    The graphics and the story are well done. I only played the game until Seattle Day 2. I'm looking forward to how the story continues.

    Probablemente la gente solo quería ver morbo y fetichismo sabiendo que Ellie libremente estaría atada a una compañera como Deana, las malas críticas solo se basan en gente que de seguro juegan Fortnite y Warzone y ya se creen los mejores críticos de los videojuegos, sin duda para mi TLOU2 es uno de los mejores juegos del año, les guste o no!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It seems that most of the bad reviews for this game are substantiated in a need for linear storytelling. The storytellers rightly thought that it was time to exhibit both perspectives of the harsh realities we all experience. Nothing is linear and plainly black/white in any respect, even though we want it to be. This is why people love those circus superhero movies— very simply, easy to identify with “good vs evil” plot. That isn’t the way the real world works, and it looks like the simple world view that draws people to plain, ‘good vs. evil’ Batman-type nonsense is the same thing that is stopping people from understanding and subsequently enjoying this masterpiece. Yes, it’s hard to watch Joel and Elli quarrel. It’s really hard to watch Jesse die after you grow to like him, or to watch Ellie and Dina separate, unless you have some kind of weird hang-up about same-sex romance, which seems like the case for some of you. It’s difficult to think about the potential regrets that Ellie has in regards to her somewhat neglectful treatment of Joel as of late— never telling him she loves him or she’s thankful for him. That’s all really difficult, but it makes you feel something. That’s how art works. Good art should make you feel uncomfortable because it forces you to stare into the abyss of meaning.

    Most of you just want to swing from buildings with your webs and mash x until everything is dead because you’re the ‘good guy’ and they are the ‘bad guy’. Grow up. That’s just a response to story criticism. Beyond that, art and environment are staggering, writing has some of the most authentic displays of human interaction I’ve seen in media, the gameplay is smooth, and the game is a great length. The one negative I’d concede is that stealth is a little choppy, at least for me. There are instances where it doesn’t really make sense for the enemy to have not seen you as well as the opposite case, but maybe that was just human error.    … Expand

    It's an awesome game. That being said, it also tries to be a piece of art in using different approaches to tell a story. Great art is always controversial so it's understandable that some people hate it for not re-telling the bubbly Father&daughter-bonding story again that was very easy to relate to. If you appreciate art because you're interested in of what the artist wants to tell you,It's an awesome game.     I honestly cannot understand all of the negative reviews that The Last of Us Part II is getting and it shocks me that true LoU fans cannot get past the intense/controversial moments and respect and appreciate the team taking the story in a different direction to evolve the characters and world in a way that they reasonably would if this was real life. I tend to be an optimist, but I can't disagree that these sorts of events, factions and emotions would arise in a post apocalyptic style world. You may not like it, or agree with it, but you can't deny that this type of tension between surviving humans could happen and that the toll that takes on our beloved characters could change them in ways we may struggle with looking from the outside in. Coming online to bash a game that so many people dedicated 100s of hours of their lives to because within your first few hours with the game you didn't like some of the narrative choices or character developments just blows my mind and seems so shallow and immature.

    The game immediately drew me back into that hostile world from nearly a decade ago and I genuinely wanted to explore every inch of the environments that the team brought to life. Every detail of each scene, room, building, etc. was thoroughly thought through and you can tell that everyone involved soaked their hearts into designing a world that is believable.

    Yes the game is dark at times, and tough to get through, but that's how you know it's compelling. If a game can make you squirm, tense up, cry, laugh and literally just stare in amazement, it's a testament to a well written and designed game that draws you in emotionally as a player. Each cut scene had my full attention and even though some of the tougher moments were difficult to play or watch, I knew I had to see the story to the end. And to all the critics slamming the team for building SJW themes into a game, get over it, it's 2020. I even dislike having to put the term 'SJW' into my review because if having strong female characters and LBGTQ sexual orientations or gender identities in a video game is considered "social justice" we have a much bigger problem in our contemporary world even without an apocalyptic event occurring.

