    Love this game, a masterpiece like all Sony exclusives. The story is very harsh and unexpected might be too harsh for people who are watching too much Netflix. I would put it 9 but put 10 because of lying reviews over here.

    Beautifully tragic. An emotion grappling story about morally ambiguous survivors, doing what they believe needs to be done to overcome grief, trauma and loss. Plenty of darkness with glimmers of hope and light. This sequel stayed painfully true to it’s characters and most importantly, the world created in the first game.

    The last of us is the apex of virtual story telling. It consinuoisly makes you uncomfortable with decisions you have to take and you become ambivalent about your own feelings.     I am sure that many simply did not understand this game. I really liked The Last of Us 2. Largely because of the plot. He's definitely not bad. The game has a lot of unique mechanics, there is a unique physics of shooting, a unique presentation of the plot.

    absolutely brilliant game. perfect. exciting. sometimes fear and sometimes tears. absolutely worth your time taking a break from the real world for hours. an outstanding and wonderfully conducted history, phenomenal in every way. For me, the top 5 of everything I've played in my life.

    Just finished playing it. What an intelligent and intriguing ending... What a feat of writing such complex and authentic characters and what a staging. I've never experienced anything like that. And what a great idea to convey both sides of the story so intensely and to create this fascinating dichotomy in me. An absolute masterpiece for me.

    All i can say is that this game is a masterpiece and changed the way i look at games now. The story is just memoreable a story that you will not forget any time soon, very emotinal, but very rough and depressing and i get it the story is not for everyone you will need to have some gut to finish the game but all and all i simply loved it i think that this game is the only game that made me think over the story even 1 or 2 weeks after i finished it. The game is just dripping with atmosphere one of the most atmospheric game i have ever played purely outstanding. The combat is so fun, satisfying and intense and it has the best stealth combat i have seen in a video game and the atmosphere makes it that way. Aaaand the wolrd...is just too beautiful...with tons and tons, and i mean it, of details is just amazing. I really think that this game is a masterpiece and is so sad that some people rated this with a 0...this game just don't deserve this...ok i get it you dont like the story but how the hell you rate 0/10 a game whith a quality like this really now..Recommend this game at any time 10/10!… Expand

The Last of Us Part II is a masterpiece, even if all the pain towards our favorite characters bothered me the game manages to bring out emotions that you would not feel in any other existing video game, it goes from moments of happiness to moments of pain pure.     The amount of hate this game is getting is really silly at this point, I get that people don't like some writing decisions in this sequel, but there's no reason to trash the game because of it, they made some bold choices, and it all worked for me.

For me this game was my favourite game but than you must play with abby. I hated abby but the levels were good.I missed ellie when I played as abby.Ellie is a perfect character and but they give her just 12 hours gameplay that is dum. All in alll i like the gameplay and playing as ellie was fantastic. I still hate abby but that is just my opinion the story telling was very good.… Expand

    Aside from a rich story, this game contains the best graphics on the PlayStation 4, I've played this on the PlayStation 5 and the game is just fantastic. It has won a lot of awards and Game of The Year from multiple critics. Rightly so, this is a masterpiece.

A 10/10 is for the quality and closeness to perfection. Intense realistic gameplay accompanied with one of the best if not the best graphics and animations i have ever seen in a game, story can be.....debatable but its dark and depressing for the most part along with a pacing that doesn't suit everyone but for the people whom it suits (like me) it makes this game feel as good as the first part (if not better).… Expand

    Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog are the bravest creators I've seen in the last couple of decades. They were the people who used to create commercial AAA projects to sell to sony fans. And they used all their credit collected through the years and all of their resources to create a masterpiece, to show their fans what is the real art of game design, script writing and visual style.

    I can understand that for somebody it may be a masterpiece and others not, but there is no such thing as this game has 5.7 by users, a game that deserves a rating between 9.5 and 10.
    Maybe, MAYBE, the only "negative point" is longevity, for somebody the story may seem a bit elongated, but not for everyone.

