    1. Graphics - 9/10 - they are good but we are in 2020, and is not like we did not had games with good graphics before or from now on ... what a stupid argument.

    2. Game-play -6/10 - nothing changed, almost like the one in 2013 ... 7 years and not that much changed, you want to tell me that awkward jump is amazing ? really ? that is the best that the critics can come up with when they give it a perfect score ?

    3. Combat and "stealth"- 5/10 - the combat its not that good, the stealth mechanics the same not that good , we have so many game which are doing the stealth and combat mechanics a lot better then TLOU 2.

    4. Story - 0/10 - the story it's garbage, you have two lesbians raiding on horses, kissing and smoking weed and doing some **** in the open world , then you play with "It's ma'am" and want to revenge you father ( a random NPC from the first game, no back story no nothing ), you run around for a little bit then switch back to the two lesbians, back to "It's ma'am" ... the you run in to Joel, he saves you life then you lead him to an hideout he tells you his name just like that , then you torture him for a little bit and in front of Ellie you smack his head with a golf club. **** you game .... then you play as Ellie who said that she will them all , after a few hours into the game you switch to "It's ma'am" and you take it from behind in a gay scene ( **** this game ) ... ...... anyway in the end Ellie finds "It's ma'am" they fight and because Ellie has a vision of Joel lets her go ( nice revenge ), then Ellie returns and wants to play the guitar, but because "It's ma'am " bite two fingers out of her she cannot ... The end ...

Worst part is that You are forced to play through hours of gameplay as a character you are not interested in at all just to get to play as Ellie. You get through all that just to be dissapointed with the ending that makes no sense. TLoU part 2 looks amazing, the music and animations are amazing, the combat is improved a lot but the most important part of the game is the story and unfortunately story is the weakest part of the game.… Expand

A pesar de una mejora en los gráficos y la modalidad de juego son los esperados, la decisiones tomadas en la historia no son relativamente buenas. Los personajes de la primera entrega pierden un poco de se personalidad y ya con conllevan la misma empata que tenían antes. Es verdad que ha pasado cierto tiempo desde la primera entrega pero no significa que puedan eliminar todo lo que desarrollo en la primera entrega con lo que se les de la gana. En lo personal, los nuevos personajes ya no poseen el carisma que los originales. Otro aspecto importante es la contradicción de la narrativa del juego con respecto al modo de juego ( Ellie posee remordimiento al matar a la pareja, pero en la siguiente escena empieza a matar a todos los "npc" brutalmente como siempre lo ha hecho). El abuso animal y la decisión de fomentar un tema de "venganza" fue una pobre decisión en lo personal. The game is meant to show the development of Ellie's comprehension regarding her actions, but instead it portrays her as callous and cold.

    Played it for 10 hours. Graphics are ok, and sound is acceptable. The plot is very dull and full of far left agenda. The inclussion of LGTB symbols looks very forced and there are many unnecesary sexual scenes. Don't waste your money in this game.

    I'm gonna be honest: I made this account on metacritic only to express my disappointment, my grief, my wrath and in the end the numbness I felt, when the game was over. What an utterly waste of of time this was.
    I wish I never played it and I'd just remember The Last Of Us I as the masterpiece it was.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Firstly, there are a few good points within the game, as to why I didn't rate it below a 4. Here is a list with some details.

    -Game mechanics.

    Since the last game was released, the mechanics of the game have improved drastically. I find it much more easier to aim, craft or even throw a brick/bottle. The jumping and climbing manoeuvres were quite simplistic also. The only thing I can add to that (which is a negative, but because its only small I will include it in the positives) is that the dodging mechanic (L1) is strangely difficult. I found myself continuously receiving damage even though I was dodging perfectly to an upcoming attack. Something that should have been used as the circle button mechanic and not the running button.

    -Animation

    Not only have the facial animation during cutscenes and the gameplay animation improved since the last game, but also the way the environment moves around you. I felt fully indulged within the environment, almost like I was there throughout the entire gameplay. The lighting really brought the dark, dim and bright moments to life.

    Those were my only good points. The past seven years they have spent on making this game was wholesomely based on those points, and not the story. Here are my bad points.

    -Not because Joel died, but HOW he was brutally murdered.

    As Joel was the main character in the first game, I felt saddened by the way they killed him. The way Manny spat on his beaten up corpse really pissed me off. I can understand if Abby herself killed Joel in her own way, without other people forcing him to struggle free of their grasp, but I just found it....well, dirty. She couldn't even come up with a well made plan on how to commit the act. It was just pure luck that she ran into him.

