    This game is disgusting and really frustrating! It's not possible to make a piece of art and a piece of propaganda at the same time, that's the only achievement of it...
    I can't believe how they got rid of the main character of the first game in less than 2 hours, and 7 years for this, the game was carried away by the inclusion.

I mean the visuals and audio are definitely one the best ou there, but damn it is that much how u hate you're own characters? and what is wrong with the charcter design i couldn't assume the gender of pretty much half the characters involved in the storyline and especially abby!

I realized that I was deceived. the game is not worth the money. I have almost no gameplay, this was the most important aspect in my opinion. in general, this is an open hack from the developers. Abby is just one attempt to include a minority just because, and I don't have anything against the Trans community, but it seems that you didn't even had the first game as reference.     What people wanted about this game was the story of two of the most beloved characters in video games, their relation and the steaks they have to endure to survive, together or alone, and just introduce some person to hunt them down and kill them, and even worse, forced the players to play as him.
    I can't imagine how much you payed reviewers to leave a good one.

    Awful game, awful experience.

    The game kicks you in the genitals repeatedly, and gives little payoff. Perfect for Dark Souls fans that suck at the game or in other words total masochists.

I find it complete rubbish, everyone who qualifies the game as evil, homophobic haters, and hurt fans who believe this is a fantasy game, the game is so complex in the psychological part, shows the reality in the crap world we are, these people expected people, iconic characters to die Tony Stark, and sorry my skies so was not and so is not real life, hide in their absurd fantasies and their cheap policies, believing that the game would be a post-apocalyptic game as we have always seen this touches more the flesh and penetrates more the soul and shows reality not to a fantasy like all games that we are used to playing at the end of the world, although, it is a linear game gives the option to live and explore other things, transport us to a past and remember that affection father and daughter, and show more things and delve a little into an experience different from the others, as curious, the game there are also pieces of curious data, example when ellie goes to the museum there are historical and educational data and that details seemed interesting to me, because there is no lack of the rat child hurt by Joel's death and his homophobia that has not managed to capture the attention or did not notice, it helps to turn those kinds of people intellectual, those criticisms are those people who threw a lump of stone in their shoe, and cut off an arm and an eye so as not to persirvir any more Whatever the game is, and the experience, since the death of Joel, you get the feeling, you learn that every decision you make, has its consequence, now that maybe it had some fillings and characters with nothing to do with the main and emblematic characters, and a raw and dry death, as it is in reality, maybe that did lack strength, from Ellie we learn that the experiences that are learned from Pain are the ones that make us stronger, to one who does not get what is expected in the end, as to many grieved critics, who stigmatized the game in one way or another, as if they did not know what world we are standing in, the game touched reality and are always so accustomed to the same fantasy, of the were happy forever, many do not understand why the game goes beyond a fantasy. The other problem is the political agenda in this game. It’s cringy because it’s almost always a big red arrow screaming “ LOOK, WE HAVE DIVERSITY ! ”. It doesn’t feel natural at all, TLOU 1 was very good with it diversity. They were just survivors, not icons to represent one group that ND wanted to show.     Much has been said and written about The Last of Us Part II. The hate this game has received is totally misplaced. Sure, you may not like some of the twists and turns of the story (like I did) but that doesn't detract from the incredible quality of the game itself.

    Part 2 was better than its predecessor in almost all aspects. Part 1 remains my all time favorite because the development in the story and characters was more intimate. What I've really missed is more moments between Ellie and Joel. Which makes me look back with melancholy to part 1.

    Nevertheless, I have never played such an ambitious and realistic looking game with so much care in worldbuilding, level design, details and subtle way of storytelling. It was a mature, horrifying, harsh, exciting and beautiful experience.

    Part 1 was about finding the light and a reason to live. Part two was about seeking the darkness and a reason to kill. Both with hope towards the future. Both unique.

    After completing part II, I thought about the game and how the story fits together for days and everything fell in its place. If you pay attention to the little details it will give you the closure you need with a lovely and pure ending.

    Game was good starting off out as Ellie. Then that fken scene in the Mansion ruin everything I felt for the game. Took away feelings I grew for the first game. I hope everyone stands up and voices their frustration to Sony and Naughty Dog. Pushing their ideas on to others. We want to enjoy a game. Not be upset towards the makers of it. Just very upsetting.

You as the Player are literally Held down and Beaten/Tortured, and you get NOTHING in the way of Revenge. they Raked the first games name over the coals for THIS!? If i could meet the "Director" of this game in Person id do to him what "Abby" did to Joel. If Ghost of Tsushima isn't FANTASTIC, the PS4 (And 5) are in deep trouble.

