    The greatest game ever.

    Reading some reviews makes me feel people are either silly or just full of hate. Considering the message of the game itself, It's kind of symbolic. Feels better that people didn't like - that is in line with the story.

    Better than the first. Took everything from it and improved it. One of the boldest games I’ve ever played. Loved every second. Congrats to Neil and Naughty Dog and everyone else involved on this masterpiece.

И при этом понимаешь , что хотели донести до нас авторы игр ,,, что за месть плата велика и Мы сами смогли прочувствовать в игре что антагонистом вселеной оказалось сама Элли , а Эбби как протагонистом , из-за этого было жаль обе сторон , но за концовку рад что Элли пожалела Эбби.     the game got me. The atmosphere is thrilling. I love the relationship between Elli and Dina, especially the dialogs, they are so realistic and well written. i HATED the game when i was forced to leave Ellie and Dina behind and play Abby. I even stopped playing the game for a couple days. But when i continued, the game hooked me again. I am glad i finished it. I was emotionally involvedthe game got me. The atmosphere is thrilling. Having to play Abby, who shattered Joel's head while Ellie watched, filled me with disgust. However, when I continued playing two days later, I came to the conclusion that Naughty did an amazing job. They had succeeded in me hating a fictional character in a video game! I felt so sorry for the way Joel had to suffer in his final moments that Abby genuinely disgusted me. Naughty Dog chose not to create an average game about revenge, but had the guts to make the players think about difficult emotions and urges and the ways people can choose to act when filled with hatred towards another person. This is truly a worthy successor to the first part and I'm really happy for Ellie to have found such deep live with Dina and JJ. I hope there will eventually be a third part, because the end of par two left me heartbroken.… Expand

The game has you playing as the villain for half of it, allowing you to see things from their perspective. I found the writing to be so good, it had me questioning what I thought was right and wrong. This game serves its purpose tenfold focusing primarily on Ellie. It’s also a huge step in the right direction that a mainstream game is going all in on inclusion.     I finished it and plan to play it many times again just like I did with the first part and the DLC Left Behind ..

    I've read the negative reviews and I saw that many either didn't understood Ellie's sexual orientation from the first part or didn't play it at all, others have mentioned that Naughty Dog has an agenda and they imposed it in the game .. come on .. this game is about having an agenda, there are other games made just for fun you can go and play it like Super Mario Odyssey and it us super great .. TLOU1 and 2 both have agendas if you didn't notice .. you have the right to disagree with it but don't deceive others and say that it deserves 0!!

    All reviews were based on the leaks or the first couple of hours of the game which has a shocking event that make the game make sense imo and even the ending I saw it perfect and it fits Ellie's character 100%

    On the other hand the game's gameplay is amazing and very enjoyable, very few commented on the gameplay which is 80% of the game and I really wished it didn't end, and I'd like to play more.

    Play it .. think deeply about it, and don't judge it from only a reaction to one event or one idea ..    … Expand

    After finishing the game twice, I only can say that this is one of the best games that I've ever played. Maybe the narrative is not as iconic as the first one, but it's also very good written. The graphics are the best of the generation, very good soundtrack from Gustavo Santaolalla, quick and intense gameplay... I loved it, from beggining to end.

    This was an amazing game with an unpredictable and challenging story. More of the gameplay I loved from the first game, but refined and perfected. Beautiful graphics that take full advantage of the PS4's hardware. Exciting, emotional, and provocative. Do not listen to crybabies on the internet, try the game out for yourself.

    Beautiful in both story and visuals, The Last of Us Part II is a triumph. Excellent writing, acting and characters. Couldn't be more happy with this game honestly, contains some of my favourite moments I've seen in any form of media. You have to play it yourself to fully understand the impact and intent of the story it's trying to tell.

