Pero la mayoría de las quejas se centren en la muerte que le dieron a Joel, por una razón básica: el juego no es solo una situación, es una acumulación de momentos, sensaciones y acciones que dan un todo. Y que nadie sea capaz de ver más allá me asombra en cuanto a la poca crítica objetiva que hay al respecto (sobran los que se quejan de la muerte de Joel pero sobran aún más los que se quejan de la sexualidad de las personajes)

    Abby es una mujer que quería vengar no solo la muerte de su papá sino también reventar al tipo que dejó sin cura a la humanidad. No podés empatizar con ella? Perfecto, a mí es un personaje que no me gustó, no me identifiqué en ningún momento con ella, pero la clave no es amarla sino entenderla: qué haría uno en su lugar? Acaban de matar a tu papá cometiendo uno de los peores crímenes para la humanidad de paso, QUÉ HARÍAS? Yo te puedo asegurar que siendo Abby lo que le haría a Joel sería peor que lo que le hizo.

    Todos amamos a Joel, y a mí me quebró su muerte. Fue muy fuerte, pero ahí es donde empieza el verdadero argumento del juego: la venganza de uno se convierte en la venganza del otro, y así se crea un ciclo de violencia y muerte que no tiene fin. "Ojo por ojo quedaremos todos ciegos" dice un refrán, y acá quedó más que claro cuando al final Ellie queda completamente sola, Tommy está quebrado y completamente solo.

    No olvidemos que no es "The Last Of Us 2", sino que es "Parte 2". Qué significa eso? Que no es una secuela para ver cómo puede llegar a seguir la historia, sino que es la parte de una historia global que nos faltaba aprender, nos faltaba ver las consecuencias de lo que pasó y entender a su vez que lo que estamos haciendo ahora también tendrá consecuencias que en el caso de Ellie serán brutales, nada favorables.

    En fin: ojalá la crítica pudiera ser más global y reflexionar sobre los errores que cometió el juego.    … Expand

    The sequel to one of the PS3s last and biggest hits. TLOU2 hit us with a number of surprises that some people didn't react too well to. I felt the way the game weaved a narrative around these decisions, still made me care about these new characters, and engage with the storyline. Is it the best storyline ever told? Far from it. Some people don’t like the tone of the game and will give a zero without honestly reflecting on the other aspects of it that make it a spectacular experience. Collectibles, hidden areas, upgrading your weapons, one-off interactions with other characters, finding secret caches of supplies with notes adding backstory—all of these small things make the game worth playing on their own. The story is sad, and melancholy at times, but you know what else is sad? LIFE! It’s an honest reflection of truthful emotion that doesn’t accede to the typical glass half full view of most plots in games/film. I imagine many people reacted to the famously grim dystopian novel “1984” in the same way, before realizing it’s actually a bloody masterpiece. Regardless of how you feel about the plot, giving a work of art such as this a score of zero or one is insulting to the hundreds of creators who so obviously poured their passion into crafting a living, breathing world for us to enjoy. At face value it is a story motivated by revenge, but it unravels to be so much deeper and nuanced as you gain perspective on each character and see firsthand how their motives intertwine.     Easily one of the best if not the best told stories in video game history. I empathized with the characters on both sides of the story-something a binary good versus evil environment doesn't foster. Motion capture, dialogue, emotion, meticulously recreated setting, musical inclusion- in a word, "immersive."

    이런 우울한 스토리의 게임은 정말 신선했다. 이것때문에 연차써야하나 고민했을정도로 33시간동안 정말 몰입해서 즐겼다. 두 명의 주인공으로 플레이함으로써 1편에 비해 전투의 단조로움이 많이 개선되어 좋았고 좀비종류도 늘어나 일종의 보스몹이 등장한 점도 좋았다.

    I beat it and havent stopped thinking about it for 5 days. One of the most visceral experiences I've had with a tale in any medium. Gameplay is solid but not revolutionary. Environments, animation, design, music, acting, and overall presentation are as usual a new benchmark set by naughty dog.