Sure in the beginning I hated it too as she killed Joel. Then you play as her for almost half the game and towards the end I cared so much for the Abby that I prayed Ellie didn't kill Abby. For a game to make me like the villain and sympathize with her was great and a different thing naughty dog did. Yes Joel dying sucked and I was heartbroken about it and then you can see why Abby did it as she loved her dad and wanted retribution and overall she was a good person. This game was special because you played as the main guy and the villain and for me I wanted them both to survive which created moral dilemmas which was very difficult but in a good way. Pero la esencia del juego no es eso, esta segunda entrega te ofrece una historia interesante, con un esmeradísimo desarrollo de personajes, que te obliga a encariñarte con los mismos. Por otro lado el trabajo de musicalización de "Gustavo Santaolalla" es magistral y sin duda no recuerdo un trabajo asíEl juego en términos generales es "bueno", no brilla por mecánicas de combate frenéticas.     Superb in every way. The story was as gripping and emotive as the first. The gameplay was superior. Anyone giving this game less than 6 obviously isn't being sincere. The gameplay and graphics are worth 6/10 even if you don't like the story or characters.

    I just finished "The Last of Us Part II", right after I finished the original "The Last of Us". I have never played on consoles before, and I bought the new PS5 with the express purpose of playing these 2 games (which are PS    I usually do not write reviews, but I felt the user score for TLoU2 is unfairly low, I want to convince you, dear reader, to give this game an honest look.

    I just finished "The Last of Us Part II", right after I finished the original "The Last of Us". I have never played on consoles before, and I bought the new PS5 with the express purpose of playing these 2 games (which are PS exclusives). I had two factors playing against the games: (a) I have zero ability playing with controllers, especially in shooting games and (b) I hate horror, survival horror included. Both factors mean I should be doubly challenged in playing both games, let alone play them to completion. And still, for me both of them but more specifically "The Last of Us Part II" was an absolute masterpiece. I am still reeling from the effects of the experience. I understand why people might be upset with it. We are creatures that need to identify the us vs them, and when that line gets mixed up, we don't like it. And this game had so many mix-ups, on so many levels, it frustrated people who prefer a clean cut security on their feelings and attachments. I felt it as so human, so deep, and so full of interloped, layered messages and meanings, at the end I was left crying for *all* characters (and I never cry with games). Games like TLoU2 are truly rare accomplishments on any medium, not just videogaming. If I had to buy PS5 and not be allowed to play any other games on it other than TLoU & TLoU2, it would still be a bargain.    … Expand

It was only after I had finished playing through it and understood the true meanings and messages. This is a perfect sequel to the first title, but it will only seem so if you think of the events in TLOU2 as genuine and realistic outcomes following the events of the first game. What you really have to understand is that the world of TLOU isn’t solely based around Joel and Ellie. At the end of the day, everyone is trying to survive. While the first game had beautiful moments and justifies the difficult moments with the pretext of loving someone, this game makes the effort to make you feel like you are tripping over the same rock again and again. Ellie makes her decisions with a blinded view, but unlike you’d expect from most mainstream entertainment media, she does make it cool to be wrong, she is just keeps make mistake after another and that made me feel static or stagnant. Apart from that, the gameplays feel really good, haven’t found but only one bug in the hole game. Graphics look incredible. Sounds and scenery are believable. The only down side is that you spend a big amount of time playing as Abby and only at the end of the game you are able to understand why that was made like that, but during the gameplay it can get boring.… Expand

    After playing the game and finishing the campaign I see why it won game of the year 2020. From the story to the characters to the open world aspect to the overall fun and action I loved this game couldnt have made a better game

The Last of Us Part II is an Amazing game, I know that many people did not agree with Joel dying at the beginning of the game and not a lot of people do not understand the ending. This is the best game that Naughty spent THE LAST seven years working on. Even though many people hated Abby killing Joel, this is what created the plot to the game and even though I did not agree with Ellie's actions it will still be the greatest game by Naughty Dog. To those people that review-bombed this negatively, go get a life because Naughty Dog worked so hard these last seven years to create this game. Many you are upset and confused for playing as Abby for the second part of the game, the death of Joel, and the lengths that Ellie's goes to get her revenge.     No other game has provoked so many emotions as this one and not always pleasant. It forces to feel and deal with themes in the same way as the characters. The zero's scores are from the pain and anger that it generates, and I understand them. When a character dies, we feel it. When we presence a loving character going in a dark path, we suffer. The way it's presented is cruel and real. It isn't a pleasant game. It makes you think about the people you have lost, the decisions you make, the way you empathise with others, etc. It really questions your humanity.

    TLOU focus on the generation that was born before apocalypse. The stories are mostly told through them: Joel, Tess, Marlene, Bill, Henry, David. They justify their methods, ideals and violence in a world full of infected in order to survive. Ellie is the hope for the humankind and Joel is a teacher and father.