The Last of Us Part 1's story was arguably a masterpiece, but this game is filled with a clear agenda to pander to the LGBT community. We get it... Elle's a lesbian, but we don't have to be reminded of it every other minute. Serious plot holes in this game. The gameplay is good but the story is boring. For the most part, you're just walking around finding supplies waiting for the next cut scene. And the way they killed off Joel early on in the game is ridiculous and to make us play as the character that killed him off was absolutely disrespectful.

    A great story is what makes or breaks a game...and I put more weight on the story verses graphics because good quality graphics should be the standard...I'm giving this game rating a 1 because of the graphics and gameplay.     Such a wonderful game with a good graphic and story. the gameplay gets a pretty drastic improvement from the first part, and also the detail of the game was amazing.
    Good job Naughty Dog! looking forward for multiplayer mode and part 3.

From the voice acting and character models all the way down to the lamp on the table everything is masterfully done. The combat is good enough to carry you through a great story except there isn't a great story.     TLOU part 2 is a masterpiece. it will hit you with emotions if you let the story take you on this roller coaster, it has a unique and brutal story line you won't see a lot in games or even other mediums the story does not care about your desires and thoughts so you have to let it take you on this ride, which makes this game so divisive but nonetheless this is a piece of art

    I can't believe Druckman self-inserted into the game for a sex scene with an imaginary character. I'm still **** laughing.

    Really glad I bought my ps4 for persona instead of this.

    I regret not reading the spoilers for the game because I would have canceled my preorder of the collector's edition. After the first 2 hours, the rest is so predictable. Really great graphics and sound don't make up for where they decided to go with the story, which is the whole selling point of The Last of Us.     The first The Last Of Us was amazing, very good, but this one, really bugged, frame drop a lot, I felt like my PS4 Pro could fly anytime. But the worst was the I felt the history very short, much more about being a leftist propaganda than an post-apocalyptic game background like the first one.

    There’s been a lot of controversy regarding the whole gender perspective, specifically regarding a particular character you meet throughout the game. Abby is also built like a unit so, there’s speculation that she was designed with a gender bias (I’m not one hundred percent sure).

    People who don’t like the gender movement in the game have been seen as phobic but, that’s not necessarily the case. The game is based in an apocalypse, so people are unsure why gender is even a ‘thing’ in the game.

    However, people are more pissed off (including myself) as Naughty Dog seemed to have used Joel as leverage regarding the TLOU2 trailers, when in reality, Joel plays a very small part of the game. This is why people are so annoyed because, it seems that there has been a deliberate intention to destroy this whole ‘toxic male masculinity’ (mentality that men are supposed to have), by making Abby built like a heavyweight bodybuilder, and other aspects of the gender equality movement, specifically regarding a particular character in the game, and how Joel was killed by Abby earlier on in the game.

    The whole reason why people loved the original TLOU was based on the narrative between Joel and Ellie, and their father daughter relationship. TLOU2 rips that perception apart, totally and deliberately.

    Personally, I thought the game was okay but, I was not emotionally captivated as I was when I played the original. I felt the soundtrack and narrative was just up in the air, as you play Ellie and Abby throughout the game; Abby’s play through feels like a glorified side quest as she has no motives - her motive was achieved at the very beginning of the game which created an anticlimactic play through.

    The characters you meet in the game are also very hard to like. Not that they’re ‘bad’ or anything but, I just felt the game design didn’t allow anyone to really attach to anyone. In the original, you meet Bill and I loved him because he was funny, moody, angry, sarcastic - there was so much substance to his character - this isn’t the case in TLOU2, unfortunately.

    If you loved the original based on the narrative and bond between Ellie and Joel, then there’s a good chance you may not like this game.

    The game is excellent in terms of build quality and graphically but, TLOU was built on the companionship between Joel & Ellie and their journey together.

    This game is just a game without a great plot. Although it’s a good game, I got to a point where I just wanted to complete it to see if the ending would have made me feel, as the original did. Unfortunately, the ending did nothing for me, at all.

