    For me this game never happened, I still can't believe they could ruin the history we used to love this much And I am getting really sick of people defending this joke of a game just because they are inclusive well I considere myself an ally to transexual people and I'm pansexual myself so believe that is not the issue here.

No puedo comprender a las personas que según defienden este titulo, sinceramente y me expreso, te dicen homofobico o que no eres lo suficientemente maduro, miren sus propios argumentos cegados por el hecho de que 25 horas de gameplay fueron de los "Realistas" de sus vidas, primero que nada, este juego es en un apocalipsis, sacan a un personaje de la nada y mata al personaje principal en las primeras horas de juego solo a conveniencia y sin respetar en nada la VERDADERA obra maestra que fue el primero, la narrativa opaca al maravilloso trabajo técnico del equipo que pasaron 15 horas diarias detallando todo para que al menos la experiencia no fuera así de mala 3/10 solo este juego es la total forma de que imponer ideologias de forma forzada no trae nada, ademas de ser un gran ejemplo de que para gustos hay colores, y me atrevo a decir que los que dicen que es "masterpiece" tienen los peores gustos y 0 argumentos mas alla de los mismos para defender su pobre juego.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The technical traits of the game like the graphics and the gameplay are great. The flashback of Joel singing to Ellie and the surprise he had for her birthday were beautiful moments too.

    But the storyline...

    What were they thinking??? Honestly I think many people will agree with me that this whole game was a huge slap in the face from ND. The fact that the characters didn't have character development at all and they just forgot what was really important about the story. The "revenge is bad" theme could've been taught in many other ways better than this failure. We didn't see what happened to Ellie's parents, her immunity to the virus seems insignificant at this point, we couldn't see more of Joel's past in order to understand his character even more and we didn't get to see enough of Ellie's and Joel's relationship. This game had so much potential and the final product was just an excuse of a game with a more than obvious forced agenda that they forgot what really mattered. And if they tried to make me feel emphatic towards Abby they didn't succeed at all, not after how terribly this character was written. And it's no fun that I had to play as her either when I never developed a connection with her in the first place. And the fact that they used Joel to make false advertisement of the game by tricking us into believing that he was alive. Just wow. And not to mention the way he died. That was SO disrespectful to Joel's character and the fans. A character that beloved deserved better. I'm okay with that fact that he died, but the WAY he died, I'm just extremely sad and disappointed. For someone who doesn't have a real father myself and the fact that their father and daughter relationship was something I really treasured and loved and they just destroyed that by having loved characters acting out of character and seeing Ellie acting all rude towards Joel and they couldn't even have a chance to work things out between them it just leaves me heartbroken. They were the essence of the game and now that has vanished for me and I'm sure many feel the same way. I was really hoping this was going to be a beautifully crafted story but I guess the wallet was more important than actual storytelling. Maybe this will teach them that caring for their fans, story and characters is better rather than pushing a message that just comes out as forced and negative.    … Expand

    ...The Last of us part 2 is not canon for me. It pulls the fantastic first part into the dirt. I'm really disappointed. Never again. I hope Corey Balrog makes better deciosions then Naughty Dog. What a disappointment.

    Gameplay-wise this game deserves a solid 7. It is by no means a better version of the first game. It plays smoother, visuals are stunning. However for a 30 hours of play-through it feels stale and boring. Killing is repetitive and not fun. While you feel guilt for executing enemies that have "real-life backgrounds" and names, most of them have similar models and names. Thus it still feelsGameplay-wise this game deserves a solid 7. It is by no means a better version of the first game. It plays smoother, visuals are stunning. However for a 30 hours of play-through it feels stale and boring. Killing is repetitive and not fun. While you feel guilt for executing enemies that have "real-life backgrounds" and names, most of them have similar models and names. Thus it still feels like NPC's emotions are not real. Upgrade mechanics are useless. You can basically speedrun the whole game without even paying attention to the details. Seattle is a city of writers where everybody had to write down notes before they died, it looks stupid and unrealistic. Game lacks voice recorder similar to the first part.
    The plot of the game is simple and while it could be really good if the writers managed to develop new characters properly. That is unfortunately not the case in TLOU2. Newly intoduced heroes lack motivation, their highlights are mostly cliche which leads player to not being able to establish the proper connection with them. While Abby seems like a solid character at first, her decisions are questionable and her plot armor is annoying. Yara and Lev could be much more reasonable characters than they are. Everyone's backstory around Abby feels like a filler.    … Expand

How the game, in as few strokes as necessary, establishes deep emotional connection between Joel and Sarah, while luring us to think that she's POV, the main hero of this story. And then takes her life away in a heart-breaking scene, establishing an overarching narrative that "No matter what, you keep finding something to fight for"? And all these in 15 minutes.

