    Amazing game. From the story, sound and graphics. GOTY candidate, hands down. Amazing job Naughty Dog. Don't listen to the whiny b itch es jumping on the hate wagon, thinking that they're so cool. If they want a happy and sunshine story well they should just stick to Dora the Explorer games.

    This game is truly amazing just like the first one. It got spectacular awards and reviews by professionals.     #LastOfUsPartII is honestly a masterpiece. I was expecting the absolute worse from the pointless reviews but it went beyond any expectation. Did it break my heart, make me uncomfortable, angry, sad etc? Yes. That’s why it’s an experience. Creators aren’t meant to necessarily please us and give us what we want.     Fantastic game. Worthy of the praise from critics. It's story line is ballsy but deep and reflective. After the dumb fanboy hate dies down it will be remember very fondly in the future. It's basically gamings own Godfather Part II.

    I’ve seen and read a lot of reactions for this game and boy howdy, are they radically split. You are either going to hate this game or love this game. Probably because the story is charged with so many different and sometimes conflicting emotions. I loved it, I’ve never experienced the level of emotional attachment to a video game character before. For a lot of people it may even be a little bit uncomfortable at times but that’s by design and you come out at the end having learned some pretty big life lessons. Then there’s the setting which is the same setting we fell in love with in the first game mixed with a much more polished gameplay system and some impressive, next-gen style character animations and rendered environments makes you to keep wanting to go back in and experience the amazing game again and again.     Just finished my first play through and I absolutely loved it. Fantastic performances, heart breaking, gut wrenching moments, an incredibly beautiful soundtrack. Top notch game, I'm also really, really, rrrreeeeeallly enjoying watching all the homophobes have a butthurt melt down. Haha.

Ok I watch a lot of critics saying that play with the character that kills “you know who” its detestable but it’s really a need of the game at least me, when Abby is kicking in the ass Ellie I felt bad (obviously) but then when Ellie is kicking and almost killing Abby I also feel bad because know we know the reasons why she killed “you know who” and we see how she also has lost people at cause of Ellie and if you see Ellie killed more people than Abby. Also it’s almost the same story of the las of us part 1 you go through half of U.S.A for nothing at the end. Abby is a big character, at the end we know what she’s been through and how that affect her. Yes of course we love Ellie because we’ve been with her since first game but Abby have a lot of history at first obviously I hate her with all my soul but at the end I didn’t want her to suffer. I think this game have a great end, a great history, great graphics, it’s great in everything, my score is a 11/10… Expand

    The game is gut wrenching and emotional and utterly beautiful. I love how the plot encourages the player to empathize with both Ellie and Abby, both characters mission and motives are legitimate and the first playthrough was a rough and emotional experience

    Beatiful Game, not the most original story but with a deep meaning, grey morality and perfectly executed, with allegorys and cycles starting and ending, it's going to be talked about for years to come, 10/10.

    This game is a masterpiece! It has a great message about moral and ethics facts we all human being need to understand in our real life.

    Great performances great story !
    And the best thing is that it's not a fan service that's why most of dumb players who doesn't understand their own life won't understand the game!
    Can't wait for part 3! You guys have lot of material there !

    The story is violent and controversial in the vein of The Nightingale (2018) as tense as Uncut Gems (2019) and as bittersweet as the first Last of Us. Though it does stumble a bit when it comes to pacing (especially half-way through the game) but the momentum that was broken is masterfully brought back, building to a tense climax, aftermath, and emotional and reflective resolution.

    Along with my complaints with the glaring break in momentum, the game, at some points, felt needlessly long. Certain events could have been shortened to allow for a better flow of the story. However, that was not too bothersome. The marketing did feel misleading in that the audience expected major plot points that did not end up happening. However, misleading marketing is what Hollywood does so often, that it's somewhat of a given when it comes to AAA games and blockbuster movies.

    Needless to say, the game is 100% worth your time and money.    … Expand

    If there is no the last of us Part 1, this game's score would have been higher than 8.0. People giving it 0 is because they didn't like the story as much as TLOU1, which is a bias. i am okay with the story based on revenge, a lot of game/drama/series did that, it's nothing wrong with that. You don't like the story doesn't make it a bad game, it just disappoint you based on the high expectation you have.

    I absolutely loved the original game, and had been looking forward to this game for a number of years, it exceeded my expectations in every way.

    Visually, the game is stunning. The mechanics are great and simple, and don't disrupt the flow of the gameplay, which is great considering the cinematic nature of the game. To the Naughty Dog team — you’ve done a wonderful job with this game. Don’t let these naysayers tell you otherwise. This is a masterpiece of a video game and it will ultimately be remembered as that.

    For those of you who are too close-minded to comprehend the complexity of moral relativity, or too insecure about your sexuality to accept, without judgement, the sexual preference of another human being, you still have a lot of growth to do. You should put more effort into progressing as a human and less effort into criticizing the hard work of people who obviously have accomplished, both professionally and personally, more than you.

