    Please don't let the negative reviews put you off, don't deny yourself this utterly jaw dropping game.

    After reading some spoilers from the leak before release, I wasn't even going to buy the game. I read reviews from people who couldn't have finished the game, there were 100's of them all before 12 hrs after release.     I read reviews from people who couldn't have finished the game, there were 100's of them all before 12 hrs after release.

    All I can say is people are dicks, this is a game of a generation, what Naughty Dog have done with the ps4 hardware is nothing short of magnificent, it is one of the best looking games ever produced on any platform.

    I am a pc gamer with an rtx 2080ti and have seen nothing like the quality of this, how it has been done I have no idea.

    If you liked the last of us, you will love this.

    People have picked holes in the story, review bombed it, made it sound like it's a woke, transgender fan film.
    The story is deep, thrilling and engaging and none of the above. it's smart, slick and thought provoking just like the original.
    I can't tell how much you need to play this game, if you haven't already.
    I think it would be impossible to get the same reaction as the first game as it was so original and caught many, including myself unawares and blew us away.
    We all expected so much from Naughty Dog this time and they have not let us down.    … Expand

    Best game to date I loved it I didn’t like watching Joel die but I’ll take it I generally thought the game was great and they’ll never be a good story like it Naughty Dog did their thing and outperformed I appreciate everyone that was part of this games creation very beautiful.     This game is really good, it have a 10/10 gameplay and is beautiful to see, plus it has a great story 8,5/10, I played the first teh last of us and I was such a good game, and I love how they created not a Giant cliche, but created a new story and to compensate the fact that the game wasn't like the first one they added the flashback, this game is soo good, but you have to play with an open mind.

    10/10 game. Story is amazing, in a gut-wrenching way, like LoU1. Many VERY intense moments which will leave a lingering memory. Well worth the 60 dollars.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well, I finished it yesterday and I have to say that I loved it, very much, the end left me quite touched, it is quite hard. Those who say it is a happy ending, I honestly do not know where they see the happy. Ellie loses everything.
    The negative reviews are good, in all the games there are, but you don't have to take seriously that of the typical people who attack you for homosexuality, or for the fact that Joel dies and Abby ends the story alive. In fact, most of the negative reviews are from the 4 typical fools who have simply read the story without having played it.
    The story itself is very good, FOR ME, if you don't like it, it's your **** problem.
    I understand that Abby has hate, I also hated her at first and she is a difficult character to understand, but as you start playing with you you start to like her and get interested in her story and what happened in those 4 days in Seattle.

    This game is a masterpiece. Because of this game we get to feel how Joel's actions in the previous game affected the world and the lives of others. The game doesn't tell you the reasons why anything in it happens, but rather it shows it and makes you feel it, that is something else. No game has ever touched me more than this one.

    Spent 40 hours to finish this game, it has impressive graphic, outstanding gameplays and amazing animations. The story is controversial but I like it.

    Wonderful game from start to finish. No matter what people say that it is trash it is definitely not. Yes some things happened that sucked but that is why it's a game. It keeps you guessing and wanting more. I see nothing but game of the year in my opinion and thank you Naughty Dog. Job well done!!!

The game in its gameplay and the entire technical system is 10, in its history I loved it, not being afraid to kill its protagonist, putting yourself in the place of the "villain" and knowing his motives and life, for some moments I came to empathize with Abby, but always keeping in mind that she was Joel's murderer, it shows us that not because we love someone is she necessarily good, we love Joel and Ellie a lot, but being objective, they are bad people, Joel above all, demonstrating her selfishness above all and not respecting Ellie's decision, moved me a lot and made me feel very human… Expand

