    This game is a masterpiece, it brought teachings to life. For every situation in the game, there was a motivation. Revenge was the main one, but in the end it only took the loss on all sides. The teaching: No revenge is worth so much.

Justifica o tempo que levou para ser lançado. Uma história sobre amor e ódio, com plot twists e violência pesada. Honestly really loved this game, thought it was less bleak than people made out (even the ending), loved the the relationship between Ellie and Dina, my only real criticism is Manny, who was...really badly written as a walking latinx stereotype :/

    As a trans person, I appreciated and liked the trans rep with Lev, very cute character and his relationship with Abby was reminiscent of Ellie and Joel in the first game

    I felt Joel's death makes sense, I always assumed he'd die and him going out in a blaze of glory would make no sense, and considering most "revenge" stories focus on a white dude's love ones (usually a wife and/or kid) getting fridged, this was a pretty refreshing take IMO

    Gameplay was good, loved the accessibility options a lot, I'm planning to replay for optional dialogue i missed.    … Expand

    Jogo simplesmente incrível! Gráficos, jogabilidade, mapas, iluminação, expressões faciais, interpretação, motivação e, principalmente, a história. Superar o primeiro era realmente um desafio e tanto, e esse jogo conseguiu.

    This game exceeded my expectations...The story is better and more complex, the graphics, atmosphere are on par if not better than the first, and there is a lot more Joel than I was expecting. The only complaint I have is that because the animators made the characters so fluid - it somethings makes the controls a little cumbersome - but other than that - I think this is an amazing game.

    This game is absolutely amazing. Several weeks after finishing, and it's still all I can think about. The world, mechanics, and gameplay are all obviously amazing. More importantly, the story is incredible. This game makes you, the player, constantly uncomfortable and emotionally torn throughout the game. There is constant cognitive dissonance. It shows the dark side of your heroes, andThis game is absolutely amazing. Several weeks after finishing, and it's still all I can think about. This game makes you, the player, constantly uncomfortable and emotionally torn throughout the game. There is constant cognitive dissonance. The reviews are polarized because people are so used to good and bad being black and white, and because the fandom has put characters on pedestals when they never deserved that. Every character in both the first game and this game, and I mean EVERY character, is morally flawed. That's part of what makes those characters so amazing, and the world so believable. There are no heroes, and there are no villains, just people surviving and clinging to the people they love.… Expand

    The game is great. You might not like the story because it is a sad story. If you want to play a game with a happy story, I recommend SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. Although its gameplay is not nearly as polished or fun, you don't need to worry about feeling sad at any point.     Great game! The only thing that confused me was a lie in the trailer (about Joel. But story and personalities the best! I’ve been through a lot of emotions. A lot of thanks to creators! I love it!I think TLOU is next level for video games.

    Sin lugar a dudas el mejor juego de ps4 para mi ! una gran historia y una manera impecable de contarla... entretenido, largo y con una gran calidad visual y sonora ! creo que ha sido infravalorado por mucha parte de la comunidad por tener personajes distintos, con diversidad sexual ... pero es de lo mejor que tenemos en ps4

Partiamo dal fatto che il il combattimento corpo a corpo è stato ampliato dando spazio alla schivata che permette al giocatore sia di assistere a duelli unici ma anche a catapultarsi interamente nell'azione. Sul lato grafico questo the Last of us part 2 è fenomenale grazie ad un livello di dettaglio pazzesco. Ed infine parliamo della trama. Una trama cheUna perla per il mondo videoludico.     after finishing this game twice, the story is a lot deeper than i first thought. the ending wasn't overly satisfying but i struggle to see how it could have been too different. story isn't perfect but i enjoyed my journey and the several points that made me stop and think about life in general.

Schade das viele nicht die Message verstehen. Und einige auch nicht das gesamte Spiel bis zum Ende zocken. Es gab für mich nur einen Moment, bei dem ich pausieren musste. Das war ca bei der Hälfte. Und das auch nur weil ich mich nicht auf das einlassen wollte,was mir ND zeigen bzw. aufdrücken wollte. Ich war frustriert und wollte nicht zulassen was meine Sicht auf die Dinge angeht. Und ein großer Teil der Wut,entstand bei mir ,da mir klar, dass trotz aller meiner Bemühung, es ND am Ende doch irgendwie schaffen. Jeder der es bewertet, sollte Teil 1 und Teil 2 gespielt haben. Und dann 1 bis 2 Tage warten. Und nicht auf irgendwelche pews hören. Die eh ur mit einem halben Auge spielen und hauptsächlich den Chat unterhalten.     I have never felt so depressed playing a game; i definitely undersrand now what Niel meant when he said we might not like the game. I understand being upset at some plot choices in the game, but for me it definitely deserves the overwhelming amount of 10s

