    A very good game, it's just that the world isn't ready for this kind of storytelling in games. People often say they want games to evolve in terms of narrative and storytelling yet when developers try to change things up a bit, people despise it. But yeah, in my opinion this is a well written game and might even consider this a masterpiece.     Honestly such a great game. I'm usually not a fan of either horror or shooters but this game has great gameplay and even better story and characters. Lots of twists and turns, far surpasses the first one.

    Un juego que deberia ser obligatorio jugar para cualquier persona que le gusten los videojuegos, considero que es una obra maestra tanto en la inmensa narrativa que lograron crear como en la excelente jugabilidad, me esperaba mucho de esta historia y me terminaron dando muchisimo mas.

    Phenomenal follow up to a game that never needed a sequel. A true test of empathy and innovative long form story telling interlaced with tensing gameplay. Please play it for yourself and experience this work of art. I have so much more to say but will reserve it for the sake of preserving the experience.

    While I don’t think it’s better than the first as an overall package, it’s undeniably one of the best games of the generation. And a very successful sequel. I’ve never experienced the emotional reaction I had when playing this game in any other medium of entertainment and for that alone, it has to be one of my favourites.     This is by far one of the best narrative driven games of this generation. This game is better than the original in pretty much every way. I'm giving it a 10 out of 10 but it doesn't mean it's without its flaws. However, the emotional impact it will have on you will make you ignore its imperfections. Amazing game.

La verdad yo coincido cuando dicen que es demasiado inclusivo, la muerte de Joel me pareció algo rara, pero desde luego nunca pondría una nota tan baja. Creo que algunos no supieron ponerse en los pies de Abby, y lo entiendo, si es que incluso antes de usarla repiten la brutal escena que desató el odio hacía ella, pero yo personalmente (que esperé el juego los 7 años que se tardó) disfruté mucho de este personaje. Y no sólo de ella, sino también de la inteligencia de los enemigos, la crudeza en cada combate, el increíble motor gráfico, las nuevas mecánicas que aporta el gameplay como las diferentes habilidades que tienen ambos personajes (por dar un ejemplo), entre otros detalles. Gracias a todas las cosas en las que el juego se lució como ningún otro, puedo llegar a decir que ninguna experiencia Iguala a vivir esta historia de principio a fin.… Expand

The game makes you understand that each enemy you kill might have friends and family of their own, any of whom might set out on their own quest for retribution the same way Ellie wages her war of vengeance against all who stand in her way.

    The game is absolutely jaw dropping visually, in every aspect, adding to the tone of beautiful desolation which perfectly complements the themes. The art team at Naughty Dog is clearly the best in the business, and they are not hiding that fact.

    The gameplay is top notch. The dynamic action-stealth combat system allows you to approach combat encounters in nearly unlimited ways, with each weapon at your disposal filling it's own unique niche in your arsenal. The game doesn't rate or punish you for breaking stealth, and in fact encourages a sort of "in-and-out" approach which allows you to mix up your approach as you see fit, going loud with firearms, arrows, and bombs, or sticking to the shadows and silently eliminating the enemy with brutal efficiency.    … Expand

    This game is a WORK OF ART! It makes you think about what brings people to do what they do. It makes you realize that everybody has their own reasons to do what they do, and there’s no heroes or villains, just people living their lives and trying to survive. You gotta play it for understanding what I’m saying. YOU MUST PLAY IT!

    I loved "The Last of Us" I loved "The Last of Us Part 2" even more. I can understand why people are disappointment, but I disagree with the majority that are on the bandwagon that claims that the story is bad. I think the story is deep, and complex, and the fact that it puts you in the eyes of another side of the story. The fact that it forces you to question whether you are the hero,I loved "The Last of Us" I loved "The Last of Us Part 2" even more. I can understand why people are disappointment, but I disagree with the majority that are on the bandwagon that claims that the story is bad. I think the story is deep, and complex, and the fact that it puts you in the eyes of another side of the story. The fact that it forces you to question whether you are the hero, and questions it raises with morality are very interesting. I remember being in a movie theater when Avengers was the hottest thing, and the whole theater would erupt in cheers - TLOU II is the exact opposite of that, and I LOVED it! Absolute masterpiece.

    I'm only sad about the fact that I may never get to experience a story so deep again because the masses have decided, that this is the wrong way to do a story, and I'm sure it will reverberate through the industry. I do wish developers will continue to push the boundaries of story telling the way this title did.. but oh well. I guess I'll just have to go back to playing generic stories again.

