    I've just finished it. 10/10 isn't enough to rate this game. Part I suprised me how game can get to me and this is nothing compared to Part II. Thank you Noughty Dog. To all others: finish this game before you rate it.

    É a experiência mais absurda que eu já tive a oportunidade de ter em um videogame. Tudo que a história e a imersão em que a parte 2 de The Last of Us me colocou é utópica. Os sentimentos, as reações, o acompanhamento do desenvolvimento da história como se estivesse realmente ali, vivendo ela com os personagens. Transparecer de maneira genuína o ódio, a angústia, o medo e o desespero que umÉ a experiência mais absurda que eu já tive a oportunidade de ter em um videogame. Tudo que a história e a imersão em que a parte 2 de The Last of Us me colocou é utópica. Os sentimentos, as reações, o acompanhamento do desenvolvimento da história como se estivesse realmente ali, vivendo ela com os personagens. Transparecer de maneira genuína o ódio, a angústia, o medo e o desespero que um mundo totalmente hostil pode oferecer, não é uma tarefa fácil. Tarefa concluída com maestria pela Naughty Dog. É uma sequência saudosista no ponto certo com seu antecessor, mantendo a mesma personalidade deste universo melancólico apresentado aos players da primeira parte.     The quality of a story is not determined by whether you like it, especially when there is a lot of other players and media professionals who give quite high comments. It is completely OK to give a low score to the game that you dislike, but just do not call the game a junk, for it could really hurt the hearts of the gamers who love this game.

Because The Last Of Us Part ii was single handed, the best gaming experience I've had in a long while. And these people are either trolling and haven't played, or they have an opinion but are toxic about it. I can safely say that TLOU2 is a masterpiece in not only graphical fidelity, but also its evolved and fluid game mechanics, and its phenomenal narrative structure and storytelling. Developer Naughty Dog took a brave decision with this game, and it worked out. They took the decision to make us play different characters. They took the decision to express Ellie's sexuality to make the story feel more real and immersive to today's society. It honestly breaks me so bad that people are hating on the game just because of the past leaks, or their general opinions on LGBTQ+ communities, or even the fact that the story 'wasn't what they wanted'. Well, guess what. The story was never going to be what you wanted. Everyone wanted Joel to live. Everyone wanted to play as Ellie for the full narrative. But thats not the point of this game. This game's theme is revenge as part, but mainly to teach that actions always have their reactions and outcomes. You are meant to feel loss, sadness, some hatred. You are meant to be mad at the circumstances between Abby and Ellie. And thats what makes it so brilliant. You are pulled in by this immersive, intuitive world that is lush with plantlife and the oid world, combined with imminent danger around every corner. The story of TLOU2 is to show that they're never will be a happy ever after. Even the ending is the saddest ending of any game in my opinion. The timelines perfectly tie in to each other. With Ellie being either one step ahead or behind in the games present day. And also in the playable memories between Ellie and Abby. They are perfectly intertwined. And have perfect parallels too, with both having their father figure murdered in cold blood. Both having their friends killed or hurt. Im telling you this now, this game is a masterpiece. The world is beautiful, the narrative is an emotional wild ride. The gameplay has nothing but been evolved for the better. The interactive moments with characters really immerse you and make you feel exactly what the characters are feeling. The games execution is so good that what you feel is no longer empathy, you feel as if you are Ellie. You are on the journey with her. You feel that you experienced Joels death with her. In which, you did.

    So, anyone who has read this and still thinks the game is disappointing, you're entitled to your opinion as long as you have thoroughly experienced the game and have seen everything. But to the trollers and the toxics, just shut up. You're bloody delusional. I will only hear out your opinions until you learn to be fair, kind and want to have a good discussion about this complex, deep lore written world. Because this game deserves to be remembered, for the brave strides it took, and for its incredible execution. Well done Naughty Dog, well done...

    After 4 years of hype and knowing that I expected something completely different, I am happy to know that all this time was worth it. Half the trophies and 22 hours of games and I still left half of the collectibles behind. And most important of all? I already want to play again.

But even though I was mistaken when buying the game, I was not disappointed in the least. If the game was broken I would understand it, but the big change was the story, which brought something more engaging and the most important of all: something different from anything I've ever seen. I was never a big fan of games, I never cared who I killed or why I was doing that, TLOU P2 showed me why I do this and most impressively, that I should feel guilty about those deaths and that all actions have a reaction.
    Telling the story from two points of view was an excellent move by ND and involved me more in the story. The gameplay was incredibly perfect and fits perfectly with what the game proposes. The violence that the game shows is a faithful reflection of what an apocalypse would be where a small survivor like Ellie would have to do to survive and that makes his actions heavier and more monstrous.
    Something that I think is important is not to get carried away by the negative criticism for the "fan base", because I read several and I conclude that not all of them are of importance since the only argument is that the game would be bad or because of a lesbian relationship , which I think complaining about is backward behavior and shouldn't affect the game's evaluation.
    I claim without the slightest fear that The Last of Us Part II is one of, if not the most perfect game I've played. For the first time in a long time, my actions at stake have influenced my thinking in real life, to the point of making me feel like a terrible person at certain times and a good person at others. Your attitudes matter, and caring for others too, revenge is something that consumes your soul and this game shows you how. it is totally worth playing and I recommend it without a doubt.    … Expand

    I love this game as much as the first. It took me close to 25 hours to finish it, its a real rollercoaster of emotions that adds to the experience. The player is not asked to sympathize with every decision in the game and that makes it special to me. I try to understand the hate, but i dont.     This game tries to teach the same as the first part, perspective. That there is no good or bad objectively, not everyone wins or everyone loses either, only shows persecution even in a painful way.

