ситуации. В итоге мы имеем посредственный эксклюзив и культ "ну они потратили деньги на разработку, надо поддержать" . Да , красиво, больше из себя плюсов я не могу высосать.… Expand
