4 hours in and the world of Skyrim is alive and immersive in VR. This has renewed my interest in my PSVR. This is how Skyrim was meant to be played. I can't wait to dive back in!

One of the best PSVR games available, up there with DiRT rally, Resident evil 7 and EVE : Valkyrie.
So much more content than any PSVR game.
Its skyrim, in VR. I expected to be standing, running around with a shield and sword. But like always I fell back to sneaking and archery. Only in VR archery is super fun. Its crisp, suprisingly accurate and just feels the best. Only played on a

Only played on a pro, and yes, graphics are rough at a distance, but scale, and crispness close to you feels just as good as almost any other game. Quite a feat concidering the vastness of the world and all the stuff going on. didnt see a single hitch that indicates an FPS drop.

What I didnt like, was no option for smooth turning with the PSmoves. When you have your weapons sheathed, the move controllers appear in-game, and this is very immersion breaking. The whole selling point of VR is immersion. Minor annoyance.
Also I wish there was some way to view my character in 3rd person, inventory screen or something, But I do understand that its not as easy as implementing a 3rd person camera mode, as this would also break immersion.

Overall a really solid VR game, and not at all the "lazy port" i was dreading.

While it's not the best VR game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR is the most massive RPG on PSVR, and it's just as addictive as it's always been. Regardless of whether you play the main quests, chase down all of the side content, go hunting, go dungeoneering, be a smith and forge your own weapons, or go wherever you want to go, Skyrim works well enough, and that should be good enough for most players.

VR really lets you experience Skyrim on a whole different level of immersion. Even despite PS VR’s low resolution it’s really easy to forget about the real world. The problem for me was that although I’m usually resistant to VR-induced nausea, after ca. 40-60 minutes with Skyrim VR I was starting to feel sick. [01/2018, p.50]

It's not perfect but there's no other PS VR game with this level of depth and detail. Even if you think you've seen it all before, you've definitely never see it like this. [Jan 2018, p.96]
