Not anywhere as bad as people are claiming, I wasn’t a fan of how Joel died but not everyone gets a glamorous death and the flashback moments really bring him back to life. Not one of the things people **** on ruins the experience or hinders gameplay....still better than any Xbox exclusive… Expand

    I think even the people who hate this game agree on how absurdly beautiful it is, the graphics, the sceneries, the sounds... There's no denying that this is a 10 in all technical categories. People really don't know the difference between a great story that makes you upset and a bad story. No bad story can make you feel this many feelings, no bad story can cause such an impact on people, and what an impact this one left on me, I want to play it again but at the same time I don't, I loved the gameplay and the story (even if it wasn't what I wanted or expected), but I don't want to feel all those things again, this marked me, and that's something only great storytelling can do.
    I'll never forget this game and how it made me feel.
    (But really, even if you have problems with the game or just hates the story it's so stupid to give a game like this a zero, like come on, I know you want it to be a zero so bad, but you know it's not, stop lying to yourself)    … Expand

    Despite all the review bombing from alt right kids, the game is very compelling.
    The graphics and playability are phenomenal, and the store is deep with multiple twists.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Je décide de mettre la note de 10 pour plusieurs choses, les graphismes, le game plays...ect. Mais aussi, et surtout parce que c'est ma licence préféré. J'ai jamais connu pareil émotion en jouant à un jeu, entre peur (parfois éteignant même la play le soir à 3h du mat), tristesse (je suis peut être le seul mais des larmes ont coulé à la fin du 1) et ce DUO, merde ce duo tellement bien construit.... Vous comprendrez donc qu'attendre 7 ans n'a pas été chose facile.
    Passons donc à TLOU 2...
    J'ai mal de le dire mais l'histoire d'Abby m'a plu, et à été parfois passionnante (la mort de son père, la guerre entre Wolfs et Scars...). Après les deux premières heures de jeu avec Abby à me répéter pourquoi je l'a joue alors que j'ai une folle envie de la tuer, j'ai commencé à prendre du plaisir.
    Mais le déclic qui m'a fais comprendre que le studio avait pris le mauvais chemin sur l'histoire de TLOU2, c'est lorsque l'on joue Abby et qu'on doit tuer Elie... La s'en était trop pour moi, tuer Joel dès le début puis jouer Abby pour tuer Ellie, comment le jeu en est arrivé la. Même si le message du jeu est intéressant, la vengeance n'est pas la bonne voie, comment faire ça aux joueurs, comment nous faire ça.

    Le studio a choisit un axe audacieux ! Pourquoi pas ! Mais l'erreur c'est d'avoir sous estimé l'attachement que j'avais (et que les joueurs ont) pour Ellie et Joel. Peut importe si Elie tue une femme enceinte ou des milliers de personnes, tout est justifié (et la je parle personnellement) parce qu'Abby à tué Joel (le daron qu'on aurait tous aimé avoir, et qui nous à tenu en haleine durant les 15 heures de jeu du 1.)

    Ainsi je ne peut être que négatif, alors que vous savez maintenant l'attachement que j'ai pour ce jeu. Le jeu ne tiens pas debout, a cause des choses suivantes, Joel meurt dès le début, (putain je me sens encore mal mais pourquoi pas car on se sens encore plus attaché à la vengeance de Elie) on nous fais jouer le personnage qui l'a tué, et finalement Elie ne se venge pas....
    Peut importe si le personnage Abby est écrit à la perfection, peut importe si elle est super gentille, peut importe si elle sauve Lev... On veut qu'Elie se venge coûte que coûte, (coule la, coule la que je me répétait à la fin du jeux) mais non.
    Ainsi personne ne vengera notre héro préféré... ce qui a couté au studio une fin des plus frustrante de l'histoire du jeux vidéo.