    -Making Ellie look like the villain

    Ellie throughout the entire game is of course, on a rough road heading straight for revenge. Willing to do anything, and kill just about anyone that gets in her way. But throughout this path, she makes some decisions that make us question who she really is as a person. We can all say the worst thing she did was murder Mel, who was pregnant at the time. None of us could see that she was pregnant, even Ellie was shocked at the murder that she committed. She isn't a BAD person. She made some quick moment decisions which were taken out of her hands, and if the tables were turned, we would all do the exact same thing. (Nice try, Naughty Dog)

    -Trying to make us feel Sympathy for Abby

    During the play-through of Abby, different events occur which try to make us think that she isn't the bad person we all think she may be. She may in fact be a caring person, but that doesn't mean she can't be a horrible one either. It makes us look at past events from her point of view, especially when her father died, and we can all obviously see why she did what she did to Joel. But that doesn't take away the fact that she killed him. Joel, who was the protagonist of the first game, the character we all came to love, murdered. Because of the acts he had to commit, in order to save his loved ones life. I quite frankly didn't care that Abby's father died and I will never come to like her character for what she did.

    -Back and fourth revenge/the story ending.

    This story was nothing more than a 'look, this is what revenge does to you. Revenge is bad, DON'T DO IT' and I feel like the past 7 years should have been concentrating more on the story-line and not the mechanics of the game. We didn't need a story on revenge, we've seen it. we've played it. And i'm sure at one point in all our lives, we have had some kind of revenge too. We didn't need a video gaming explaining what specific actions can do to the human mind. Which brings me to the ending. Ellie at the start of Seattle (Just after the events of Seattle day three) spent all that time on tracking Abby. Killing absolutely anything (I'm sorry Alice) and anyone just to make it possible. After being horrifically beaten to a pulp by Abby, she moves from Jackson with Dina and her son. Spending months on end just dwelling on Joel's death. Even having PTSD moments. So at the end, when she had Abby in her grasp, she sets her free. For what reason? Did she forgive her for what she had done? Was this whole game for nothing? Me, as the player, who desperately wanted nothing more than revenge for Joel, couldn't even get that. From start, to finish, the endgame was pointless. It was a means to an end. Where does this take the third installment for the game (that's even if they bother now) with such a pointless cliffhanger?

    My 3 star rating is for the game mechanics. The last star is merely for the story-line. What a disappointment. I expected better for 7 years of hard work.    … Expand

    The amount of attention to detail is beyond anything i’ve ever played. This game made me go from hating a character to actually understanding them. Still hating them however hahah! It was very much an Ellie story and it’s something that needed to be told. I finished this game two weeks ago and have thought about it a lot lately. Nothing has held my attention so viscerally before and I am not sure something will ever come close as Last of Us part 2 did. Great game. Great acting. Great time.… Expand

The way they killed Joel so early on is stupid. 20 minutes of context for Abby doesn’t make me feel bad for her. Joel lost everything in the first 20 minutes of the first game and won everyone’s heart. Accordingly, you would think that Ellie would kill Abby in the end... but she doesn’t. This is not just a bad game, it's a great example of how game developers and other entertainment corporations are trying to normalize the LGBT community, but they don't understand that they are doing the same thing as setting their favorite song as an alarm. being good but ended up being so horrible that you won't be able to listen in a long time. We understand that this community has to be normalized, but, without forcing it to normalize, one gets used to the passage of time, not ipso-facto. They killed a character in just two hours to simply force Ellie and Dina's relationship and also put a developer to have sex. The story is very forced and really disappointing. The third installment is usually supposed to be bad after a sequel already, but it didn't take long for them to ruin a saga. Do you want your equality? Here's your damn equality… Expand

Whilst this game has amazing graphics and gameplay the main reason to play these types of games is for the story and the story in TLOUp2 is horrable. It's not because joel died or because of sexuality in game it's because it's not thought out well. My personal biggest complaint is the horrable way the game ended. Why would she feel guilty about killing joel's killer but not feel guilty about killing hundreds of other people who didn't personally hurt her or her family, and the main theme I got from the game is that everything has consequences, how is letting her live her punishment for killing her father figure.
    But if you're looking for a beautiful movie like game then it gets a 10/10    … Expand

    BAD THINGS: THE ENTIRE STORY.

    Last of Us 1 had the best story in any games released till now in my opinion. Now, Naughty dog just gone and released the worst story-based game in gaming history. I waited 7 years for this game just to be angry and disappointed . Last of Us 2 ruins the legacy of its predecessor. The only good part in the story was that one flashback in the museum. How can you kill off Joel; one of the most beloved characters in such a dishonorable way? This story makes no sense what so ever. What even was that ending? The ending didn't avenge Joel or do anything other than making Ellie lose her fingers. The ending is so disrespectful to Joel and Ellie's character arcs. These two got the worst endings and Abby got a good ending? Ellie killed so many people to get to Abby and she just forgives her 'cause revenge ain't gonna get you anywhere? I mean, do any writers of this game have a brain? And, playing as Abby made me wanna break my PlayStation. Why would I wanna play as Abby? I don't wanna feel any sympathy for ever because I don't care. I just wanna kill her. Just cause she know her backstory, we're supposed to forgive her? SHE BRUTALLY MURDERED JOEL. No matter how hard Naughty dog tried, NO ONE LIKES ABBY.

    Overall, I left angry and disappointed by the end with the garbage-ass game. Like, this game was straight trash. DON'T BUY THIS GAME FOR YOUR SAKE. DON'T READ ANY REVIEWS FROM COMPANIES 'CAUSE THEY'RE FAKE. If you want reviews, ask the gamers.

