As everyone should know, this game has a horrible history, where the writers treat in the most disgusting way their own principal characters. And the end is just simply bad dude.

One of the best titles ruined by a self-absorbed producer who is not as talented as he think he is. Fair enough most aspects of the game are great, but the problem is it's called the last of us part 2 and the fact that the plot is so bad and full of retarded holes is simply unacceptable. The more you love the first game, the more you will hate this one

A brutal, brutal, unpleasant game, that I gave up on after 8 hours or so.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Unlike all the whiny idiots here, I will give this game a fair review. Get over yourself, Joel fanboys. Killing has consequences, and he paid for his mistakes in a brutal, unforgiving way. Such is the world of The Last of Us I and II. The game is very good. I didn’t agree with all aspects of the story, but I can appreciate it all the same. On a technical level the game is 10 out of 10. Stunning. The only knocks that bring it to an 8 for me are the Seraphine storyline which I found drug on WAY too long. In general, the 3rd act is just way too long. And the violence. Oh, yes, the violence. I don’t actually mind it too much because it does fit the narrative for the most part. But I did find some spots where the game was just ghoulishly violent for the sake of it, not that it fit the story well at that point. And for that I will knock a point off. But all in all, Naughty Dog’s “very good” game is still better than almost any other studio’s best efforts. They are just that good and TLOU2 is no exception. It’s a very good game that fails to quite live up to the sublime first installment, but that doesn’t make the game a 4 like so many other idiots here are rating. Grow up, people. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last of us Part 2 is one of the biggest gaming disappointments in a long time. First off nobody is mad Ellie is gay people didn't care in the Left Behind DLC. But people do care when you insert an agenda at the expense of the characters and the story. The last of us Part 2 is mainly about story. The majority of players bought the last of us part 2 in order to see what happened after the first last of us and to see what happened to Joel and Ellie. But what ends up happening is that we get to play as a character we don't like for the majority of the game. Joel is killed of in such a disrespectful way where it destroys the story afterwards. We all knew Joel would die at some point because it only makes logical sense but to have him die in such a way is disrespectful to the character. Besides that we have a boring revenge plot where it ultimately leads to nothing and we are left unsatisfied and confused at the ending. Besides that the graphics are stunning on the Ps4 but that's about it. Every thing else feels the same it works but isn't satisfactory. Overall this was a huge disappointment and if you are only in it for the gameplay and graphics you will love the game but if you are in it for a good story then you will be very disappointed. Expand

Atreus will look for the killer rest of time and in the end he’ll let killer go, although the killer will bite off two of his fingers and he will not be able, for example, to do some of his magic, or whatever. Or you can imagine the same with Geralt and Ciri (if there will be the next Witcher game.) If this is ok for you, then you might like this game.

When he went throug hell to get ellie to the fireflies and the where gonna kill her without even giving her the choice ofcourse joel as a father figure would not let that happend. Go into this game with a open mind, it is a beautiful, amazing, dark game that tells a great story, yes the leaks might ruin it for some people and I understand, but if you take the time and actually play the game then you will realize that Joel’s death is just a small part of the game, best graphics I have ever seen in a game, amazing gameplay, and the open world Seattle is breathtaking, so far TLOU2 is my game of the year and I think it will remain that way, Abby is a awesome character introduced, I loved playing as her and I loved her weapon class, her upgrades and honestly her character in general, her and lev make such a awesome duo towards the end of the game, if you truly liked the first game you will like the second, story is beautiful told in different parts but amazing, you will definitely feel the emotions, there are times wear it gets dark that you don’t even know if you want to kill that said person anymore, it just gets worse and worse, but that’s the beautiful thing about the ending, Ellie finds out why she doesn’t kill Abby and why she doesn’t takes a lot of thinking, I know why but I feel like it’s better when you find out yourself, I also loved the side characters very intriguing and cool seeing all the different characters, a lot of abbys friends are cool and Jessie and Dina are fantastic for Ellie! I highly recommended this game to any fellow gamer out there! I give it a 10/10 Also the collectibles in this game are so addicting there so fun and make the game so much more interesting, same with the artifacts and notes you can find along the way it really helps tell how people responded to the out break and during it! This game is beautifully done! Expand

