    I'm really confused about game score. Just finished it and it was amazing. Gameplay is really good, hasn't changed a lot since last game, but it's not 100% the same. Developers added new mechanics.
    Story is really good, you don't usually see such twists in games. Plot is really good, story of every main characters is told. Graphics is great, sometimes I just stood and enjoyed visuals.

    I am not a massive fan of "the last of us", I played it, I enjoyed it. The Last of Us part 2 plays a lot like the first one, there are improvements, especially with generational leap that the PS4 brings(I played TLOU on ps3). The TLOU2 has the same bleak style to it and personally I think the cause for vengeance was a bold plot move. this game is a typical story driven sony game and it isI am not a massive fan of "the last of us", I played it, I enjoyed it.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part II is easily one of the best and most gripping games I've played recently. Few games can match its excellent production values and superb writing.

    This sequel to the beloved The Last of Us doesn't take the story in the direction some fans wanted, but the narrative it does craft is one of genuine quality. I honestly loved it - it can be depressing and bleak, but moments of humanity really shine through. Flashback scenes punctuate the emotional revenge narrative and further develop Ellie and Joel's relationship. Halfway through the game you switch from playing as Ellie to playing as Joel's killer, Abby. Seeing things from Abby's point of view makes for a much more complete story.

    I enjoyed the gameplay, which involves stealth, shooting, melee combat, some light puzzle solving and plenty of scavenging. The combat is brutal, bloody and visceral. The infected are effective in instilling an atmosphere of dread and horror, both visually and in terms of their sound design. On the whole The Last of Us Part II plays better than its predecessor. It's more fun and more frightening.

    The graphics are stunning and the game runs at a lovely smooth 60fps on PS5. This is one of the best looking games available right now.

    The soundtrack is top notch and I loved the guitar performances by Joel and Ellie also - Ellie's cover of Take on Me was a highlight.

    I loved The Last of Us Part II. I thought it was a fantastic, intense experience and I couldn't put it down until it was over. The ending was brilliant - the final duel between Ellie and the dishevelled Abby was harrowing, and that last flashback scene depicting Ellie and Joel's last conversation was so touching... It was a beautiful way to end an excellent game.    … Expand

    I don't wanna spoil anything, but this by far the most realistic experience I've had playing a video-game. Everything from the motion capture performance to the smallest little detail in the environment, to the suspenseful music... Well done

    I finally picked this game up a week ago, after reading all the reviews and watching the spoiler videos pre launch. I knew it would be a tough pill to swallow. I decided to tough my way through the emotions and just give it a chance. Have to say that all the hate is misguided and this is an absolute masterpiece. No one should have been allowed to review until they beat the entire game.

This is not a story about an adult man and his choices, this story is about a teenage girl and it works perfectly. The gameplay is a nice hybrid between U4 and TLoU. More open levels spaces gave you a free will to gain your targets. And exploration is just pure fun.

El juego argumentalmente tiene otros errores: la deshumanización de Ellie y la hypersexualizacion innecesaria de varios personajes creando más una declaración de intenciones que un contexto en el juego (para mi su mayor error)

    Mucha gente critica a Abby, personalmente me ha parecido más interesante el personaje de Abby que el de Ellie en este juego. Ellie está cegada con su objetivo y prácticamente en eso se reduce su hilo argumental. Ese es otro de sus errores, destrozar argumental e intencionalmente a Ellie.

    Como juego hay cierta falta de evolución y es igual que el primero

    Gráficamente es un 10
    Y la banda sonora es otro 10

    Though at times it feels as if the game is trying to tell a more emotional story with important themes, while leaning too much on gratuitous violence (while understandable for the setting) as if it hasn't grown up too much since 2013.
    None the less, this is a game that doesn't pull it's punches and Naughty Dog have delivered another cinematic adventure, it's definitely an experience that as a fan of video games I'd say is worth playing.