    A quality game that constantly offers something new. Absolutely original, top graphics. Playing as a supporting character is probably more interesting. The surprising death of some people. The game shows a harsh, ruthless, cruel, hateful world. Condemning the game to an end is complete nonsense. Rating 10/10

    Story- One of the best I’ve ever experienced in a game. Acting and writing is on another level.
    Gameplay-Incredible, fun, creative, and immersive. Very well done.
    Visuals-Unreal. Even on PS4 slim, it looks so good.

    Overall- This is hands down one of the best modern games ever made. The critic reviews are spot on. Those review bombing have a obviously never played the game.

Понятно было что ему за это будут мстить и тут нам это и показывают. Ещё читал претензии что Эбби не раскрыта, в корне не согласен, она перерождается из «полной мрази, которая жестко убила главного героя» в человека, которому сопереживаешь едва ли не больше, чем Элли. Мне было очень интересно пройти путь и за Элли и за Эбби и увидеть их жизни и переживания с разных сторон. Эта одна из лучших игр, в которые я играл.… Expand

    Long time fan of the original, and this was everything I wanted out of the sequel. The gameplay has some minor polishes and some majorly fun new levels and one of the most horrifying bosses I've ever played, old and new characters well developed, and a story that challenges. I bsee why some didn't like it, but I think it was beautifully executed.

The big event at the beginning was spoiled for me, but I kept hope alive that it was out of context. As many others, I was sad, angry, and disappointed that it happened, but I understand that this is the world they live in. It’s not a happy ending type of world. The second half of the game was not spoiled for me, and so I was shocked to see the character who features. I felt weird playing as Abby, but I could understand her perspective. The game made me do things I did not want to which, in the moment, I did not like, but I understood why ND placed that on the player. The two confrontations presented me with so much internal turmoil, and I didn’t want to align with the characters. The open-ended ending makes me hopeful that a third installment will be on the way. There was so much to digest and I wanted to experience the game again. As of this post, I am on day 2 in Seattle with Ellie. I love the world and characters of TLOU.… Expand

Персонаж Эбби прописан на 10 из 10, стоит только дать ей шанс, и эта девушка завоюет вашу любовь. Все позитивные впечатления от этой игры были получены мной вопреки десяткам тысяч негативных отзывов. Второй день я не могу отойти от концовки, такая она вышла эмоциональная, пробирающая до мурашек. Кто бы что ни говорил, эта история заслуживает внимания, и здесь важно переварить все произошедшее и взглянуть на события второй части под разными углами, не зацикливаясь на сами знаете чем, как бы тяжело это не было. Месть опустошает, мы ведь все знаем, в какой ситуации весь мир ослепнет, и мысль эта донесена лучше некуда. В завершении скажу - прощайте в первую очередь себя, возможно, это ключ.… Expand

    Masterful storytelling. All those posting reviews on day of release clearly have not even played it. This is easily as good if not better than The Last of Us (part 1) and the game toys with your emotion the entire way through, finished this morning and instantly started a second playthrough!

So, after all these years how could Naughty Dog ever make a sequel to live up to part 1? The answer is Part 2. For what seems like forever I heard nothing but bad, negative and hatefull things about The Last of us 2 on how "the game betreys and spits in the face of fans",7 years. 7 years is a long time to wait for a sequel to The Last of Us, possibly one of the greatest games ever made. So, after all these years how could Naughty Dog ever make a sequel to live up to part 1? The answer is Part 2. For what seems like forever I heard nothing but bad, negative and hatefull things about The Last of us 2 on how "the game betreys and spits in the face of fans", and "the writing is garbage", and "we hate that **** Abby". With so much negativity and hate, I questioned whether or not I should even get it, and to be honest I was worried about the game. However, unlike most gamers I am very open minded and wasn't going to judge the game untill I got it and played it. I went in knowing one of the spoilers but I didn't let that discourage me. And I'm glad I did.The Last of Us Part 2 exceeds part 1 in every way possible. The graphics are breathtaking, the sound design perfect, the level of detail in every environment you walk through is beyond magnificent, combat is grounded and brutal. Ashley Johnson's performance of Ellie was the highlight of the whole game, she deserves an award for her performance! The Last of Us Part 2 was an emotional game to get through, by end of it I was wiping tears from my eyes. When the credits rolled I was left with the same awe and amazement after playing The Last of Us back in 2013. With The Last of Us Part 2 Naughty Dog has cemented why they are the BEST developer in the world, no other developer comes close to the talent and pedigree they achieve.     This game is stunning and beautiful and i know people did not like the game because joel died but it was so that ellie's revenge like they said in the trailers make sense to the story but about abby naughty dog just wanted that you can see abby's perspective so you can understand that no one in this world is good. Otherwise the game is actually one of the best ive ever played