Empecé queriendo matar a Abby y al final termine con un pensamiento completamente distinto. Los créditos rodaron y yo me quedé en un colapso mental de emociones fantásticas. Nunca un juego me hizo sentir tal cosa, y estoy orgulloso de ser fanático de Naugthy Dog porque siempre me dan juegos con una calidad maravillosa.
    Hablando de las malas críticas puedo decir que este juego es muy difícil de entender, tenés que saber interpretar, tener un poco de lectura. Si no te vas a quedar estancado en el odio porque mataron a Joel y no vas a poder ver más allá de eso. Otra cosa es que hay que entender que The last of us no es un Resident Evil, es un juego más realista, donde los personajes no le pasan 14.000 cosas y vive para contarlo, la muerte de Joel estuvo muy bien ejecutada, es algo que iba a pasar y por mi parte me esperaba que fuera de esa forma.    … Expand

    This game really pushes the PS4s abilities to the absolute limit. In short this game is a master piece. All of the negative reviews stem from weirdo sexist white country kids who live in their moms basement and have a hard time playing as a female.

The ending of the game makes you think about everything that happened in the game, during the credits the song Gustavo Santaolalla plays, and you understand that this is the end of Ellie's revenge.     The graphics of this game are astonishing. It blows out of the water anything else I've seen this console generation. From the eerie rooms full of spores to the beautiful open fields and mountains, the detail put into every single environment makes it feel so damn real and the immersion is never broken. This is impossible to really put into words, it just needs to be experienced.

    The gameplay is in many ways better than the original. The core experience of "explore, loot, combat, cinematic" is there, but it’s been taken to the next level to create these mini arcs that, combined with the scenery and the storyline, become very memorable. I praise the addition of the Lock-On Aim feature, being primarily a PC player, this made my experience much more enjoyable. Also, their difficulty settings are one of the best I’ve seen in any game, period. They allowed me to fine tune the experience to my liking: lots of ammo and resources, but extremely deadly enemies. Having the ability to balance the game to your liking is a HUGE PLUS.

    The amount of environmental puzzles may seem lacking at first. But it’s because the best puzzles in the game are optional. Instead of an obvious ladder or bin that needs to be moved around, a good portion of the puzzles are hidden behind the placement of enemies and the layout of the levels. But don’t fret, they kept a few ladders and bins here and there, it’s the Last of Us after all. Safe boxes are not awfully hard to solve, but each one of them bring a small nugget of storytelling that always feels fresh.

    The story of this game is what EVERYONE is complaining about. By the way, even if the story was complete garbage, I’d still give this game 9/10 just based on what I’ve mentioned before. I understand that this story is not for everyone, and I respect that, but for me, it was absolutely masterful. Throughout the entire game I FELT what Ellie felt and I also FELT what her enemies felt. This game grabbed me by the hand and started running at light speed and it trusted I could run along with it. It took me to emotional places that NO OTHER MEDIA has ever been able to show me. I praise Naughty Dog for their commitment to their characters and their passion for showing the world their vision. The Last of Us Part 2 is a story about FORGIVENESS, not REVENGE like everyone says. But that’s just my take on it, I’m no expert.

    Just because I’ve heard other people talking about this. I never felt any SJW or political agenda being pushed. Avenger’s Endgame girl power shot was waaaaaay worse than anything you’ll see in this game.

    This is my first review and probably the last one I'll ever write. The fact that I'm even writing this review means that I care enough to take the time to go through this. This score reflects my honest opinion of the game, and it would be a 10/10 even if the average user score was 10.0. For those who are ready to have an open mind and forget about all the BS around it, give this game a chance, it's worth every penny.    … Expand

But I think people were not ready at all for the story they got and I understand why they are maybe disapointed. If you expected a carbon copy of the first game, then don't even think about playing this game.

    They killed eveyone's favorite from the start and focused on the real goal of this game, to talk about vengeance! And, mid point, the story is switched to the "other point of vue"!!! This is where causual gamers got lost in translation. Naughty Dogs made us play the enemy! And tru ther story of Abby, we kind of see another world with the Seraphite and the WLF.

