    I created an account just to rate this masterpiece and because of all the unfair user reviews. This is the best game that I have ever played. Its an emotional rollercoaster with a mature storyline that got under my skin and stayed there long after completing it. Its all I could think about weeks after playing it.     Words can't describe how good this game was. Just play it through from start to finish, and then make your judgement about it. The game takes its time to craft its massive story, and it will be rewarding if you let it.

    I never go out of my way to rate things like this, but I felt like the baseless vitriol surrounding this game needed a bit of a counterbalance. This game is objectively excellent on nearly every front. Stop acting like children or you'll discourage this type of world-class storytelling in AAA games and we'll be stuck with endless Fortnites.

I agree that the order of the game could have been different and some characters should have gotten more screen time. It's not a perfect game but the main points i see people being angry over are:

    1. Joel's death
    2. Abby being a bad character both visually and mentally.
    3. LeSbIaNS

    1.First, Joel dying sad yes, is the world of Last of us fare on any level? NOPE. I think that there could have been other things to motivate Ellie or ways to give the story a conflict but then that would have been a different story. Joel’s death was horrible and that's the point. It’s a story about the Spiral of Revenge and why you shouldn’t go down it and if you do that you have the option to stop.

    2.Muscle woman go Golf, did not have a problem with Abby, like her after I got to play with Alice, Liked talking to her Friends, Manny A+ give more screen time. Abby is a person just like Ellie, everyone is capable of bad stuff. Abby beats Joel with Golf club? Booooooooooooo
    Ellie beats Nora with a pipe? yeeeeeaaaaaahhhh, that’s kinda hypocritical in my opinion.

    3.I am glad that we get an open and visible active LGBT+ character (two since we got Lev but his LGBT+ identity is not that explored but they at least didn’t **** it up). You know how a character goes the whole series, movie or game not being romantic or attracted to any gender and then in a end credit scene, in some brand twitter post or some other **** they gay now. Also why save their gayness until the very end? Last of Us part says **** that, here is some Lesbions enjoy. Ellie and Dina could have gotten some more couple moments in Seattle but the beginning and end part goog.

    overall i give it 8.7/10, could have been longer, could have changed some minor things, but in all honesty I don't see why people hate it but I understand not liking the game, I don’t like Uncharted but I don’t hate it.

Despite the story hating, I should say game’s story is very deep dived into the grey morality, and it’s implementation is great, Naughty Dog made a good job. Gameplay, audio and visual environment is absolutely persistent, nobody can’t deny this. Okay i finally get why the game is layed out like it is, with Ellie first and abby second and not broken up and jumping between them - it's so the gamer experiences the whole journey - we lose someone we love (Joel's death) we're angry and want revenge, we get further and further into that darkness, we get the revenge we wanted (abby killing joel) we realise it doesn't make things better, we find a new purpose in life (Lev) we find the light. See the reason we don't want ellie to kill abby at the end is because we know it won't work and we can see it as a mistake because we are emotionally way ahead of ellie at this point. We, the gamer, completed the whole cycle and found the light, ellie is still stuck in the dark, so we are able to see the mistake for what it is. I also realised that I'm not onboard with the abby section until Lev because I can't forgive her but Lev becomes a reason for us to want abby to live, she suddenly has a purpose because she is all Lev has in this world, so it's not we want abby to live because we forgive her or like her as a character, its because we need her to look after Lev because he's an innocent in this world and we want to protect him, so we can push aside our hatred for abby enough to let her do this.