This game gets a lot of hate but I truly found this to be a great sequel to arguably the greatest game of all time. Is it The Last of Us part 1? No. But holding it to that standard sets a bar that is unfair to the game and all who play it. This game was visually stunning and the amount of details that went into it deserve the highest praise. They also significantly improved the combat mechanics and allows the game to feel fresh and new. Overall if you're debating on whether or not you want to buy this game I say you absolutely should.     I see a lot of people getting upset about how and when Joel died. Was Joel a hardened survivalist? Yes. However him and Tommy made a split second decision to save Abby from that horde. I hear people saying "Joel would never trust people that easily" but in the first game he did that. Remember Henry and Sam? Unfortunately this time the people he trusted backfired. As for him dying so early on I get the game leading up made it seem as if he was a significant part I'll give you that. But this game wasn't/isn't about Joel. This is Ellie's game and about her need for revenge opposite from Abby's. You we're supposed to feel upset about Joel. His death was supposed to try and get you to feel as if you were Ellie and I think that was accomplished.    … Expand

There are a lot of issues that could be addressed but do not subtract from the overall experience. Com gráficos de cair o queixo, uma história envolvente e personagens carísmaticos, The Last of Us Parte 2 se torna um dos melhores jogos da história e o melhor jogo de 2020, parabéns Naughty Dog, parabéns.

Its message was NOT that violence was bad. At least, that's not what I walked away feeling. I walked away with the sense that violence was pointless. Through all the killing from both sides in the game, nothing was accomplished and no one felt like "The good guy" anymore. Of course as Naughty Dog has made us expect, the graphics and sound design were top notch. Many people are criticizing the way a beloved character was taken from us early. This is a real world where things happen realistically and painfully, and while it hurt us to see, it was a great driving, motivating force to play. This game got across every message and every point it wanted to exactly how it wanted to. If people are so blinded by what they think the game is about, that they want a different ending, that's their fault This is a story about Ellie. About what Ellie feels and does, and she goes through so much, and sees so much, and makes the decision many of us would. Get over it.… Expand

But never ever with a game... Until I played The Last of Us Part II. For the first time I left the game feeling I just experienced something that was bigger than me.

    The game-play, graphics, and all that jazz is obviously great. That it's a work of love is clearly evident in its focus on detail. But that's not the source of my experience.

    The source of my experience is in the story. So beautifully tragic, so sad, so bittersweet. I don't think a shooter game has ever been so explicit and clear on the consequences of violence. The game goes to pains to make it clear that the people you're killing, even the ones robbed of their humanity through an infection, have a story. They were people with family and friends. They had aspirations and dreams and also yearned for life. And all of that has been wastefully lost. Even those surviving are losing. Violence begets more violence. Revenge breeds more revenge. The consequences are laid bare. All the potential for peace, happiness, greatness is thoroughly lost.

    I can fully understand where a lot of the negativity for this game is coming from. This is a game not aimed for those looking for some easy escapism, which is something we all need in these days. This is a game that makes a lot of demands from those who play it. When the first Last of Us came out, the world was a different place. The first game was good for escapism and it garnered a lot of love from people who at the time got that escapism from it. I'm guessing a lot of these people were hoping for some mindless fun (a crucial thing in these days) and when they didn't get that from their beloved game, they were understandably disappointed and even angry. I just hope that one day all those giving this game such negative reviews consider stepping away and come back and revisit it with no expectations. That they'll take the game for what it is: A very violent game that ends up being against violence and makes you feel like you experienced something bigger than yourself.    … Expand

    Loved it. Gameplay was awesome. Story was emotionally exhausting, but that was expected. How dare a game makes me feel all types of ways. Great game.

    I had some trouble with the story at first but then I remember in a trailer the one of the devs said that we needed an open mind for this game and I think that when you think about it long enough your realize that a complex story like this one is hard to find so we gotta appreciate it.

I was angry when Joel died, but when you complete the game and spend so much time as the other perspective you understand how Ellie chasing her across the country is the EXACT same drive that Abby had to find Joel for revenge... the game ends with them seeing their actions cause a cycle of pain and suffering and if she can forgive Joel for his actions in the hospital, then she’s capable of forgiving and understanding Abhys reasons... yeah I should use more full stops... give the game a proper go with an open mind! 10/10… Expand

    Possibly the best game on PlayStation , loved the first half but I personally enjoyed the second half the best , graphics are great , game sounds great and enjoy hearing the ai call out there friends name as you kill them just adds a new element to the game , would highly recommend playing the game and suggest you ignore all the negative reviews as there not a true reflection of the game .

    at first you think abby sucks, you think she must die. but when you start to understand her background story, you can see why she killed joel, and you can undertand how she felt. this games teaches a lot, its inexplicable.
    ellie, on the other hand, lost friends, lost her love dina, only because of a revenge. at the end, she has nothing left, and she knew that killing abby couldnt make everything go away. abby also started to understand a bit of joel and ellies side of the story. she betrayed the WLF, she killed her colleagues, just to save lev and yara. she gave up on everything because of them. she developed a love for them, and then she realized why joel saved ellie. because of love. i think this game is one of the greatest of all time.    … Expand

A lot of people just keep mentioning the death of Joel being a huge disaster of the game and story, where in reality this happened early in the game and there are tremendous amount of character building throughout the game. But people just keep focusing on their hatred about how the game doesn't go in the direction they expect to see, and refuse to look at the other side of the coin through Abby's eyes. This is funny as it reflects the reality of the world of 2020.… Expand
