    The story is about two characters seeking for revenge and facing the consequences of their actions, but it's packaged with incredible side characters and stories.     This game is absolutely beautiful. The scenes are fully fleshed out with no space wasted and the story is fantastic. Though this suffers from the same issues as the first game, mostly the combat and enemy variety is lackluster and sometimes frustrating. If you liked the first then you'll enjoy this too. I would say a more accurate score would be an 8 but I'll give it a 10 because of allThis game is absolutely beautiful.     О сюжете: он великолепно построен. Никакое произведение не идеально, к каждой детали можно придраться, но эта игра получила шквал критики из-за гомофобии, трансфобии и прочих порочащих наше общество вещей.
    В сюжете прекрасно проводят параллели: беременные персонажи для зеркальных ситуаций и описания Эбби и Элли с точки зрения поведения в похожих ситуациях; местами кольцевой сюжет, показывающий флешбеки из начала в конце повествования; акценты во флешбеках (например, невозможность игры на гитаре сменяется сценой, где на гитаре играет Джоэл); да даже имена героинь созвучны для большего желания сопоставлять.
    Все персонажи на своих местах, никого лишнего, всё позволяет раскрыть главных представителей сторон конфликта.
    Людям нужно больше думать над сюжетом, над эмоциями и над всем происходящем в картине, а не разбрасываться помоями.
    Мне чертовски обидно за всех, кто принимал участие в создании этого шедевра, потому что многим из них приходится получать гневные письма и даже угрозы смерти и жизни (как актрисе, которая сыграла Эбби). Я досмотрела титры до конца и благодарна каждому человеку, что приложил руку к этой игре.

    К сожалению, люди ждали не этого. И не все способны тратить время на разбор сюжета.
    Возможно, эффект ложного ожидания заключается в маркетинговой компании. Сцена лесбийского поцелуя, например. SONY знали, что многие издания на это отреагируют и сразу напишут о "гниющем обществе". Недавно я видела трейлер, в котором Элли бежит по тоннелям в метро с красным освещением. I disregarded the leaks and played with an open mind and with a knowledge of unkown as to what is to be offered (this will give more of a shock factor when playing).The game offers some very crazy plot twists and overall changes to the world, interactions and characters we once knew and loved. As I played and finished the game I can understand the point of view of many angry fans, however I have found that Naughty dog developers came into this with a message and certain goal that would forever change a deep and loveable story into a dark and twisted one while also changing the way we see games, characters and interact with moral choices. Everything within this game had consequences for every action, a factor that most video games never take into account. the whole concept is new and unheard of and whenever something industry changing comes along so will haters which is why the controversy is common. Now focusing more on the story and gameplay and graphic. I have found that it is worth the 7 years wait and everything last of us that I loved during my childhood, the graphics are next gen and can only wait to see the new Ps5 tech looks, the gameplay has had complaint to having little changes, but my answer is why change something that isn’t broke? It runs more action packed, more open world where the fights can come down to your decisions and your skills and really fulfills the title of survival where you will feel like an underdog yet it will give the instinct of what it takes to survive which has been done absolutely beautifully. Now lastly to finish off the story, I don’t want to giveaway spoiler but I believed at first I was destroyed and was considering joining in on the boycotts. But after playing further in, giving backstories, showing the bold new world you begin to feel the developers plans and storyline checking out, the flashbacks Ellie has gives us characters we knew and saw them change, saw our characters grow. What I’m trying to say is that we try and replicate crazy adventures into video games so we can get an experience similar to real life (though obviously Impossible) The last of us is an unbelievable setting and makes it feel real, with real choices, real consequences and real Actions. Characters that can be hated but made them human with human factors such as pain and most of all emotional pain. All the cliche of the action hero and all the cliches of surviving the impossible is rid off, And gives us what I call the closest thing to a real life zombie apocalypse with a factor that connects us emotionally whether you love it or not.… Expand

    To whoever reads these user ratings. Ignore the noise. Most haven’t even completed the game or they are merely pissed about the characters and the plot not going their way.

    This story is absolutely one for the books and you need to play this game. It is an emotional rollercoaster that will take some huge twists and turns. It is a great sequel and a great Naughty Dog game.

An open ending where Ellie goes alone being one more survivor in the world, while abby apparently arrived with the fireflies, we can see that when we finish the game in the menu that you can see abby's boat.     A lot of people don't like this game, except me. the last of us 2 may not be as expected in terms of game ending, but I think that ending might be an open ending for the publisher to continue developing part 3 of this series. The gameplay is excellent