Different franchises felt like re-skins this generation. Developers have run out of ideas. In such times, the last of us part II actually felt, trust me, like a breeze of fresh air, however bleak it may be. Accept this game for the love of gaming. This is nothing short of a masterpiece and then some. Best gameplay. It’s been a long time since I’ve played a game so responsive as the last of us part II. Playing it makes you whole. You will feel overwhelmed by the possibilities it presents during every possible encounter. Be yourself in this game. Make your own story through every encounter and share it with us online or with your friends. Secondly, best graphics. This game has crossed red dead redemption in terms of graphics and detail. Yes, I know these two aren’t comparable because one is an open-world and the other is a semi open-world but trust me when I say this, it is the best looking game this generation. The atmosphere doesn’t fall short in making you feel alone and miserable, as every enterable building or area has it’s own story. Reading the letters by those whose corpses have decomposed with those letters in their hands, tell stories that can make you feel like playing a side-quest at every possible location where such artefacts are found. The detail of this game needs much more appreciation. Lastly, the story, is controversial yet the message it gives is a life lesson which us, the young inexperienced people of this world will not understand and it is a known fact that we, humans, always get afraid of what we Don’t understand. You might not ‘get’ the story or you might not like it, but I’m sure you will understand it when you ponder upon it years after ‘surviving’. You will see what was taught to us through this game was true. And then The Last of Us Part II will be appreciated by each and everyone of you, I know. Please love the people who have given us this ‘change’. Love them because in this world where the world works on the basis of money, they dared to do something out of the box, which already is damaging them. Be happy that there are still such people that can dare to differ. Years from now on, this game will get all the praise that it deserves and then some. I know it. Trust me. Embrace this game.     In Ellie's diary, in all the drawings she makes of Joel during the game she never drew his eyes, because the only memory that comes to mind when remembering him, is the look and the sad face he started to carry after the distance that the two started to have for Ellie having discovered what really happened in that hospital in the first game and saying that she would never be able to forgive him, despite being willing to try.

    And she felt so guilty for that, of not having forgiven him in time and saying how much she loved him and how important he was to her, that she was blinded by revenge just as Abby was in killing Joel.

    Before Abby met Ellie at the theater, we can see through a note that she writes in her diary, that she no longer knows why she chose to go on that journey, if she was still doing all that to avenge Joel's death or if the reason would be another (guilt)... She even hints that Joel would not support her decision to leave Jackson, as he always puts those he loves first.

    And, unfortunately, Ellie had to abandon everything she had and lose all the people she loved to understand that all that cycle of hatred, violence and revenge would not lead them to anything, because regardless of what they do, even if she killed Abby, nothing would bring him back and nothing would be able to numb the pain in a way that would make it easy.

    Most people hated the game because it has a bitter ending, but this is always the consequence of revenge.

    We felt all the pain that the search for revenge caused for Ellie added to the feeling of mourning for Joel death.

    This game is a masterpiece and shows us how much we should love and forgive those who are with us while there is still time and that is why it hurts so much and so many people hated it, because death does not announce its arrival, Joel died unexpectedly in a ridiculous way as we are all subject every day (and they mainly due to the context of an apocalypse).

    Abby in search of revenge and for all her selfishness lost Owen, Mel, Danny, Yara and all of her other friends, in addition to her tribe (the wolves).

    Ellie in search of Abby, also for revenge, lost Joel, Jesse, Tommy, Dina, JJ ... Some died and others left her ... But she lost what else had sentimental value to her, her ability to play guitar, the only connection she still had with Joel.

    BOTH lost many important people during their journeys, who would still be alive if they had not chosen the path of hatred and selfishness.

    So the phrase that defines this game is:

    "Before going out for revenge, dig two pits. Revenge is sweet, but for the bee costs its life."

    Another reflection, besides that revenge is not a worthwhile path to follow is that every coin has two sides and playing with Abby throughout the other half of the game we can understand this and understand her motivations so that she felt such a need to get revenge.

    We went into her history and we can understand everything that Joel took from her, because he was also selfish in that hospital to make a real slaughter leaving a huge trail of blood and killing innocent people in horrible ways just to save Ellie.

    In this game there are no dichotomies, as we see that each character is the hero of their own story, but if we analyze it broadly, there is no right and wrong, just like every war there are no villains, only two sides fighting for what they think the truth is.