Naughty Dog finds a way to build an amazing diverse and inclusive cast of characters with mesmerizing landscapes that never feel copy/paste of other areas, while providing seamless transitions and combat, making you feel like you're living the experience. This story is gut wrenching all the way through and at times doesn't feel "fun." But what it does feel like is human experience, full of trauma, complicated emotions and decisions that leave you on edge, because this world is so unforgiving. It doesn't care about who you love, because your closest ally is someone's enemy and karma makes the final choice. Never expected a game would tackle issues like war, peace, forgiveness, homosexuality, love, hate, racism, violence, and so many more in such an organic way. Have watched plenty of movies, tv series and read alot of books in my life, but this is how you implement social problems in a piece of entertainment and make it work.

When the delays happened I kept telling myself don’t worry they’re just making sure everything is perfect I trust them to have it. I was so wrong. There was lots of weird bugs in my play through like fighting against invisible clickers or falling through the map. I can’t believe that would occur for something delayed so much. Gameplay, graphics, and music were all great as you’d expect from a Last of Us game. After seeing the death of Joel and just seeing the ending I couldn’t believe that after all Abby put Ellie through and all Ellie did to people, was all a waste. It made me think what if Ellie was killed by Abby? Would Joel just let Abby go? I doubt it . Honestly Ellie’s character was so irritating in this game. I like to think that the Ellie from the first game isn’t the same as this one . This is such bad writing ! REVENGE BAD ! Sounds like the answer to the question : what the theme of the book you read? From a freshman who didn’t actually read the book but just wanted to say some basic barebones theme and hope it’s right. I am glad I gameshared this one . Pure trash. Expand

Simultaneously the most well-made, big budget game and the worst video game sequel ever.

    Pros:

    - This is one of the most visually impressive games I've ever played. Near photo realistic at times and character animations (except picking up loot!) are exceptional

    - The gameplay has improved from the first, with larger word design, greater arsenal of weapons, character moves and smarter enemy AI, enabling to play how you want and move dynamically between action and stealth

    - Excellent sound design. Playing this game with headphones made enemy encounters tense and the sounds from the infected horrific

    - The performances in this game are top notch, taking motion capture to a whole new level. even the slightest movements, glances and unique character mannerisms are picked up in these great performances

    Cons:

    - In an attempt to expand the world of the Last of Us and make a bigger story that "subverts" expectations, the story is significantly dumber than the first game. Characters behave uncharacteristically, and some scenes have characters suddenly having a change of heart, as if they are bipolar. And this is not just with the main characters but even with the supporting cast. Also the overall theme of the "circle of violence and revenge" is highly unsubtle and bordering on the level of pretentiousness. This emotional weight of this theme is nullified by the game's brutal gameplay, which is more visceral and also includes dogs as enemies. While Part 1 also had the player commit violent acts against many foes, it was a story a familiar bond between characters, protecting one another and hoping to reach the Fireflies and potentially creating a vaccine that could save humanity. The game was about surviving a brutal world, where nobody is truly free of sin, but the net positive of potentially saving humanity outweighed the negatives of killing so many. But this game makes you hoardes of people for and tries to make you feel bad when certain characters are killed in cutscenes. There was no emotional weight to these moments, with one particular death making me laugh at loud at how the game tried to emotionally blackmail you for killing, when hours prior you were already conditioned to the same act to others.

The game's pacing is all over the place, often killing any momentum that had been built. There are even flashbacks within flashbacks, which could have easily been avoided had certain scenes and gameplay sections were reordered in a more linear fashion. The game failed to create any emotional attachment to the second protagonist, due to poor placing of their gameplay sections and the stupid decision to remove any character/weapon upgrades. I know that this is a new character but you could have at least given the player resources from the get-go so the player could immediately purchase some upgrades or have some skills pre-unlocked. This decision made it feel like playing a game for 10 hours only to have your save corrupt and having to start the game again, highly demoralising.