For haters...The only reason people are so in love with Ellie and Joel is because we were forced to become emotionally attached to them in the first game. Imagine if in Part 1 we were playing Abby and her father. The object of the game was to survive and create a cure. You spend hours getting to know them and seeing the love between father and daughter. Then, OMG you find out there's a girl who's immune and that may be your only hope of saving everybody. But there's a cost, extract what you need from her brain will kill her. Moral dilemma...you ultimately decide the needs of the many out way the needs of the few...or the ONE. Abby and her father fought through unspeakable horrors to make it to the hospital and they have the girl. They have no idea who Joel is, then right before you're about to perform the surgery a guy busts in and murders you. Abby later sees her beloved father, savior of humanity, brutally murdered by some monster. HOW DOES PART II LOOK NOW?… Expand

    This is perhaps the greatest story game of all time. Stick through the 30 hours and if you don’t come with pre-judged negative feelings then you will enjoy a type of game that doesn’t come around very often that it’s to be cherished. Only negative thing for me is, you only get to experience the game once.

Lo que pienso es ,en el juego no hay nadie bueno y nadie malo mas bien son "bandos" el de abby y el de ellie , y la verdad creo que la que esta mal es ellie entiendo que mataron a joel pero fue porque a abby joel le mato su papa , a esto todabia deja vivir a ellie pero ellie no aguanta y mata a los amigos de abby como vengansa todavia de nuevo al final del juego abby deja vivir a ellie y a dina y si lo tenemos que traducir en el bueno y el malo creo que el malo seria joel al no dejar que haya una cura y los buenos los "luciernagas" al intentar crear una cura. Pero la verdad creo que todos deberiamos estar en un punto neutral en donde no le vayamos a nadie haci entenderiamos mejor la historia y el porque de todo lo que sucedio… Expand

    It was always going to be a tough job to follow up the masterpiece that is the original but once again NaughtyDog have pulled it out of the bag. It's a darker, messier story than it's predecessor but a masterclass in it's own right.

    The game is longer than the original and there are some pacing issues but this isn't severe enough to detract from the experience.     So many user reviews i've read seem to misunderstand the central themes of this game. On the surface it's a simple revenge story, much in the same way that the first game was a simple get from point A to point B story, but like the first game it is elevated by the engrossing character development. Perspective is a central theme here.

    I'd advise anyone reading this to ignore people review bombing this game. It's abundantly clear that said people haven't played enough truly terrible games.    … Expand

I started with so much anger, hatred, and sadness, and throughout the story those feelings are shifted, and subverted. I’ve questioned the bonds I’ve made, and questioned the decisions I’ll make. The bold “in your face” story this game tells, is an experience like none other. I never felt good playing this game, the mood was always dark, and treacherous, with small glimpses of light, only to be darkened again. For some, this story may be to deep and dark, for me the story deserves a 10/10. For gameplay I played on hard and enjoyed my experience, I will note that the infected could’ve been more terrifying as I felt the A.I. was a little dull, until fully active, then they were a force to be reckoned with. The human A.I. however were totally unpredictable and save scumming yielded different results. They almost felt real, calling out names of friends when killed, I felt more immersed and excited when I encountered the human A.I. Now the puzzles were super easy for me and gave me no sense of accomplishment, until the ropes came into play, still easy, it felt like a new experience and it was fun! You’ll be searching and scavenging big open maps, and small narrow laid out areas, I loved the level design, even the small blocked off areas felt natural, and stunning. Also this game has so many settings and accessibility options it sets a new bar for accessibility! For the gameplay I’ll give it a 9/10 as I felt the infected weren’t as menacing as the humans in the game, they felt predictable and all the glass and debris on the ground should’ve alarmed those close to me, but that may be nitpicking! Overall the gameplay and the experience I felt from this story is a solid 10/10! And I feel like the true fans will appreciate and be blown away by this title!… Expand