    To Halley and Neil and the rest of the Naughty Dog crew, please know that the a vast majority of the LoU audience is more mature than this and a lot of us can take the emotional toll that the game places on us to be rewarded with something that's unique, thought provoking and immersive. We can understand how tough some of these decisions must have been to make, but also can understand why they were done. Please don't ever shy away from telling the compelling stories you want to, or building the characters that you feel are appropriate regardless of what the masses want - that's ultimately what will continue to allow the gaming world to evolve. It's what made us fall in love with TLoU Part I and it's what has made me love Part II. Thank you for the incredible effort put into this story and game.    … Expand

It has 34k negative ratings, and most of those came out the day of release, 99% from people who heard what happens in the game and didn't like it, following the leaders of their youtube/twich groupthink.

    Gameplay: 10/10 - This is easily among the best gameplay the PS4 has to offer. Anyone discounting gameplay to give this game a 1 either didn't play the game or is so immeasurably butthurt, their review should be withdrawn from the calculation.
    Graphics: 9.5/10 - See above
    Story: 8/10 - The story isn't as good as the first game, but TLoU's story was probably the best in any game ever, so that is hard to beat. It was also a vastly different game, focused on one character's selfishness and restrained madness. Joel channeled his lack of ability to save his daughter and her death at the hands of humans to Elie and his general hatred for humanity. This made him choose Elie over humanity, despite not giving Elie a choice in the matter. Joel was selfish and wanted Elie to live to sate his own failures, and keep him from loneliness. This selfish and hateful act inevitably brings its comeuppance both in his demise and the turn to madness monstrosity that befalls the one he was so desperate to save. It is like what he held onto was a hatred and disgust for humanity, and that manifested in Elie by no agency of her own. People forget that the fireflies saved Elie from drowning. She was incapacitated when they took her to the surgery room to save humanity. Marlene knew Elie far better than Joel, and knew she would be more than willing to have sacrificed herself so that all those she lost would not have died in vain, so that there would be no more Rlieys killed by this plague.
    Balls: 15/10 - It is refreshing for a game to take such daring steps that they know will inevitably anger the gamer bro and white nationalist communities.    … Expand

    This game is unlike any other and will go down as a classic--as no other game in history has made you question the morality of your protagonists like The Last of Us Part 2. The graphics, animation, environments, combat are incredible, and the story, while controversial, is extremely well written. Congrats to the team at Naughty Dog for shaking the games industry to its core once again.

    This is a game about love, hate, revenge and most importantly grief. It left me shell shocked and weeping in my bed at 5 in the morning.

    I started the game as one person and finished as a different one. My heart now bears wounds that I doubt will ever heal.

    El juego respecto a escenarios, inmersión, jugabilidad es bueno pero nada fuera del otro mundo. Donde cae completamente es en su historia. Se entiende la inclusión, pero era necesario que fuera como lo mostraron (?) Además del cambio del cambio de actitud del personaje en tan poco tiempo. Sinceramente hubiera llevado otro nombre. No puedo creer que sea la secuela del primer juego.

But The Last of Us Part 2 ruined the franchise for me. I admit i am only half way through the game and I am not mad they killed Joel, what I am mad about is how how they did it. He died out of character. He was always someone who was skeptical of strangers and tried his best to stay out of situations like he was in. But in part 2, he just walked right into a room knowing he probably has people looking for him after how many people he's killed in the past. Not only that but part 2 make you play as the person who kills Joel.... **** that. Every time I controlled Abby, i just wanted to quit the game. The only feeling I had for her was HATE. The things the game did good on, Graphics, kept the combat the same while introducing more variables to keep it interesting. But the pace was very off. There were too many collectibles and slow moving parts to keep the story interesting.… Expand

    The sequel is a masterpiece that succeeds the first in almost every way. The darker, much more realistic human connections and conflicts, even gameplay are all still there. Este jogo chocou tanto as pessoas que amavam o personagem do Joel com a sua morte, que nada além disso ficou visível para alguns jogadores, o que é bastante triste aliás. É um jogo sensacional, nos detalhes, visual, representatividade, jogabilidade, história principalmente e ainda possui muitos plot-twists. Cada juego debe ser una experiencia propia, muchos lo critican viendo como lo jugaba alguien mas y repitiendo los mismos comentarios de siempre, es un juego que logra enganchar, un juego diferente, no tendremos los finales felices que todos esperábamos. Estamos en un mundo en el que Joel le quito la oportunidad al mundo de volver a empezar y de sanarse, eso no lo hace un héroe, pero el tenia sus motivos, así como muchas personas tenían razones para matarlo. Estamos en un mundo demasiado dañado, en el que cada uno busca su propia manera de sobrevivir, nadie es el bueno ni el malo, solo hacen necesario para proteger a los suyos, y desde otro punto de vista siempre fuimos los malos.
    Este juego es una experiencia única, tiene escenas muy sentimentales, y una narración ambiental brutal, hace el uso de flash de una manera espectacular en el que nos muestra la evolución de los personajes, y como ese Joel que vimos invencible en la primera parte se fue ablandando y volviendo mas humano, al punto de no querer arriesgarse con Ellie porque no la quería perder, sin embargo tiene demasiada carga encima. Al final es el propio jugador que debe hacer sus propias reflexiones frente a la historia.

