    I’m playing in video games over 20 years, and this game is a masterpiece of game industry with such high lavel game direction, game design and attention to details. Naughty Dog made a incredible work with all love that they had, created a a game, a new world, and it’s insame. Spector of emotions that I’ve had was like roller coaster.     This has got to be on of the best games on the PS4. The graphics, gameplay and story beats are on point. It pulls on my heart strings throughout and is incredibly powerful and innovative. It breaks my heart that people wrote negative reviews without even picking up the game or even finishing it.     The heavy push for strange and out of place topics in combination with recycles game mechanics and a weak, illogical story filled with plot holes make this game a disappointment beyond belief. If you care about a good story, skip this one at all costs and spend your money on games and developers that actually care about their game

    Just play the whole game and then decide for yourself. My opinion, no it’s not for the light hearted. Do I believe this game is a perfect 10? Yes undoubtedly. Does it make choices that are messed up and sad? Of course it does! So did the first one! Also people are saying the writing is bad and that I do not understand. The writing in this game is better than the first one. People justJust play the whole game and then decide for yourself. My opinion, no it’s not for the light hearted. Do I believe this game is a perfect 10? Yes undoubtedly. Does it make choices that are messed up and sad? Of course it does! So did the first one!     Incredible game, top notch gameplay, a few minor details but the twists and turns the story keeps on getting make the whole experience worth while. This game isn't free of its controversies and strong opinions, but it's something you must experience by yourself before making any judgement.

    Today I have finished this game. I came here to read what other people think of it and I feel sad for all the negative reviews. Like a lot of people here I played the first game and have been waiting with high expectations for Part 2 since it was announced. I think the game touches a lot on today’s society, good and bad. Are a lot of people being simple minded because of some of subjects that the game touches? Ie: Ellie’s sexuality. Sad if that is the case.

    When I completed the game I watched through all the game credits. Correction. I stared at the credits for a good 10/15 min just listening to the background guitar music and reflecting on what just happen.
    An emotional rollercoaster, happy moments, very sad moments and an unbelievable and unexpected story that kept me always guessing what would happen next.
    Is this game worth the 40 hours I just spent on it? Definitely yes and I will be playing it again for the Platinum.

    Is this the game of the decade? I believe so. Why? Because its a story of love, hate, selfishness and revenge that totally describes the society we live in today. And I love it for that. It also makes you reflect on how far are you willing to go to do what you think in your mind is right and just.
    We all have a right to our own opinion so, if you want to have your own opinion, do not listen to the bad reviews here and play the game. Only then you will know if it is worth it.

    I thank you Naughty Dog for taking me on this incredible journey and giving me one of the best games I ever played.    … Expand

    After 7 years we were waiting for a worthy sequel to the masterpiece that was The last of us and what they give us is one of the worst games possible, the characters were bland and unlikeable most of the time the interactions seemed forced and cringeworthy.
    They kill Joel at the beginning of the game, how can you kill such a beloved character like that?? the Joel Allie dynamic was what made the game so great to begin with, and on top of that, we're forced to play 10h as the character who killed him? by the way, shes's one of the worst characters in videogame history not to talk about the sex scene no one wanted to see...
    The game visuals are stunning but it couldn't make up to all the flaws not even close.
    Overall, one of the worst games ever made and it'll be hard to make a worst one.    … Expand

The last of us part 2 is a great game. hear me out first. i absolutely loved the first game when i finished i immediately began another play through. the story and characters were so well done and it is a near perfect game. this is how i see the games. The first last of us had okay gameplay, it wasn't bad whatsoever i actually really enjoy it but it was nothing special while the story was perfect and i loved it so much i cant wait to see the HBO show. The last of us part 2 has amazing graphics, gameplay, bosses, chase scenes everything. the game is so immersive and brutal enemies cry out for their friends and lives. but where this game drops is the story. People absolutely hate the story and i completely get why. its a mess and sometimes theres just a bit too much political nonsense. but for me it doesn't ruin the experience completely. people are out here giving the game a zero which is absolutely far fetched and undeserving. a zero means it has nothing good at all and you even though you hate the story you cant just ignore the visuals, acting, and gameplay. its very unfair. now going deeper into the story. i will admit, i was furious when i saw that i had to play as abby for half the game. i hated her for what she did to joel and wanted her dead. but as you keep playing you learn he motives. think about it. Ellie and abby are on the exact same story. someone killed their father figure and they want revenge. why is abby the bad guy here? yes, i still hate abby for killing joel but the story humanizes everyone and develops them in a good way. people are also mad about the ending. i can see why but people need to look into it more. this whole story is a violent revenge story. Joel kills abbys dad, abby kills joel, ellie kills owen and mel, abby kills jesse, just a whole circle of violence. had ellie killed abby at the end, Last of us part 3 probably wouldve been about lev getting revenge on ellie. She said she could never forgive joel for what he did but she could try, so why not abby? In the first game joel made a selfish choice and the one person he cares about deeply hates him. In part 2 Ellie makes a selfish choice and loses everything. It all comes full circle. i loved the game, story and gameplay, but i completely understand why people are mad and upset at the game, but i think its all for the wrong reasons and it is getting undeserved 0’s. Would recommend the game to people, but its not for everyone.… Expand

    Very important character disrespected in a terrible way right after the start of the game. They used the power of the image of the character just to push us to buy the game (even more disgusting).     Gameplay wise it is very cool and fun.
    The gameplay mechanics and AI are incredible and very fun.