    Anyway, The Last Of Us 2 is an incredible game that brings us endless reflections and it's okay not to like it, but all those who are giving it free hate comments, are dumb people who didn't take even a second of their lives to stop and reflect on history and in the game proposal!

    This game, in its proposal, was created to be realistic, not only in graphics and gameplay, but in content and history. And life rarely has happy endings. Life is also about loss, pain, hate... not just "lived happy ever after"... TLOU2 is there to make us feel this whole roller coaster of feelings...     Absolute beast of a game. Love it totally. The beauty of the game is the way the story goes that draws the player into the exact same feeling of the characters and start to question on the notion of revenge, anger, violence and sadness. No other games I played has been able to involved such feelings and reaction. The gameplay and graphics and the whole experience is GOTY to me.

It went something like this: Death usually has no meaning, most of us won't die in any meaningful way, it comes out of nowhere and we are left desperate trying to deal with the loss of a loved one. I believe that the game making us feel this certain way is the main reason I am saying this is a masterpiece.     Just finished the game, what an incredible story! These games, from the beginning of the first one to the end of the second are absolutely perfect. One of my favourite features is the moral ambiguity, no one here is good or bad but everyone is human. Absolutely brilliant.

    The game is a masterpiece. Even though the plot may be opinable (it is a subjective thing anyway), as a game it is perfect. I have never seen a game with this level of detail. Every corner of every building has that single detail that makes you smile. The gameplay is perfect too, with very high level of design.

    Masterpiece. The only other game that has made me feel emotionally attatched and conflicted is The Last of Us. And they did it again with part 2. The gameplay was great and fluid. Bueno, lo que opino sobre el juego es que es una Obra Maestra, primeramente voy a hablar de las gráficas, jugabilidad, los puzzles, y otras cosas más. Este juego tiene las mismas mecánicas que su antecesor The Last of Us, por lo que si te gustaron las del primer juego estas te van a encantar aún más, los movimientos son realistas, el como reacciona Ellie a cada golpe, situación, es bastante bueno y natural, la manera en como podemos buscar suplementos para poder sobrevivir es genial, no lo sientes pesado ni repetitivo, en las dificultades más difíciles (Sobreviviente +) se nota el como los NPCs aumentan su inteligencia, te escuchan más fácil y logran verte desde más lejos, no llegan a fallar balas y quitan demasiada vida, por lo que este juego logra hacerte sufrir por ahorrar suministros y municiones, logrando que uses tu lado estratégico, los infectados se ven mucho mejor, tienen muy buen detalle al mirarlos con la mira del rifle de caza, son más resistentes y difíciles. en los ambientes tranquilos la exploración no llega a enfadar, es más resolver acertijos para obtener suplementos y piezas además de munición y recolectables, le da un giro a la acción del juego para que veas que no todo son guerras entre bandos e infectados. La mejora de armas es mucho mejor, muestra lo que hace en cada arma, desde limpiarla para disparar más rápido, hasta añadir piezas para mejorar su daño, el como al recoger munición no se lleva el arma sino que solo le retira las balas. UFF chulada de juego en Mecánicas. Bueno pasemos a la historia.

