    Game is quite boring imo , it doesn’t grab my attention, lack of tutorial telling u what u need to do so I was there just jumping onto everything.

Are they deliberately this bad or the creators got used to it that much that they didn't notice? What the hell is up with the snap-in camera??? By the way, I fell in love with Trico so much that I didn't finish the game. I know (s)he is supposed to live, but I just couldn't see him/herIt could and should have been a masterpiece. It has performance issues, the FPS drop almost every single minute, because it's not well optimised. How can this game run so bad when it doesn`t even look that good and games like God of War, Uncharted 4 or The Last of Us Part II run perfectly on PS4?

    Performance is horrible. Average of 15-20 FPS on a fat model with drops to 10, and the game doesn’t even look fantastic. Two years earlier, The Last of Us Remastered, looks on par or better, runs steady 50-60 FPS. It’s hard even to think when all you see is a blurred slideshow, save get immersed in the game’s    Point for kitty-doggie-cutie. Point for the idea. Zero for the implementation.

    Speaking of which, this game suffers from the same problem as Uncharted the original. The surroundings are hardly varying as you go by. Unless you enjoy mossy ruins very much, you’ll get bored pretty soon.

    Although, Uncharted the original had some chatacter interaction to make you stick around. In this game, there’s no story. There are a few cutscenes that don’t explain pretty much anything. You don’t know who your character is, why is he here, where is "here", where are you going, who are you fighting. Nothing.

    Yes, there is this cat-like creature from the cover picture, Trico, and there’re relations between it and the Boy (yes, this is officially protagonist’s name), but again - no idea who this creature is or why is it here or where is here. It’s really hard to identify or connect with someone or something you know nothing about, no matter how cute they appear to be.

    Enough has already been said about controls. I spent far more time struggling with Trico to make it do what I want that acctually solving the puzzles. Infuriating, that’s the word.

    Oh, the puzzles... there is one - no spoilers - that you cannot possibly solve on your own unless you are super patient or super stubborn.

    The last straw for me was the bug. There’s one place when you need Trico to dive, and it just won’t. It would dive and turn around and surface back again. I googled it, a lot of people had this bug too. And something broke inside of me. I felt that I’m not going to fight with this game anymore. I wasn’t emotionally invested enough to suffer much longer. So I dropped it. I never dropped a game before.

    No one should ever release, or sell, or play games of such horrendous execution quality.    … Expand

    An emotional journey not for everyone. Trico is one of the Best Monster that you can see and play with in a video game, plus you can feel how Your Bond with trico is escalting and you start to care for him. Give IT a try it’s more than a game

    A wonderful and warming story, full of little details of world building and nice but sometimes too easy puzzles.

    You have to learn and struggle with controls but it works as intended you'll get used as Trico gets used to you. An amazing experience for anyone and a must for Team ICO fans.

    A very special game.
    Some clunky game mechanics can't get in the way of this fantastic game. Especially the second half which really starts to fire on all cylinders. Some of the best cutscenes ever, and the creature, Trico, you learn to hate then love (My dog is called Trico). I would love a sequel to this game.

    The next-level giant pet simulator. That's all I could think of while playing the game. If you like pets and don't mind them getting beat up every now and then, then this is the game for you!

    The game is basically ICO, but full of obstacles and basic puzzles that require your giant pet to progress. The variety in puzzles is a little disappointing.     The game is basically ICO, but full of obstacles and basic puzzles that require your giant pet to progress. The variety in puzzles is a little disappointing. They mostly consist of opening doors to get your pet through them, and then after you get your pet through the door, having your pet jump to an area that was previously inaccessible to you. Also disappointing is that there's normally only one way to solve each puzzle. Many are carefully scripted with specific pet actions, so there's not much thinking outside of the box possible here.

    Initially, controlling the pet is annoying. You get some hand signals later on that improve things, but then it just becomes slightly less annoying.

    The story is vague, though less vague than ICO or Shadow of the Colossus. You'll actually get some background story information and closure with this installment. The game goes for an animal friendship theme and does it pretty well, though some people aren't big fans of this type of story.