    But the story is so bad and the choices about the characters are so delusional that you just can't play it.
    They hunt you down through the entire game and you just can not enjoy it. I am sorry.
    I thought that I was going to leave a good review, but I felt so disrespected that I just can not.

    What were you thinking?

    I still respect all the work and effort to create this game, good job.
    But story wise.... My God. Just NO.

    I am not being nice, I know and I am sorry for that, but we are sick of being tricked into buying your trash covered in glitters and fake good ratings (we all know they are fake, we just try to trust you).
    I hope that one day you will all learn your lesson.

    I am going to end this review with one of the most used lines in games:

So... on TLoU 1 we become very attached to the main characters, after all, we lived what they lived, we grew with them, we felt sorry for them, we became attached. But stop and think about what happened. In the end, Joel killed Abby's father, which was also the only person that could develop a cure. Not only he doomed the entire human race, to save Ellie, but he killed an innocent girl's father. We feel that it's justifiable because we care about both Ellie and Joel. When Abby did what she did on TLoU Part II, we got naturally angry at her, and wanted her dead. That's exactly how Abby felt, when Joel killed her father, she did exactly what we would've done in her situation - killed the person that killed her father - and we hated her for that. So people hate this game because a girl got to kill the person that killed her father, while the one that they care about was the better person and manage to forgive and release herself from all the hate she had in herself.… Expand

    A leap in video game storytelling, breathtaking graphics and score, extremly fun gameplay and level design. My only critic is of the tree skill, while still good but not groundbreaking as other elements of the game.

    A modern classic masterpiece that brings the morality complexity that exists in the real life to a video game. Unfortunately, a complexity that a lot of players failed to even try to understand and outcried at the lack of fan service. Naughty Dog's biggest mistake was to overestimate their audience.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined. How can characters and story from the first game be ruined so terribly? Although a story-based game, nothing makes sense with too many plot holes. Joel deserved better and the Joel we know would not have made such a mistake that would lead to such a ridiculously stupid death. To then be forced to play the character we hate and know nothing about all of a sudden and then try to kill our second beloved character is just horrible writing and for a game of this level and expectation just garbage. The ending is a dumpster fire of its own. All that time and effort built to kill Abby as well as killing hundreds on the way and it doesn't even take place. So why did we even play it? And a flashback of Joel results in this? Don't make me laugh! Joel was an ultra-survivor that trusted nobody and did everything to survive and would not have hesitated or had second thoughts about killing anyone to ensure his and his groups survival especially when it came to ellie. He was the last person that would have mercy when it came to survival. But he was no torturer either. Abby and Joel are nothing alike and there is just absolutely zero growth in this entire game and as said before, the game in the end felt pointless with just angered players left over with the stupidest choices possible. This plot could have maybe worked but everything was done wrong and out of order as well as out of place. Terrible overall and should be known as the worst let down of gaming history. Support the graphics and gameplay all you want, but I didn't feel much of a difference from the first game as the first game had gone beyond its time already in these categories so I refuse to give anything above 0. Everything has deteriorated and I refuse to accept this as the next game. I am still waiting for The Last of Us 2...… Expand

    I hated the game so much that I scored a 0 for the first time.
    The lowest score I ever played was 6.
    It's hard to imagine such a famous game cheating players in the trailer. Where all the trailers show Joel, it's actually Jesse.
    I saw the press today that it sold 4 million copies, so I came here to rate it and tell people who didn't pre-order it that it's a piece of **** don't buy it.

They seemed to have forgotten that what they were creating was a game meant to be played by a person. The execution and sequencing was that bad.     Pra mim eu achei execução da morte do Joel ruim, mas a sensação que me dá, do Joel morrendo na sua frente, me lembrou muito a morte do Glenn no The Walking Dead, foi uma surpresa e foi pesado. E é nisso que tá incrível desse jogo. Passar a realidade pós apocalíptica.

    Não teríamos o Part 2 da forma como foi retratado se a Ellie não tivesse tanto apego pelo Joel assim.     Se ele morresse por uma pessoa qualquer ou um infectado, eu não acho que ela teria ido se vingar, SE, e SE mesmo, ele morresse antes de ficar doente e a Ellie cuidando dele no inverno no 1, acho que ali foi o ponto chave pra eles serem pai e filha realmente. Principalmente com o Joel se curando e indo atrás da Ellie que foi raptado por aquele maníaco (esqueci o nome do cara do inverno no 1).

