    that's like have an avengers/family movie sequel become mature, hard and intellectual suddenly.

    Beautiful and deep, it’s definitely a masterpiece. You think you reached the end but the game keeps going and going... I loved how the story was told.

    Haters are destroying the fun to play lots of games. They are ruining the hard work of good people. TLOUS2 is a work of art, fantastic graphics, great story, world and pace! Phenomenal work from Naughty Dog. Thank you very much for allowing us to experience this work of art.

    I loved this game so freaking much! Honestly, I was not expecting such an interesting story and amazing plots... TLOU2 was a surprise for me, and I had a great time knowing the new characters and playing with Abby.

    Seriously, don't mind with the haters, they're just a bunch of weebs. TLOU2 is a masterpiece, such as the first game was.

    I gotta say... it's a really good game, but the 2nd half drags a lot. It picks up by the ending sections of the game but the actual ending it's what limits this game from being brilliant. You really have to process what happens at the end.

Высокий уровень сложности вообще не почувствовал, тип это предпоследний по сложности вариант и он не вызвал никаких проблем в прохождении, как-то легко. По сюжету даже хз, когда ты уже думаешь, что вот концовочка и тебе дают еще 40%, от всего времени прохождения, бегать за перекаченную бабу. Блять, каждую секунду за нее ждал, когда ее уже ебнут. И вот, казалось бы, конец все Элли с Диной живет счастливо, Эбби с индейцем ебаным. Но нет, надо было все обосрать окончательно, а то сюжет в центре которого тупо месть, не очень смотрится(думали разрабы). Из неожиданных поворотов сюжета, только 2 момента, когда Эбби 2 раз в театре могла ебнуть Элли и Дину, и когда Элли, в конце, могла ебнуть Эбби. Играют в милосердие в мире наполненным насилием, пиздец. Мало того, что Элли не добила ее, она еще и Дину проебала, с Томми поссорилась, бросила Джексон, проебала 2 пальца и в итоге осталась в одиночестве. 0 друзей, 0 смысла жизни и без дома. Ебал я в рот такие концовки, это слишком мрачно. Вместо лишних часов геймплея за Эбби, лучше бы добавили пару миссий в конце, после возвращения Элли из Санта-Барбары, в которых она бы пыталась найти и восстановить отношения с Диной. Такая концовка была бы лучше. Сюжет 6/10. Если лет через 10 появится желание пройти старые игры и я вспомню о серии the last of us, про 2 часть даже думать не буду.… Expand

    This game really provokes thinking about humanity, life, empathy, hatred, and love.
    I am not a fan of "just games" where you brainlessly kill stuff or even sports game or puzzle games. I need games with a story, characters, character development and world building. And TLOU2 has it all! I am not mad about    It's been a few days since I finished the game and I still think about it a lot.

    I am sorry for all the people who are mad now because some idiot leaked the story, and so people didn't have the context or experience of the game as it should have been, and those people go around leaving negative reviews everywhere now... it's sad, but that doesn't make this game worse. Despite of taking some bold moves in creating bizarre and horrific moments that crushed the franchise's original fanbase, it seriously excels in its story telling and character development. Each character including the dogs in the game are memorable, no one feels like a side character. The insane attention to enemy AI, combat,Last of us part 2 is as revolutionary as Metal Gear Solid 1. Despite of taking some bold moves in creating bizarre and horrific moments that crushed the franchise's original fanbase, it seriously excels in its story telling and character development. Each character including the dogs in the game are memorable, no one feels like a side character. The insane attention to enemy AI, combat, dialogues, graphics and optimisation make it one of the most immersive games ever made in the gaming history. Coming to the controversial topic - the story, Naughty Dog has made a perfect example of the flawed nature of humans, not only in a video game, but in real life too, just as you can see some people unnecessarily hating a game for its unconventional plot. And soundtrack - EA could have charged 60 usd extra for including a playable guitar in their 60 usd videogame featuring a 60 usd expansion and 60 usd microtransactions... uff!!!… Expand