The game is also far too long, especially the 2nd characters sections. There are even some story beats that do not go anywhere and feel like needless padding. Finally, while I didn't like the way the intro played out, although I understand the reason but felt the execution was poor, the ending is absolutely abysmal, and goes against the main theme the story kept hitting you over the head with. They could've followed through with their theme to its logical conclusion or at least given the player the choice in the final confrontation, which would have had a far stronger emotional weight. But in the end the game ends on a whimper than leaves you feeling empty, and questioning why you even played it to begin with.

I don't normally hold game stories as high as books or movies, due to the gameplay from most AAA breaking any sense of emersion the story was supposed to tell. But as someone who thought the Last of Us 1 was a major step in the right direction of video game story telling, setting a new bar in the medium, I'm obviously going to extra critical to the story of the sequel. Overall I was disappointed in that regard. I respect the decision to go back to these characters, this world and tell a darker story, I even respect that they made such a bold choice in the beginning. But the execution was so poor, with terrible pacing and an underlying theme that contantly and unsubtlely beats you over the head in a pretentious manner, and an ending that is just the wettest fart in the wind.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all, I don't get how many reviewers on this site claims that the game was predictable and boring. Really ? How was it predictable. I feel like everything in this game was one big bag of unpredictable events. Secondly, I also don't understand how so many people are mad just because they didn't get the story they hoped for.

Yes, there are parts of this story you wont like. Yes there are parts of this story that you will like. Yes there are parts that could have been done differently. But this is ultimately the story being told. When a story follows a traditional path, it becomes predictable, and even praised by all because it gave them the outcome they hoped for. I respect Naughty Dog for taking a different path.

Also, I think they did an excellent job to show you both parts of the story, both from the protagonist and the antagonist's perspective. I think that gives the game and storyline much more depth.

I get it, many people are disappointed in Joel dying so early in the game. And as sad as that was, it opened up the game to a much broader story with way more motivation to move towards the end goal.

I think the ending could have been done better, I think the ending was a bit dull, but overall the game was never once boring or predictable. There was a lot to discover, very unique situations you find yourself in, believable character's with interesting backstories and I think they did a great job putting it all together.

I feel like everyone complaining was just speedrunning through the game and did not appreciate the dialogue or scenes presented to the player.

The game gives players a unique experience and interesting story to play through. The characters have interesting back stories and is revealed as you play the game. The game also looks great and feels immersive. This is a single player experience which is best enjoyed with a pair of headphones.

Save yourself the money and skip this one. It's not worth it - especially with *that* garbage ending... worse than GoT season 8, TLJ or RoS - makes them look good, let's put it that way...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I finished the game four days ago and since then I've been so sad.

It is heartbreaking to see your most loved videogame destroyed like this.

    - I did not hate the game because of LGBT agenda ->actually I am left-wing and I secretly liked that so many homophobic gamers had to face with these topics (and hopefully they get more comprehensive). So I would keep it exactly as it was.
    - I did not hate the game because Joel died. Come on, Joel dying was the only motivation strong enough to make Ellie pursue revenge, so from first trailer when we found out that the sequel was about revenge, we all knew already that Joel would have died to make this credible -> so no big deal

I hated the game because the story is pointless, weak, not credible.
Such a complex universe, in which you can talk about love vs. ethics, cure to the humanity, self improvement, so many things, you focus your game on revenge? Just a pure revenge without any revelation in the path? It was so funny that in Every scene I was making so many theories, expecting a creative plot from naughty dog like:
-Tommy never left Jackson and Maria was kind of a villain, that wrote that fake letter to instigate Ellie to go for revenge and leave Tommy with her
    - The godness of Seraphite was actually people adoring an utopic old version of "Ellie, the immune woman" and she would find out it later after many died on her name
    - Jessie "the super popular guy" was actually working with Abby and helping her since the beginning - Ellie left JJ and Dina for what we think that was a revenge, but actually she wanted to offer herself to Abby so she could be taken to a hospital and finally die for the sake of a vaccine

Hahahah Of course, all of this seem crazy now. But it was just me expecting/hoping for ANY kind of plot twist or revelation( like the one we have at the end of Uncharted 4) but no. The plot was so linear, simple, idiot, that it never happened.