I don't get hyped for games much anymore, but I was looking forward to this game. Unfortunately I was let down with the the execution of the story and lack of innovation to this game.

    The Last of Us Part II is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen on any console and / or PC and it is simply a Masterpiece, anyone who writes that he did not like it should not review or play any video game.

I mean the proof is in the pudding, why else would films like Blade Runner 2049 and Silence flop in the box office, while garbage like the Star Wars sequels and the Avengers are at the top of the lists? I don't know why people are so dumb, hateful and failing to appreciate when good stuff actually come out (it happens so rarely nowadays) and the depths to which Naughty Dog expands the world, characters and ideas of the Last of Us in Part II is nothing short of special. I don't know why most people are so dumb and I don't really give a flying ****, nor should the few who are capable of appreciating what was done here. This game is a masterpiece either way.… Expand

Druckmann expanded the plot is so cool that I have no words. But, since this is a review, let's start: 1. Plot. I always rate games based on the story first! The Last of Us 2 is a tragedy!     I was finished the TLOU2. The feeling after ending the depression and feeling completely depressed. It's not a game, it's an experience. Druckmann expanded the plot is so cool that I have no words. But, since this is a review, let's start:

    1. Plot. I always rate games based on the story first! The Last of Us 2 is a tragedy! The tragedy of two people, blinded by a desire for revenge! In the course of the game, we can see how this desire for revenge burns everything around them like Napalm. Neil perfectly showed that this desire is absolutely empty! So many deaths – and all completely in vain, because in the end, two destinies were outcasts, first of all-for themselves. Passing the game, you as it were live these two destinies! The secondary characters are superbly revealed: pay attention to Owen and Dinah – after all, they were the ones who tried to reach Abby and Ellie, because they had already gone too far. Got through! But at what cost?! Now I am writing this mini-review, and I am dripping with tears, even though I passed the game just yesterday.

    2. Plot. I want to discuss it. I want to ask questions. I want to put myself in the place of the main characters – and what would I do? It got to the point that at tense and key moments, I was beg the characters to leave this bloody campaign, and just accept what was already there. Yes! This is not a game, this is a pure experience. After ending, there were ruins inside me, I was completely depressed and exhausted mentally. Unfortunately, I can't decide to play it again. I don't have the guts to go through it again.
    3. Graphics are excellent, ND tried their best. I didn't notice any drawdowns. To be honest, I didn't pay close attention to the graphics.
    4. Gameplay: great new mechanics, but damn it....none of this matters. Right now, I can't think of anything else but the plot of this experience.
    5. The process keeps in constant tension. Just a little respite to gather supplies. Hide, silently avoid, run headlong, shoot back while driving a car or horse – you do not have to be bored in this regard.
    6. LGBT propaganda. Even before the announcement, there was a lot of negative noise on the Internet about this agenda. I tried to spot any sign of propaganda, and...I never found it. There is love in the game, it can be different, and everyone decides who to be with and sleep with. Personally, this "propaganda" did not affect me in any way. From the word-nothing at all.

    And now for the cons:

    The reaction of the community.
    1. I will not say anything new here. That storm of indignation, rage, hatred is quite expected, and alas - not justified. Players, who wrote negative reviews only in a certain context-could not see the main message.
    2. Yes, love can be different-Ellie's orientation was mentioned in Left Behind, and the fact that she transformed into a full-fledged, albeit complex relationship is quite natural.
    3. No, the world doesn't revolve around Joel: saving Ellie in the first part, he killed entire settlements, sacrificed the future of humanity, and then they came for him. Oh, that's weird, right? Not vital at all, lol. This couldn't have happened in real life, could it?
    4. Abby is transgender? Then I have bad news for you – she is a completely ordinary woman, and in the game she never associated herself with the other sex. Pumped up? How to resist Joel? An experienced smuggler with hundreds of dead bodies to his credit? Of course, she was preparing for this meeting, and throughout the game, we are constantly told about this. Only in the movies, a weak girl becomes a killer machine with military training in 5 minutes. Here, Abby prepared for the full program, because she was driven by a desire for revenge.