    Maintenant prions pour qu'il ne fasse pas le The Last Of Us 3 sur Abby et Lev. Et malgré tout je met 10 parce qu'il nous faut ce genre de jeu nous ne pouvons pas se permettre de basher pour des choix et des orientations de scénario.    … Expand

    The game has become exactly what it wants to be, shocking, unpleasant and human. Therefore it has had to do a lot of things that many fans don't like. But that's exactly why the game has become something special and not a boring sequel. Anyway, the emotions in the game reached me.

Это жестоко давать нам играть за Эбби, жестоко убивать Джоэла, жестоко превращать Элли в монстра. Но великолепно и рисковано пытаться показать другую сторону. Да, может я и не полюбила Эбби, так как люблю Элли, но именно Эбби остановила круг насилия. Именно она оставила Дину, Элли и Томми. Сейчас я могу бесконечно говорить про две стороны одной медали, про многогранность человека, про эмоции, про то, как не укладывается всё это в голове, потому что этого слишком много. Но достойная ли это игра? Да. Я не обязана ее любить, чтобы это понимать.
    Но игровой опыт который я получила, я могу оценить. Могу понять почему сделали так и не иначе, проще сказать "чтобы вызвать эмоции". Но сейчас я даже не могу придумать такого же сильного сюжета, чтобы спустя 20 часов не было впечатления "всё понятно, месть злобной девахи, gg wp, go next". When I played as the protagonists, my opinions didn’t matter, but theirs did—and I followed their every choices no matter how disapproving they were to me. The combat, stealth, and exploration of the game are astounding. The combat is more diverse than the first game with their added implementation of the well-done dodge mechanic. The AI also communicates greatly with each other as well as the player and their actions. Stealth is better than ever, with numerous ways of achieving those sneaky kills or sneaky, pacifistic getaways. Furthermore, depending on whoever you play as, how you approach your enemies would differ. On one character, I kept relying on traps and explosive tools. On the other, I mainly used arrows and silencers—the more quiet gear. Lastly, the world is just impressive to have been developed. There are fascinating details and unessential yet intriguing stories and lore, in the form of artifacts and graffiti, in almost every place of the game. This adds more to the place its set in, and makes it feel more realistic. In conclusion, the game did much, much better than the first. Not just on its gameplay aspects, but also on its story. I respect the directions they took, and I enjoyed it all the way. Trust me when I say this, your Last Of Us experience is going to be an incredible, immersive one if you tackle it with an open-mind and an adventurous instinct.… Expand

It is sad that those who did not play this game believe that they understood everything on YouTube and underestimate the ratings.     The game went in a direction that not many stories would go towards, not everything is fairytale. Although I despised Abby for killing Joel as I really wanted to play as Joel, this game showed brilliantly that the so called "bad guys" of each story are not always never justified even if it is less artistic than the way the movie Joker was portrayed.
    The stunning environment and graphics should mean that the game deserves atleast a 4 even if the story is pretty mediocre, rating it a 0 is just plain insulting (hence why I gave this game a 10).

    In summary: not every story should be overcome the villain because they are just plain wrong, when in reality you are fighting your own demons even when that villain shows compassion (which is a rare feat).    … Expand

The crunchy mechanics, bleak aesthetic, off-putting soundscape and satisfying subtle character arcs are exactly what you would expect from a studio that only makes industry leading games. However, it's in the game's writing that Last of Us Part 2The Last of Us Part 2 achieves the impossible, it matches the quality, ambition and intensity of Part 1 (and in many ways even surpassing it). The crunchy mechanics, bleak aesthetic, off-putting soundscape and satisfying subtle character arcs are exactly what you would expect from a studio that only makes industry leading games. However, it's in the game's writing that Last of Us Part 2 really shines. The story uproots and lays bare difficult conversations that the gaming industry (and gamers most importantly) have only began to address and unpack; bigotry, misogyny and self-entitlement. You don't have to look far to see that this story has ruffled the most toxic feathers in gaming; whether hacking servers, click-bait articles, reviewing bombing, whinging reddit threads or (you guessed it) a petition to rewrite the story. Clearly the industry and community has plenty of work to do and I applaud Naughty Dog for not seeking to please gamers - but to make them stop, think and challenge themselves. Controversy is good. I for one might have agreed half-way through the game. In the end, however, all of it made sense to me, because after everything that happens in the game, you, the player, went through the same character development ark as Ellie did. The characters really bring a story to life which had me on the edge of my seat during the whole playthrough. This is why I'm incredibly impressed with Naughty Dog, there is no game that makes you feel this angry, confused and sad. I feel like some fans mistake the emotions they had during their playthrough for their feelings towards the game.… Expand