    Graphic - really amazing

Ellie - from tlou - who should’ve been killed by a doctor to create a vaccine to a parasite fungus that is devastating the world transforming people in monsters, but saved by a smuggler named Joel. The other is Abby, daughter of the doctor in charge to kill Ellie to create the vaccine. the game creates a parallel where Ellie has her emotional “shield”, and is no able of empathy even towards the people she thinks she loves. Her antagonist has a physical “shield” developing the muscles of her body to a man likes. during your play through the story will oppose one girl to an other - putting the player in the shoes of both - in the pursuit of the ravage. At the end Ellie will be emotionally devastated and her antagonist physically consumed, both victims of blind hate.

This is Naughty Dog's best work to date, and it's an amazing experience for anyone who's a fan of 3rd person narrative adventure games.     I've always had a soft spot for intricate, and thoughtful environments in games. I love getting lost in artificial worlds. I love exploring and immersing myself in games like Tlou2. It makes me want to try 3d art myself.

    Anyone that gives this game a negative review is not being honest or fair. To weight the objective quality of an artwork like this game, and ignore everything it does well; everything it does better than any other work of art before it, is silly and stupid.    … Expand

    After reading some bad reviews I got worried for playing this game. Fortunately I played this awesome game, it is a great sequel for the first one with a breath taking story and amazing looks. Highly recommend it.

    The nerve of Naughty Dog, making Ellie into a non cookie cutter character.

    The negative reviews could also have something to do with what happens to Joel.

It’s a technical, visual, and most importantly storytelling masterpiece presented in a once in a lifetime way. People aren’t being open-minded enough and aren’t getting the message, only jumping on the bandwagon of hate like mindless sheep. Sad really, because this isn’t a “lazy cashgrab”, this is a quality game from a quality studio through and through. I understand why some people might dislike it but my only issue with it would be is pacing sometimes. I think ND did a phenomenal job in showing us both perspectives and as a matter of fact, Abby is my favorite character! The duality of Abby and Ellie, the overall arching message (although not new in on itself but is presented in a masterful way). This is a must play, and a 9.7/10 from me.… Expand

    First the obvious, this is an absolute 'technical' masterpiece, better than anything you'll find on a base PS4 let alone a Pro, even RDR2. I was astounded by the visual detail, swearing    Reviewed on a base PS4 and 35 hours to beat the story on moderate without skipping cut scenes, & seeing each encounter through. No leaks were sought ahead of time, though an important one got spoiled.

    First the obvious, this is an absolute 'technical' masterpiece, better than anything you'll find on a base PS4 let alone a Pro, even RDR2. I was astounded by the visual detail, swearing at how nuts some things are, & this was without the HDR or higher res of a Pro. The animations, the AI, the realism, the way the enemies cry out the names of their fallen friends. If you want a technical showcase, a next gen experience this gen, this game is legit.

    The level of customisation on this console game rivals even a PC game be it visual things, or accessibility things, really excellent. You can even enable a 'journalism mode', slow-mo aiming, or being invisible when crouched, etc, making it possible to be done with the game in 20 hours, probably.

    With these things being said, if any game deserved a fair shot, it’s going to be this one isn’t it? All those Naughty Dog developers working overtime, the dreaded crunch culture we hear YouTube videos tell us about. Just all the crap that led up to the launch. It’s a big unfortunate chain of events for everybody, and nobody wins. That said, this review is for the game, not about Naughty Dog's reaction, leakers or people who talk about leakers, so that's all on that.

    I don’t think this is quite a 10/10 game, but any criticism is aimed at things like its ‘gameplay’ choices, some of its pacing beats, and a few elements in this massive story I didn't gel with.

    To be clear, I don’t have a problem with the overall story itself, but parts of it were daft. It's epic, it's crazy, it has unexpected turns, it's bound to not all jive for everybody. Some people won't like all of it, others will. Some people will like parts of it, but is the game worth experiencing to decide for yourself? Of course it is.

    I could empathise with decisions made by a lot of the characters, & equally feel disappointed in them. There's no 'one' villain or hero in all of this, it's a complex story about the circle of violence and it's a broken brutal world.