    Riveting, heart-wrenching story that makes you connect with the characters unlike any other game I've played. Insanely good graphics, artwork, audio, acting rounds it off.

    Must have purchase for the end of the PS4 era.

    The story was really gripping, I loved the character arcs. I found myself rooting for the characters and hoping their arcs ended happily. The combat is awesome. I really enjoyed the stealth mechanic. TLOU2 has solid representation that feels important. I highly recommend this game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I truly loved this game, I played the first one and I thought it was excellent, I've played the second one now and it is absolutely excellent. The storytelling and character development is insane. People are mad because [spoiler] ..... Joel dies, and that's why it's getting rated so poorly. The story between Ellie and Abby is that they are two sides of the same coin. If we played the first game as Abby's story and now in the second game Ellie came along and killed her dad, we would have had the exact same reaction. The story is visually beautiful as it is in performance and in storytelling. It is so raw and real because this is a post apocalyptic wasteland and having Joel die is a possibility that could happen in a real scenario. Having the expectation that it was still going to keep to that father daughter trope would have been tiring and childish in that Ellie was growing up and evidently distancing herself a bit from Joel. It was heartbreaking how the revenge story was played out and so raw in emotion that it shows Ellie's development as a person as she grapples with reality. Truly an excellent game.… Expand

    The game is a journey of emotions, it makes you to make some hard decisions though but that's how real life is. And about the hate for Abby, i personally loved the character(Good portrayal by Laura Bailey).
    All i want to say is don't listen to all these haters, play the game by yourself and decide it, i bet you will love it and it is the best a gamer can get. For me it is a 10/10 game.

    TLOU2 requires an amount of emotional empathy on the players part. You will need to think about what is going on in someone else's head. It may not conform to how you feel at the time, but you have to be capable to discard your thoughts and feelings and empathise with someone else. You're an actor in a story, rather than a participant making choices.

    Just like the real world, there are no good or bad people. We just do what we think is right at the time, and our actions have either negative or positive consequences, based on your viewpoint. We are all also imperfect - we make mistakes, and we make irrational choices based on our emotions.

    The game makes a point of making the player reconsider their first impressions, and perhaps admit to themselves that what they thought originally was not entirely correct. We are all guilty of instantly judging a person based on a single action, without knowing the full context about why they would do it.

    I thought the cinematic direction, cinematography, acting and story were all excellent. I found the gameplay very enjoyable too. No game is perfect, but by current gaming standards, this is as good as it gets. 10/10    … Expand

    Just play it, overcome hard decisions, be happy, be sad, enjoy a graphic masterpiece and be amazed to the attention for details. Then say if you liked or not, what a journey totally, recommended.

    I did not expect game is far from my expectation. Great gameplay, graphics and game mechanics. I enjoy the game from the beginning until the end. Naughty dog nailed it and for me its a masterpiece.

    Great story, it hit me with so many emotions. This is the only game which can do that for me.
    Great Graphics, every scene is beautiful.
    Great Gameplay, yes it's exactly like the first game, but much better. Amazing animations and it's super smooth. I kept playing and playing, it was amazing.

This game is freaking amazing and the story is really damn good. Its deep and got a lot of unexpected twists. Just loved the feeling of the game and how they made it even darker than in the 1st game, though the 1st was heavy as hell.     This is obviously the Last Jedi of video games. Some people hated it because it didn't tell the story they wanted. Some people hated it for having characters that are "other". Some people very obviously trashed it without even playing it. I'd bet money that in ten years this is as highly regarded as the first game.

    This game is most definitely in my top 3 video games of all time (along with The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4) even if there are two main aspects missing in comparison (but perhaps not applicable given the concept /context of the game ) :
    - not an open world
    - no user based choice making

    Regardless of these 2 shortcomings, #TheLastofUsPartII lives up to its first installment and then some. I particularly appreciated the novelty of addressing a revenge story from the perspective of both antagonist - a truly brilliant idea that challenges the player’s preconceptions and gives a whole new dimension to the gaming experience. Furthermore, the quality and depth of the main characters (not just Ellie & Abby) is so poignant that I felt there was even more to be said told them, perhaps in a DLC?

    We can only hope that Naughtydog will make a 3rd volume and team up the girls against those Rattlers.    … Expand