    En cuanto a las mecánicas, si que es cierto que no innova casi nada, mas bien refina las bases del primero. Eso tampoco me parece malo, es una segunda parte, y si ya funcionaba bien en el primero, tampoco es necesario reinventar la rueda.

If you are closed-minded, are not capable to have perspective and are not able to understand the character's point of views, then this is NOT A GAME FOR YOU! A lot of YouTubers and people are fixated to Joel's death which is understandable, but a lot of people really don't understand the story which is where all the hate is coming from. Yes, it sucks that Joel died the way he did and I even cried because he is a beloved character but let's be real, it would not be realistic if Joel had an honerable death. Real life does not work that way, especially in a world of survival. Joel himself crossed many people and he happened to cross someone (Abby) that was affected by his actions. That is where perspective comes in. From what I experienced playing the game, there are two themes which is Revenge and Forgiveness. Because of Joel's death, the flashbacks have meaning and brings moments of happiness to a world that is dark and tragic. Even the times Ellie plays the guitar enhances my happiness in the game. It really does bring so many emotions out of me playing this game and I think that is what the developers wanted. We are human after all. The characters in the game are very well written and if you actually pay attention to the story and dialouge you have with the characters, you learn a lot about them. Not everything is in cutscenes. There is this constant cycle of revenge but at the end, when Ellie gets that quick flashback of Joel, she found her peace and was able to forgive Joel from the lie he told Ellie since Part 1. She had no need to kill Abby because she found peace and was able to move on. Revenge would not take anybody anywhere. Ellie and Abby are similar in so many ways. Even Joel and Abby were similar when it came to taking care of a child for instance Joel for Ellie and Abby for Lev. Other than that, gameplay is amazing, definitely and upgrade from Part 1. Graphics are beautiful and like I said, I enjoyed and loved the story. FYI I also noticed that after like 5 hours of the game coming out, there were a bunch of negative reviews of the game so I find that very suspicious considering that game takes like 30 hours +. And no I doubt 45,000+ people had review copys, lets be real here.… Expand

    A great game with excellent graphics, mechanics and gameplay, as well as a story that is memorable. The game is very emotional, it is the second game that caused me so much emotion - the first was the first part of The Last Of US :)

    As for me, an outstanding game - 10/10

Игра прекрасно сделана,отличный сюжет,физика,графика и великолепное раскрытие персонажей. Отдельное спасибо за последнюю локацию.

Neil Druckmann and the rest of the team at NaughtyDog really have mastered the art of modern video game-making.

    They have accomplished something that is astonishing in today's overcrowded landscape of entertainment media, where it feels as though everything has been done before, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out among the infinite resources we can choose from in this golden age of content.

    Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson return as Joel and Ellie, expertly portraying their respective characters in a performance that feels deep, rich and meaningful. Johnson, especially, really cranks it up a notch as an older Ellie, and I would go as far as to say Johnson is more talented her field than many popular actresses working in TV and Hollywood today.

    I think it's a remarkable achievement to introduce new characters that aren't dry, annoying or just not really worth caring for. It's an all too common problem in film, TV or games that I think we've accepted as normal and to be expected when sequels and spinoffs are made. However, I did find myself happy to see Jesse, anticipating interactions between Dina and Ellie and found myself growing to like Abby despite outright hatred toward her to begin with, which is not an easy feat.