    I don't usually do any of this but this game deserves it.
    This was the best game I have ever played in my life. It was a mixture of emotions, it's like a bomb, you don't know if you're going to laugh, cry, jump in fright, if you're going to scream, anyway.
    Yes, the game is strong. Yes, the game is not for everyone. But I assure you that as soon as you understand the story and message of this game, you will love it as much as I do.
    The last of us part II is a masterpiece. The game starts in a quiet village, with patrols etc. One day jackson has a terrible event. The joel dies in an unbelievable way .. I have not yet overcome his death .. Ellie goes after revenge for his death, goes after whoever killed him. And I love that @naughty_dog_inc is able to get you attached to ellie.
    I cried with her so many times during the game. The naughty dog ​​made me stop the game because I was afraid to kill her (ellie) (whoever played knows what I'm talking about)
    This game makes you feel what the character (be it ellie, be another character) is feeling and this is the best I've ever seen.

Many of the user reviews were published without completing or even playing the game. The Last of Us part II is a worthy successor to the first game! The story is very emotionally heavy but it is handled masterfully. All the time and effort that Naughty Dog has put into this game is very apparent. Just like the first game, TLOU2 is the best looking game of this console generation. This is the first game that made me use the screenshot feature on my PS4 just because of how many beautiful scenes and vistas this game is packed with! Aside from how beautiful this game looks, the gameplay is also insanely polished and fun! There is a new level of verticality added to encounters that were borrowed from uncharted 4, and man does it allow for some high adrenaline skirmishes! Ellie is very fun to control and though she’s no powerhouse like Joel, who was able to overpower his foes due to his old man strength, her movements are very fluid and her survival skills show just how much she has grown since the first game! ***!SPOILER!***
    In the world of The Last of Us, every action has repercussions and consequences. Though Joel’s actions at the end of the first game were done to save the life of the person he cared for more than anyone, these same actions also destroyed the life of someone else. When Abby takes revenge on Joel, she only sees him as a monster who deserved to die. She was so focused on getting revenge that she didn’t care about any of the ramifications and then Ellie is placed in the same situation when she seeks revenge on Abby. Both of these characters are fueled by vengeance over a lost loved one and it hurts, and even kills, all those around them. By the end of the game they have both lost so much because of their journey for revenge and if Ellie would have followed through then she would have become just like the monster we thought Abby was at the beginning of the game and this cycle of vengeance would have only continued. The only way Ellie was able to forgive Abby was because of her relationship with Joel. Seconds before she was about to kill Abby, Ellie remembers her final words to Joel in the conversation where she forgave him for what he did at the end of part 1. She knew that Joel wouldn’t want to see her this consumed by hate. This may not have been the story that everyone wanted but the Last of Us isn’t scared to be a grounded experience where we can lose people close to us in a matter of seconds. Just like in real life, no matter how you want things to go you can never control the future, but you can learn from experiences in the past and that is exactly what Ellie learns by the end of the game. Losing Joel felt like losing a father figure from our lives but that’s a real world experience that most of us will eventually go through.     I absolutely love this game! It is absolutely gorgeous and very well made story/gameplay wise. Despite a lot of people being negative about it is really worth playing! I didn't agree with EVERYTHING that happens in the story but who does? ;) The story is really emotional and very much worth it

