    What a great game, I had a blast going through it. The gameplay is fun and innovative, and the story is extremely well-written, I read it over and over to myself every day. The art style is just very dark and meek so I don't really like it that much, but everything else was very nice and well-done. I absolutely love Abby, she is very strong, kid, and graceful. Fantastic characters, a deep perspective on human life, entangled choices, and what constitutes as moral and just in a world where blind ideologues are prepared to kill or be killed.     I had this game spoiled for me prior to it’s release, and almost got on the hate bandwagon like so many others. Luckily, due to my respect for the original game and what Naughty Dog has made in the past, I gave this a shot. I’m happy to say that it is one of the best games I’ve ever played. The story will engage you, exhaust you, and challenge you like no other. It pushes the envelope onI had this game spoiled for me prior to it’s release, and almost got on the hate bandwagon like so many others.     Evolui tudo em relação ao primeiro no quesito gameplay e a história se torna muito mais intimista, violento e com uma palavra que incomoda muita gente, consequência, as atitudes dos personagens importam e isso no decorrer da história é incrível

    For starters, the game does many things well. The level of detail in this game is nothing short of incredible.     For starters, the game does many things well. The level of detail in this game is nothing short of incredible. One of my favorite parts of the first game was uncovering the story of Ish in the sewers. TLOU2 is filled with intriguing short stories like that which make the world feel alive, as though it has a history. Uncovering these little mysteries through the artifacts and environment may have been my favorite part of the game. While I’m no expert when it comes to graphics, the PS4 Pro version had the best (most realistic) graphics I’ve ever seen.

    For the most part, the gameplay is great and an improvement over the original. The dodge mechanic is a very welcome addition that opens up options in combat for Ellie in particular. I also appreciate how infected and humans are no longer perfectly outlined in listen mode. Depending on where you’re at in the story, you will find your approach to combat change, and it’s fun to mix it up at that point. My only gripe with the combat is that is feels slightly delayed. If you’ve played the first game, you’re aware of the infamous brick/bottle throw + melee combo. In TLOU2, the animation to grab and throw the bottle feels much slower than in TLOU1, often resulting in death, and it’s frustrating on higher difficulties where this strategy is essential.

    Of course, the most important part of TLOU2 is the narrative. This is where the controversy lies, and there’s little I can say about it that hasn’t been said already. Personally, I didn’t love the direction the game took, but I was still impressed by what Naughty Dog accomplished and applaud their boldness. In a world of bland cookie cutter sequels, Naughty Dog dared to take a risk. For me, the risk paid off. While the phrase “go into it with an open mind” is often a red flag, in this case it’s important for you to do so. Don’t be taken in by people telling you what to think—I encourage you to come to your own conclusions. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy the game as much as I did. My main gripe with the narrative (unrelated to the story direction) is that the game felt bloated at times, and a little longer than it should have been. The pacing would have benefitted if the first half was trimmed somewhat. By the end I was exhausted, which hampered my enjoyment a bit, but this became less of an issue on my second playthrough.

    TLOU2 is a game that challenges you in a way no game I’ve played before or since has. It challenges your humanity and empathy, and urges you to understand that we’re all the heroes in our own story. Ultimately, that’s what The Last of Us is all about.    … Expand

    What a great game ... I have never experienced so many emotions and experiences from a game. The Last Of Us 2 evokes the maximum range of emotions. The plot, characters, gameplay, visuals - everything is done at an amazing level. The Last Of Us 2 is an example of how games should be made. Best Game of 2020.

    It's depressing and gives you no catharsis, but it really hit home for me. I loved the characters, including the new ones. Especially I loved Lev.

    The game is not perfect, it has some pacing issues, and could trim some fat, but i think the other parts are amazing. Obviously, the graphics, acting, mocap, details, and gameplay is absolutely top notch, but I, personally, also love the story, but it realize that it is a bit hit or miss.    … Expand

    As an absolute fanboy of Part 1, I bought this game on release and played it with massive intrepidation following the mixed reviews and rumours. Frankly I thought it was OK.     That being said, nearly a year later, I played it again, this time on grounded+ difficulty. What. An. Experience. In hindsight I notice that whilst the enemies haven't improved since Part 1, the player has access to a whole new arsenal of weapons and abilities, and it gives the player a much greater advantage over at least the infected enemies. This can create a discord between the story and the player's experience as, unlike Part 1 where you played as an experienced, capable man, in Part 2 you are playing as a vulnerable teenager and being able to efficiently despatch enemies with ease makes it difficult to relate to the vulnerability that the game's story is portraying. Playing on grounded+ definitely repaired this.
    After playing Part 2 on the hardest difficulty, I can confidently say I experienced the absolute roller-coaster of emotions that I expected after playing Part 1 and I really felt immersed in the story. What a technical, emotional, masterpiece. Can't wait for Part 3!!!    … Expand

    I don't know why people get upset about the story, It was completely well developed. The story gave us a full view of every character, the happy life of Joel after Part I, and a great vengeance story for both characters Ellie and Abby. The loss, the pain, and the emotion showed in the game are even better than any movie.     I believe a lot of the negativity is because of a new character that is introduced in this game. She is seen as morally evil by many, and people hate her for something that she did without looking at it from her perspective. If you put yourself in her shoes and imagine her actions from her point of view, she's actually more justified in her actions than the beloved main character (who does much worse things).