It was just about killing our preferred character (I'm ok with the death, but not ok with non- meaningful way it happened), going for revenge, can't get it and come back home with family. Then a coward adult goes to ask cruelly a young woman to abandon her family and goes all by herself on revenge, oh just because "you promised". Then she goes (this decision of abandoning family by themselves in an apocalyptical world which is not credible), finds Abby but at the end forgives her because she learns that "revenge is not good". That is ridiculous.
So many points that this story could have developed... Part 1 was so deep, so complex, so human and they just destroyed everything. Ok, gameplay nice, graphics really good (actually I found Uncharted 4 way more pretty in facial details and scenario), ok with all of this. But this is a story driven game and story must be the central part of it, you can't deny that. And the plot is just horrible.

I wish they never had done this videogame. I am so so sad. A bad type of sad. Because when I finished Arthur's part in Rdr2, I was also extremely sad for Arthur but sad in a good way, in a magic way. In the last of us 2, I am sad in a bad way, disappointed, upset because I can't believe how they ruined the story, characters, universe, the franchise.

    Oh my God. Really.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A real disappointment, if anything. Graphical fidelity and environments are beautifully crafted, although the game switches from an open area style to a more linear style quite early on, which I thought was odd, because the open environments were some of the best in the game- regardless the graphics and environments are what I would almost call groundbreaking- if death stranding didn't exist. In terms of gameplay, it's almost unchanged from TLOU1. Gunplay and fighting all work more-or-less the same, crafting stays from the first game and are identical, very little innovation in that sector but honestly, it holds up fine. The story, however, is where this game takes a massive nosedive. Most of my points have been noted already, but here's what I found absolutely awful about the story. Uno: the way Joel's death was handled. Joel had to die, let's be honest. The story wouldn't have been able to take a step forward without his death (although admittedly the story didn't mean to take a step forward- the story was concluded in TLOU1 and should have stayed that way). But the way they handled it was absolutely laughable. If they had structured the game differently and included some of the Abby sections and flashbacks BEFORE Joel's death, it might've worked narratively. But this game fails to do that, and instead of an emotionally charged scene where we develop hatred towards Abby, we get an emotionally charged scene where we develop hatred towards Neil and his **** self-insert. Couple this awfully-done plot point with characters being forgotten about by both the player and the actual in-game characters (i forgot Manny's **** NAME after he was killed, and only knew him as "Neil's **** self-insert for the rest of the game, and apparently so did Abby because he's never **** mentioned again). Along with the single worst ending in the history of any videogame ever, and it all amounts to a story that goes nowhere, stands for nothing and utterly ruins everything that was great about the first game. Well done Naughty Dog, you done **** up. In the words of Joel: "There was a sequel. Wasn't as good." Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't know why people hate this game.
I've spent my own money and I won't regret it. The gameplay is very interesting. Added as new types of enemies, like dogs or stalkers, and new mechanics, such as masking lying in the bushes and crawling under cars. The game is interesting to play, as you can find a large number of solutions to a particular situation. At high levels of complexity, there is a huge lack of resources, and because of this, you have to be smart to pass the location. The graph impresses with its detail and beauty. Yes, the game has a subtext that I would not like to see, but it does not spoil the dignity of this game. At the beginning of the game, Joel's death shows all the cruelty of the world described in the game. Yes, it would be possible to bring out such an important character in a different, more heroic way, but then both the player and Ellie did not feel that hatred for the character's killers. The ending is also quite logical. Ellie didn't kill Abby, because she saw her and Levi as Joel and herself. She didn't forgive the killer of the person she loved, but she couldn't act like a monster either. Trying to take revenge and succumb to anger, she lost something that was so dear to her. I think Ellie's story is interesting and logical, but not Abby's. This character weak cursing helps two Seraphicum, with the tribe which she fought for a long time and have not experienced sageline to them.
As a player who really liked the relationship between Joel and Ellie in the first part of the game, I also lacked the depth of the relationship between the characters. It is difficult to feel both the connection between Dina and Ellie, and the relationship between Abby and her friends, but still there is a relationship sometimes you start to worry about the characters, but this would like to see more often.
Bottom line: I liked the game, and I don't understand the hatred surrounding it.