    HISTORIA

    La verdad la historia de este juego me hizo sentir tantas emociones que el primer juego no logro, el que tengan una vida segura en Jackson me diice que aún en tiempos feos, puede haber paz, amor, compañerísmo, sociedades, entre otras cosas. Bueno vamos a lo pesado, el que hayan asesinado a Joel (Protaginista del primer juego) de una manera tan poco heroica y de manera brutal, me hace pensar que en ese mundo no hay sobrehumanos ni héroes que no se puedan asesinar como a cualquier otra persona, el que Abby (antagonísta de The Last Of Us Part ll) haya encontrado a Joel y lo asesinara de forma tan brutal con un palo de Golf, nos dio muchísima rabia, pero esto era necesario para querer seguir con la historia, saber que va a pasar después. En lo personal, la muerte de Joel se me hizo muy bien planteada y es como el fósforo que encendió la mecha. Al principio nos puede dar rabia y tristeza, pero conforme lo vayas pensando y vuelvas a pasar el juego entenderás que es una muerte necesaria. el juego con Abby la verdad es que me pareció bastante interesante ya que nos dan su punto de vista y nos explica el por qué asesinó a Joel de una manera ta brutal y sin piedad, el gameplay con Abby es bueno, de hecho creo que tiene más acción que con Ellie, en lo personal me gustó más la forma de ser de Abby, es más alegre y empatiza más con las personas o sus compañeros,luego está la parte de la pelea con Ellie siendo Abby, sinceramente la primera vez que supe que tenía que casi matar a Ellie me dieron ganas de vomitar, ansiedad, enojo, y tristeza, quería dejar de jugar ese día, no me lo podía creer, pero dicho lo anterior, creo que ese era el objetivo del juego, hacerte sentir emociones que ningún otro juego te hace sentir (En mi opinión). Lo único que le quitaría son las horas de juego con Abby. y bueno el final, sé que después de lo que Ellie recorrió para volver a encontrar a Abby, las personas que asesinó y lo que sufrió, es demasiado para dejar con vida a Abby, pero creo que el Flashback que tiene justo antes de ahogar a Abby de Joel tocando la guitarra le recordó a un Flashback que sucede un momento después en la historia y creo yo que hacía referencia a este, que es después de la pelea en la cantina, se encuentra Joel tocando la guitarra y llega Ellie para hablar de lo sucedido, Ellie saca a flote el tema de Los Luciérnaga, renegando de por qué él no dejó que ella fuera la cura para todo el mundo, así su vid podía llegar a tener imporancia, a lo que Joel responde que s tuviera otra oportunidad de cambiar las cosas, volvería a hacer lo mismo, en ese momento Ellie le dice: "No creo poder perdonarte por eso, aunque me gustaría". Esas palabras son las que creo yo recordó con el primer Flashback de Joel tocando la guitarra y lo aplicó a Abby, no puedo creer lo que hiciste, pero te perdono :´( Por eso Ellie la deja con vida y deja que se marche, aprendió a perdonar. Lo más triste que pasó en todo el juego no es la muerte de Joel, sino que es cuando Ellie pierde todo lo que amaba, perdió a Dina y JJ, perdió la posibilidad de tocar lo que ella más amaba, la guitarra, y quedó totalmente sola, algo a lo que ella le tenía miedo.     My god, Last of Us Part 2 is a tragic tale of grief and violence and how that can destroy people. I've never felt so heavy with guilt(?) as a player. This game bloody tests you. Beautiful in all its horror, I very much appreciated the experience.
    Sure it has its pacing issues, but all in all an experience I'd recommend to any fan of character studies.

Starting off with graphics I have to say this game is by far one of the best, prettiest, jaw dropping games I’ve ever played! And I’m not kidding- from the nature to the snow to the beaches to abandoned cities, you’ll appreciate every detail that you see.
    Overall I have to say that I very much loved the graphics of this game and if you plan on picking it up, man oh man you should definitely pick up a headset too.

    The audio is so damn good in this game! The sounds of the infected really got my heart racing. Hearing a zombie in a dark room or having someone set off a bomb sounds oh so good! The audio is such a masterpiece! The soundtrack? Man does it immerse you and have you feeling like you’re in the scene. From being chased down by your enemies; locked in a room with the zombies; or just enjoying a nice hike through the nature trails, the audio is so beautiful and vibrant and I just have to say thank you Naughty Dog for that. But I can’t say that for combat, especially in certain areas. The game seems to be a stealth type but sometimes forces you to do hand-to-hand andor full on face-to-face combat, which I love. It is sometimes odd and did throw me off and frustrate me a bit. Gun play is a little odd and can sometimes be annoying just like hand to hand combat. I found this to especially be true with the bow. There were times I would make a perfect head shot but end up only alerting the enemy. Very annoying. I feel like the aiming mechanic was a little rusty and could have been worked on a little bit longer. Playing hide and go seek with your enemies is sometimes frustrating as well, especially if you’re not quick on your toes (I can be the slow type, myself). Hand to hand combat sounds pretty rough in a post apocalyptic game and you get that here. Hand to hand combat or using a blunt or sharp object to kill your enemies is quite awesome; seeing you literally beat the person down seems so realistic. Not to sound like a psycho or anything! I just appreciate what they did there and I feel like they worked on that a lot more than the gun play. Overall, the stuff in the game is quite the same as the first game.