    People hating on it for the themes of identity and sexual preference discussed was sadly way too easy to see coming and my advice is they need to get over themselves and maybe reflect inward.
    Stop rating 0/10 for the sake of it, which then causes people to rate 10/10 to counter it, just skewing the ratings even more -_-    … Expand

    Tremendo videojuego. Le he echado mas de 40 horas buscando en cada recoveco y aun así jugaré nuevamente toda la historia nuevamente. Un doblaje al castellano exquisito. Me han faltado cosas por describir. Entretenido y con unos saltos en la historia sorprendentes. Gráficamente un portento y parece mentira que se ejecute correctamente en una playstation “normal”, que es dónde lo he jugado.Tremendo videojuego.     This sequel is more like a survival game than the continuity of the first one. It's less a Naughty Dogs narrative game, and more a video game. And i think this is the way it should be, like the path they took for The Lost Legacy.
    Perhaps the story is not very interesting between the two girls.

    This is a game for adults. For people who lived tragedies, disappointments, who felt the pain in the guts. And for no reason - because this is the way life works. My respects for the bravery of the producers to go with such a story. They've known for sure that they will get angry a lot of "immature" fans - kind of super-hero type of movies (all is good and happy in the end)

As for anyone that wants to see the continuation of Part 1 and are able to take a week off to emotionally recover once done, go ahead and brace yourself.    … Expand

It would be too easy to say that all these folks are spamming zeroes because they have political agendas that rival this game's messages or that they simply did not understand the narrative. I assume the problem lies within the narrow vision through which players viewed it. Joel's death is something a lot of us expected but not in the way it's showcased here, just a mere 2 hours into the story. Let me debunk the reviews which are solely based on someone's anger about Joel's death. If you would have paid attention to the game, you would have realize that Naughty Dog spends the entire **** narrative trying to justify the choice to kill Joel off. The implications of the first game's ending are explored so deeply here, you cannot help yourself but feel for Ellie and her loss. But Abby's perspective is also explored. Those that complain about the message being too simple and overused, you forget that the first game was not complex at all, it held together the story with character chemistry and drama. "Revenge is bad" is such an oversight, it's actually insane how many adults describe this game that way. No story is original, it's borrowed from the past. No message is new, it's either old or revised to sound well for the new generations. This game presents its themes in a satisfying manner, not leaving anything out of the picture. There are many layers to the post-apocalyptic world shown in The Last of Us 2. Everyone's actions have consequences and everyone is flawed. This is truly gray morale, something that's missing from popular media nowadays. The ending is a bit long but it makes perfect sense within the context of the story. If not for false marketing and some weak side characters, this game would be a 10/10. Please, do yourself a favor and play this game. Keep an open mind and you will be satisfied.… Expand

The story is also great. At first i felt disappointed when i was playing with Abby but then i understand why that choice. You are going to witness the two sides of a story in which no one is perfect and nothing is absolute , just like real life. Later in the game i didn't want to kill the main villain, the woman that took Joel from us , just because i understand her motivation and i got to know her. I didn't like to much the storie, because this is not the classic storie that we all get used to see in a video game, I think that the creator could have done better with the some characters, but is not bad at all . O mesmo já não posso dizer sobre a história do game. De fato, não vi nenhum tipo de lacração na    Neil Druckmann lascou a história do jogo... Dito isso, vamos direto ao ponto!

    Gameplay fenomenal, gráficos esplêndidos, física tão boa ou até melhor que a de Uncharted 4 I.A muito bem trabalhada, ambientação detalhada e tudo isso em um hardware limitadíssimo como o do PlayStation 4.

    O mesmo já não posso dizer sobre a história do game. De fato, não vi nenhum tipo de lacração na história e acabei por ter me equivocado em uma de minhas afirmativas na respeito da mesma. No entanto, a história é bem clichê.

    Não sou escritor ou coisa do tipo, porém acredito que teria sido melhor uma história de perseguição a Ellie com sua morte no final do game. Afinal, ela é a cura para o vírus, e teria de ser feito seu sacrifício em prol de uma vacina como mencionado no primeiro jogo, e reforçado no segundo.

    O contexto poderia ser esse com os diretores se aprofundando nessa narrativa, e criando várias linhas da história a partir disso. Ellie sendo perseguida por ser a CURA da humanidade junto de Joel, responsável por matar vários personagens no hospital por puro egoísmo.

    A história do primeiro não é tudo isso. Contudo, gerou impacto no desenvolvimento e intimidade entre os dois protagonistas. Enquanto que sua sequência não me fora gerado impacto algum.