    Unfortunately, this game has received a lot of negative reviews. But we've been through this before, and more than once. As one person said, and he was horribly right: the games have grown, the players have not. I sincerely thank Druckmann and the entire team of Naughty Dog for this masterpiece, and I want to wish them creative success!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. No game is perfect (except for Red Dead 2), but this one is pretty good. Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 1 were better, though. This one kind’a feels like pure torture porn and was a real downer; could have done with some comedic relief if they didn’t kill off all the likable characters just as they started to get interesting. Looking at you, Jesse.

    Overall, pretty good game. Story kept me interested and had me attempting to understand characters’ mindsets and why they were doing the things they were doing. Which, nowadays, is pretty rare. Most games just have a bad guy who is the bad guy and you don’t really have to think about anything else except for how you were going to kill them and how many more fights it would take to get to the next boss fight or cool cutscene. Gameplay was tense and engaging, which is always nice, and it never really got old for me as I was playing on really hard difficulties where I was basically fighting bros with a pair of pampers diapers stuffed inside a bottle of vodka with only a single bullet in my **** starter pistol.

    I know some of the **** that goes down really sucks, boys, but that shouldn’t mean the game is a 0. I’ve played 100+ games on my ps4 (I have pc, xbox 360, one, and switch) alone, and I don’t think I’ve ever played a game that was a zero. Like, c’mon guys, let’s be rational. If an 8 is an 80% or a B in the American education system, then that is what I’m giving this game. I dunno, thought it was fun. Hopefully you can respect my opinion and I’ll respect yours in return. Just wish everybody could get along, I guess. Makes me sad seeing us all divided over this in such a chaotic time. But, yeah, the people that are saying this game is life-altering or that it’s some sort of profound piece of art need to shut up as it’s really cringey. Yeah, I found it to be an interesting dive into the mindsets of two characters parallel to one another as well as the themes of revenge not being worth it in the end. And, yes, I did find that it tied in with the real world and connected to me on a personal level, as I think everyone has wanted to get back at someone for something but then realized it would be futile on the end. So, yeah, it gave me a new perspective on the idea of revenge, but it’s not like it’s some life-altering piece of art, man. This is a game where you punch mushroom people in the face, it’s not that deep.

В The Last of Us 2 разрабы забыли что делают продукт для других, а не для себя. А ЛГБТ движение так агрессивно нападает на альтернативные мнения, что многие не хотят его высказывать просто чтобы не быть оскорбленными, даже когда мнение обосновано. Ведь в этой отрыжке Дракмана и Саркисян нормальные люди с однополыми сексуальными предпочтениями выставлены как моральные уроды которые вызывают антипатию. Так игры не делаются. Дракман и им подобные халтурщики забывают, что если люди не смогут спокойно высказывать свою точку зрения о своих предпочтениях, то им придется замалчивать что им на самом деле нравится и что не нравится. И возникнет парадоксальная ситуация (в общем-то нынешняя ситуация) когда люди не могут открыто сказать правду о том что плохо, но высказываться о продукте будут как о плохом, цепляясь за незначительные аспекты. Халтурщики-разрабы будут обращать внимание на эти аспекты и пытаться их исправить, но главную причину недовольства не устранят ведь о ней не говорят (а то о чем не говорят вроде бы как не проблема и этого не
    существует). И наступает момент когда никто ничего не понимает в том что нравиться людям. Вообще то люди мстительны и если не смогут откровенно высказаться о своих предпочтениях без угрозы быть оплеванными, то они будут мстить, а именно относиться без какого снисхождения. Blizzard c их китайским скандалом и diablo immortal, EA с их абсурдным battlefield 5, ни никому не нужный Mass Effect: Andromeda, Ubisoft с придурковатым far cry new dawn, Bethesda с их лживым Fallout 76, а теперь и Naughty Dog...     AMAZING game!

    The graphics and sound design are from another world, the atmosphere ranges from sweet to tense, very fluid, diverse and balanced game play. The story, although divisive, is well written, with many dialogues and lore scattered through the game play, that helps the natural development of the world and the game characters.