Yes, it was definitely a very high quality game, but it didn't seem as incredible to me as everyone described it. Then, something happened at some point, which will completely reverse the perception, not only of theI will speak in order of Plot (NO SPOILER), Technical side, Gameplay and Defects of the game. At first I couldn't understand why this game was so critically acclaimed. Yes, it was definitely a very high quality game, but it didn't seem as incredible to me as everyone described it. Then, something happened at some point, which will completely reverse the perception, not only of the previous half of The Last Of Us Part 2, but of the whole saga of The Last Of Us. That event will lead to an ending that emotionally destroys the player, a very open ending, more than the first chapter. Personally, I recommend playing both The Last Of Us and Left Behind, both equally important for understanding the ending of the second chapter. If you are looking for a game to finish quickly and well, well, this is not the game for you: it lasts almost 30 hours, even if on the internet there are speed runs without glitches for only 5 and a half hours. From a technical point of view, well, what about ... it takes the wealth of Horizon Zero Dawn screen polygons and multiplies them out of all proportion and combines them with incredibly detailed graphics and animations never seen before. The dubbing (Italian), as in the first chapter is perfect, in some sections, as in the first chapter, even better than the original. The gameplay is the logical and coherent evolution of the first chapter, personally I really liked it. There is one thing, however, that I did not like. The bailouts and the checkpoints system, in my opinion, don't work well. In the initial part, the rescue system risks eliminating even 15 or 20 minutes of exploration, data that although the player saves later, the game will save at the previous checkpoint, canceling entire exploration sessions. On the contrary, towards the end of the game, the checkpoints are disproportionately large. Practically, every occlusion of an enemy is equivalent to a checkpoint. This will allow you to kill one enemy, target another, and if you miss the shot, you can restart from the last checkpoint without having to kill everyone you killed before making a mistake. This game was amazing to me honestly, if you can go in with an open mind and try to understand everything, even if it's just a little, this game will emotionally grab you and walk you through it's story and even more amazing world story telling, characters feel like real people with their own proper, real issues that they have to live with, try your best to ignore all the hate it gets online, cause as far as I've seen, 80% of people I see talking crap about it haven't even played it and are just going off of a 20 minute rant video by someone with a bad mindset about the game, trust me, the story grabs you and will lovingly and painfully show you the true horrors of the Last Of Us world, weather it be the infected themselves, or the even less predictable humans, this game even made me cry at the end and yearn for Joel at the end, where he's most needed for Ellie than ever, as far as I can tell, story wise, it's amazing, gameplay and graphically, it's also amazing, the only ever issue I had, was not having enough differentiation between all the guns, as well as it feels like not enough of them, but that's personal opinion.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's hard to recall a game that made me as emotionally invested as the last of us 2. It's all down to a narrative that can only find it's true footing in video games, as it's predecessor the plot drives the story forward but it twists it's ending via character development.

    There are a few things I can safely say before spoiling any of the story so I will just point out a few characteristics of the game:

    Naughty Dog has improved once again on it's combat mechanics, the fight and flight approach has been enhanced and it's at the core of the last of us 2 gameplay. It gives you many tools to accomplish your goals and in doing so offers players many ways to approach combat. If you enjoyed the combat in games like Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us, the combat here will feel even fresher and better.

    I don't care so much about graphics, but this game is impressive in it's presentation. It pushes PS4 to it's limit and delivers environments filled with details bringing a sense of immersion to the player. The cutscenes are impressive and they help hammer the narrative home.

    SPOILERS FROM HERE ONWARDS

    It's impossible to speak about the story without going into spoiler territory so here it goes: From the beginning of the journey you find yourself in a revenge story, one of our favourite characters in gaming history, Joel, is killed by Abby a freshly introduced character that we briefly get to play. The game then sets you and Abby down an intersecting path, where you are pitted against each other for revenge. When you finally find her the game takes a huge break to set you in the shoes of Abby, we play as her for a long time and we start to understand her a little by little.

    Thanks to the unique ways that games can tell stories, we slowly see how Abby herself starts to grow on us, we see that much like Joel she is jaded and going through the motions after experiencing grief. Through saving a couple of scars we see her humanity and start to strongly empathize with her as a character.

    I initially doubted this was going to work for me, at first I felt so much rage playing through Ellie's story, but when I was in Abby's shoes she started to slowly grow on me, from saving Lev and Yara, seeing her relationship with her dad, going to an infected zone to secure medical supplies, beating a huge monstrosity; I finally understood better the side of her story.

    At the end I didn't want Ellie or Abby to die and I wanted each one to have a good life. I felt I went through a lot emotionally and it's all thanks to an ambitious narrative that pays off.

    To some of the criticism that I've seen:

    LGBTQ+ agenda: I don't think there is a political stand on this, the game is just portraying sexuality how it is. To anyone complaining that LGBT characters are only present in the sequel, I have to remind them of Bill who is clearly gay in part 1 and the DLC also shows Ellie's story and she's always been into girls.

    Narrative: I understand those who feel like Joel death was too much, I think that is the reason that the game set you emotionally on the same revenge path as Ellie and it worked incredibly well for me. Joel death is caused by his past actions, not only killing the doc and the fireflies but also the fact that he gets softer through the story of the Last of Us, through caring for Ellie, till the point that trusting other people causes him to lose his life.