    Enfim, nota 8.7/10. Eu poderia dar 10/10 para esse jogo no que ele se propõe a entregar no universo dele, só que para isso necessitaria de ter tido uma história decente.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part 2 é uma Obra Prima, Uma História Adulta, Violenta, Pesada, que você sempre fica querendo saber o que vem depois, não irei entrar no mérito de gráfico, gameplay e trilha sonora, pois é unanimidade que é melhor e mais caprichado que o Primeiro game.

    The game itself takes place in the beautiful world of seattle which was one bustling full of life pre outbreak and its here we witness that this world is no longer what it used to be and that there are no limits to who's life will suffice when it comes to revenge.

    10/10 masterpiece neil druckmann once again proves his unique ability to story tell in a world where humans no longer have compassion or kindness to one another where humanity once lived together they once again fight for survival as well as learning to live with the cordeceps infection as Ellie the only person who has natural immunity to the infection.    … Expand

    This game hit me emotionally on so many levels. The world building is so incredibly done. The inclusions of the new characters and factions breathes new air in to the world and the gameplay feels extremely fluid. The story takes you on an emotional journey that comes only once every few years. I thoroughly enjoyed this game.

    Story: now here is were people can and do deviate, I loved the story when playing with ellie so a 7 for me because i didnt care much for abby as a main character,

    if you actually sit through it, the events are earned you just have to get passed the part where you know who dies and give it a chance, it is totally subjective tho so this one could in fact be 0 for some people

    My score: (10+10+10+9+7)/5 = 9.2

    and IMO the lowest one could rate this game is (9+9+9+5+0)/5 = 6.4

I really enjoyed this experience and don't understand how people have been giving such low scores. The gameplay is vastly improved from the first game. Playing as Abby is a completely different experience from playing as ellie. It allows you to think more outside of your comfort zone and what youre used to. Abby does not have a knife like Ellie so it allows you to craft shows like joel had to do in the first game. The small amount of new mechanics that were added such as jumping and dodging may seem small but really give you a fleshed out and more realistic experience. The story is really solid for most of the game. Although it is hard to be invested in the story upon the second part of the game. They really do a good job with Abby's story and eventually make you come around and start to like her as a character also there was a hotline Miami reference which is 100 extra points.… Expand

I don't mean in the sense of its graphic violence (you're going to see a lot of mutilation) , but more that while each character is relatable they are often acting in hard to stomach ways. It makes the first game seem light as a daisy.

    Now, if that sounds swell to you great, but I don't really need a misery simulator in my life so it loses a couple of points and much as I think the game is in someways a masterpiece I won't replay it, if ever, for a very long time.

    Final note - If you check the date of all the negative reviews most were posted on the day of release. It's a 30 hour long game. It's just review bombing because leaks for the story were released on-line and a vocal group of man-children spat their dummies out. Ignore.    … Expand

When you read both sides of the story, when you learn about the conditions that led to actions which seemed evil you may sympathize with the villain. Maybe every one of us is a villain in somebody's story. I guess this game explores the boundaries between the good and the evil in a merciless apocalyptic world. Personally I would pick the same choices the scenarist made me do during the game. Thanks for this beautiful game even though I would have preferred a different closure to the first game...… Expand

The main issue with this game is obvious to anybody who's played this, it's Abby, sure I hated her at first, but after understanding her I didn't mind her by the end. And the ending, which most people despised, was very poetic in my opinion, Ellie at that moment realized that she needed to break the cycle that she, Joel, & Abby have been in since the end of the last of us. also the graphics & the gameplay is some of the best i've ever seen ever. So overall, The Last Of Us Part II is not as good as The Last Of Us, but it's honestly kind of close. And I do understand all the criticism the game's been getting lately, but in all honesty, I haven't really changed my mind after hearing.… Expand

    The game mostly suffers from the story. Specifically the order in which the story is told, since I believe the finished narrative is actually great and ends fittingly to what was built up over the course of about 25 hours. On that note, the game has a much different feel to it compared to the first one (as in that it is significantly darker), which is by far not a bad thing and executed quite well, but I understand how it could have caught people off guard.
    However, there is one fight towards the end of the game that was kind of off putting and interfered with my immersion, but I understand what Naughty Dog was going for and I would not constitute it as grounds for the whole game being bad.