    My score is 3/10. This is a The Last of Us game but, it felt like a completely different franchise. I also felt that the game was deliberately designed for a particular movement, disregarding the fan base of the original.    … Expand

    I went in this game blind and with high expectations as I have been waiting for over 7 years for this. Although the game is very well crafted the narrative felt a bit forced and unnecessarily long. I personally did not enjoy the story and at times I just wanted it to be over.     Which makes the following even harder to write.
    The story is NOT. They tried very hard to make you feel bad at every step. From the ruining of beloved characters, both physically (Joel) and as a character assassination (Ellie), to simple things like the killing of dogs in a very graphical way. I get what they tried to do but failing to make the new characters relatable the whole story flops in a major way. Maybe the problem was that the actions of Joel at the end of the first game were already morally dubious and there was really no shock value. Maybe the problem was that the script team misunderstood the problem completely - we kill a lot of people in games this has no shock value at all for the player.
    The real problem there was - maybe I ruined the chances of humanity for a cure.
    Not that I killed a few nameless characters that tried to vivisect Ellie. Nobody really had a problem with that. So Abby starts on the wrong foot and never manages to recover.
    To summarise - you destroy the old characters, you fail to make new ones and you very very hard try to make the player feel bad about actions that he has no influence over - you don't have a choice NOT to kill all of those people.
    Now how is that 10 out of 10? The majority of the players will have trouble finishing this game and why would they.
    For me, this game represents a betrayal of all fans and betrayal of one of the best if not the best teams in the history of the industry. 7 years of work for them are wasted. Their image will never be the same.    … Expand

Also it propagand vilence and chauvinist (thats why 1 score). Main charackter enjoy killing people and dogs (!!!). It is unopropriate and disgusting. Who wrote this just a psychopate.

Naughty dog clearly has philosophy for this game make it as sappy and emotional as possible to draw a reaction but take a back seat and look how cheap the story (and game play) really is.

Between that, the close up camera and 20-30 FPS this game doesn't feel fun to play. I didn't have this problem with RE2, but maybe because it was 60FPS on PC, not sure. After seeing all the review sites and shows giving this game awards, I finally decided to pick it up on the ps4. What a big mistake and waste of money that was...... I was expecting some amazing storyline with amazing gameplay but that is not what this game is at all.

    The Last of Us II can be summed as 7 years of disappointment. The game leaves you hollow from the beginning to the end with its pathetic excuse of a plot.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is a terrible sequel. It is riddled with plot holes, most notably in one of the biggest moments of the game, Joel's death. If you are going to kill Joel off in such a controversial fashion, the very least you can do is explain it well. it is lazy. The game is also structured awfully, they waste about 6 or 7 hours on flashbacks for Abby, clearly trying to flesh out characters like Owen, Mel, Manny, etc, but it doesn't do anything because they were killed hours ago, nobody cares about them anymore and the death doesn't have anywhere near the impact it could have had. It doesn't do anything for Abby either, because she has already killed Joel and fans have made up their minds about her. It doesn't help that these flashbacks are repetitive and boring. Also, so many of these characters that are killed are never mentioned again after their deaths, how are we supposed to care about them if the writers and the other characters don't care about them?

    Abby, the character they make us play as for half the game, is a horrible person. She brutally and mercilessly kills Joel despite the fact he just saved her life, there's no inner conflict, she is so one-dimensional. She takes pleasure at the prospect of killing Dina, who she knows is pregnant. She sleeps with Owen knowing his wife is due a baby soon. And this is the character they make us play as? This is the character they make us fight Ellie as? Who made that horrible decision? Who wants to play as a character you despise, where is the motivation to keep playing? Despite that, they still try to make Ellie out to be the bad guy. Abby pets dogs and is kind to them, compared to Ellie who is forced to kill dogs and you can clearly hear them in pain, Ellie kills a pregnant woman, Ellie murders people whilst they loved ones mourn and cry. Compared to Abby, who has to defend herself against evil transphobic jungle people, Abby, who saves kids. it is so cheap and manipulative. Speaking of cheap and manipulative, the false advertising in the trailers is so scummy.

    The game tells this generic story of revenge and how bad it is. It has been done so many times before and been done far better. Revenge only seems bad when it comes to Ellie though, Abby seems to have no problem taking revenge, because she is one-dimensional and badly written She is the person who takes revenge, but she is also the one who walks away with a loved one. Makes no sense. Many of the major plot points are also badly written, and don't make sense.

    Ellie is just straight up cruel to Joel. She used to understand people, she understood emotions, she understood Joel. So why does she not realise why Joel saved her? She knows how much Sarah meant to Joel, Joel does not want to go through that again, he doesn’t want to lose another daughter. All those years of protecting Ellie, thrown out of the window because Joel didn’t want to lose her. Because Joel gave her a choice of life or death, and Ellie doesn’t like that. The writers don’t seem to understand the first game at all, they don’t understand what made it compelling.

    The gameplay is fine, although they don't significantly change anything from the first game, the visuals are great, but that is not what I play TLOU for, I play it for the story, and the story could not have been worse. This sequel should never have been made. What a disappointment.    … Expand

    Worst experience i've ever had in gaming, they really couldn't have come out with a worse story for the sequel. Whoever wrote the story should be fired, totally ruined one of the best franchises in gaming.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