    Everything in this game is oozing with genuine effort - nothing is lazy. The graphics, game play combat and above all the story is phenomenal. I'm blown away by what the team at NaughtyDog have been able to take from the first game, and improve and build upon it.
    The story is what seems to be making or breaking this experience for many people. It upsets me to see so many negative reviews when the years of dedication, love and care to create this game is so starkly evident.
    I really think that if you believe that the story was poor, you aren't understanding it in the slightest. You're missing the mark and failing to see the point completely.
    Many of the critic reviews do an excellent job of illustrating this point. Go and read some of their reviews.

    To give this game anything between a 0 and a 4 is downright wrong, because even if one did understand the story, and it truly wasn't for them, then fair enough - but you can't deny that everything else that makes up this game was near perfect.

    I'm also terribly disappointed in those reviews that stated the reason they were giving the game a bad score was because they were having 'politically correct, feminist propaganda' shoved down their throats. How will we ever have LGBT+ and/or strong female leads represented in anything if angry bigots shoot it down in the first instance, complaining that they have to see someone different to them on their TV screen? It's actually disgusting to see in the year 2020 just how many people are still stuck in the past.

    I know this phrase 'subverted my expectations' is so overused and practically a joke but it really did just that. I was always on my toes, unable to predict what was going to be throw at me next. I had a phenomenal experience all throughout the game, but somehow the last few hours just elevated the entire game 10-fold, wrapping it up so fantastically. I teared up a lot.

    I wouldn't be able to say whether ''Part I is better then Part II'' or vice versa, because they both have completely different feels to them that it becomes impossible to compare the two. I think the change in mood is down to the nature of the respective stories. Part I is about (fatherly/daughterly) love, but toward the very end it becomes what the second instalment is about - the (arguably horrid and wrong) things you do for someone you love unconditionally.

    I think you could choose to interpret that change in feel as a positive or negative, personally, I think it's a good thing. It needs to have a point of differentiation, something that lets everyone know it isn't it's predecessor. Or else, we end up experiencing something that feels like a cut and paste of the first one, with a few things jumbled around which happens far too often in the entertainment industry because it's safe and profitable. I think it's incredibly brave and commendable for NaughtyDog not to rely on the success of the first instalment, and it definitely pays off.

    The Last Of Us Part II is a worthy continuation of a modern classic, and passes the game from being Joel's to Ellie's story of survival and love smoothly, even though they are beautifully and heavily intertwined with each other.    … Expand

This story is going to change the way I see games just like the first one did.

    The game-play is riveting as one could expect. There are a lot more options when facing enemy encounters, keeping you on the edge of your seat and the brim of your mind. Nothing is more satisfying than getting though dozens of enemy without taking a single bullet.

    I wasn't spoiled by leaks(fortunately), and it seems like the ones that were and still complain about the game seem close-minded and/or they haven't played the game. It might not be what people wanted. But honestly there wouldn’t have been a part two if not for that event. The flashbacks the game has provide you with some of the most heartfelt and purest scenes. The INCREDIBLY details in gameplay the movement the flow from cutscene to gameplay once again. The upgrade system and work bench. Everything was looked after with so much care and detail. The thing that I probably love the most about this game is the relationship between Ellie and Dina, the chemistry the warmth in the most subtle of ways. And the fact the game never made use of the bury your gays trope. A trope that has been used so many times and is so damaging to the community. In fact they did the opposite. We get a taste of what it can be like. And what in my opinion is to come after the final shot in the game. I don’t think I’ll truly like Abby ever, I understand, but don’t agree. And even if it starts out of guilt her most redeeming quality is caring for the seraphite children. Lev is one of the purest characters I’ve ever met and in many ways reminds me of Ellie in the first game. I wanna say the acting and talent this game contains are out of this world. Everything comes across so well. The screams are felt in your bones. And scenes that are happy make you sob happy tears. The game is supposed to make you feel exhausted by the end of your search of revenge and you do. It plays on your mind for hours on end. But to me after that last Scene with joel. The game ends on a much lighter tone. One with hope and closure.… Expand

This sequel explores how those actions in that hospital had impacted many people, therefore a consequence was revenge (Abby), which led to more revenge (Ellie). If any person thought Joel would not die in this game they were blind to the first game's ending. People bash this story and yet at the time of writing only 14% completed the game, the story, as I summarized it, is great.     I really appreciated the adult storytelling that you don't get very often if at all in video games. The first game was a world of Black and White, good and bad but this game introduced moral grey, particularly when viewing character actions from different perspectives.
    They truly captured the dark apocalyptic world Ellie and Abby live in, as well as the dark choices people justify to themselves because of revenge and hate.