The first TLOU was possibly my favourite game of all time- tied with a few other titles - And I eagerly awaited the second game, to the point where I pre-ordered it from Amazon a full 2 and a half years before it arrived at my house. Not only did I love the story, but loved the multiplayer as well. Now to this game. I can understand people’s frustration with how some characters are dealt with at the beginning of the game. I can also understand why some people would feel that ND are just churning out a narrative for the lesbian and trans community. Some of the stuff is a little on the nose in terms of it being obvious that they are doing it almost for the sake of it. HOWEVER, the issues they are putting in the game aren’t imaginary, such as homophobia and transphobia. And unfortunately people who experience this need to have their voices heard, and this includes in being referenced in popular culture. People would not experience or even see issues some of these groups of people deal with without being shown it in games, or movies, or television. So yeah, unfortunately it feels a little bit like naughty dog pushed a narrative, but people need to grow up as there are more important things than you being annoyed at a character being a lesbian.

I enjoyed the twists in this game, and enjoyed the game play. Graphics are beautiful, and the way the world is developed and laid out is frankly spectacular. The story may feel a little forced, and people keep screaming “plot holes” but I don’t think there are to the point that it’s worth writing online articles about.

Overall, I think this game was worth it. Especially if you treat it a bit as a stand-alone game. If you spend your time exploring and trying to find all the collectibles, it is an amazing game. Don’t listen to the people who definitely haven’t completed it, and have already written negative reviews.

I would classify this game as a masterpiece because of the incredibly challenging narrative that makes you question morality. But not just the characters, but also your own and that of your heroes. And not just in the obvious ways of "Is violence bad?" But to the extent as which people will go, the motivations, the responses to others' actions - It is a wildly powerful story about empathy and revenge and the cycle of violence.

On top of all of this, the graphics are jaw-dropping. They're as good as you remember Part 1 being, until you play Part 1 again and realize just how far Naughty Dog has taken it with this second game. The gameplay has also stepped it up in ways that feel more modern and fun, with many different ways to handle various situations that are thrown at you. Guns blazing, stealth, and even running for your life are all viable options here in most scenarios. The music is perfectly scored, and I'd feel I was doing you and the team a disservice if I didn't tell you to listen to the song in the end credits. Gives me chills.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us 2 could have been a great game. But Naughty Dog chose to kill one of the most beloved game characters ever and then intentionally lie and mislead fans prior to release concerning said character. Of course I’m talking about Joel. My problem is not necessarily the fact they chose to kill Joel, but the manner in which it was done. First, as previously stated, they intentionally misled and lied to fans prior to release. Then they killed him way early in the game in a brutal and extremely violent manner. Then they had the gall to have a character spit on Joel after his death. Totally unnecessary and as if they were spitting on fans. Then as a player you are forced to play as Abby who killed Joel! Obviously as a player I now hate Abby and have no empathy at all toward her or her reasons for killing him. I seriously did not want to continue playing at that point and intentionally allowed Abby to be killed over and over. As incredible and great as The Last of Us was, this game was equally that bad. No character development, questionable storyline and too much agenda injected. I was a dedicated Naughty Dog fan prior to this but now I will never trust anything they say or release and I am not sure I will purchase any more of their games. I don’t enjoy being lied to and misled. I suspect I am not the only fan Naughty Dog has alienated. Too bad since this was so avoidable. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I thought I was prepared for everything, but to say that this was an unwelcome surprise is an understatement. I knew that the last of us series is dark and its expected that it would get darker with the most obvious expectation that one of the main characters would die or be incapacitated in some way (Joel was the laziest choice in my opinion) and the way they died would probably be gruesome and dark. But to just randomly introduce a character that noone knows just to up and kill joel for little more than shock value and then forcing the player to play as her to try to "understand" her is one of the worst writings i have ever seen. I had problems with other scenes like the sex scene which was just unnecessary in my opinion, the obvious attempt to appeal to SJWs by just making ellie gay and abby as transgender with no contribution to the plot, everyone being a female and Naughtdog refusing to kill females otherwise they might receive hate, and the overall plot that starts off weak and ends with literally nothing accomplished and noone dead. I loved the Last of Us for the setting, the characters, the beautiful but dark vibe, some decent gameplay, but most importantly the plot. It's sad to say that all of these aspects have felt downgraded with the only redeeming quality is a slightly better gameplay and visuals.