    Now, let's dissect what Last of Us Part II has to offer in the first one hour of "gameplay". The first scene is actually good: Joel recalls the events of Part I, telling the story to Tommy. Too bad this is the last good scene in a whole hour - that alone already says something about the story. Then we ride through a gorgeous environment for as long as 5 minutes for absolutely no reason other than show off what the game engine is capable of. Then we have an incredibly awkward scene of Joel trying to talk to Ellie. They spent at least a year together, why would they act so awkward while talking to each other, for **** sake? Did they lose trust in each other? If so, why? The game doesn't care to explain itself. Then we got a yet another awkward scene with Dina and Jesse: two new characters introduced so abruptly that it's hard to find any interest at them whatsoever. And yeah, Ellie refuses to take sandwiches as an apology from another guy, because he's "bigot". Top-tier woke writing here, ladies and gentlemen. That we got few establishing scenes for Abby - new protagonist, but once again, the game just doesn't give her enough time to become more or less valuable, something else other than "plot-device driven by whatever stupid narrative writers have". Next. we have absolutely ****ing cherry-on-top scene with Ellie that kinda forgotten that she cares about Joel, that he means a lot to her, because, guess what! She has a lesbian girlfriend now! So, they smoke ****ing pot, kiss, and almost **** each other, while knowing that Joel and Tommy are ****ING MISSING and they're on a ****ING MISSION TO SAVE THEM. Come on, game, what the actual **** In the meantime, Joel and Tommy save Abby - someone who they've met for the first time in their life, ride to her hideout, casually give away their identity while knowing that it might be dangerous. Ellie tries to save Joel from a **** that the writers put him into, but it's too late, cause Ellie was too ****ing busy smoking pot and scissoring her new lesbian girlfriend. We already know how this one ends.

    So, what did we got from just one hour of Part II gameplay? The pacing is **** the dialogues are **** (I swear to god, words like "Okay", "Yeah", "Right" were repeated at least a few hundred times between Joel, Ellie, Dina, and Jesse). Character development is nonexistent. I have no ****ing clue what kind of crack writers were smoking while writing this mess, but it's not acceptable. But well, who am I to judge?

    True 10/10 material, best game of the generation. If you don't agree, you're bigot, manchild, incel, and hater. Deal with it.    … Expand

God Awful writing and out of character moments. This game is just a slap in the face to all fans who fell in love with the original.

    Honestly most dissapointing game of the generation for me. I saw the leaks but still wanted to go in open minded and enjoy the game for what it has to offer. While the gameplay is ok and the grafics are good everything about the story turned out to be even worse than exspected. First time being dissapointed with ND. I really don't get how all those reviewers brought this game up to a 95.

    This game is a disrespect to the masterpiece that the first game was. It has a forced agenda and it doesnt do justice for some characters while forcing others in our faces. Overall a really bad experience and makes me sad about what this franchise has become.

    Open world: 9/10 The fact that the player can more openly explore the world when in seattle is a big improvement

    Enemy AI: 7/10 I didn't see much improvement, perhaps the difficulty level might affect this
    My biggest complaint for this game

    sound/music: 9/10 both were awesome I think in the game but I didn't get the same feeling as the first game, it felt more like this wasn't as impacting as the first game, perhaps thats my own fault comparing the two

    Character development: Perhaps the most disappointing and tied in with story: 4
    the fact that some of the characters act in the way they do is an obvious indication of the intent that was made here and its sad that the directors own personal agenda was more important then breaking new ground here. a big lost opportunity here    … Expand

I was so thrilled for the day it finally released... but I was let down... The graphics are breath taking, the controls are pretty smooth to me. But the story.... oh god the story... It is a mess. I was beyond devastated... The first The Last of Us has a brilliant story and it tries its best to hold you in its grasp and won't release you until the end. Part to does the exact opposite... It slaps you in the face. PArt 2 is more like a retarded little brother than a full fletched Sequel.
    I don't think that LGBTQ+ is a bad thing. There are way too less examples of those characters in videogames. Ellie was a good start in Left Behind. Lev's story was really sad.... imagine you being the one who gets denied who you are....
    The LAst of Us Part 2 tried to be many things... but in the end... it failed to be at least one of them... a worthy Sequel

    The Last of Us 2 improves on on the original in ever way. The game packed with emotional moments. And the gameplay is raw and brutal. It’s not the easiest game to play. The combat is brutal and tense. But so is this world. I find that every few hours I have to step back and reflect on everything that’s just happened. But is this game a masterpiece!? Yes...yes it is.