    TLOU2 focus on how the new generation, that have never seen a different world and, has inherit the same ideals and violence. It focus on their pains and lack of purpose in life. After all, what can you aspire to be in this world? Can you choose your own path? Can you find a purpose that doesn't require some sort of violence? Are you even allowed to be good or happy?

    We, as players, are forced to experience this. Not always we agreeing with the characters, the story forces us to enter on the same mindset of pain, anger, hate, violence and, all of a sudden, in the middle of the game, it requested you to step out of it... Oh, boy!

    Naughty dog took a huge risk here. In my opinion, it totally works. I don't know any other medium that can push themes out of the story and put it on your hands and hearth. You have a decision at that point. Would you conquer your anger and pain and continue to play, or do you shutdown and refuse to let them go?

    This game is a prove of what this form of art can do. It pushes the boundaries of this art to another level. I understand the negatives reviews from what it makes us feel, special if you cannot handle with distress. Games have been strongly tied with feeling good emotions and escape. TLOU2 does nothing of that. In my opinion, studios should be encourage to do more of this: breaking the expectations and bring something new.

    I'm a casual player and I play mostly story driven games. I'm also passionate about storytelling in cinema and tv series. What Naughty dog did here was to tell a story that could never been told, the way it was told, in a different medium. They clearly understand how to evoke emotions and tight them together with the gameplay and design. I love stories and they told me a beautiful one, through a fantastic game. If you are planning to play it, get some extra tissues first. :)    … Expand

I'm a huge fan of the first game and have a soft spot for Joel and Ellie; so when I saw all the bombing when the leaks came out, I tried avoiding them because I wanted to play it for myself a see.     il fondamento di questa narrazione è l'UMANITA' in tutte le sue sottigliezze e sfumature, non ci sono eroi, i personaggi fanno errori, hanno emozioni che li portano a compiere determinate azioni spesso sbagliate, nessuno ha più ragione dell'altro e questo porta il giocatore a immedesimarsi nei personaggi, osservarli e infine comprenderli.
    Passiamo oltre alla trama che, nonostante la sua immensità nelle tematiche, potrebbe non essere apprezzata.
    Anche dal lato puramente "tecnico" è monumentale: graficamente ha portato la next gen sulle console di vecchia generazione riuscendo a girare magnificamente anche su console datate 2013, e inoltre le espressioni facciali sono al limite del fotorealismo.
    Nonostante il gameplay sia fissato sulle basi di quello del primo capitolo quello di part 2 è totalmente su un altro livello: shoting solido, innumerevoli modi di affrontare le "arene" grazie al level design strabiliante...
    il titolo di naughty dog eccele particolarmente nei piccoli dettagli: i dialoghi fra gli NPC nemici sono fantastici (si scambiano indicazioni, si chiamano fra loro, si agitano quando non sentono la risposta dell'amico che abbiamo appena ucciso, hanno tutti un nome...), sono inoltre presenti grandissime chicche come il riuscire a vedere in lontananza percorsi che verranno affrontati solo ore dopo ponendo il level design del titolo quasi al livello dei giochi di from software.
    In conclusione, secondo me, the last of us part 2 non è solo un capolavoro, è anche una rarità e unicità del mondo videoludico riuscendo a migliorare esponenzialmente ciò in cui il suo predecessore peccava e a elevare a un livello mai visto prima ciò in cui il primo capitolo già eccelleva.    … Expand

Her screenplay is worthy of an Oscar. It gives so many messages, they will be revealed for decades after its release. Ellie didn't lose her humanity - I was very much afraid of the opposite. Each character has its own storyline worked out to the smallest detail. I lived this story together with its heroes. When I turned off the console and went to bed, I thought about the part of the story that I saw. This game makes you think, raise questions in yourself that you have not asked before. She changed me, yes. I think it made me a better person. Is it worth talking about its technical component? Of course your mother! It is made with a huge love for details, little things, its heroes. I don't want to write here about graphics, physics and pictures. What for? This is the standard and the point. Until this holiday when I finally got the chance to play this game for myself and it completely changed my impression. One point off for Tommy inciting Ellie into revenge part and the rest of the plot is nothing but a masterpiece.     This game is the best game I've played so far. The plot is amazing, despite all unbelievably stupid comments. The graphics are amazing (especially comparing to 'next-gen' Cyberpunk) and give players an impression that everything is real. When I played this game, I wanted to replay it! It was such a great pleasure to spend many hours playing this game. Congratulations to Naughty Dog! Keep going!