I understand that it has a pretty dark story but thats what makes the game so different, the fact that you dont even have the option to change it and in order to finish it you have to play it in their own terms. Thats why so many people rated it like the worst game ever, because it didnt fit so well with their point of view and they wanted to get a happy ending. What they didnt understand is that not all stories have a good ending. Don't get me wrong, the game has its great moments, tension, suspense, horror and lost if action. The decision to get rid of one of the main characters so early in the game I believe is wrong. Anyway is enjoyable and a little bit too long but is still solid game, graphics are amazing. There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said about the graphics, gameplay, writing, etc. TLOU 2 is a huge strive forward for single player narrative driven games. It requires patience, thought, and an open mind. What's most confusing is the review bombing. One would think that if people actually cared about TLOU, its characters, its lore, and the world of TLOU, they would have the decency to finish the game before spewing vitriol across the internet. Do I think everyone should agree that the game is a 10/10? Certainly not. If you finished it and still think it's terrible, I completely respect your opinion. We are used to killing so many enemies time and time and it has been so long since I actually felt bad for doing it. Damn even the ending was a crazy hell of a roller coaster. Obviously Abby's story was not that emotionally catching, but hey she just appeared on this game so the attachment to her character was not that deep, and she barely had her portion of game compared to Ellie's.
    If you haven't played it and just went into the hate wagon just go cry somewhere else and come back once you've completed the story, this game was a masterpiece for me and on my way to platinum the sh*t out of it.
    The gameplay was somewhat improved from the original, but the formula was great on the first one so obviously it was going to stay as true to TLOU as possible. The crafting and skill tree was amazing and finding resource felt so much scarce that what I remember from the first one.
    The way they definitely handled the jumpscares was amazing and I did jump in more than one occasion, specially the way the stalkers are implemented. Damn the first encounter gave me the creeps.
    I also don't understand WTF is up with the whole Ellie's lesbian hate, if you played the first one DLC you should have known this by now.
    Now the details on this ame were next level, the whole rope physics, the characters, enemies, environment, music, Holy F*ck was the amount of detail put on the game was crazy.

    In technical aspects I think that it is not necessary to say much, the game enters through the eyes in a phenomenal way and although the first thing we can think about is, if the game has good narrative and good mechanics, the graphics are not important! but, in this case, they are! Each place tells a story that thanks to the visual quality of the game becomes more interesting. There are scenarios that are nice to visit for the simple fact of how they look. The facial expressions of the characters, the animations, the enemies, the zombies absolutely everything has a sickly level of detail.

    Another aspect to highlight is the sound. The music accompanies each scene in an incredible way and the ambient sounds and the characters are taken care of in detail so as not to be out of tune with the climate of tension or tranquility in which we are.

    There are no direct comparisons for this game so it is impossible to measure it comparatively with others and it is precisely this that makes the score of this analysis a 10.

    As an extra I think it is necessary to say that the personal aspects of the characters (such as gender) do not appear fiercely, this has a small background, and although in the audiovisual industry there are examples of the use of these themes to simply earn money with what It is on everyone's lips, this is not the case, the narrative is well cared for so that does not happen.    … Expand

Much of this games controversy comes from a moment that happens early on, and whilst many may feel angry or confused with the devs decision, please carry on playing as all the questions you may have are answered perfectly through the course of the game. I am so glad that developers Naughty Dog chose not to play it safe and rehash the story from the first game and instead tell a story that they wanted to tell, a superb one at that. Obviously, too many snowflakes don't like this approach (the same people that complain when other developers or filmmakers don't come up with original ideas may I add) and would much rather have more of the same. Too me, this game is a must-play. It will make you laugh, cry, angry and sad but also will make feel satisfied in the end. It's visually stunning and plays like a dream. The characters are complex and written in a way that will question if they are really the good or bad of the story is. Make your own opinions people, don't listen too others especially in the type of society we live in where the world is overrun with too many entitled dicks. Play this game, if you don't like it fine but at least you gave it a try but if you do I'm sure you will have the same love that I and many others have for this masterpiece. 10/10, 5 stars, 100%. Joel knew he was a terrible human being in the past and murdered dozens of innocent people along with other evil people. He knew it was a long time coming. Abby is the female version of Joel. She has also killed ruthlessly with no remorse. This game is about ELLIE, ABBY and JOEL and there personal journey of losing everything they love because of their blind rage. This story was used to show us the cycle of violence and how it can literally tear entire societies and families apart. 10/10 for this game. I wish I got to experience Joel and Ellie’s tight relationship on ONE MORE journey though. :,( THANK YOU NEIL, TROY, ASHLEY and NAUGHTY DOG for this MASTERPIEVE… Expand

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