The more i think about this game the more i love it. I like the third act now and i understand why i didn’t while i was playing it, it’s not meant to be something enjoyable and fun, which most of the game is, even though you’re facing moral dilemmas throughout the entirety of it. The spectacular graphics and playability contribute to make this game a 10/10 for me, i’m definitely replaying it soon. Now, that’s my opinion, maybe you disagree with me and you hate this game and that’s ok. But the overwhelming hate towards this game in just a few hours after it’s release is not fair and not realistic.… Expand

И могу сказать насчет офигенного графона. У меня есть печка 2080ti и oled 4k телик, а такую графику как в lou2 я на pc видел, наверное, только в одной игре.     The last of us Part II is so much more than this. As much as I've loved the first part and its simplicity, this continuation is bolder, much more emotional, more complicated, bleaker, deeper with themes it talks about, and    It's brave storytelling. ND decided to tell their story without fanservice. Many "fans" anticipated fanservice, second TLOU, same stories, same atmosphere, same pacing.
    The last of us Part II is so much more than this. As much as I've loved the first part and its simplicity, this continuation is bolder, much more emotional, more complicated, bleaker, deeper with themes it talks about, and just... better (in my personal opinion). I've never felt so much while playing a video game. And I think I'll never will.
    It is not a game for everyone. But if something is made just to be good for most gamers... sorry, but it needs to compromise the artistic value of the production. Fun and joy are not the goals here and I think majority rejects the game exactly because of the complexity of emotions it provokes. And naturally so. Nobody likes such complex emotions which apparently people have hard time processing nowadays and hard time facing the gray area of human existence, a duality and complexity we all represent. It is realistic and existential and it is damn hard. It cuts close to the bone to an extent that it is not fiction anymore and seem too real. Especially in times like these.

    But i believe it was necessary reminder. Naughty Dog were brave to do it so perfectly nuanced and on point. They did it very well. Public reaction is proof. They did what they wanted to achieve and not without fighting great doubts i believe. That is how true art is born, that is how things change and that is why they should be proud of their achievement even if right now it doesn't feel so rewarding.

    People need time to process.

    I want to believe that after some time The Last of Us II will get recognition as a great piece of art it truly deserves.

Animation, sound design, level design, exploration is all groundbreaking. There’s a fluid mix of linear and partly open world elements.     The point of the game is pretty clear and well represented , this game is about hate and revenge and what this can carry to yourself and others,
    that this acts should bring you nothing but bad things.
    But of course you prefer to judge or cry because something happen and you don't like it, it's fine if you don't, but
    let other people enjoy it if the want to.
    One last thought if you have a problem with what people like, first that sad, you should really talk to someone about it, and

    Loved this game, best one on ps4 period. Imo ofc. Don't get the hate, it was a bleak and sad world from the start, this is just a logical continuation of the first one. Thank you Naughty Dog for creating wonderful games

The decisions that naughty dog made with tlou2 were brave. It all makes sense if you finished the game. This game is a masterpiece and deserves to be GOTY

    It is not the story we want, but a story we need. Video game story telling has come a long way and this game is proof of that. It has repetitive gameplay and visuals are gorgeous. It has a message that everybody needs to know regarding these beloved characters. Try this game out and see how a video game makes you feel intense emotions like never before.

The option to craft silencers as well as going prone actually make a huge difference. The animations set the bar for the gaming industry. Gustavo Santaolella has composed the soundtrack so well, it really makes the game experience so damn good. It has some narrative choices that you may not like but as the story continues, these narrative choices make sense and ultimately work with the game’s theme of hate and the cycle of violence and how it challenges your notion of hero vs villain. In this game there are no heroes or villains, there are just people. The new characters are amazing. I’ll say that the supporting characters in Part II are much better than in the first game. But I’d say the best new character is Abby. The way her plot line was handled could have been executed a bit better. They could have made you play as her first and show her motives before a major event happened. Dina and Ellie’s relationship was amazing and I’d say Joel and Ellie were better but this was still an awesome relationship. The ending will divide everyone but I personally believe it shows redemption in an awesome way. Overall the game does have some flaws such as the way Abby’s plotline was handled but ultimately the game is a masterpiece and I would rate it as one of the best games of this generation. I still can’t decide between it or Red Dead Redemption 2. Thank you to Naughty Dog for blowing me away once again.     It all makes sense. We never see the other side of the story, Abby's dad was the head surgeon that Joel killed saving Ellie, which most of humanity would agree was a selfish decision. A normally good person, Abby becomes angry and revenge-driven, training for the next 4 years to become the person who would kill Joel for what he did, and she finally got her chance and brutally took it. In the time following that, she questions her own humanity and what she's become, she doesn't feel better after killing Joel on the inside, and on the outside, everyone sees her as this monster. She gets an opportunity to redeem herself by helping Yara and Lev, 2 defected Scars, ultimately risking her life by traversing a decades old ground zero hospital with the oldest, deadliest Infected inside and then escaping the Island of the Scars, betraying her own faction in the process. All that to finally come back to the Aquarium and find her best friend (ex-lover) and his baby momma dead, lying in their own blood. Little did she know, all her friends' recent deaths were the consequence of killing Joel in front of Ellie, who had just found a new purpose in her life by making the decision the night before to reconcile with Joel...