    I also believe many people don't like this character because she has a stronger and more masculine build, which unfortunately is unliked by many gamers who want petite and therefore "more pretty" women. Many have shamed her body type and even went so far as to send threats to her voice actress. Clearly, there are deeper issues than gameplay behind the bad reviews.

    Continuing on, the game shows the player that blind rage and seeking revenge is not the right solution to every problem, as it will often lead you nowhere. Many people missed the moral behind the game, however, saying that trying to get vengeance keeps leaving you with nothing. That's the point. The developers want the player to feel that way, many just didn't like how it felt. Looking deeper than the surface is important for the enjoyment of this game, and I am surprised by how many people can't seem to figure it out.

    This game was spectacular. I hope the negative reviews do not drive you away. Even if you think you won't like it, give it a chance. Worst you can do is just put down the controller.    … Expand

    The game is thriling and keeps you alert during many sections. The graphics are great and the story takes you to see things from different perspectives. It's one of my most favourite games.

    The game hurt me, but then calmed me down a bit. Then again half the game pissed me off, but that's exactly what she wanted. leave me depressed and appreciate bad emotions. I don’t think the game is perfect, but for me it brought enough emotions.

    I've never felt compelled to go on-line and review a game until playing this game. I played the first one back on PS3 and bought this one about a year or so ago and just got around to playing it(wife and I had a baby so been a little busy). Everything about this game is amazing, the story is compelling, game play is amazing and graphics are beautiful.     Tuve la oportunidad de jugarlo ahora, es muy bueno me gusto su jugabilidad, no me gusto tanto que te obligan a empatizar con Abby, pero lo hice igualmente, lo único que no me gusto son los flashbacks de ahí todo bien.

    The best game I've ever played so far the the characters just feel real they r alive this game literally broke my heart the story is something else the compat is so real it feels like playing a movie it's on a higher level than other games they nailed it

    After playing this game twice, watching all cutscenes & seeing how good the story was, i had realized that i had played a masterpiece.
    No, tlou 2 is not against homosexualism
    Ellie was lesbian since the first game, lol.
    Yes, joel's death was neccesary to provide ellie a purpose to kill abby.
    Abby's story was quite well for me.
    Good Game, misunderstood & good story.

    This is my favorite game of all time. Story is great, characters are amazing, the music and the environment is breath taking. The game is a emotional rollercoaster and gives me amazing vibes. It’s a masterpiece.

Personalmente siento que el sigilo y los combates mejoraron mucho con solo perfeccionar la IA. Hay varias zonas que el juego te fuerza a pasar sin pelear con un solo enemigo cara a cara y están muy bien llevadas.

    The game is wonderful (in its characters, its story, its gameplay among others) its entire story agrees very well with its first installment and this one is incredible.
    I would play it as many times as necessary since it is very entertaining and satisfying, it also teaches us an incredible moral that helps and determines people.

    Definitivamente merecedor del juego del año, The last of us 2 es un excelente juego a pesar de la mala recibida que tuvo que de gente que a mi impresión no se tomo la libertad de jugarlo por (spoilers) la muerte de Joel que después de todo lo que hizo es bastante lógico que le llegara a pasar lo que vimos en el juego. La historia es muy buena, los gráficos exentes, el gameplay igual. Ellie had a motivation so powerful, she would not stop until she accomplish it, and when she’s about to, something has changed...

    By the end of the game, Ellie’s not the same girl she was at the beginning of it. You can discover that by playing the game you’re talking crap ab. I mean eventually, you even know the names and some sort of background cute story of the dogs you kill with Ellie.

    You can’t ignore the nature of the horrors that occurs in this game, but still it all appeals to humanity. And that’s strangely wholesome.

    SPOILERS: Even though I disliked it at first, being able to play as Abby was incredible. Much like the writing in game of thrones I ended up understanding the perspective of who I thought had been the villain. The true villain in this game is the setting, forcing characters into terrible decisions.

    I felt sad at the end, but I respect the ballsy choices and I had a hell of a fun time playing it. I also felt like the characters truly developed (sometimes in horrible ways). This game is a story of a tragedy, and I know gamers aren't used to that. It would be better reviewed by a film audience I'm sure.    … Expand

    Fantastic game from start to finish. A lot of people may not have liked the direction the game took but I thought it was refreshingly forward in its direction. Other than some choppy frames towards the end of the game it was a brilliant experience

Gameplay is an improvement since the first one and remains satisfying. The soundtrack is simply beautiful. The atmosphere, visuals and attention to detail is top notch here. The main divisive aspect of the game is its story. While I loved the way the story went, I found it to be incohesive compared to the first game. The new characters introduced mainly exist to push Ellie forward in her journey and lack any personality. The ending could have been justifiable if Ellie wasn't so bloodthirsty throughout the game. The game's impact starts to wear off due its long duration (about 25 hours).… Expand