It was amazing, sad, brilliant, savage, heartbreaking, like should be an apocalypse story. I'm not even mad for Joel death, I really loved this character and his death was maybe brutal, but I will remember this character forever, how much he was important for Ellie as a father-like figure, but he wasn't a perfect human being, he made mistake too and the end of his life came, paying for his actions. He's still unforgettable. I can understand why you can get mad and sad about it, but no need to cry like a baby just for it (or anything else in the story or in the characters, come on, grow up). It's a apocalypse game, what you excepted ? A fairytale story where everything and everyone are kind and gentle and perfect? People die, people get revenge, it's normal. LTOU II is a great game about the apocalypse and everything what's involve, even if it's shocking. The characters developements was correct and credible, playing Abby was suprising and interesting to see her point of views and what she's did was totally understable (I personnaly think), her character came with some interestings choices. The end is maybe not 'a perfect ending story', but it's impacting, killing Abby won't bring back Joel, I think Ellie made a good decision, even after all she came trought, she realise something. Now she need to find peace in her mind and move on. The first game was about family love trought the end of world, now it's about something crual, revenge, anger, and it's perfectly coherent and realistic. Anyway, Neil Druckmann and his team still made an incredible game, you can disagree about some things that you don't like, it's correct, but no need to be an **** like some people here. The story, voice acting, musics, ambiance and gameplay was incredible and I will remember this game for long time. Congrats.… Expand

    A few hours in and so far it's easily one of the best games out this year. Not sure why all the criticism but really liking the game and so far it's kind of following on perfectly from the 1st game. I can see how the story is leading and I'm happy with it.

Me alegra que este juego sea así, sin tratar de complacer a todo el mundo y que se haya plasmado así tal cual las intenciones de los creadores del juego. UNA OBRA MAESTRA TOTAL en todos sus aspectos, lo termine en 2 días es larguísimo pero muy inmersivo había veces que me olvidaba que era un juego. Graphics are fenomenal, mechanics are the same from the first game but evolved (which is exactly what they should've done), accessibility is to applaud. Technically it's an amazing game. But then we get to the story.
    You don't play The Last of Us for the graphics or the mechanics, you play The Last of Us for the story. And Naughty Dog f*cked up royally story-wise.

    The first game is the best game I've ever played in my life. The narrative took me with amazing characters into a rollercoaster of emotions. However, instead of a rollercoaster, Part II just goes downwards, it's only negative feelings, there's never good feelings (except for the Joel and Ellie's flashbacks). In contrast we have the first game that had cute moments like Ellie stealing the toy for Sam; earned love demonstrations like the "everyone f*cking except for you" scene and how Joel hugs Ellie and calls her little girl; scary moments and funny moments thoughout the game; the fear of losing Joel when he falls onto the rebar and the relief when you see he's actually alive. Part II doesn't have that essence. It tries to shove us shallow relationships between characters, but we don't have a connection to actually care about any of them. And the game doesn't do a good job on building it. Part II just shows revenge and a bloodbath, killing (almost) everyone on your way. It's just negative emotions thoughout the game.

    Then we get to everyone's first or second favorite character's death, which happens in the first 2 hours of the game. Come on ND, you are smarter than that. The reason this game became one of the best of all time was the Joel-Ellie relationship. And instead of building over the amazing foundation you set with the first game, you decide to scrap all that and kill the main character in one of the dumbest ways possible for him. Both Joel and Tommy are survivors, they would never be so careless with people they don't know.
    But if that's not enough, we are also forced to play as his murderer! And not for a little while, you spend almost half of the game playing as Abby so that you can understand why she killed Joel. Guess what ND, from the moment she kills my favorite character, she's immediatly unlikeable! I cannot relate to her! I don't care if you try to humanize her, I don't care about her story, I don't want to play with the person who killed my favorite character.

    To make things worse, after killing hundreds of people to get her revenge over Joel and being seconds away from killing Abby, Ellie decides to let her go. So all those people died for nothing. She lost two fingers, Jesse died, Tommy lost an eye, Dina left her, Joel is dead. It was all for nothing.

    Naughty Dog tried to show us how being good or bad guys is just a perspective. Joel was a bad guy for Abby, but her father was a bad guy for Joel. They tried to show us how the path of revenge is a destructive one that only makes you lose things. They tried to show us how, even though we may love a character, he is just a regular guy that can die in the same way any other would in that universe. They went the realistic way. But we were already emotionally invested. For a game that wants to mess with people's emotions, they failed to take that into consideration. Every single penny they make with this game is because of the first one. It's obvious that people wouldn't like to see their favorite character treated with such disrespect.

    The sad thing is there will probably be a Part III. But I'm not even remotely interested. Naughty Dog, the company responsible for creating the best game I've ever played, killed the best game I've ever played. I'll try to take my mind off it and consider the first game a one and done thing.

    The Last of Us 1 left me wanting desperately a sequel. The Last of Us Part II left me wanting desperately to forget there ever was a sequel.    … Expand

    Great graphics, great gameplay, great acting, great score and a bit of a disappointing story but they tried to make something unique and different and not the same rehash of the first game which i can appreciate.

Abby should not be a playable character the fact that she is is almost as dumb as drinking bleach. They kill Joel and Jesse like they were random characters. Try to build emotion for killing the people that killed Joel even though non of us give single **** about them. Let Abby live after she kills Jesse and somehow doesn’t kill tommy just shot him in the head(makes sense). I wish they never made sequel ruined my favorite game franchise. Idk how the people who created uncharted could **** up this so bad.… Expand