    It was an amazing, heartbreaking story and the game play was some of the funnest I've ever played. I can't stop thinking about it. It haunts me, and I can't wait to play it again.

    Visually this game left me speechless (although it was to be expected), the gameplay is quite good although the A.I left a lot to be desired. Where I have a big problem is how they handled certain events, they sent everything I loved from the TLOU1 to the garbage dump, you can enjoy the game for the gameplay but there is no doubt that the story is ****

The first two hours of the game are boring just walking and talking with a girl who basically is the girlfriend of ellie. I didn't feel any strong conection between not like joels. Joel's death was rushed in the early game making this more awful to swallow. He's quick dead and poor focus to the history makes the character unimportant or a nobody. Games are split into 3 categories, little to know story (ie tetris) some story but often relies on other aspects (ie Call of duty, madden) and games like this. When it comes to games like this, story is Everything, I’ve seen so many critics give this 10/10 because of how pretty it looks, that’s not how you rate a game, that’s why I continue to feel as though the critics are soulless shells of humans who are in the pockets of big business and lost touch with the real consumer. An ending to a game can change the whole game entirely. Why do you kill of a beloved character as joel and push us the player on the quest for revenge, even have us play as Joel’s killer, that just pissed us off, literal salt in the wounds, and then you have the audacity to not let us finish the job at the end, like it gets a 0 for just “being pretty” and having similar mechanics to the first so it’s kinda easy to get into it but. Overall it gets a 0/10 from me. Better luck next time naughty dog.… Expand

It's like this game serves as nothing but a vessel to destroy those characters that fans love. Why? Why would ND do this to their fans? The gameplay was decent, not very innovative from the last game, and the graphics are a plus. But good graphics with such a poorly written, sickening story is not much of a benefit. Not to mention the player is forced to do countless awful things to get their vengeance, then the game denies even that and tries to scold the player for it, even though the game forced you onto that path. I know there are many fans like myself heart broken (and not in a good way) about what ND did here and I know I'm not the only one to think TLOU part II doesn't exist in my mind. What a disappointing end for us fans faithfully waiting for a (faithful) sequel for years, to say it fell short is an understatement. It's as if the developers went "hm, how can we really give the biggest F you to players?" everything they did callously intentional and knowingly against fans desires.

Right off the bat the gameplay is great, feels nice and brutal. Now the story on the other hand is hard to say. The main issue with the story is Abby. Very cut and dry. They should have put the flashback scenes at the very beginning of the game so the player can feel and understand her. The way they handled Abby was very poor and I never felt like I actually cared about her or her friends, I just wanted them dead for what they did. I can 100% understand why some people will absolutely hate this game. The game could have been a absolute masterpiece if they had the scenes in chronological order to build up emotions for the characters but they don't which is the worst thing. The game isn't bad it just makes a huge mistake with the story. I loved and cared for Dina and Jesse but everyone on Abby's side I didn't give a **** about them. It just makes me sad because The first game is a absolute masterpiece to play it just hurts knowing the mistakes this game makes. They should have put **** in order. Thanks for reading.… Expand

They also disrespected the fans with false expectations and misleading and fake marketing strategies, making us think the game is something that it really isn't. They thought that making us play half of the game on a side-quest just to make us like and care for unlikeable and boring characters was a good idea. Let me tell you, I hated every second. No matter how much you try to make said characters look like good people, they ain't. The ending of the game also feels very unsatisfying, not only for the choices the characters make, but also because the entire message you tried to send was very contradictory when you look at the end each character had.

    Not all about this game is bad tho. Just like in the first game, the music is insanely good and fitting. The graphics are also insane, next gen stuff. Animations, acting (for what the writers intended), the overall art-side of the game is really good, it really brings the entire TLOU universe to life, even more than it did in the first game. There are also very enjoyable moments every now and then, mostly in the first half of the game, which makes you wonder what this game could've been if the writers actually cared.

    Overall, I rate this game a 6/10. What made TLOU a great game, my favorite game of all time, was its story, and this game doesn't even come close to it. Production wise, this game really good, which makes it even more sad for me, because this could've been such an incredible experience, but, at the end of the day. it was just so unsatisfying.    … Expand

The out of the box thinking of the plot and sad moments in the game are the cement and foundation for the next story in the franchise if ever made and help build the characters to who they are, (some people aren't happy with something that happens early on in the game which I wont spoil), but let's be honest, what would the game be if it had not been what it was, more so upset that the incident happens and that you cant play as that character, it's a video game move on, life happens, would you want to play this game back in 2002 with the graphics back then? Probably not. Due to the storyline you feel emotionally invested in the character(s) and their struggle but the ability to have you see things from other perspectives opens your eyes to new ways of thinking and possibly changing your opinion on why something happens, the games themes of, vengeance blinding reason, karma will get you, acceptance and forgiveness are all clearly shown only if you analyze every emotion, every movement to determine why something is happening. This game is a great game and many are upset for the storyline, but that is one out of hundreds of categories you can rate it for, to me personally, I love this game.