    To address the "pandering" aspect that is often criticized, i understand how SJW can appear obnoxious in the same way that anything else can be obnoxious when overdone. The matter was however handled very maturely and shouldn't be an issue whatsoever.
    Other than Ellie being gay (which was already established in the first part) and having a bisexual girlfriend (which was actually foreshadowed by Ellie being **** GAY), there is a 13 year old character that was born a girl but appears as a boy in every other significant way. Her gender is in no way shoved in the players face.
    There is also a woman, which some assume to be trans simply because she is muscular yet there are flashbacks where she is shown as a girl.

    It is kind of sad how this game was review bombed even before the game was released and I can't think of an honest/realistic justification to rate the overall experience anything less than mediocre.
    I read the leaks after I finished the game and while true, they are taken out of context and heavily and unsupportedly interpreted upon.

    Feelings: 5/10 This game is great, but I did not feel very good at some moments of the gameplay. I wanted even to stop playing. I smiled sometimes during the gameplay, but those smiling were referred to the flashbacks to the first part of the game. I did not fell satisfied after playing the second part.

    The final verdict: 7-8/10 Yes, that is not what we expected. I took 2-3 points from 10, because of the characters, plot and lack of opportunity to choose the ending. I recommend it for playing for everybody, but you do not have to compare it to the first part. These are two different games, unfortunately, in a bad way.

    The story in dark, interesting, bold, ambiguous.... it creates interest.
    The worst part for me is the duration (10 hours less would have been better) and the monotonous mechanics... not really providing any innovation in 2020

    Un jeu très bien écrit très bien fait, une ambiance visuelle et sonore à coupé le souffle...
    Je suis joueurs plustot PC et Xbox donc mon jugement n'est clairement pas limité à mon fanatisme XDD ce jeu est un chef-d'oeuvre un grand bravo à Naughty Dog pour cette suite !