    Rewind - Joel saves Ellie, lies to her about what happened and they both start a new life in Jackson over the next 4 years. Joel finally confesses to Ellie what he did and for the last 2 years before the events of this game, Ellie doesn't want anything to do with Joel and avoids him. Finally the night before the events of this game, Ellie talks to Joel and despite him taking away her life's "purpose" to potentially become the cure, she still loves him and finds new purpose in choosing to forgive him and start rebuilding their relationship. In comes Abby the next day, who dishes out her long-awaited, brutal revenge against Joel for killing her father, dismantling the Fireflies and potentially robbing humanity of a cure. This event basically "robs" Ellie again of a purpose and she turns into what Abby became all those years ago, angry and revenge-driven. Ellie incites allies and spends the course of the game hunting down all who were present at Joel's death, killing many of Abby's friends along the way (and her dog), including a woman she didn't know was pregnant, which made Ellie sick to her stomach.

    Fast Forward - Abby, feeling redeemed from brutally killing Joel by helping Yara and Lev, finds her best friend (ex-lover) and his baby momma dead, lying in their own blood. She tracks Ellie back to the theater and becomes rage-fueled again, cause from her perspective, Joel was the bad guy and got what he deserved and she let Ellie live, not knowing Ellie would come after her and kill all her friends. During the confrontation, she kills Jessie, shoots Tommy in the face, beats Ellie to a pulp, and if not for Lev reminding her of her own humanity, she would have slit a pregnant Dina's throat, as payback for her dead pregnant friend. Ultimately, she let's Dina and Ellie live, and leaves with Lev to Santa Barbara to find the Fireflies.

    Fast Forward even more - Ellie, still experiencing PTSD and feeling she owes Joel by killing Abby, travels to Santa Barbara. Abby doesn't want to fight anymore, but Ellie insists, thinking it's the only way she can be at peace and avenge Joel. In the end, Ellie is about kill Abby, but decides not to, ending the cycle of violence after realizing that Abby's death won't "fix" anything for her and reminding herself of forgiveness i.e. Joel. Abby and Ellie go their separate ways.

    then Abby murders Joel in front of Ellie,
    then Ellie murders most of Abby's friends,

I only look out to do so for my special games 'gems' which i know very well how to distinguish. Well it was worth it once more.     The gameplay was really tense and exciting and the last four hours of the game had me up until stupid o'clock.

    Brilliant. This, God of War and Uncharted 4 were nigh on perfect.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’ve never felt so emotionally challenged or invested in a game than when I played the Last of Us Part II. I found myself crying at multiple points in the game, often being moved during a scene as simple as Joel playing the guitar to a young Ellie. I was often forced to do heinous things as Ellie, and I somehow managed to be Team Abby by the end of the game. I even had to put it down for a few days when the game switched to playing as Abby because I didn’t know how you could reasonably expect me to play as the killer of a man as beloved as Joel. But the further I got along in the game, the more and more I came to sympathize with Abby. Ultimately, all characters in the game were deeply flawed, but you still loved all of them in their own way. In the end, I recognized the senselessness of the cycle of violence and the importance of making a conscious decision to end it. And I have to say I have never felt so emotional in a finale. I’ll never forget the deep grief I felt as I was attacking Abby and the ultimate catharsis of letting her escape with Lev. Please do yourself a favor and play this game.… Expand

    Que jogo incrível! Tudo é perfeitamente pensando, roteirizado e dirigido. O melhor jogo da geração e o melhor exclusivo de PlayStation 4. Até hoje não teve uma história tão boa quanto essa. O gráfico do jogo é impecável e a jogabilidade é muito boa, conseguiu evoluir muito a do primeiro jogo. Esse jogo precisa ser jogado por todos que possuem um PlayStation 4.

    La manera en la que está narrada la historia se me hace muy buena, sin embargo, se hizo tedioso jugar con Abby, hasta cierto punto, de manera que se sintió que te obligaban a amar al personaje y el final me pareció muy inconcluso pero fuera de eso todo lo demás me parece increíble

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