    What I had some issue with was some of its pacing. Not that it's a 'long' game, but we do have stretches of walking and talking, interspersed with encounters. It's a hard balance, but at times I felt I was exploring a huge beautiful world & waiting for the next big encounter or thing to happen. If you're going in for a bright father & daughter exploration story who like to go hunting or spending time watching movies, then you're really going to hate this, as it's only some of that.

    A few other notes while playing:

    It's a mostly linear Naughty Dog game. That means the game can move you on its path if you trigger it, & not possible to turn back to check over an area you know you didn’t explore yet. This is a little frustrating as can put reliance on chapter restart, etc

    There's a theme of pregnancy in the game which I thought didn't work, but won't elaborate more because spoilers.

    I didn’t buy Ellie’s connection with Dina (from the trailers) because not enough back story for me. They didn't seem to have chemistry, or was basically Dina making sex faces at Ellie a lot of the time.

    I'm not a fan of having to hold the touch pad button to open the map or having to hold any button to do many basic things, opening doors, etc, but that is what it is, and it's a thing in many games. At least there wasn't as much tapping of buttons this time out.

    I had to restart checkpoint a couple of times from getting stuck in a spot you can’t move from. Which goes to show, as much as you want to delay and polish a game you’ll never make it absolutely 100% full proof, which is understandable. This game is still incredibly polished.

    I dislike how long it takes to patch yourself up for most of the game (bandages) although the upgrade addresses this of course.

    The game is a really dark game in spots, though this can be tweaked in visual settings, but it's still pretty dark.

    Having to keep finger on L1 the whole game whenever you want to run, although didn't heck if there is a toggle to run (there probably is).

    It’s an interesting dynamic having to collect coins and cards collectibles amidst some atrocities occurring. I found it a little amusing after a point anyway.

    The combat is excellent, I really enjoyed it, and the AI was mostly great on the balanced moderate setting. I am scared how nuts it would get on survivor difficulty, and will give it a shot at some point. There's a lot to discuss on combat, animations and AI alone, but should be experienced.

    I also really don't understand the hate that the mid game character switch caused alot of people. I for one was so glad they explored Abby so much. Showing visually and horrifically the realization that everyone lives in their own vacuum of experiences and view them through their own lens and vengeance while powerful, ultimately causes nothing but a cyclical pain. Brilliant work. And Im not even mentioning how incredibly well done the stealth and combat was or the expert sound design work.

    Great work and the divisiveness was welcome. I'll take a narrative that challenges my emotions over an "epic" revenge plot any day.    … Expand

Like others I do have criticisms but this game was an amazing experience that I recommend for any PS4 owner who can handle some heavy themes and violence, it's rare that games will sit with me for days after I've finished it and make me think about alot of things but this one certainly did, this game will definitely captivate you & draw you into the world but the violence and themes will pretty much put you in constant feelings of despair and I mean that as a compliment because I would have hated this even more if it wasn't that type of experience due to the subject matter, there are some lighter moments in there and some Joel/Ellie time to mellow out the player and I enjoyed Dani/Ellie's interactions for the most part so I assure you it's not all doom and gloom, the game has a variety of emotions that it will put through like most other games wont, the way this game captivated me and drew me into the story definitely overcomes some of the critiques I have on certain parts of the game.

    There are a lot of nonsense reviews on here so I'll go into the fake criticisms and some of the legitimate one's.

    In terms of the nonsense one's, I'd say a good 90% of the 1 and 0 rates are made up of the below group of people, just ignore these reviews, 1 and 0's should be dedicated to the very worst of games, even if you don't like story of this, the way the game plays, looks and sounds is well above your usual terrible game.

    In terms of the 3 nonsense types of reviews:

    . People that believe the game is making a political message by having LGBT characters, just because these people don't exist in your bubble doesn't mean they don't exist at all and that it wouldn't be plausible to have these types of characters in this world, how this is taken as a political message is absolute trash just like you people are as human beings for having an issue with it, these people have not played the game and ironically are making a political statement themselves by hate rating it down for the reason's I've mentioned above.