    The Last of Us Part II has me crying. full on tears. best game i’ve ever played ever in my entire life. been waiting for this moment for 7 years. and about the end tho... it was SO realistic and so emotional... can’t believe Naughty Dog did that. Respect.

Wokeness: I understand the curiosity and confusion that comes with encountering a non-gender conforming person. I know that most people will think that the inclusion of so many LGBT people in this game was done so that they could appear woke. However I think that critique comes from people who don’t have a lot of diversity in their own lives. There will eventually be a time where LGBT characters in main roles will be not controversial at all, maybe when our own lives are equally diverse. O

    2. The villain:I hated Abby from the moment that she killed Joel and when I had to play her I was annoyed. I kept on dying whenever I was forced To attack Elli. I didn’t believe that it was fair for Abby to get a redemptive art after she completed her revenge against Joel. I found it annoying and not believable whenever she all of a sudden took interest in taking care of two children. It felt forced But then at the end, she was given redemption by caring more about the life of that kid than her own. It wasn’t until the very end that I actually liked Abby and found myself trying to stop Ali from killing her. I don’t know if I wanna ever see her again but I’m glad I met her. 3. The Ending: The best part of the last game was the ethical dilemma at the end. I never thought that Joel should have killed all the fire flies and stop the creation of a cure so that Ellie could live. At the very end of this game, we realize that all we went through to kill Abby was for nothing. Right before Abby’s last breath Ellie suddenly sees a glimpse of a memory that saves Abby’s life. Later on we see the full memory. Ellie is mad at Joel because now Ali has to find meaning in her life. Before she knew her meeting, she was a cure . Now she has to be like the rest of us and find our own lives’ meaning. Ellie has to find a meaning for her life. At the very end we don’t know a lot about what Ellie wants her life‘s meaning to be, but we know that it doesn’t even involve more senseless death and that’s why Abby gets to live.    … Expand

    I'm not understanding the 1 ratings. Unless you hate abby as much as I do but still it's an amazing game!! I have a lot of love hate for it but it by no means should get a 1star. The game is well written and I don't understand the bad reviews.

    I took my time to play it through around 33 hours until completion.

    I finished it a week ago and I can’t stop thinking about the game. So I looked at the many reviews positive and negative.

    In my personal opinion some of the hot topics a certain death, a certain playable character and the overall story need discussion.

    The death - didn’t have a problem with it I thought it drove the story

    Abby - she was awesome, first 30 mins I was like why am I playing as Abby but I loved the change of pace and in the end I didn’t know what I wanted

    Story - at the time I was so engrossed I absolutely loved the story. Upon reflection some criticisms are ok, I’m ok with Mel being pregnant for example but it was weird that she went out on patrol. Overall I think the heavy criticisms are in general not fair.

    Side note - the game play is improved, graphics improved and the game is really fun. Side note - rat king was awesome.

    Side note - loved the time line! For me it’s a 9 because it was close to perfect just some story holes that I was happy to overlook / didn’t notice.    … Expand

    I understand if the game if the game is too grim for some people's liking. That’s going to be a preference thing and people have different thresholds for that. It's a sad, feel bad kind of game but it's also beautiful too.

    I know this is not a story many wanted.

    I had no story that I wanted. I like my expectations subverted when done well and for the most part I think they did do it well.

    - I personally really enjoyed the game play. It was a sequel so I do not really understand people wanting different game play aspects although I may be misinterpreting what they are actually complaining about.
    - They added enough features for me for it to be refreshing, but similar in most aspects.
    - I love the stealth in this game and how I can basically sneak past enemies in most situations, but having the consequence of not having looted them.
    - The fluidity of grabbing objects and quick throwing was something I have not personally experienced in any other game and I love that. (Know that I play little single player games)
    - I generally aim for platinum in story games and I will replay the game to get all of the collectibles, but I do not like collecting these things. I could really care less for cards, letters and coins, and it ruins the immersion for me. That being said, none of the collectibles had to be collected during boss fights, during chasing scenes, or places where you have to time it right. I appreciate this as I do not have to be reading Johnny's final letter of wanting a sock for Christmas. I understand that it allows for a reminder of civilization and people's old lives or whatever but I do not want to take time off exploring and fighting to be reading.
    - Each kill is so satisfying and can be so grotesque and I love it. The extended period of choking someone only to finally snap their necks is disgusting and actually makes me reflect on how desensitized I am to violence in games. That didn't stop me from completing the mission, but it did make me think (which I think was their intention).
    - Having the enemies cry out their friend's names as I kill them was a nice added touch but I did not notice it too much.