I really don't know what to say, it is a masterpiece or some gruesome, depressing movie that spits in your **** face al the way. First of all, I want to talk about everything except the story. The graphics are amazing. My 6 years old poor Ps4 can show something incredible, I could not believe in it. But it has minor issues such as popping details and textures in front of you. The gameplay almost the same, however, it is really upgraded with motion matching technology and you can see love and care of devs in every NPC, zombie, they are looking amazing. Some of the people say: "This is boring, throw bottle there, kill him, shoot there, go find supplies blah blah blah", do not listen to them, it is a pure lie, the gameplay is actually fascinating, especially on higher difficulty. While playing The last of us part 2, I saw so many ridiculous features and details I could not believe my eyes, but when you want to destroy a bottle ( not a throwable), lamp, burn a car, burn a tent, blow up a piece of furniture, shoot off a gun or walk on corpses, you cannot do this and it's really **** upsetting. All those crunches and years for what? For **** carpet, if you barely walk by, it will be lifted by air(first zombie encounter in Jackson(Ellie)), the blood and gore sure look dope. Music is a masterpiece( at least it was not ruined). They decided to change Gustavo Santaolalla to Mac Qualey for more intense moments such as hordes, car chase, horse chase and so on. Now the story. Two hours seems peaceful( not Abby's sequence) until Joel's horrible death. Okay, I get it, **** revenge at all cost. The first part of the game we play as our beautiful Ellie then after Jesse's death we play as **** fridge till the end to know her backstory and her not related to the story path. Okay, I will swallow it too. IT WAS SO **** LONG AND UNINERESTING SEQUENCE I wanted to speedrun it. When I understood that I will have to beat the crap out of Ellie, GODDAMN ELIEE by the **** muscle fridge, I wanted to delete this game. I wanted revenge so much. After a while, I met Abby, started fighting with her. She would have almost drowned but Ellie decided not to kill her. REALLY? Well, I can understand why she chose not to kill her, to break a cycle of violence but it was so poorly written, shown that I cannot help but thinking about the mess Neil made of the story. He should have given us a choice to kill or not to kill the fridge or just kill her to show how revenge is bad and devastating. He should have forgotten that stupid idea of the CycLE of VIoLEnCe because we are killing too many people just not to kill the main target. I could not give it a 0 or 1, or 2, or freaking 3 but solid 8 or 7 'cause this is a masterpiece of everything except some parts of the story.     Gráficos: Supongo que acá nadie me va a poder discutir, gráficamente el juego es increíble, se nota una atención al detalle tanto en personajes como en escenarios que ningún otro juego me ha hecho experimentar. Aunque supongo que en parte esto no sorprende, ya que Naughty Dog siempre se ha caracterizado por hacer juegos con gráficos adelantados a su tiempo desde 1996. Si esto es lo que ND puede hacer de máximo en una PS4, no quiero ni imaginarme en la siguiente generación de consolas. Este es de lejos posiblemente el unico juego con gráficos fotorrealistas (o lo mas cercano al fotorrealismo). Si es verdad que el juego va a 30 FPS, pero con unos pocos minutos de gameplay uno se acostumbra.
    Jugabilidad: La jugabilidad del primer TLOU era bastante simple pero algo competente, siendo un juego de sigilo/accion que honestamente, le faltaba pulirse, y la IA y la falta de explotacion de la misma jugabilidad era algo que hacia que el primer juego no me llamara tanto la atencion como a otros si. Sin embargo, TLOU2 mejora enormemente la jugabilidad al punto de que incluso es uno de mis juegos de sigilo favoritos. Aunque mucho es calcado del primer juego (de hecho, las armas son prácticamente las mismas), tenemos muchísimas mas mejoras para nuestras habilidades que ahora si hacen la diferencia (no como en TLOU1), la IA mejoro enormemente, constantemente comentando cosas dependiendo de lo que el jugador haga y también tenemos muchas mas opciones para el sigilo. Ademas de tener muchas opciones de accesibilidad que siempre son muy bien recibidas en cualquier videojuego. Si es verdad que se podria aprovechar todavia mas, como por ejemplo el sistema de mejoras, pero definitivamente es mejor que la del primer juego.
    Historia: Voy a ser totalmente honesto, la historia del primer TLOU si bien me pareció bastante buena, no era una de mis favoritas, de hecho, yo nunca conecte con Joel en el primer juego. Y debido a que la historia del segundo da un cambio bastante brusco (aunque ND siempre suele dar cambios bruscos en sus segundas partes por lo que no me sorprende) realmente la he disfrutado mas. El juego esta dividido en 2 partes, la historia con Ellie y la historia de Abby. Obviamente no contare todo ya que es demasiado largo, sin embargo, creo que ambas historias en general están bastante bien, he llegado a conectar con Abby de forma exitosa (cosa que como ya dije con Joel en el primero no). Se nota claramente que el juego quiere contar una historia de venganza en el que tengamos pena por ambos personajes, y el punto de Abby se cuenta perfectamente, o casi. Yo creo que el problema de la historia no es Abby como muchos dicen, sino Ellie, ya que ella claramente esta mucho mas cegada por la venganza que Abby, matando a muchos mas miembros del otro grupo y cuando Abby la perdona por segunda vez al final, Ellie sigue queriendo llevar su venganza a cabo, cosa que esto no me cuadro del todo (junto con el final) y tampoco me gustaron ciertas escenas flashback que se hacen algo pesadas y aburridas (aunque algunas si están bastante buenas). No culpare al que diga que este juego parece una telenovela. Sin embargo, creo que la historia de Abby junto con la relación que lleva entre Mel, Lev y Yara principalmente fue la mejor parte.
    Lo que si también note de la historia es que se siente forzada, sin embargo no es algo que tomare en cuenta puesto que si bien esta forzada en muchas partes lo cierto es que luego lo que te cuentan se puede hacer interesante así que se lo perdono (salvo el final como ya dije).
    En general, la historia de TLOU2 no es perfecta ni mucho menos, y de hecho hubiera falta extender un poco mas el final que se siente incompleto, así como contar un poco mas sobre las luciérnagas, la cura, u otros temas que quedaron vacíos en el primer juego y que el segundo no quiere explicarlo por abarcar la venganza como tema principal de la historia. Sin embargo, eso no quiere decir que no la haya disfrutado, de hecho, la disfrute mucho mas que la primera entrega.
    Conclusión: Debo ser sincero de nuevo, yo soy de los que piensan que el primer juego esta algo sobrevalorado, y es por eso que esta segunda entrega se infravaloro bastante, simplemente por que elimina la simplicidad de la que bebía la primera entrega y la hace un poco mas compleja ademas de cambiar muchas cosas que puedo entender que a la gente no le haya gustado esos cambios, sin embargo, el juego objetivamente no es malo, de hecho, aun si la historia fuese legítimamente mala, el juego lo seguiría considerando bueno, con una jugabilidad bastante competente en su genero (aunque muy mejorable) y gráficos que me atrevería a decir que hasta ahora son los mejores que he visto a nivel técnico y eso que hablamos de una consola no tan potente lanzada en 2013. TLOU2 en mi opinión personal supera en todos los apartados al primer juego.    … Expand