    But the beauty of the story is how the gameplay actually affect your idea of vengeance and how sensless all of this is becoming. And by the end, you are simply disguted by the excess of violence we are asked to be a part of and it does not make any sense anymore!    … Expand

This game has taken a very different approach to part 1 and I would be lying to say that I was not worried when I finally hit the start button on the PlayStation. The detail in the world naughty dog creates is really nothing short of spectacular. As the game unfolds, the characters and their stories that play out before you brings different perspectives to the unforgiving world you have been thrown into. Игра очень сильно понравилась, максимальная детализация, оч классный сюжет, вызывающий бурю эмоций, говорю как фанат первой части, прошедший ее как минимум 15 раз на PlayStation 3, и столько же на PlayStation 4, и выбил платину на первую часть как только эта игра появилась на PlayStation 4, прочитал кучу комиксов и фанфиков, и могу сказать что вторая часть очень качественно сделанная игра, но она не лучше чем первая, это точно. Но! Мне не понравилось то, что дают играть за убийцу джоэла, мне просто хотелось убить эбби, а не проникатся к этому персонажу, меня можно понять, ибо я 7 лет любил этого персонажа, а его так жестоко убивают, как фанату-это очень больно потерять любимый тандем, так ещё и отомстить нельзя-это обидно. эту игру перепроходить несколько раз невозможно, по крайней мере для меня-слишком уж тяжело смотреть на всю боль, которую испытывают мои любимые персонажи. It's probably the best story you'll ever see on a game. However, it is not for everybody. It's a really dark game, and it was meant to be like that. Naughty Dog clearly did not want to play it safe and went for something that was less appealing for some, but much more meaningful for the rest. I can see why some are mad about some of the major plot points, but just remember to keep and open mind. Focus on trying to feel what Ellie is feeling, instead of arguing about not liking what they did to a character. Enjoy the game!… Expand

    This is a 10/10 game in my opinion.
    I don't agree with the main arguments against it and I enjoyed the gameplay, the story and of course the graphics. An important thing to notice is that most of the negative reviews come from people that did not play the game, and to those that played it and still gave it a negative review I would say that it is still not reasonable,    No spoilers ahead.
    This is a 10/10 game in my opinion.

Graphics, action and storytelling were a great and bigger step from its predecessor. It's a dark and brutal game but beautiful at the same time. I can see why some people hate it because of the emotional attachment to certain characters in part 1 and how they were used in part 2. Despite the early heartbreaking moment that most wishes didn't happen. I thought it was necessary and having the ability to play both sides of the story to get the perspectives is what makes this game great. I hated Abby in the beginning and learned to love the character as I played throughout to which I had a hard time playing when coming to the confrontations between Ellie and Abby. This game is definitely worth the money and does not deserve the hate it's getting. However, I wished the game was even longer or had the multiplayer mode as it did in part 1. Excited for the direction it'll take in part 3 if ND decides to make a sequel.… Expand

    Not to much to say except that i loved it just as much as the first and love the direction they went in taking a huge gamble which i think payed off. This is tied for my favorite game series which is the mass effect series so if you haven't played it please do.

    This game is a masterpiece! If people can't understand what Naughty Dog is serving them on the table it's their fault, not the company's ( I am referring to the plot). I think it's unacceptable that people who haven't even played the game to rate it with a 0 or with a 3. Grow up. The game is for open minders, not for sheeps.

    This game is a masterpiece and an emotional rollercoaster. It capture the dark tone of this world perfectly and the oscar winning performances from the actors gives extreme depth to the characters. There is no hero in this nor a villain but all are survivors trying to look after their own. It's so much more than just the cycle of violence

I knew he was going to die (after everything he did in the first one YES he deserved it) But once i got into it DAMN the story was good. Make no mistake there are NO heroes in this game. This is a BLEAK story but if your able to get passed your personal bias and understand no one is the good guy in this game. You will enjoy it, the combat exploration, enemy AI and the expression of everyone face while they fought is just such a massive improvement over the first one. Give this game a fair chance knowing everyone is the villain in someones story and its great.