    Story - Random Order Sorry

    - I did not find the relationship between Ellie and Dina forced.
    - I loved the fact that Joel died early, as I felt just as Ellie was feeling at that moment.
    - I have never felt as the protagonist was feeling throughout the story in any other game.
    - I did not understand the whole need for there to be Dina and Ellie smoking weed.
    - I do not think that the Abby and Owen sex scene was at all necessary for the plot.
    - I felt the anger with Ellie and wanted each participant of Joel's death to die and I was satisfied enough for killing them but also felt the need for more vengeance.
    - I am a bit conflicted with the whole Abby half of the story. By the end of it, I still wanted Ellie to win the fight, but at the very least I understand Abby's anger despite me still not liking her. (Which I'm fairly certain met Naughty Dog's vision and criteria).
    - I would have preferred for there to not be a Day 1 for Abby because I found none of that day memorable. I honestly can't remember what happened then. I would have liked for Abby's story to start at the hanging scene. The main reason I feel like I forgot about Day 1 Abby is because I was still processing and waiting for the game to return to the theater as I was desperate to know what happened.
    - The whole Seth thing at the start was okay and I was fine not knowing how it happened. When we actually get to the dance scene, I found it a bit forced and odd.
    - I was initially sad that I thought Ellie had forgotten about Joel and moved on with Dina and J.J. on a farm. I was happy to know that Ellie hadn't forgotten and actually has P.T.S.D. When her previous journey was out of rage, her journey from the farm and back to Ellie was more out of desperation. The fact that she can't sleep or eat and has had episodes which can be a risk for the family, she is desperate for some sort of closure. (So my point is I like this storytelling).
    - I found it odd that after Jesse's death, and all of Abby's friend's death, they are never mentioned again. The only thing I can think of is that it is just another day in the post-apocalyptic world and that this is a normal reaction to death being so desensitized to it. Even so, I don't think it was well shown as the reason for this.
    - I am glad that some of the deaths like Jesse was quick because I do not want every character to have a dramatic death. Some of those quick deaths added to the shock value.
    - I really like the overall themes and ideas of this story. I was satisfied with beating her up at the beach, but also appreciated that she let her live because of the memory of Joel and theme of forgiveness.
    - Tommy left Jackson without Ellie to protect her. When he arrived back with Ellie and Jesse to the theater, he was content with letting Abby live, until she came back and killed Jesse, got shot in the face, and lost his relationship with Maria. By the time of the farm, he is in the same state Ellie was previously.
    Other -
    - The accessibility options in the game are of something like never before. So many options to assist visually impaired, individuals difficulty of hearing, mobility impaired, and quality of life options are a step in the right direction.    … Expand

En cuanto a historia lo que no me gusto es el excesivo gameplay con Abby, que esta bien por que lo que quiere naughty dog es hacerte empatizar con ella, pero en mi opinion si hubieran reducido el gameplay con ella un 50% hubiera sido mejor para todos, se hace muy largo y agotador jugar tanto tiempo con ella. En cuanto a la muerte de Joel, es el detonante del juego, sin su muerte no hay historia, esta mas que bien que joel no muera de forma heroica por que al fin y al cabo es un mundo post apocalíptico, donde no hay buenos y malos, solo gente que se dedica a sobrevivir. I would love to have a discussion with you as long as it stays civil. Also, my opinion really doesn’t matter, it’s the internet for gods sake! I will be splitting this into 4 parts. I’m gonna refer to choice as a big theme by the way. I liked the idea from Left Behind in part 1. 1. Joel’s Death. Ah yes, the main talking point of this game besides the ending. Joel’s death was harsh and brutal, yet deserving. Not everyone deserves a heroes death, and Joel wasn’t exactly a good person. He robbed, he smuggled, he killed, and took away humanity’s last chance for prosperity. That being said, it sucked, enough to make me cry, but it felt right, no matter how horrible it was. Nothing can be a perfect death, or a happy ending. Joel’s death and the way it happened was warranted. It tells me that this is truly the apocalypse. You can’t expect a girl like Abby who saw her father dead on the floor in the hospital to be soft and empathetic. She’s ruthless, and I love it. Now though I miss Joel, his death scene truly was heartbreaking but he surely didn’t deserve what most would call a heroic ending.