    The ending worked incredibly well for me, the fact that the plot doesn't finish with Ellie killing Abby is a a great subversion of expectation, we as players don't want to see Abbie die, and it's Joel's memories that stop her. In the end because of the fight with Abby she loses her ability to play guitar, but it's maybe what she needed in order to learn to live with the past. In a weird way it's thanks to Ellie that Abby and Lev end up surviving and we are weirdly thankful for it.    … Expand

    I just finished the last of us part 2 and wow I really almost cried with the end it is so full of feelings maybe people did not like the end and it is not the one we want but I sincerely loved it since it gives a message that only one can understand in his own way one of the best games of the year and without a doubt my favorite of all the ones ND made

And as much as people dislike the story, I loved it. I will miss Joel, but I knew it was coming. Graphics are simply astonishing as well as the animations. It’s tense, nerve racking and heart breaking, I love it. I take my hat off to Neil Druckmann, Ashley Johnson, Troy baker, and the whole naughty dog team for this unexpected heartbreaking story, simply incredible. I really do appreciate all the sweat, blood, and tears they put into this game. It is one of the best games I’ve ever played, and people will talk about it forever.… Expand

    This game is a masterpiece. Beautiful music, audio design, performances, writing, and atmosphere. This is easily one of the best games ever made. Lives up to and surpasses the original.

    As you can see this game is the latest victim of review bombing. People mad that women and gay people exist, and mad that they didn't get a predictable formulaic sequel.

    Very fun gameplay and the graphics are incredible. I loved exploring around Seattle & reading all those notes you found and finding all easter eggs etc etc.

    The game was a lot scarier than the first one too which i really liked. The runners, clickers & stalkers were much more aggressive and harder to defeat.

    I really liked the story. Though i wasn’t enjoying playing as Abby that much. But other than that this game is a masterpiece and definetely a must play for all gamers.    … Expand

    A story full of relatable characters with a good ending that is not supposed to please the majority of the people, but to do what is supposed to do: tell a story. And in my honest opinion a great story. Positively adding the graphics and the stable gameplay, this just is the last real gem we'll see on the PS4.

    TLOU Part II is a great game and a wonderful sequel to the first game...
    The graphics are insane!
    Both enemies and allies AI are awesome (in a +moderate difficulty) The story is perfect and the way that naughty dog staged it is just god tier!!!
    You'll love it so much, this game is a must-play, just play it with an open minde instead of blindly hating it....

    Is a very long game (take me 40 hrs to finish it the first time), lot of different scenarios, sickness passion for the details, the sound effects . . . please play it with headphones: AMAZING. the sound track is precise and smooth, you almost didn't feel the changes.

    This game is DEFINITELY not for everyone, but is also definitely a MASTER PIECE.

The game is dark and horrifying, echoing at times the scariest part of gaming, yet mixes this with a rich, vibrant world, that pushes video games forward. Everything from Part 1 has been pushed further- combat, environment, graphics. The narrative explodes in aNaughty Dog expands on the predecessor and have created an incredible experience in The Last of Us Part 2 that truly moved me. The game is dark and horrifying, echoing at times the scariest part of gaming, yet mixes this with a rich, vibrant world, that pushes video games forward. Everything from Part 1 has been pushed further- combat, environment, graphics. The narrative explodes in a well placed dense way as Ellie traverses America seeking revenge after a traumatic event. Exploring the other side of the story so to speak (avoiding spoilers) kept me guessing at every step of the way and truly had me evoking empathy in places and people I did not expect. This cultivates in a gloriously poignant finish that left me smothered in emotion, leaving me with a similar feeling after the credits rolled on part 1. The amount of Uncharted-esque set pieces in the game are well placed and thrilling. The themes of vengeance, grief, love and loss run rampant in this game but are beautifully threaded together in ways that kept me guessing, hoping, gripping onto characters. This is not for the faint of heart and I dare say is not for everybody as it plays with players expectations. This at times may frustrate what you've come to know from Part 1 of the game, but is explained in ways that only enrich the first game more, allowing me to find peace. Upon finishing the game the credits scrolled allowing me the time to breathe, take in what I'd just seen over the course of my 27 hour journey and ultimately reflect on what was an experience I won't forget.

El juego es bueno independientemente de su antecesor, si bien existen huecos en la historia sige estando a otro nivel y con un extremo cuidado al detalle y geniales animaciones, tiene sentimientos muy diferentes al primero y aún así consigue que los sintamos, la diferencia en la muerte de Joel y de los otros cientos de npc que matamos es que conocíamos a Joel , el no era un héroe si no un superviviente (personalmente mi personaje favorito de los videojuegos ) y así como Ellie, Abby también buscaba venganza, cerraron de una forma en la cuál dejan abierta la posibilidad para más entregas… Expand

    I love the plot, it's a perfect close of the original game. Abby is my favorite character and her friends, but also Jesse, Tommy :(. Ellie is not my favorite now. I'm thinking about the game all the days and talk about it a lot whit my friends. Great job ND