I had some of the plot points spoiled for me and came into it expecting one thing and was completely floored with what I experienced. When the final credits rolled I was speechless.     This is hands down my favourite experience of the PS4 generation. The game uses the incredibly important narrative decision made by the lead in the first game to create compelling analysis of morality. I laughed, cried and was shook to my core by this story.     I really can't wait for an inevitable TLOU 3 and hopefully the continuation/conclusion of Ellies journey. This game will live with me, inside my psyche for the rest of my life.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There is no other word to describe The Last of Us part 2 but masterpiece, this isn’t just a game it is an experience. I am a massive fan of the original and this sequel builds on every aspect of the original. The gameplay - Solid controls and character manoeuvrability, everything works as it should and no frustratingly awkward controls like some 3rd person games. All game mechanics are simply to learn and after a few minutes you will get the hang of them. Ellie can now swim, go prone and jump freely unlike the original game. My only gripe with the gameplay was the boating sections, the controls felt tight and these section albeit small felt tacked on but this is a minor gripe. The graphics- Easily the best this generation, the character models are amazing and you could remove the HUD and think it was a CG movie. The environments are beautifully dirty gritty and realistic. The game never stutters, never loads and the cutscenes blend into gameplay seamlessly. This game pushes the PS4 to its limits. The story - Here is were a lot of people drop off and start to hate on this game. Personally I really loved it, it was epic, massive and you really felt the slog that these characters go through over the course of the few days. All the characters were fully realised and their decisions IMO were justified and I really understood what the game developers were going for with this story. I think people forget that this is a post apocalyptic bleak world full of monsters, horrific people and dredd. How could anyone possibly be able to put themselves in the players shoes and criticise their decisions. Yes this story has LGBT elements and a very minor transgender diversion for one character but all in all it is handled well and fair play to Naughty Dog for adding this much diversity to such a AAA game title. The Good - - an amazing epic story that sucks you in and takes you on a journey with each of the characters. - beautifully fully realised world
    - stunning set pieces - game runs buttery smooth - percent controls The Bad -
    - the game does drag in a few sections - the game rushes a few parts to get you from A to B - Joel doesn’t get as much attention as he deserves.
    - very linear levels, they feel big but there isn’t much room to explore. The Ugly - - the last couple hours feel that they were slightly rushed as the first 90% of the game takes place over 3 days yet the last 10% takes place over 1-2 years yet is glazed over. In conclusion I think everyone should experience TLOU2 it is a superb title and a worthy sequel to the original. The developers took a chance with a bold story they could of easily if rehashed the first game and it would of still sold amazingly but they chose to give us something new.    … Expand

    The game was emotionally draining and several moments were hard to accept- but that isn’t to say they weren’t appropriate for the characters or bad writing. It was an enjoyable game and an engaging story. Highly recommend- don’t rush through it!

    In my eyes this game is a true masterpiece. I can understand how it divided the fan base but Jesus people don’t need to be toxic. I see people who dislike the game bashing it everywhere which is okay, but I feel like many of these people have not played the game. The spoilers prior to release unfairly potrayed content to the player in such a way that misrepresents the experience this game actually has to offer. After experiencing said events in the story the way they were meant to be I can truly say that not only does this game constitute a proper follow-up to the first game, it is an outstanding and masterfully crafted experience that is without a doubt among the masterpieces of this console generation alongside games like Red Dead Redemption II or The Witcher.

    I am truly glad that I didn't allow the hive mind hate for this game to keep me from one of the most precious gaming experiences I have ever had.    … Expand

This takes that world built in the original and tells a compelling and uncomfortable story about revenge. There are no good guys in this game. Everyone is compromised. I’ve never seen gore portrayed in gameplay this realistically. Every kill feels... Well, like you actually killed someone. Don’t listen to all of the hate from anonymous people online. Personnellement grâce à ce jeu je me suis remis en question sur des sujets tels que la vengeance ou la méchanceté et je suis toujours étonné qu’un jeu vidéo ait pu me faire ça. Naughty Dog n’a pas fait seulement un jeu vidéo c’est une leçon. Naughty Dog fait avancer le jeu vidéo et ne nous pond pas du fan service ce qui est bien mais aussi beaucoup critiqué alors que ce jeu a pour but d’être réaliste donc bon.     I have been a die hard fan of the Last of Us series and the love they put into Part II is apparent. The post-apocalyptic world that they create is diverse and the gameplay is undeniably fun. While this game puts your empathy and emotions to the test, it is beautiful realistic portrayal of the actual world we live in. I loved the characters and would love a part III.

Some people is just rating the game out of stupidity. There is no LGTB agenda ANYWHERE, we knew Ellie was gay from the first game and now she has a relationship which fits perfectly in whole vengance plot. Joel's death makes you feel angry and it fuels your feeling of vengance, and at the end you realize that Ellie is loosing everything and that Abby has lost everything too. Its not an easy story and that's why is beautiful, the fact that it doesn't give the player what they want doesnt make it a bad game, if you are angry because of that then you are an idiot. And you probably be better playing uncharted knowing that at the end everything is going to be fine. This is a game for grown ups.… Expand

    Yes, it's understandably divisive in terms of what the story takes you through. That sometimes changes over time and sometimes not at all. The game-play, combat, graphics, and scope have improved greatly. AI is not the smartest, however.

