    Amazing, Simply Amazing, I loved it, everything about it was Amazing.This game by far is the best I've ever played, story to the gameplay and the music of course, graphics and the complexity of the whole package. Yes, some events are unexpected, the character changes are not ideal but after finishing the game, I did really appreciate all the choices Naughty Dog making this game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Though I can understand why this is a unpopular opinion, I think most of this game were amazing and well developed. Yes I do believe Abby's story was drawn out and input some pointless details and the while time we were still angry because she killed our protagonist from the first game. However her story shows that she may not have been a bad person or at least no better than any other human trying to survive. And then theres how Joel died, I know some thought it did not do him any justice, but in a real apocalyptic scenario, it's unlikely he would go out a hero, or guns blazing or in some way that made players ls happy. And then there was the end of the game itself, I know personally I was broken, I was sad, and there was no happy ending, Abby lived, Joel was dead, Tommy was injured and begrudging toward Ellie, and Dina and JJ were gone, the last image we see is Ellie walking into the distance not knowing was happening next. Now I thought this ending (though it hurt) was genuine and realistic, Ellie lost more than what she started with, it would be impossible for her to have come out on top, and we see that, we see the price of revenge. And more importantly we see there are not always happy ending. The whole game is a beautiful, sad, and dark masterpiece of storytelling, and an insight into the price of revenge. Though I saw it was highly unlikely I believe that this ending sets up another sequel where we may see, l the ending we want. But until that is announced we must deal with the what we got and understand/ process this unique and realistic form of storytelling. *THIS IS AN OPINION*… Expand

(FRENCH) Ce jeu est incroyable car dès lors que l’on termine ce chef-d’œuvre on est sur le cul et on est là face à sa télé à se poser des questions. Personnellement grâce à ce jeu je me suis remis en question sur des sujets tels que la vengeance ou la méchanceté et je suis toujours étonné qu’un jeu vidéo ait pu me faire ça. Naughty Dog n’a pas fait seulement un jeu vidéo c’est une leçon. Naughty Dog fait avancer le jeu vidéo et ne nous pond pas du fan service ce qui est bien mais aussi beaucoup critiqué alors que ce jeu a pour but d’être réaliste donc bon.     It's a gorgeous game and that alone should at least warrant a2/10,so all those review bombing with 0/10 are just being spiteful and trolling

    It's not like part 1, but it's a very good game. The only thing that fails is that the gameplay can be a bit repetitive and tedious for how long it can be; but without a doubt he is a candidate for this year's GOTY. Hopefully what about ghost of tsushima

    I have been a die hard fan of the Last of Us series and the love they put into Part II is apparent. The post-apocalyptic world that they create is diverse and the gameplay is undeniably fun. While this game puts your empathy and emotions to the test, it is beautiful realistic portrayal of the actual world we live in. I loved the characters and would love a part III.

Some people don’t like the tone of the game and will give a zero without honestly reflecting on the other aspects of it that make it a spectacular experience. Collectibles, hidden areas, upgrading your weapons, one-off interactions with other characters, finding secret caches of supplies with notes adding backstory—all of these small things make the game worth playing on their own. The story is sad, and melancholy at times, but you know what else is sad? LIFE! It’s an honest reflection of truthful emotion that doesn’t accede to the typical glass half full view of most plots in games/film. I imagine many people reacted to the famously grim dystopian novel “1984” in the same way, before realizing it’s actually a bloody masterpiece. Regardless of how you feel about the plot, giving a work of art such as this a score of zero or one is insulting to the hundreds of creators who so obviously poured their passion into crafting a living, breathing world for us to enjoy.     I'm not sure what kind of Disneyland fairytale people were expecting from this game. At face value it is a story motivated by revenge, but it unravels to be so much deeper and nuanced as you gain perspective on each character and see firsthand how their motives intertwine.     I beat it and havent stopped thinking about it for 5 days. One of the most visceral experiences I've had with a tale in any medium. Gameplay is solid but not revolutionary. Environments, animation, design, music, acting, and overall presentation are as usual a new benchmark set by naughty dog.