    Level design Is second to none here, players are heavily rewarded for their exploration and the areas are so big it is one step away from being a true open world. I've lost count of the amount of times i've finished a fight and then saw another piece of terrain I could have used and wanted to re-do the fight again.

    The story is absolutely fantastic, we can truly see the motivations of each side of the argument and are reminded that there is no such thing as good and bad in this world. Abbys plight is as important as Ellie's but there is also things to be learnt on both sides. Abby is a fantastic character with much the same motivations as Ellie and it's really interesting to see the story play out from both sides.

    I honestly couldn't recommend this game enough. Fans of the original will find all the same mini interactions and attention to detail that they loved in the first game, mixed in with a satisfying update to the combat and a thrilling story that will leave you bloodthirsty.

Sin embargo lo que más destaco de este juego (una vez más en un juego de ND) es el carisma de sus personajes. Que logres empatizar con Abby, el personaje que mató a uno de los personajes que más quisiste en este mundo de los videojuegos como lo es Joel, es un ejemplo claro de que ND esta a otro nivel en el tema de desarrollo de personajes. I can write paragraphs on why some of the common complaints I've heard aren't that big of a deal, but I'll digress for the sake of conciseness. The main issue with the story is the pacing. There are huge swaths of gameplay inbetween the progression of the plot. The first game had the benefit of being about the relationship between Ellie and Joel, where the interactions between the two during gameplay is also plot relevant. Part two is about revenge, and while one could say that the plot is furthered by her slaughter of countless people just to get her revenge, this is a lot less compelling than watching a relationship develop in front of you. The former is more amorphous and harder to see the changes in her character. I know a lot of people like to think that the longer a game, the better it is because you are getting more entertainment for your money. But I think this game would have benefited if it cut content, such that it can tell a tighter story and not have gameplay slow the pacing of its narrative to a boring crawl. But the story takes risks, which I respect and the dialogue is well written. The characters do lack the charm that Ellie had in the first game, but they have a grounded like-ability to them. I can believe that these are real people and not just characters in a video game.

    On the gameplay side of things, it's very similar to the first game and boy do Naughty Dog know how to make engaging gameplay. The game makes sure that you are getting new weapons crafting recipes and enemy types to ensure that you aren't doing the exact same thing over and over. Couple that with the fact that the layout for each encounter is meaningfully different and you'd be hard pressed to get bored of the combat during its run. Contrary to the narrative, the gameplay justifies its length.

    All in all the story was okay. Maybe a 6/10 if I were to be more on the critical side. But it had a point to it and a message to say. They didn't make it to please everyone and if we want to say that games are art (as I believe) then that's okay. But the gameplay more than makes up for it. It is fun even if they apparently don't like to use that word.    … Expand

    Почему высший бал? А почему бы и нет!

    Другие пользователи без основательно занизили оценки этой игры и не потому что там плохой сюжет, графика, есть повестка, персонажи которые не всем приятны... Причина в том что гейм сообщество обижено на Нила Дракмана и ничего более умного они не смогли придумать как насрать заниженными оценками. "Оставьте нас, *****, в покое", так написал Нил в своем обращении к фанатам на негативные высказывания и его можно понять, 7 долгих лет они трудились и вкладывали душу в разработку этой игры, но потом кто-то плюнул этим людям в лицо и слил часть геймплея, после чего игроки стали делать догадки и вырвали все из контекса, чего не стоило делать категорически. На месте студии и Нила я бы отреагировала также, просто очень обидно за команду Naughty Dog. Я еще не успела поиграть, пока нет возможности купить игру, но в ближайшее время обязательно сделаю это, пройду игру от и до и лишь потом поставлю настоящую оценку. Первую часть я проходила впервые в этом году 2020, мне потребовалось пройти ее три раза чтобы оценить по настоящему.