    2. Seattle

    Seattle to me was beautiful, and the mini stories told there gave it life. But, to keep it short, it was fairly repetitive. Leave theater, explore, find a way through here, kill a couple of infected or bad guys, explore more, kill more, have a small encounter, such as the one with Jesse, escape dramatically, rinse and repeat. To me, I enjoyed Seattle with Abby more than Ellie. Abby’s was a lot more clever to me, and had some different encounters. 2.5
    I lied, here’s a small extra part. The flashbacks, with both Abby and Ellie were outstanding. It really filled gaps I didn’t even know I had. 3. The fight scene with Ellie and Abby.

    Bridging the stories together after doing two individual sections, when Abby finds the theater and takes Tommy hostage and kills Jesse, the fight scene that ensues was fun, but a little lack luster. I wish it could’ve had some choice to it. Such as, choose to be Abby or Ellie. If you choose Abby, do you kill Dina and die from QTEs or kill her and live or do neither and die? (etc.) Or can you choose Ellie and kill Abby, making the farm scene the last scene of the game. I think a little more though could’ve been put in.

    3.5. I lied again. I’m gonna talk about the farm scene here instead of 4. I wish you could have some more choice here. Choose to stay with Dina or leave? I think it would’ve been interesting.

    4. Santa Barbara. The ending. Probably my favorite portion of the game. The environment is amazing. But why? As said in 3.5, why come here? Why choose to lose it all? But still, the idea is interesting. I’m gonna skip to the end of it to save time. The final fight scene was, interesting. Again, some choice here would’ve made sense. Kill Abby? Either way, the ending plays out. Ellie returns to an empty home, tries to play guitar, but can’t. The ending is heart wrenching and made me cry quite a bit. Saying how that was basically the most important, in my eyes, thing Joel ever gave Ellie. It leaves me with questions; where did Dina go? Where did Ellie go? What happened with Abby and Lev? What happened with JJ? All of these are something I want to see in a DLC or even a third game if possible.

    My final rating. I give this game a 9.4/10. The game was phenomenal, and the story was amazing. To those who don’t understand the story, please think deeper than the surface. It makes so much more sense. The overwhelming urge to kill Abby and everyone there in Jackson during Joel’s death, completely extinguished as flashbacks of Joel tell Ellie to stop. This is the most powerful game I have played in years. I really do hope this game recovers from the review bombs and I hope we see a wrap up to Abby and Lev and Dina Ellie and JJ.     Production values that suggest Naughty Dog are in a league of their own. Intense, kinetic gameplay. A polarizing story that still has me thinking, then, rethinking. Its length and story structure are questionable, but The Last of Us Part II is an experience like few others.

The story was very good I still don't understand all the hate I really don't think it's deserves. I would say if you are on the fence give it a try.

    Playable and enjoyable, with different little quirks and messes and an overflowing fountain of risk and controversy, this game is still definitely a must-play. I would give it a 10 for having the balls alone to pull what they did, but nothing is a 10 in my view. So if the first game is a 9 for me, then this one is n 8. It's an experience!

    This was a great game. Took me roughly 30hours. The combat felt so good and the sound was amazing. As well as the levels environment and atmosphere is superb. However I find the first game personally more favourable. Despite it now being outdated. The plot for The Last Of Us Part II is good but a lot of downsides many people can relate to. The plot for The Last Of Us Part II is good but a lot of downsides many people can relate to. We really should of been given the opportunity to play as Joel longer then just 10 mins at the start. Then switching characters halfway through the game, lots of fans hated it including myself and kinda felt like giving up. It was a very bold move by Naughty Dog but many ways it could of been executed differently here and there. Another disappointment for me was the soundtrack. I cannot help but keep comparing it to the first game. Once you get to the menu. Nothing. Just a boat resting on water. And during cutscenes it doesn’t have the same impact as when we watched Henry and Sams death or many other emotional scenes from the first game. Those moments is what stuck in people’s mind but this game didn’t give me that. I could just sit at the menu for the first game with the background music playing it was perfect. Some reason they didn’t go this far for the sequel. Disappointing. Would I play again? After platinuming the game on a second play through. I cannot see playing this game again.     This game has brought an amazing experience to me in so many levels, I get that this is a video game but I love it. This game is a roller coaster of emotions, perfect.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