    One of the bests games on the PS4, no doubts about it.

Still hasnt addressed ellies immunity, I highly doubt there was only one person alive that could develop a cure. Bouts of long exploration followed by 10 minutes of action, exploration was boring. Forced you to explore for collectibles. I was more interested in the story from the letters then the games story. Completely mealiness ending, kills everyone else for revenge but the person who actually killed joel, even kills a pregnant woman. Forced ending, forces you to fight a group with no context besides that they take prisoners for forced labor. Ellie loses her fingers in the last fight and cant leave joels guitar legacy behind unless she learns to play the guitar lefty. Very poorly written and leaves you with more questions about what happens at the end. Unfulfilling.… Expand

    Don't listen to all the whiners - the story is very well written and breaks on purpose with expectations. It's almost like Game of Thrones in the early seasons.
    The graphics and especially the sound are stellar. The gameplay is similar to part one but more refined. The story arc got some pacing issues, there are some lengths in the game, breaking the    Simply put - a Masterpiece.

    When I saw the trailers for the game, I imagined a simple and sweet revenge story. Ellie and Joel going across the county to kill someone who had killed someone they loved. That isn't what this game is, and it's a better game for not just being that. My simple fan-fiction version of the narrative is easy to stomach, it's black and white and it doesn't have any depth to it.

    The Last of Us 2 does the opposite. Instead of offering an easy to digest revenge fantasy, it forces you to see a bigger picture from different perspectives. It forces you, the player, to do things as characters in the game that are reprehensible, and with knowledge that we have but the characters don't, it can be incredibly hard to stomach. When the credits finally rolled on the ending of the game, I spent hours thinking about what had happened over the course of the story. I don't know if I've ever played a game that made me think as much as this did.

    Is it a happy, easy to digest narrative that everyone will enjoy? No, it's definitely not. But it's a deep, thought provoking tale about loss, anger, revenge and forgiveness. It's a story, like the first game, about characters making the wrong choices for love and not knowing if they can live with the consequences. Yes, I understand why so many people didn't enjoy this game. It forces you to live in the shoes of people who have been wronged, and to understand them. It forces you to question the decisions that characters you love have made. It forces you to think. And not everyone wants to do that.    … Expand

    explain to me the cheap death of joel. How a main character, so smart to have survived 25 years simply gets inside a house full of strangers with his same experienced veteran brother, both give out their names. Explain why we played as Abby half of the game when all we wanted was see her suffer. Explain how the game could have ended at peace but ellie decides to go after her again (thankfully), yet when she is just about to kill her finally, she has a stupid flashback of Joel (what makes me mad is that another flashback made her go after Abby again)and decides to spare her. In the end, ellie lost everyone, 2 fingers, didn't get revenge, but Abby got her revenge and got a happy ending with Lev. Wasn't this game abou Ellie's revenge? Didn't you want Ellie to get revenge? Who gives 2 **** about Abby honestly. **** that trash game. Neil **** and his stupid "deep" meaning ideas. If the game solely consisted of Flashbacks of Joel and Ellie like those from the museum, it would have been a masterpiece. For me this game shouldn't have existed, it all have ended in the first game. Period.    … Expand

The story was well written, but most people are posting bad reviews by not playing it themselves and listening to other people's opinions. Many people dont like the story because they probably played this game after watching a disney movie and expect a happy ending but there are no heroes in this game. Am glad Naughty Dog made this game realistic and not some fairy tale. Neil Druckman also said to keep an open mind while playing. Рассказывать про сюжет можно многое, но он действительно неплох, учтите, не шедеврален, а неплох. Но вот в чем-чем, а в геймплейной части игра стала на голову выше, да, основа у него одна, и я не понимаю людей, которые ругают эту игру за устаревший геймплей, а какой геймплей вы хотите, это тот же The Last of Us, который многим понравился, из-за своего геймплея (да, я знаю, что там не переднем плане все-же история). В сиквеле появился "вертикальный" геймплей, взятый по большей части из Uncharted, где он весьма неплох, теперь можно заползать под некоторые объекты, добавили траву разной высоты, и эта трава не такая, как, допустим в Asassin's Creed, где враг может вплотную стоять к главному герою, и не замечать его, в TLoU2 тебя спокойно могут заметить в траве с близкого расстояния, а целиться, если противник смотрит в твою сторону - еще опаснее. Касательно ИИ, он здесь стал на уровень выше, противники не стали, конечно, намного умнее из первой части, но вот если они знают от вашем присутствии, они начинают ходить не по своему обычному маршруту, а разбредаются по всей карте, точно так же и с зараженными. Появились новые очень опасные твари - шаркуны, каждая встреча с ними в игре, довольно неприятная, ибо они живучие. В игре несколько раз встретится старый-добрый топляк. Выглядеть он стал куда страшнее, а главное - теперь это как целый босс, он стал намного выносливее, и может поглотить огромнейший урон, так же в игре есть парочка еще более ужасный тварей, но о них рассказывать я не стану, ибо это с такими лучше повстречаться самому - чувства будут острее. Эта игра просто необходима к покупке, если вам нравится первая часть, она, может сюжетно и не шедевр, как ожидало большое количество людей, и их негодование можно понять, решения, принятые разработчиками очень смелые, но игра не заслуживает таких низких оценок от людей, по-большей части не прошедших ее, а просто последовавших стаду.… Expand