Empecé queriendo matar a Abby y al final termine con un pensamiento completamente distinto. Los créditos rodaron y yo me quedé en un colapso mental de emociones fantásticas. Nunca un juego me hizo sentir tal cosa, y estoy orgulloso de ser fanático de Naugthy Dog porque siempre me dan juegos con una calidad maravillosa.
    Hablando de las malas críticas puedo decir que este juego es muy difícil de entender, tenés que saber interpretar, tener un poco de lectura. Si no te vas a quedar estancado en el odio porque mataron a Joel y no vas a poder ver más allá de eso. Otra cosa es que hay que entender que The last of us no es un Resident Evil, es un juego más realista, donde los personajes no le pasan 14.000 cosas y vive para contarlo, la muerte de Joel estuvo muy bien ejecutada, es algo que iba a pasar y por mi parte me esperaba que fuera de esa forma.    … Expand

I hate those people who didn't even played a single minute and are just giving this game a bad score because some streamer or youtuber said the game is bs. There is no World were u could give that game a rating under 5. A game has more than just a story iam fine with that if u have ur problems with the story but this game still has amazing graphics on a ps4, the soundtrack is amazing and game play and story. The cutscenes are movie like and the amount of detail in this incredible world is just stunning.So if u are being objective the game on itself cant have a rating under 5.

    If u give the story a bad rating thats fine but u should not forget that a game consist of more than just a story. Now to my opinion i think the story is a masterpiece because it shows how revenge can lead to a lot more suffering and it creates a infinite loop of violence, madness and the spill of innocent blood.

    In this World the player has no idea what right or wrong is. Everyone has his own reasons to behave like this. By gicing the player the opportunity to play the other site he or she can totally understand why they want revenge and now the player is torn apart because the Reality is much darker and deeper than u might think.    … Expand

    In my experience this was one of the best games ever made. If we talk about simply graphics, this game is absolutely gorgeous. I loved and felt a very deep connection with ever character. I was concerned about their well-being throughout the entirety of the story. This game was an absolute roller coaster of emotion and it is a true masterpiece. You would be seriously missing out if you skipped this one.     This game has been vilified for not delivering exactly what the neckbeards desired as far as story. Gameplay is excellent and the story is compelling. Only reason it doesn't get a 10 from me is the lack of weapon variation.

    Era difícil continuar la historia con el final tan bueno del 1. Personalmente este juego se me hizo un poco largo pero para nada aburrido . Creo que no hace falta decir que en temas de gráficos, escenarios , animaciones faciales y detalles en general es una cosa increíble, así que queda el apartado de la historia. Creo que algunas cosas podrían haberse cambiado . Pero para nada lo que seEra difícil continuar la historia con el final tan bueno del 1.     I don't agree with the main arguments against it and I enjoyed the gameplay, the story and of course the graphics. An important thing to notice is that most of the negative reviews come from people that did not play the game, and to those that played it and still gave it a negative review I would say that it is still not reasonable,    No spoilers ahead.
    This is a 10/10 game in my opinion.

    I don't know if this will go down as my favorite game of all time but it is the most well made game I've ever played. Nobody has ever attempted to tell a story like this in a videogame. The story is not an easy one to digest, and challenges the player in new, groundbreaking ways. Everything is improved from the original which is my favorite game of all time.     Awesome. Stupid people put 1, because the game did not live up to their expectations. Yes, this game is not at all what the players expected, but it does not make it bad. The game is delightful, exciting, interesting, cruel, and emotional. A game about the cycle of revenge, and forgiveness. required to pass.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 is a game I struggled through, yet savoured every moment of. It's a graphical marvel with slick game-play to boot, but the story is something I will never forget due to the pain it caused and the traumatic journey it took me on. This game to me was a masterpiece, which unfortunately like many things deserving of that title, many are not able to give the appreciation it warrants.