    Quick little sidenote: Character development here is a thing and I appreciate that. I’ve seen that some people find issue with it, but I give them an A for effort!

    The Last of Us Part Two is a pretty lengthy game that offers two sides of the story instead of one. Not a lot of games do that these days. You’ll go on a long adventure with long cut scenes and some annoying decisions but overall this game shows you how dark and cruel this world can be, but at the same time, beautiful. The Last of Us Part Two is a masterpiece by far and I have to say that I will be playing this game again and again through the years to come. I will not forget about it. I highly recommend people pick this up and play it and if you’re skeptical on it wait for a deal to hit the game. But for me, it’s a game that is worth a full $65. I cannot wait for any DLC that might hit in the future. I just want to say to Naughty Dog that I very much appreciate everything that you’ve done and to all of the teams that worked on this game I appreciate everything that you’ve done as well. Part 1 was able to do it and part 2 is at least as good as part 1 in doing it (in my opinion). The plot of Part 2 is almost completely filled with sad events whats probably one cause why people are upset about the game. Especially Ellie gets confronted with these events and the end of the game gives no relieve (No Happy End). Additionally there is a second character the player gets to play that is completely new to the last of us and was never seen in part 1. But in the end the game tells a beautiful story and shows the actions of Ellie and Joel out of a completely new perspective.… Expand

The stealth gameplay if you choose to play that way is brilliant with lots of options. The accessibility options they have provided to enable a great gaming experience for all types of players is up there with the best I’ve seen.

I was worried about both sides and couldn't decide for myself who really right. Can revenge for a loved one soothe the soul? The soul that doesn't understand that revenge will not stop her suffering, but only give rise to a greater evil about which it is scary to think? All this can be considered very broadly and for a long time. The LGBT agenda with which many are furious... so much little, I almost didn't notice it. Honestly, analyzing the whole game, it's difficult to say that this is propaganda or an agenda. Special thanks to Gustavo for his great soundtrack. This person knows his job and helps to feel what the players should feel at the moment. As a result, I finished the game with a very heavy load on my soul. Directly fully aware of everything that happened before. It’s hard, very hard to accept all of it, but it’s necessary. I look forward to continuing the story. I hope it will be. It's impossible that the story ends like this. It's obvious. Such a mixed feeling aroused in general. I bet 10/10, because I think that the game is made perfectly in every aspect.

    Игра смогла задеть струны моей души. Смогла сыграть неплохую мелодию на моих чувствах. Я переживал за обе стороны и не смог решить для себя, кто же на самом деле прав. Может ли месть за родного человека успокоить душу? Душу, не понимающую, что месть не остановит её страдания, а только породит большее зло про которое страшно подумать? Всё это очень широко и долго можно рассматривать. ЛГБТ-повестка с которой многие бесятся... Её мало, я почти не заметил. Честно, анализируя всю игру, то трудно сказать, что это пропаганда или повестка.
    Отдельное спасибо Густаво за его великолепные саундтреки. Этот человек знает своё дело и помогает почувствовать то, что должны чувствовать игроки в данный момент.
    По итогу, закончил игру с очень тяжёлым грузом на душе. Прям полностью осознавая всё происходящее ранее. Тяжело, очень тяжело принять всё, но нужно. Жду продолжения истории. Надеюсь, оно будет. Нельзя, чтобы так закончилось всё. Это же очевидно. Такое смешанное чувство вызвало в общем. Ставлю 10/10, потому что считаю, что игра сделана отлично. С какой стороны не глянь.    … Expand

    Gostei do jogo... muito imersivo, e a narrativa é ótima. Infelizmente eu acho que todo esse ódio em relação ao jogo é injustificado. Mal posso esperar pela sequência!!!