    I see a lot of reviews stating "The game was about revenge yet you get none in the end". I can only say to those people.

    THAT. IS. THE. POINT.

    This is about what hate and revenge brings you; nothing but loss.

Don't listen to the haters. while i do believe that some people are disappointed in the game most of the bad reviews came once the fan review was enabled. Anyway yes it is a long game and can be a drag in some parts but you will easily lose yourself in the game. A worthy successor to a decade-defining game.

With a story that makes you empathize with different angles and does not leave the player on the sidelines. Significantly increased locations and their sizes, improved combat, crafting and leveling.

It shows the layers and depths of human emotions so beautifully and so unique that we did not have yet and will have to wait for for a long time. It probably gets the closest to the reality and how humans would react and behave in an apocalyptic world. It's psychologically 100% accurate! But a list of events is not a story, and I believe if many of these reviewers experienced the story, they would feel differently. It is a difficult game. It takes place in a brutal world and things happen that you may not want to happen. The gameplay is exceptional and tense, and the graphics are as close to photo-real as this generation will get. I was completely riveted by the game from beginning to end, and look forward to one day playing it again. I took a point off because, after a certain point, the misery of it all is laid on a bit thick and it can be a bit of a struggle to carry on. I feel like they went a little too far on making the point they want to make, but that's subjective and you may find you don't have a problem with it. I would recommend playing the game, even if you read the leaks and we're angered by them.… Expand

    Different story then I was expecting , sad but raw ( life is raw ... and it never goes how you want .... get used to it ) , not for kids who want happy endings and stereotyped characters. I liked the game! I think I would be more disappointed if this was only a "DLC" for the first one.

    It's as close to perfect as a game can be currently. Gameplay is immaculate, graphically stunning, audio is on point and the story is magnificent. It builds on the first game and improves in every aspect. Don't believe the comments about pandering, or pushing agendas because it's just not true. One of the best games I've ever played

Quinto: poca acción, mucha caminata, no es cierto, hay muy buenos momentos de acción. También hay que entender que es una historia más emotiva, está más enfocada en lo que sienten y viven los personajes. Si quieren acción sin trama vayan a ver porno o a jugar Call Of Duty.     Graphically stunning, amazing sound design, perfected gameplay, and mechanics.
    Divisive as it is, the story is there as a story told by the studio, and not just fulfilling the fans' fantasies.
    The somewhat different settings manages to pay respect to the original game, and bring new and refreshing additions to the world of The Last of Us.

The combat, world building, storyline, stealth mechanics, graphics, dialogue and acting are all top-notch.     This game is a masterpiece... It bought out some complex emotions within me that i never felt a video game could achieve... Amazing yet intriguing and deliberately divisive story... A techincal marvel and so on... Like i said a 10/10 masterpiece!

    Melhor jogo que joguei, foi uma grande experiência com várias emoções, esse jogo fez eu sentir ódio, raiva, felicidade, angústia, tristeza...
    No final do jogo eu simplesmente choro, toda a carga emocional do primeiro e do segundo jogo me afetaram.
    Esse jogo é uma obra prima.

    Pra mim esse é o melhor jogo desta geração, ele aborda temas muito importantes, além de ter muita ação e a história ser muito bem narrada. Além disso, o jogo mexe muito com o nosso psicologico e nosso emocional. Achei legal o fato de a Naughty dog ter humanizado muito bem o jogo, dando nome a todos os npçs e cachorros. Todos os detalhes foram muito bem pensados e feitos, como as animaçõesPra mim esse é o melhor jogo desta geração, ele aborda temas muito importantes, além de ter muita ação e a história ser muito bem narrada.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