    I'll address the story more a bit further down, but first I have to marvel at how visually stunning this game is. The locales are breathtaking, from the open plains to the skeletal remains of a city being eroded away, it's a marvel to look at. The way the locations are structured too are so organic as well, providing just enough prompting of where to go without making everything too obviously a place to climb or a crate to hide behind. Few things seem out of place, which is exactly what we'd expect Naughty Dog to achieve. The motion capture is also far beyond any other game I've played, particularly the facial animations. There is so much emotion portrayed through the characters expressions, through subtle tremors, tired eyes and frown line movements, you really are able to really feel what the characters are feeling. It's a marvel to watch every cut scene and admire the character design on display.

    The game play is also an notable improvement from the first game, with incredibly complex combat situations. There are a variety of ways to tackle every scenario, although stealth is strongly encouraged. You will however find that the enemy AI is far more savvy in this game, so going through the larger stages unnoticed is an incredible challenge. You will get noticed, which can often lead to very sticky situations where you realise your character isn't super woman. Death will be swift (just as the WLF wishes for you). The infected are also far more formidable. You can't plot the path of a clicker any more, if you sit in front of it for too long you will be maimed. Don't even get me started on the stalkers, they're the worst in part 1 and they are so much more agile now. By the way, keep your eyes peeled on the wall fungus, just trust me on this. The new infected types are also worthy editions, although I thought there could have been a few more.

    I must digress though that the game-play is not perfect. Ellie's trap mines are seldom useful for mine and I kind of wish I could have suppressed more weapons than just the semi-auto handgun. Also I thought the way the skill tree worked, although intuitive, made no logical sense for the sake of realism (Since when does drugs make someone better at crafting bombs). There also seemed to be some imbalance with the amount of scrap each character could get for crafting, leading to no crafting at workbenches 50% of the time on the normal setting. but these were small issues in the grand scheme of things.

    For mine, the story is what this game should and will be remembered for. Revenge is the key theme, but the motives behind this is so integral. The people in this world are in a living hell, few things matter but the lives of their loved ones. When those loved ones die in this dog-eat-dog world, what little these characters have is stripped away from them. For Ellie this trauma is so palpable, she is mentally ill and she's filled with rage. Love is something which she no longer seems to trust, and as the player you can see this conflict within her in her relationship with Dina (by the way, this game is not LGBT propaganda like the incels review bombing the game would have you believe. It's just a relationship like any other in this world). As the player you have the knowledge that you are taking her on a self-destructive path. She's experienced incredibly complex trauma which the writers have accurately portrayed how this would mess with her head. She isn't a redeeming character, but nor is she supposed to be, no-one goes through this sort of trauma and comes out the end of it hunky dory. The fact that you hate so many choices she makes was so deliberate on the part of the developers. But they also give you plenty of beautiful moments for her in flashbacks which help the games more recent developments make more sense.

    I will admit that I was initially unsure about playing as Abby, but the game was so much better for it. It's as much her tale as it is Ellie's, and they're both dealing with very similar trauma. It completely changed the dynamic of her character being able to see things from her perspective too, and learn that there's far more than meets the eye with her. Her side of the story starts off slow, you want to hate her, but as you continue to play as her you realise that hate isn't completely warranted. You realise that she and Ellie are just incredibly broken people with little reason to live or die, with complex trauma clouding their judgement, yet motivating their every move. When you see things this way, they are wonderfully complex characters.    … Expand