    Ill say i think the story would have been a bit better if it was not done in flash backs. Seeing Elie grow and her anger at Joel would have made his death less of a surprise for those coming into this game thinking Joel was the hero. I hope for some story DLC but i will say Just like the first game after you beat it once there is no real need to go back in.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really don't get all the bashing this game is getting, I loved the story from start to finish, and yes, I had read the leaks, and sure, some were true and some were not, I've got some points

    -First, Joel dying? Sure made me cry, but I don't think it was something wrong, I mean, it's a zombie-apocalypse world, people die eventually, death itself could be spontaneous, also, we all saw that coming.

    -Then, Abby, I really loved Abby, and i didn't thought i would, but the game has on emphazis on character development, Abby killed Joel because of a good reason ( at least from her point of view ), and was mature enough to learn from her mistakes, even faster than Ellie, I liked her character, and the game made me sad too as it gets you to learn and see everything from her point of view after we killed everyone important from her with Ellie.

    -Ellie, wel my girl, you can clearly see how she has to make terms with Joel's absence, her grief, her feelings to him ( wich she could never actually told him, as we cleary see that she feels him as a father, but doesn't have the guts to tell him ), and how she clearly gets blind by revenge, it's very human, I mean, I felt pretty connected to her thinking on those who I had griefed in my life, it's a pretty sad journey, and i liked it, also, I loved her relationship with Dina, our little Ellie is so mature!!!

    -And the ending, well I can see too why too many people is hating on it, Yeah, we made a long last trip to Santa Carolina just to kill Abby, Ellie even lost everything to Dina and JJ, but there's the catch, Ellie didn't had any more reasons to keep chasing Abby no more, I mean, poor Abby lost everything to Ellie too and still, prefered to just not kill her and Dina, she spared their lives, this, revenge cycle, hatred cycled or any name that you wanna give to, it's a common thread nowadays on media, and I'am not mad that Neil's chose it, as my old cowpoke said ´´Revenge is a fools game´´, and Ellie clearly had to pay for it, ultimately to spare Abby, as her last piece of humanity cames with an image of her loved Joel, I loved that, i felt so bad beating Abby up, I'm glad Ellie didn't became a total monster at the end because of her hatred.

    I loved the game, from start to finish, pretty emotional, pretty nostalgic, good story, gameplay is just what you would expect from the first one with few great additions ( being able to lean on the ground for example ), and, I really feel satisfied with it.

    I even have friends who used to bash the game because of that stupid snowball effect, and they changed their minds when they played it LOL.

    The last of Us part 2 being the biggest challenge naughty dog has had it is definitly a must play for the people who enjoyed the first game.
    Besides the Breathtaking gameplay and graphics that look stuning the story is the main foval point and the better.
    All do i can see why people would not enjoy this game no one can deny That the story is inovative and is amazing!

However, while playing this game you can feel that this game is 'good' to the core. TLOU 2 is next level in so many ways. If you do not have a PS4 yet, this game is reason enough to get one.     A great game, awesome revenge cycle story. Fun diverse game play. Awesome cast. Heart wrenching scenes and nail biting finale in which I had to pause multiple times before I could handle it ending. Which was a bit surprising and when I thought it would end another scene started.

    Completely recommend, but play part 1 first.

Incredible set pieces and boss fights, many of which will remind you of the best of the survival horror genre while standing head and shoulders above the rest. Much improved gameplay. The story is incredible, and the ending makes sense once you realize the only way Ellie can begin to forgive Joel is by ending the cycle of violence he and the Fireflies started. His death had to mean something different, as did Ellie's life. Characters are fantastic. Abby is great, and her entire arc makes sense once you understand her motivation. Joel was responsible for the deaths of millions. There are no heroes in this world, which is another theme that many missed. I cannot wait for the HBO show!… Expand

    最后艾比还是挺惨的，那么期待可以找到火萤，但是最后被欺骗了，连自己的伙伴都保护不了，至少当时乔尔还是保护到了艾力，自己活着也有意义了。艾比不但没有保护到，还坑了自己的同伴，那受到了应该有惩罚，我觉得这个比死还要痛苦。

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