    Oh, and don't forget the Uncharted moments. There's plenty of impossibly amazing moments in the game, primarily consisting of your giant pet's weight or size breaking bridges or other things and then you just barely escaping though no skill of your own, but because it's a scripted scene. I'm a bit sad that the studio who bought us ICO and Shadow of the Colossus has stooped to this level of dumb storytelling. But hey, kids these days like it.

    So it was an alright game for me. After I got used to the initial pet-controlling annoyance, I ended up completing it in less than 15 hours. And I'm glad it didn't take longer than that.    … Expand

    The only issue this game has are controls. You play as a boy, who also gives commands to his companion creature (to fly, to jump...) and quite often it takes a lot of time from the moment you give a command until something really happens. Not to forget that very often you command something but the result at the end is some completely different thing or wrong direction of your companion's jump, etc. These things really slow down the gameplay and from time to time can be frustrating. However, those issues are only moments here and there that won't ruin the entire experience and story.    … Expand

    Literally this game is not worth anyones time, money, or hype. I lost count how many years this game was in the making just for it to be utter garbage. Garbage is the only word to describe this game go pick up Horizon Zero Dawn or hell even go buy another GTA 5 copy over this game.

    Но самое главное в этой игре, это атмосфера. Она не даёт заскучать в, принципе, пустом мире.

I'm sure a lot of love and man hours went into this game and it is beautiful, as is the beast, but at the end of the day, for what we have in our hands, for the consumer, for the person that actuallyTeam ICO (or whoever is left of them) has taken the clunkiness of their games to the extreme with this title.     Juego muy bonito gráficamente, y conforme vas avanzando te van dando más ganas de conocer más sobre la historia, la relación con Trico se va fortaleciendo con el paso de la historia. El punto negativo es los mareantes a veces cambios de cámara al escalar a Trico y la dificultad a veces desesperante al manejarlo, por lo demás gran juego.

    Yet, and perhaps more importantly, as an adventure, it is unique, memorable, and enchanting. The dreamworld visuals are truly awe inspiring, the animations are some of the greatest    TLG is a repetitive and slightly tedious platformer, intertwined with lackluster puzzle design.     Yet, and perhaps more importantly, as an adventure, it is unique, memorable, and enchanting. The dreamworld visuals are truly awe inspiring, the animations are some of the greatest and most expressive I have yet to see, and the physics impress.

    The unscripted, procedural nature of your interaction with the guardian is remarkably successful, and as piece of gaming concept, it is the most refreshing, and intelligent leverage of the video-game medium I have had the pleasure to experience in a long long time - Indeed, your interaction with the guardian seamlessly serve both the story and game-play needs. At no point have I felt I was dealing with an AI, but rather a genuine living creature - This achievement alone must be celebrated.

    TLG is not a very good game then, but it offers something novel to experience. and will leave you with a cherished memory of your time with it. Play it.    … Expand

Moving an enormous creature and a small boy, cooperating, in narrow spaces was an impossible task that led to shaky controls and infuriating camera movements and dead angles. It could not be any other way.
    It is undeniable on the    Is The Last Guardian worth of your time, especially in comparison to the rest of the games on PS4? Yes, absolutely. Is it a good videogame? Maybe not as much.     It is undeniable on the other hand that TLG is a masterpiece of companionship and one of the most unique games ever made. All in the usual Fumito Ueda presentation and approach to a plot that will keep you entertained well after the console is switched off.
    All sums up to a great experience, with playability pitfalls that could lead you to abandon Trico. Use your patience, it is totally worth it.    … Expand

    After 7 years in what seems to be development hell, Team Ico finally introduces us to the majestic Trico and its heartfelt relationship with a young protagonist. While the long development cycle does show its age in certain parts up to a point of some frustration. The experience as a whole is one of the most unique ever.

    The Last guardian is indeed suffering from some technical and control input issues, but its warm, beautiful adventure filled with countless touching moments is something we’ll never forget for the rest of our lives. The Last Guardian is not just a game, it’s an absolute work of art.

    The Last Guardian doesn't just live up to its forebears' legacy, it goes further. Despite the callbacks to Fumito Ueda's previous works, it is a unique creation. Outside of indie experiments, we don't get to say that about modern videogames often enough.