I loved it so much my daughter born in 2017 was named Ellie. Part 2 is a game I have been waiting to play since it’s original tease back in 2016, and a game I was unsure if it should exists or not because of how much I love the first. This game however is a gruesome,dark,beautiful masterpiece! It’s a fantastic piece of entertainment, exactly what you would want from any game, film or any form of entertainment if you were to watch or play. The trailers are misleading (classic naughty dog btw), and the story goes in a way I was not expecting, but that’s the whole point of this game. It intwines the first story with the seconds direction and push it somewhere the fans of the first where not expecting. What would be the point of making a game with the expectation this one carries with a story that was exactly what we expected would happen? It would be a boring, predictable and not enjoyable to play. Games and technology have moved on since the first, and making a sequel like this so long after the original, there would be so much to consider in terms of gameplay and story when making this game, and I personally couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I was gutted to lose such a loved character in the opening of the game as much as anyone, and new characters lost you grow to love over the course of this game too. Everyone is of course allowed their opinion, but the negative reviews this game is currently receiving from disappointed fans because of the above,I wouldn’t recommend them watching game of thrones anytime soon. This game made me laugh,cry,happy and speechless, it’s an unrivalled journey that only can compare to the journey of the first, but for totally different reasons. The gameplay is fluid, the graphics are exquisite, attention to detail is flawless, and the story is one that is meant to test, upset and surprise you, and it did for me. This for me is a remarkable achievement in video games, and a testament to the quality of the work naughty dog produces without effecting my love for the first game.     Para mi este titulo tiene mas un 9,5 que un 9 como he puesto, pero no me deja matizarlo, la jugabilidad es una versión mas pulida que la del primer titulo donde te deja mucha mas posibilidades, la ia ha mejorado notablemente donde en dificultad difícil ya es en cierto modo retan el hacerlo en sigilo, uno de sus fuertes, que en mi opinión el juego va enfocado a esto, por eso si no tePara mi este titulo tiene mas un 9,5 que un 9 como he puesto, pero no me deja matizarlo, la jugabilidad es una versión mas pulida que la del primer titulo donde te deja mucha mas posibilidades, la ia ha mejorado notablemente donde en dificultad difícil ya es en cierto modo retan el hacerlo en sigilo, uno de sus fuertes, que en mi opinión el juego va enfocado a esto, por eso si no te apasionan el modo en sigilo no te lo recomiendo del todo ya que en muchas ocasiones te veras obligado por la falta de recurso o el numero de enemigos, en el apartado técnico es uno de lo mas punteros que he podido ver yo en esta generación, ya sea as actuaciones, los doblajes, banda sonora que incluso hay algunos temas que si escuchas individualmente te transmite parte de la inmersión a lo que va enfocado, los recursos cinematográficos están muy bien hilados y junto a la banda sonora crea un climax bestial, como esta compañía nos tiene acostumbrados, el tema controversial de la historia la muerte de un personaje al que se le critica tanto en si la muerte como en la manera de como ha sucedido, personalmente no lo entiendo del todo ya que la manera y quien muere en una historia no tiene que ser mas importante que la repercusión en si de la muerte y aquí esta claro que la repercusión es notoria ,en esta saga casi todas la muertes que suceden tienen su repercusión, da igual de la manera y quienes toda muerte tiene sentido en la historias es cierto que peca bastante del recurso de los flashback y que la duración del juego les obliga ello, ya que tanto en lo jugable como en las cinematecas se extienden en mi punto de vista demasiado ya sea por demasiadas zonas de enemigos seguidas para extender el capitulo o por flashback demasiados largos que cortan el ritmo, también es un juego que se cocina a fuego lento, si no estas acostumbrado a darle tiempo a que se desarrolle una historia o entrar en acción pasado un tiempo este no es tu juego, pero en conclusión es un juego que me ha merecido mucho la pena experimentarlo y que te transmite las emociones que quiere transmitirte ya que una historia para que sea buena no te tiene que satisfacer bajo tu punto de vista, sino transmite lo que pretende y las emociones a la que va enfocadas, ya vemos en generos como terror o drama donde claramente lo podemos situar ahí el juego en esos generos, jugablemente es muy divertido, combina perfectamente la acción con el survivol horror.… Expand