    I hope some of the gaps in the game's timeline can be played in a future title - there's still a lot of untouched potential based on the can that was opened up with this story. Don't miss this game; but also if you give it a go, try and play through to the ending. The gaming world needs more games of this caliber of immersion & story-telling.    … Expand

A number of such details are conveyed through minute dialogues, micro expressions, Ellie's journal logs (I'm not sure how many people actually read through the journal) etc. One also needs to read between the lines to fully understand the implication. As long as one notices these details, it's not that difficult to appreciate the story. Nevertheless, I'm not completely happy with the narrative because I'm afraid some of the key messages are too subtle to get across.
    Technical aspects such as graphics and physics, though not flawless, are definitely top-notch.
    In terms of gameplay, it depends on one's personal taste. As far as I'm concerned, I enjoyed the gameplay pretty well, even though it's not my favourite.
    It would be a pity to deprive oneself of the opportunity to enjoy a potentially good, if not great, game simply because of the review bomb against it, not to mention that many of the criticisms are groundless.
    In my opinion, PART II is a solid 8.5/10. Considering how biased its current score is, I'd like to give it 10/10.    … Expand

    Se ele morresse por uma pessoa qualquer ou um infectado, eu não acho que ela teria ido se vingar, SE, e SE mesmo, ele morresse antes de ficar doente e a Ellie cuidando dele no inverno no 1, acho que ali foi o ponto chave pra eles serem pai e filha realmente. Principalmente com o Joel se curando e indo atrás da Ellie que foi raptado por aquele maníaco (esqueci o nome do cara do inverno no 1).

    Pra mim, se sou o Joel, levaria a Ellie pro Tommy na 1° vez que chegaram em Jackson ainda no 1 e teria ficado com ela lá e fim do The Last 1. E isso pode não tá certo na cabeça de um monte gente por ela ser a cura, mas era o que eu faria se eu fosse o Joel, com a história de vida dele.

    Acho que foi muito bem roteirizado, talvez mudasse um pouco na morte do Joel ou A Ellie largar a nova vida dela com a Dina e o filho dela na fazenda que elas tanto queriam (Já teve a chance de matar a Abby, vai largar a vida tranquila só pra matar uma pessoa, esquece, acabou a chance). O Tommy tbm vim com a notícia de uma mulher na Califórnia e a Ellie ir largando tudo ... isso eu não gostei muito. Uma coisa ou outra, mas pra mim é um jogo épico que vai marcar história. Muitos se lembraram desse jogo por décadas.

    Acho que não tem nenhuma lacração nesse jogo. Eu acho totalmente normal a Ellie ser lésbica, a Dina ser Bi, a Ally ser toda musculosa e o Lev ser Lilly, mas ele achar que é Lev. O problema é as pessoas não acharem normal, porquê infelizmente a sociedade coloca ''padrões'', esteriótipos e quem é diferente desse padrão tá errado.
    É por causa desse pensamento que há muito bullyng e violência com quem não é hétero ''padrozinado''.
    Qual o problema em ser assim? Pra aqueles que se sentem menos homem por causa delas, tem que começar a rever seus conceitos.
    Muitas mulheres são assim como as 4 e com toda certeza a hora que explodir de verdade pra toda a humanidade a história desse jogo, elas se sentirão muito bem e felizes de FINALMENTE serem bem representadas e isso pra mim é muito importante. Por exemplo, eu sou um nerd e eu me sinto representado pelo o Homem Aranha, que é cara que não é musculoso, mas é um herói incrível, inteligente, que a mina se apaixona por ele ser um cara bom, inteligente, não por ele ser o herói que é (a Mary Jane). E isso é muito bom e importante pra mim, porquê tem muita gente que é valentão, que acha que sempre o fortão, ser o cara que sai pegando todas, que tem lábia, que se dá bem e tudo mais e isso não é verdade. Já peguei mina pra cacete, e só porquê sou um cara bom, legal e inteligente. Essa é a minha opinião.

    Se eu fosse a Ellie, percebendo que a vingança com a Abby não vale mais a pena, porquê ela pagou o preço com a morte do pai dela. E que isso gerou a morte do Jesse e a quase morte do Tommy, da Dina e do bebê dela. Depois de eu ter matado todos os amigos da Abby. Pra mim, não me faria ir atrás da Abby. Eu mesmo mandaria o Tommy ir embora, esquecer essa história e ter uma vida boa e normal com a minha esposa e filho.

    Enfim, o jogo é sobre pessoas e suas escolhas, teria algumas escolhas diferentes deles? Sim teria algumas diferente, e essas minhas escolhas gerariam outras consequências boas e ruins, como é na nossa vida. São essas escolhas de cada personagem que fazem você ficar bem imersivo, bem triste e chateado em alguns momentos com as situações e faz com que esse jogo seja incrível, único e marcante na história dos vídeo games.    … Expand

    This is truly the best game I've ever played. Anyone who is judging it so harshly clearly hasn't even given the game a chance and its clear to see by when majority of the reviews have been written.
    My advice, try the game for yourself and do not listen to negative reviews or you're going to miss out on an amazing game.