    Low scores only because of story. As everyone knows they messed it up trying to keep it spoiler free. If anyone ever cared for joel in LOU 1. Then this game is disappointing its tragic to see such a beautiful franchise loosing its path. I personally feel the game missed a big opportunity in terms of story. They could have done a much better writing. The gameplay mechanics and graphics, aiLow scores only because of story. As everyone knows they messed it up trying to keep it spoiler free. If anyone ever cared for joel in LOU 1. Then this game is disappointing its tragic to see such a beautiful franchise loosing its path. I personally feel the game missed a big opportunity in terms of story. They could have done a much better writing. The gameplay mechanics and graphics, ai stuffs are amazing. But story wise nah. I feel like i want to know more what happened. I feel they mushed two games into one abby could have been a seperate game and ellie could have been a seperate game too.     Absolute masterpiece. I don't understand why so many people have an issue with the story. It takes balls to write such a story knowing fully well that more than half of your fans will be against it. I feel like the story was amazing even though it made me extremely emotional and angry at times. It was well worth the wait and definitely the greatest gaming experience of my life.     Replayed the first game a few weeks before the release and I absolutely loved everything about part 2. Extremely emotionally charging and a worthy successor to the story and the characters, while making some really bold moves from a storytelling perspective which worked amazingly and I haven't experienced in another medium so far.

    Naughty Dog's best game so far.

Yes it is gut wrenching to force you to play from POV killer of your favourite character but make every one to see world through her eyes - I suspected that she has good reasons to kill Joel but if you not then that experience should show it to you. Amazing storytelling doesn’t mean that must fulfil YOUR dreams - must keep you on the edge of your seat and make you change your perspective and this game do that.… Expand

    The journey focuses on showing how much ellie's self-centeredness is destroying everything around her, what she is sacrificing to have a meaningless revenge. But why meaningless?     The journey focuses on showing how much ellie's self-centeredness is destroying everything around her, what she is sacrificing to have a meaningless revenge.

    But why meaningless?

    Because ellie’s feeling isn’t about hate or because abby killed Joel but because she couldn’t get a chance to apologize, ellie isn’t angry at abby but at herself for not giving Joel the value while she was alive and because of that selfishness, which is already present when she didn’t put herself in the shoes of the joel when she discovered the truth, she puts herself to the test by trying to make sense of it all, but on the way she loses everything, her friends die, their chance to have a family is destroyed and the brother of their former "father" was sequelted besides she lost her fingers and can no longer play the guitar, the strongest and most palpable memory she had of joel.

    So when she finds herself threatening to kill a child who was passed out and strangling a person who was malnourished who was tortured for days, she realizes how far she has gone and that is losing her humanity for nothing and most importantly THE DEATH OF ABBY IT WON'T GIVE HER CHANCE TO APOLOGIZE, it won't make Joel come back to life, so she gives up and leaves, it makes perfect sense, the character is humanized like everyone else in the cast, the last of us is a realistic game that deals with people's errors, choices and the consequences of their actions and that no one was right from the very beginning, and that's why the story is fantastic.    … Expand

    Best game i have played in a long time. Story is fantastic - you have to let aside your preconception of what you wish the story to be and actually play the game to let the bond with with the caracters slowly build up; just like in the first one.