The greatest part of The Last of US Part 2 is its vulnerability. It allows the gamer to immerse themselves into a game that is much more than a revenge story. We're brought into a game where we learn that there aren't "good guys and bad guys," instead we see that every individual in the game has a story in which they're the good guy. For example, every NPC has a name they're referred to, to further express the concept that each person is in fact a human who may believe that their actions benefit the greater cause. Moving on, we see Ellie, who has reacted like a moth to a flame by hunting down Abby, evolve to finally forgive Joel and herself. In doing so, she overcomes this blind rage, reflecting on what she has lost along the way. Instead of choosing to move on initially, she's given up much more than losing Joel: a family, friends, her fingers that inhibit playing a song that holds significance. The point of Abby's character was not just to kill off the main character and get the audience pissed, then they would not have made her such a key character. It is to understand what is so wrong with revenge. It goes along the 'an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.' Ellie lost everything for revenge against Abby. When people look at the story line without some beautiful story of Ellie winning, they rate the game as a 0. Ellie and Abby are so similar by the end; I am surprised the homophobes are not rooting for Abby.
    I don't like everything about the game. I played the first game, and hoped this new game would be even better.     I believe the section where v play as Abby could have been flushed out a little better.. Her motivation to go back and help LEV and YARA was poorly executed.. I guess they should have bonded a little more and then Abby could have justified her actions of going back and saving them. Rest of the story with Ellie is amazing, her motivation and ultimately her action of sparing Abby is well presented although in the end she losses everything.
    Gameplay wise is almost as the first game but a little tweaks here and there..and well executed.

All the characters feel fleshed out and realized and I found myself more attached to them than I care to admit. I think just for the game itself, disregarding the story, it would be unreasonable to give it less than an 8/10.

    As for the story, I know that it has been controversial, but I think it was incredible. They really get you to feel and empathize with every character as well as question many of the choices you've made throughout the game. There's one part where you are trying so hard to kill an unknown attacker and the whole fight is dragged out and difficult, but when you finally realize who the attacker is you feel conflicted about wanting to kill them. The story is hard-hitting, and for me, I think it was incredibly well constructed. I loved every minute of my time in this game.

    Overall, I'd say this was the best game I've ever played on the PS4. I think it deserves a 10/10. I only wish I could play it again for the first time.    … Expand

Game design, storyline, characters - everything is so beautifully done, definitely the best Naughty Dog and PS4 title, a contender for GOTY award and a game of generation.

    • Joel fue una mala persona y se merecía morir aunque nos duela todos
    • Abby es un muy buen personaje pero todos la odian porque mato Joel; sin embargo me pareció un gran acierto lo de poder controlar a Abby porque logras empatizar con ella e incluso entender porque quiso matar Joel.
    • Ellie, no me pareció mala idea lo de volver a buscar a Abby al final del juego, esto demuestra lo mala que es la venganza, tiene sentido que haya vuelto a por Abby porque si le sumas la presión de Tommy, su trauma (porque es evidente que tiene traumas con la muerte de Joel) y que se siente culpable es normal que vuelva.
    • A mi en lo personal no me cayo mal Dina, incluso es unos de mis personajes favoritos, es como lo equivalente a Ellie en el primer The Last Of Us.

There are so many side stories, so the game feels much more like an open world game. The game offers the option the player to play the way want to play. Ellie the personable, lively woman. However, after Joel's death, it changed. Abby gets a guilty conscience, you can see how she tries to do something good with Lev. While Ellie continues to fall into the spiral of hate and revenge. You can see how the personalities change due to the struggles and how they express themselves verbally. No game has ever touched me so emotionally. I had to go through a variety of thoughts / feelings. The graphics the smooth gameplay. I think it's fantastic.     For me the characters were broken and warped by the world in which they live. Everyone is off the deep end and who could blame them. Graphics, the setting and story were fantastic.     Easily the best game I have played so far. The story has so many themes, subtext and important messages that I wish the whole world can experience or atleast witness. One of the main Ideas conveyed in this game being Empathy is so well explained in the most radical way a game can convey it. Bold and Beautiful story. No complains at all.     This game is a masterpiece. It provokes a lot of emotions, gets us to empathize with the characters. The graphics are exceptional. 10/10

    Me he pasado el juego dos veces y la verdad sigo sin entender el porque lo critican tanto, la historia esta bien, no es mejor que la del primer juego, pero esta buena la historia, aunque el único detalle que tiene es que abusan mucho de los flasbacks, el gameplay y los gráficos son excelentes, aunque el final del juego es de otra cosa que se podría hablar.