TLDR: If you want to play a decent zombie apocalypse game then this game delivers if you can ignore the entirety of the plot, but if you are here for story, good characters, good writing, and are a fan of the last of us series and looking for the same if not better quality game than the first one then this game will exceed your worst expectations. I heard alot of bad things about NaughtyDog, but I was willing to put all that aside as long as they stick to focusing on making good games, but this game has left me dissapointed, getting a refund, and never supporting this terrible company and I encourage you all to do the same

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is one of the saddest let downs of the century. If I could go back in time, I'd find a way to stop the production of this game. Seriously, the first one had an ending that would've been better alone than making this crap.

The Last of Us is a story driven game at its core. It sucks you in and doesn't let go until the ending and that's why we all screamed for a sequel. You had characters with strong backgrounds that fans loved and were unforgettable.

Well lets start the game off by killing the first character after what? 10-15 mins of gameplay? So much for Ellie and Joel adventures or interaction, or a conclusion to their underlying distrust from Ellie. You grabbed me with the bliss of being BACK into the world with these characters for the first hour. Seriously, who let the intern write the script?! I had a feeling Joel's time was coming after the first game when the sequel was announced. I'm talking about the cautious, morally questionable, bearded joy that fans kept alive in a garage all winter after falling onto a spike.

That character dies because he wasn't cautious enough? WHAT? The guy actually took down a firefly base and saved a girl, carried her out of there against armed men and women, and walked away from it. Being cautious and patient was the reason he made it so far! The death is GRUESOME! I have yet to see a good reaction to this.

It just gets worse. After experiencing the ass beating known as Joel's death, the player must then be forced to play as his killer (a newish character) for 10 hours.... Trust me. I am NOT relating to that character whether their biceps could curl an elephant or they are portraying a minor community in society after THAT. My favorite character was just beat to death in front of me I do NOT like that person. Keep making those biceps bigger you almost had it? The ending.. you try to drive a moral philosophy down the player's throat of revenge vs love, forgiveness and letting go. This is a zombie apocalypse and humans are nasty creatures anyway! Anyone strong enough to make it this far would obviously get revenge first. Switch the events around and make it so that ALL character's actions have consequences (yes including Abby . SURPRISE) and show the flashbacks as happy memories for Ellie only for her to realize that the guitar and those memories are what is important to her, a SURVIVOR now. Oh and please.. Ellie losing her fingers to Abby too because she pursued revenge? This is nothing but a spit in the fans' faces.

I give you your 3-4 points for making a game with good mechanics, graphics, and an immersive semi-open/linear world. But a story based game with a bad story and good mechanics is the same as wrapping filth in gold. (The first game really established the mechanics and atmosphere of the game already, so honestly giving these points is hard enough). There are moments where love and somberness (guitar scene, flashbacks) that made me slightly smile and for that I won't give this game a 0. However, they are easily countered with bad pacing and unnecessarily awkward focused details like Ellie having sex with her girlfriend while Joel is in trouble. Feels just.. out of place. If you want those beliefs to be part of the "norm" then you have to treat them as the norm not go out of your way for them.