    Took me around 40 hours to complete the game. Played on Normal. However I'm the kind of guy who tries to collect everything. Either way what is obvious the game is done almost perfectly in the technical area. Actually I came just across 3 bugs - one time the light from the flashlight got disconnected from my character, needed to reload the game from the previous "checkpoint" and it went back to normal. The second bug was with the rope which came alive and was acting like a snake (really - I even recorded a video). The third bug was an NPC stuck because of my companion. Nothing too serious, especially that the game is long, so it's impossible to get rid of all the little bugs.

    However. At first I didn't know what's the buzz about and why do people hate this game. The progressive ideology seemed almost absent, these topics were very minor and acceptable, so it didn't destroy the experience. But then the last 5-6 hours happended and oh boy! It's like some sort of crusade, really. But that's just the cringe stuff - makes you pity-smile, but doesn't ruin your overall experience. So that's not the main problem.

    The problem are the plot holes, blank characters and really naive and stupid twists. The last parts of the game are so bad in matter of the story, choices, etc., that you just want to complete this game and forget it. What's funny though is that actually I liked the parts with Abby and have nothing against this character. The problem is in the story and in the fact that this game is boring-long and it spins the same loop all over again - cutscene, travel, shooting, collecting, and so on, and so on, and so on, dozens of times. Gets so repetitive after a few hours, especially that the locations (in the first 2/3 of the game) look mostly alike (devastated buildings) and the story is not motivating, so you get bored during cutscenes, you don't understand the motivations of the main characters, some things they do are pure nonsense and seem to be in the game just to make it longer. Yup, this game is way too long. The best parts in matter of gameplay are near the end, there's much more diversity and all the perks you acquired during your playthrough give you more opportunities during fights, so it's more fun. But only if you rate the gameplay, which still is far from perfect. While I like the visual diversity in the last parts of the game, I still don't fully like the combat system and the AI which is broken. You can go with the stealth approach and that's cool, but if the enemy spots you everyone runs towards you - all those contaminated just run at you almost without any strategy (yeah, their brains are rotten, I know), human NPCs on the other hand just act stupid. You can stay hidden in one place and kill like half of them, they will come at you one by one in the specific area, then you move to another cover and just wait to slash them, that's about it. And when there's chaos you just don't know what's happening. It gives you a feeling of randomness, many fights are like flipping a coin, you just get frustrated and your skill doesn't seem to matter. Some of the - let's call - bosses are almost impossible to kill, the game is not balanced perfectly (also seems that after a few failures with a "boss" the difficulty is being lowered, but that's just my opinion).

    Either way the story is very weak, near the end it gets cringy because of politics and some other stuff. The game is also way too long, should be much more condensed, especially the first 2/3 of the game. It just gets boring and frustrating - you think it's almost over and you get a few extra hours of gameplay. Sure, this would be great if you like the story, but as the story is bad and you don't feel connected to your characters, you're not motivated and you just have enough of all those really stupid and naive twists. If something that happens like 5 times in the game can still be called a twist, but whatever.

    Still, the game is not bad, but if you liked the 1st one there's a huge chance you'll be disappointed.

    I'm rating this product as a whole - not only the game, but also how Sony and ND is treating the gaming community. It's really the final call to change something, enough is enough. Censorship is bad. If you're tolerant, open, if you actually like other people and if you're for true diversification and acceptance, then accept the fact that someone can have a different opinion or views than you. That's real tolerance that you accept the fact that someone has opposite views! It's easy to tolerate people who share your own vision of the world, right? So, no to discrimination and censorship, yes to liberty of speech!

    And ND, please don't make a Part III. Just leave it as it is.    … Expand

    La storia può non piacere: si può scegliere COME, ma non COSA faranno i personaggi. Sta di fatto che è la storia MEGLIO raccontata. Avere tutti i videogiochi a questo livello, sarebbe un sogno! Ok so,story ,yeah it was sad..but HOW MANY GAMES WILL DO THIS TO YOU ,leaves a feeling and u have to think about it over and over again..at first i was really upset ,but then i realize it was experience, i felt angry,sad ,furious but in the end....

    Gameplay itself is 10/10 ,stealth mechanic ,fighting shooting,just awesome.
    Game didnt bring a lot new things but its ok ,when it works it works.
    I dont really get these negative reviews i really dont, do you review movies same as games when your favorite character or someone who didnt deserved it dies ?