    .People that have just read the leaked spoilers and are just annoyed the story isn't going the way they want it to, again they haven't played the game so the rating is nonsense.

    .XBOX and switch players targeting popular PS4 only games, these people do exist, again haven't not played the game so the 1's and 0's should be ignored.

    Onto the legitimate criticisms, some of which I agree with:

    The way ABBY was incorporated the game is definitely something I agree is mishandled, I understood Abby and her reasons for going after Joel are understandable but just because I can understand it, it doesn't mean she is a likable character and I'm not sure why they thought anyone would want to play as here for multiple hours especially considering when we jumped to Abby was at a completely key part of the game that had been built up for half the game and it kind of felt like this was something I had to get through to get back to where I wanted to go and video games shouldn't feel like chores, I had no issue seeing the other perspective because I felt it was key in what this game was trying to get across but I felt you could of just done the Abby play though in 45 minutes to an hour tops.

    Joel's death, I would agree it was slightly to early but I don't have an issue with them doing it, to tell this revenge story it had to be Joel, it wouldn't have worked with anyone else, in terms of how they did it, it was a little bit of a stretch to buy two pro's in Tommy and Joel easily trusting a brand new group and it was probably a bit to early in the story but it was something I could look past considering some of the quality of the rest of the game.

    In terms of what I loved about this game, the graphics are absolutely incredible and i'm not sure I think of a game that wowed me this much in that regard, I loved the original but I did have a few criticisms on the combat and AI system in that game but I felt they definitely improved it here and it plays/looks really nice, the expressions of the character/facial animation are fantastic and express what the characters are feeling really well.

    I think Ellies part of the story is great and was completely captivated by the ride she took the player on, in terms of Abby's side I did enjoy the Scar island part, mainly because of some of the great visuals and fight scenes when all hell breaks loose.

    Some of the little things like the sound design of some of the violence was a great touch, the stealth kills felt more personal when you had other enemies yelling out their names reminding you that your not just killing robots but actual people who have loved one's, the way some of the more gruesome scenes were done really well and did a great job of making the player uncomfortable, little things like this game me more engrossed in a story.    … Expand

    If you didn't enjoy the game, you simply are an average homophobic / male chauvinist.

    Excelente story, a lot of characters, more gore, better gameplay that its predecessor. When a character dies, dies, nothing of cliche deaths.

    The story with Abby is awesome, you can properly connect with the character and understhand she.

    10/10 masterpiece.

    Then the end wasn’t what I expected, a lot of hype for the game and really, not that great.
    It’s good, you could play it, but, don’t get high expectatives in the story finale.

    Graphics 10/10 one of the best graphics Music 8/10 really the last of us 1 had a great soundtrack but the last of us 2 doesn’t have like a track that i would remember, only the singed songs

    Gameplay 9/10 it’s the same strange layout from the last of us 1 but they included new things like crawl, dodge and jump so, it’s cool and new/old weapons from the previous game