    When a game can leave you as emotional as I was, the developers did their job better than I could have expected. They don't shy away from telling THEIR story, and it was a rollercoaster of emotions. Graphically a beautiful game. The best story ever told through a video game, and hell, better than most stories out there now a days.

    Last of Us Part II is an incredible journey and a big step forward for video games. I feel bad that people are caught up in their expectations of the franchise because I got so much out of this game. The story telling in this is on par with Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire. Stealth and combat mechanics have been improved since the first game. Ammo scarcity forces improvisation. One of theLast of Us Part II is an incredible journey and a big step forward for video games. Each event of the previous one has consequences over the story, which truly makes the player think over about dilemas regarding the morality of the characters that reflects some other dilemas that we have in the real world. It is an experience that I have never seen in any other game, as unique as the first “The Last of Us” was in its time. Indeed, it is a dark game, with a heavy atmosphere (way more than part 1), that makes you have tons of contradictory emotions and experiences through your gameplay, which may be one of the reasons that some people don’t enjoy it — but that contrast is exactly what makes it so special and beautiful. Only by playing it you will get to understand what I mean, but bear in mind you have to be ready for it. And for those who do not have the opportunity to play, you can also get a good view of it by watching a full gameplay walkthrough on YouTube (I repeat, it has to be an ENTIRE walkthrough, not just the main cutscenes to get to know the plot “in general”), although some parts can be a little monotonous for those who are watching, like searching for resources (which again, contributes a lot to give the player a full experience both in part 1 and 2). In the end, Naughty Dog once again provide us with a true work of art, and despite you may or may not prefer the first game, it is inarguably great and worth playing.… Expand

Não entendo as pessoas que não gostaram, provavelmente não interpretaram do jeito certo ou não jogaram e meteram pau no game. Uma coisa é você jogar e ter sua crítica e outra é não pegar a porra do controle. Este game me trouxe sentimentos e emoções que nunca senti, ver a Abby adotando o Lev como filho é emocionante de mais, ela mesmo se deu conta que a Vingança não vale a pena, enquanto a Ellie ainda tinha aquela vontade. No final vimos nossa protagonista perdendo tudo oque ela tinha, o que significa que a vingança não vale a pena. Joguem, e aproveitem!!… Expand

    Man I was not ready for this! ND took lot more risks (which is rare in AAA games) in this game and i think it pays off. I was not ready to the turns the game would take but I have to agree, I almost put my controller down at a certain point. But as you move forward, you slowly realize the story ND is trying to convey and you just cant stop feeling awed. Dont get enraged by the leaksMan I was not ready for this! The game makes you and Ellie want to get vengeance and sets you both on the same path. Instead of making the actions right/wrong, it explores the moral gray area which as you progress through the story makes you question yourself ]which I feel is genius. By the end you definitely would get a clear picture on what ND was trying to say and man does it work. It may not be the sequel one wants but it the sequel the first game deserves.… Expand

    Beautifully written, nuanced story that digs deeply into the complex characters and their motivations. The gameplay is slick and has so many accessibility options that it meets the needs of anyone who wants to play. It more than lived up to my high expectations, it broke my heart, it terrified me, and I loved it.

    Jogo absurdamente bom do início ao fim! ND mandou mto bem em suas escolhas de roteiro. Gráficos lindos, jogabilidade maravilhosa, trilha sonora minimalista e pontual. Tenho pena de quem não entendeu e não sentiu tudo oq o jogo propõe.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