    Pra mim, se sou o Joel, levaria a Ellie pro Tommy na 1° vez que chegaram em Jackson ainda no 1 e teria ficado com ela lá e fim do The Last 1. E isso pode não tá certo na cabeça de um monte gente por ela ser a cura, mas era o que eu faria se eu fosse o Joel, com a história de vida dele.

    Acho que foi muito bem roteirizado, talvez mudasse um pouco na morte do Joel ou A Ellie largar a nova vida dela com a Dina e o filho dela na fazenda que elas tanto queriam (Já teve a chance de matar a Abby, vai largar a vida tranquila só pra matar uma pessoa, esquece, acabou a chance). O Tommy tbm vim com a notícia de uma mulher na Califórnia e a Ellie ir largando tudo ... isso eu não gostei muito. Uma coisa ou outra, mas pra mim é um jogo épico que vai marcar história. Muitos se lembraram desse jogo por décadas.

    Acho que não tem nenhuma lacração nesse jogo. Eu acho totalmente normal a Ellie ser lésbica, a Dina ser Bi, a Ally ser toda musculosa e o Lev ser Lilly, mas ele achar que é Lev. O problema é as pessoas não acharem normal, porquê infelizmente a sociedade coloca ''padrões'', esteriótipos e quem é diferente desse padrão tá errado.
    É por causa desse pensamento que há muito bullyng e violência com quem não é hétero ''padrozinado''.
    Qual o problema em ser assim? Pra aqueles que se sentem menos homem por causa delas, tem que começar a rever seus conceitos.
    Muitas mulheres são assim como as 4 e com toda certeza a hora que explodir de verdade pra toda a humanidade a história desse jogo, elas se sentirão muito bem e felizes de FINALMENTE serem bem representadas e isso pra mim é muito importante. Por exemplo, eu sou um nerd e eu me sinto representado pelo o Homem Aranha, que é cara que não é musculoso, mas é um herói incrível, inteligente, que a mina se apaixona por ele ser um cara bom, inteligente, não por ele ser o herói que é (a Mary Jane). E isso é muito bom e importante pra mim, porquê tem muita gente que é valentão, que acha que sempre o fortão, ser o cara que sai pegando todas, que tem lábia, que se dá bem e tudo mais e isso não é verdade. Já peguei mina pra cacete, e só porquê sou um cara bom, legal e inteligente. Essa é a minha opinião.

    Se eu fosse a Ellie, percebendo que a vingança com a Abby não vale mais a pena, porquê ela pagou o preço com a morte do pai dela. E que isso gerou a morte do Jesse e a quase morte do Tommy, da Dina e do bebê dela. Depois de eu ter matado todos os amigos da Abby. Pra mim, não me faria ir atrás da Abby. Eu mesmo mandaria o Tommy ir embora, esquecer essa história e ter uma vida boa e normal com a minha esposa e filho.

    Enfim, o jogo é sobre pessoas e suas escolhas, teria algumas escolhas diferentes deles? Sim teria algumas diferente, e essas minhas escolhas gerariam outras consequências boas e ruins, como é na nossa vida. São essas escolhas de cada personagem que fazem você ficar bem imersivo, bem triste e chateado em alguns momentos com as situações e faz com que esse jogo seja incrível, único e marcante na história dos vídeo games.    … Expand

The gameplay is great, although it's basically the same as in the first game with some extra mechanics, and it gets a bit boring sometimes. And finally, the plot... oh boy... As a person who has passed the first part three times and just passed the second, I confidently declare that the second part is a spit in the soul of the players. The plot is the biggest problem of the game (after the LGBT agenda). I am sure that each of the players after the end of the first part, I thought a little about the future of the characters, and I **** sure that such a nonsense could not fantasize. I myself cried on the assassination of Joel, damn it, it was the best scene in the game, I felt how animal aggression fills me from the inside out with all this scum, I already craved in the face of Ellie to discourage everyone involved in this. Best gameplay, great combats, scenary and graphics, The Last of Us Part 2 is a message about the consequences revenge and hate demands.     They lied about so many things and the story had so many other options to end with and the direction they chose was probably the worst. Ellie should have killed abby or she should have never left home. But that just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the things that ruined the so long awaited release of this game..

    One of the best games I've ever played. Just as good, if not, better than the first one. I hope all main characters return.

    the game is perfect from its soundtrack to its levels of detail is a 100/10 masterpiece the best game I have ever played for this game I bought the ps4 since I am an xbox user but my brother had the ps3 and the last of you original and I loved it and this much more I adore this game I just say give it a chance please

    Been waiting for this game for years and it surpassed all my expectations. My wife and I went through a rollercoaster of emotions all 20 hours of this game. Definitely recommend.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