Y no es que haya igualado mis expectativas, sino que las ha superado, llegando a un nivel superior en lo narrativo, nunca antes visto en un videojuego.
    Yendo por partes, en lo técnico es casi perfecto, llevando al máximo la máquina de Sony, temiendo a veces por su vida cuando no sabía si lo que estaba escuchando en mi cuarto era el ventilador de PlayStation 4 o un reactor nuclear.
    El nivel de las expresiones faciales y animaciones son de next gen. Escenas totalmente reales gracias a esto. Pueden decir o transmitir sentimientos solo con las muecas de la cara. Detalles implementados como las físicas de los objetos que llevan al siguiente escalón a los videojuegos.
    La iluminación es de locos, con las llamas, el sol o la luz de una bengala atravesando árboles, motas de polvo, los mismos personajes o esporas, dejándote embobado con cada nivel que vas avanzando. Sin dejar atrás las texturas, de un nivel casi fotorrealista en charcos, barro, coches o cristales. Para mí se ha llegado al techo de esta generación, ha llevado al límite a la consola. Hace necesario un salto generacional.
    En lo sonoro es de 10 también, con una variedad de sonidos y detalles que hace obligatorio jugarlo con cascos.
    Narrativamente es donde el juego marca la diferencia con el resto y la razón por la que pienso que The last of us parte II va a marcar una época en los videojuegos, no sólo por su historia real y compleja, o por el desarrollo de algunos de sus personajes, sino por la forma de contarlo, llevarla a la jugabilidad, sin entrar en detalles para no hacer spoilers, y tocar temas tabús en la vida real de una forma muy natural sin importar lo que pueden llegar a pensar parte de los jugadores, con un sentido filosófico muy profundo, con partes del juego, sobre todo el final, que te hacen reflexionar durante horas, días, semanas, y más espacios de tiempo, porque pasarán años y se seguirá hablando de esta obra maestra.
    El sistema de combate es más y mejor que el de The last of us (2013), pero que se siente poderoso y divertido por lo reales que son las ejecuciones, el gunplay, las físicas de las muertes, los desmembramientos, los gritos de los enemigos al dañarse o la tensión que genera el jugarlo en sigilo o encontrarte situaciones de acción donde tienes que sacar la artillería por decreto y realizarlas de manera efectiva. Pocos videojuegos logran transmitir eso, sentir que estás matando de la forma más real posible en un videojuego y llegar a hacerte sentir incómodo.
    La exploración sigue la línea de juegos como Red Dead Redemption II, aunque con espacios mucho más cerrados al ser un juego lineal, en el sentido de eliminar información innecesaria del HUD, haciéndolo todo más natural, como hablando entre los personajes qué lugar se ha explorado o cual puede ser interesante para hacerlo, o marcándolo en un mapa real, eliminando todas esas mecánicas de marcación que le quitan todo el realismo e inmersión posible a un juego actual, cuando lo que busca es eso, sentir que esos personajes son personas reales, y no "muñecos" de un videojuego.
    El diseño de niveles es variado, con algunos abiertos, otros más cerrados, siempre con la opción de explorarlos o no, pero con un curro enorme siempre, ya sea por exploración o diversidad de opciones para superar los combates.
    En cuanto a la duración, me parece adecuada para lo que Naughty dog nos quiere contar, ya que en menos horas no habría sido posible que el jugador experimente todas las sensaciones y emociones que el juego transmite, teniendo en cuenta que siempre los escenarios secundarios son opcionales, a no ser que lo juegues en dificultad alta, ya que necesitarías buscar recursos.
    El ritmo del juego es similar al del primero, con encuentros de combate abundantes y secuencias de acción en las que no te da tiempo ni a pensar, pero compensándolo con momentos de relajación y pausa, con diálogos entre los personajes o momentos emotivos como el de las jirafas de The last of us I.
    La banda sonora me ha encantado, siguiendo la línea del 1º, con 4-5 temas memorables, aunque el tema principal de The last of us I me gustó más, pero Santaolalla ha vuelto a crear unas piezas acordes al mundo y a la historia pesimista con toques de esperanza que nos cuentan.

    This was a very good game! At first i did not buy and play it because of the bad reviews on metacritic but after it was free on the ps5 i gave it a try and what a journey it was! The story was super good imo one of the best stories in all games maybe god of war 2018 was better but it was good the gameplay everything was good and the graphics were oke (it is still a ps4 game).     È un gioco spettacolare, 20 ore di una narrazione efficace, per niente banale e senza particolari punti morti. Consigliato per chi ama i giochi story driven ma non vuole mettere da parte il gameplay.
    Grafica meravigliosa molto pulita, quasi nessun glitch anche perchè la maggior parte sono stati già corretti, con molto dettagli per chi ama il lato tecnico dei giochi, spero per naughty dog    È un gioco spettacolare, 20 ore di una narrazione efficace, per niente banale e senza particolari punti morti.     a great game getting dispraised by a bunch of pink-ass sore losers. I can understand scores between 4-7 but a zero? A MFing zero? These guys are searching for the Lord's poetic justice like thunders and lightnings and stuff.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