Please redo this game or have a DLC or SOMETHING to fix the story. I don't care for politics, moral beliefs, etc I just want to see my favorite characters go through something meaningful. Abby should have to pay for her actions and we should not have to play as her. (Someone getting to know her maybe could work?) More playtime for Joel and Ellie, a resolution to their feelings about the decision in the last game. Give him a death where he goes out with a BANG and make us watch. But in the end, make it mean something with bittersweet memories and whatever else could've been done to drive your point home that pursuing revenge will only cost more.

For me the characters were broken and warped by the world in which they live. Everyone is off the deep end and who could blame them. Graphics, the setting and story were fantastic. Gameplay was a little

No negative reviews from the critics too scared to write about it's flaws and get paid to give it a good rating and then keep their mouth shut. I guess if you have enough influence and the ability to make any developer/producer look negatively through the media if they are not open to marginalized groups of people then you can do anything. Thanks for forcing some kind of strong women/Trans friendly story though a franchise that they knew would sell a lot even if there agenda was injected in the game. Can't make one from scratch huh? Imagine if the leaks didn't come out how much worse this would of been. This story sacrifices the main story between Joel and Ellie for the sake of someone named Abby who no one wanted or cared to see. You have betrayed your fans for the sake of A.S. and her agenda to force her narrative into already established franchises. What game is next? You going to try to replace God of War with someone else now? Metal Gear? Who else is on the chopping block? All in all, the graphics and gameplay is great but the story is total trash dumpster fire and is all over the place. Don't expect to get what you want out of last of us 2 unless you wanted some girl to take over the story. The "girl takeover story" agenda is real. As for me, 0/10 for a game that wasn't meant for fans but meant to please a certain group of people. Guess you guys have invade a franchise and change it for it sell this ideology huh lol. What a joke. Expand

Very violent and heart-wrenching, yet beautiful journey, that left me conflicted and heartbroken, but it was worth it. After I finished it the first thing I wanted to do was to call my dad. Thanks to all of you hard-working awesomely talented people at Naughty Dog!

But then...levels are too long, action is almost every minute (i loved first Last of Us especially for it's atmosphere of adventure) and this final "monster" with Abby in the hospital. Guys are you seriously? I'm playing on minimal complexity level (just relaxing) and you even don't provide me chance to skip this fight! I thought this type of game design (player and enemy in close space) ended in 90s.
Game over for me on this level. Last of Us 1 was much better.
    Bye Naughty Dog.

+ stealth works very well for the game of this genre.
+ Different tone, the game feels different, not just like an addon

    Things I didnt like:
    - Abby. This was the perfect moment to introduce a very strong transgender character: the world is **** people are becoming crazy, so it makes perfect sense for someone to question their sexuality, beliefs and other. But she does nothing to depict the benefit of her being transsexual, or the character traits to affect the story: aside from a meaty scene and couple very flat jokes, she could have been a guy and nothing would have changed. A missed opportunity.

    - Story. Seemed out of place, rushed - the story would feel much more compelling if some events appeared earlier than the others, it feels like order was screwed. And overall, it was quite predictable.
    - Gameplay: combat still sucks ass, very slow and clunky, especially during escape sequences. I guess controller limitations, but hey... it is literally painful to aim sometimes.
    - Ending: Subverting expectations, in the worst way, the last jedi way. won't spoil, but whatever you have done in game is literally thrown in the garbage bin, since apparently it was not needed and a character does 180 emotional transformation.

Could have been better, average game.

This game has great user experience, the combat system, graphics, sound effects are top notch, much darker story than the original. If new to the series then you will love it, if you played the original then you will have issues with the story. Regardless a great game.

Totalmente falso.

That's a complete spit to the fans face and to the Joel's corps. Such a poor story and such a strong sjw-agenda. Wish the makers make the game not politics again. Uhhh....what am I talking about.... dreams-dreams-dreams...

It felt inconclusive and left you wondering well what’s going to happen next, which may have been the intention. There was something about the ending that didn’t sit well with me Expand

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
