    terrible framerates. long loading times. glitchy textures. fan spinning because overheating ps4pro.
    This game deserves to be played on pc, where can shine also with mediocre hardware. On ps4, optimization and performances are terrible.

The game has some issues such as glitches samey dungeon design and stilted combat but Skyrim nails the most important thing for an open world game, the world. Skyrim is a vast land full of people to see, things to do and the best lore I have ever seen in aSkyrim is a game that is far better than the sum of its parts. Skyrim is a vast land full of people to see, things to do and the best lore I have ever seen in a video game. No other game has engrossed me so much in it's lore that I read hundreds of books learning about skyrim and its history. Fantasy elements run wild in skyrim allowing for encounter with demon deities that have build up present in books you can find as well as the many dragons that can swoop down at any time. There are other such events like finishing one quest you find out about a researcher that stole the work of another who has since died. I ran into him on the road with the results of her research and he tried to kill me to silence me, which caught me extremely of guard has i had never really had a scene like that before in a game . Skyrim the place is a character in itself and it was executed to near perfection. The game has a huge volume of quests but it is startling how good they are. The main questlines for each faction in particular are highlights as they introduce you to groups of new characters, facets of the world it takes place in as well as giving you the most varied quests. When your walking through towns people talk about big events that have happened such as the murder of an important person. These little lines add so much to the world of skyrim that they can't be understated. Combat is something you spend a lot of time doing in Skyrim and while I was initially unimpressed by it when I started mixing and matching using all the tools in my arsenal I came to found the combat highly enjoyable, as while each individual method of fighting has little depth using all of them is incredibly versatile. The dungeons are filled with puzzles enemies and most have some kind of quest that anchors them in the world. While they aren't amazing by any means they are enjoyable videogame junk food. There are events that happen in the world that aren't due to the actions of the player that makes skyrim feel alive. Skyrim is full of choices big and small like taking a side in the civil war which the game never lets you forget about as every character has a say. Skyrim's leveling up system is tied to how much you do a specific action which fits perfectly for such a roll driven experience as it allows you to make your the character the way you want them to be. Being able to make your a character into a thief, warrior mage or even a smith creates so many avenues for a player to go down and gives the game replayability. Skyrim in short is a flawed masterpiece that excels in so much that the warts present are almost forgotten and even though my character's journey has come to a fitting conclusion with a wife and adopted children I still find myself itching to hop back in and see what else this world has to offer… Expand

    Uno de los mejores juegos de la anterior generación. Lastima que no hayan sacado una oferta para los que ya lo teníamos en PS3. Lo compraré, sin duda, pero cuando baje a un precio razonable.

    I like it, despite never progressing very far in the game.
    The amount of quests to do, places to go, people to talk to is overwhelming and is probably, in my eyes, more of a hinderance than an benefit. You can literally lose yourself in this game and I can see why people have put 100s and 100s of    Its Skyrim, by now you've either played it or you haven't, you either like it or you don't.
    I like it, despite never progressing very far in the game.

    I played the ps3 version back in 2011 when the game came out (11/11/11 never forget), and I played the damn game for 4 straight years, until I bought the PS4 in 2015. Back then I gave Skyrim a 10/10, for me was and still is the best game that I ever played in my life. 4 years after I terribly missed the damn game, so I bought for very cheap this version of the game for PS4. Now....howI played the ps3 version back in 2011 when the game came out (11/11/11 never forget), and I played the damn game for 4 straight years, until I bought the PS4 in 2015. Now....how does this 8 year old game compares with current gen gems like The witcher 3, Red dead Redemption 2, Outer Worlds, etc?

    Short answer: It is still one of the best games of all time.
    Long answer: You don't play Skyrim for Its story (It's only Ok), neither for Its interesting deeply complex charecters (because there is none), neither for Its amazing gameplay (It is still Okay or good depending on your class, but It is visible that It aged quite a bit), You play Skyrim because of the incredible immersion that It gives you! You can play whatever class you want (knight, thief, nightblade, battlemage, etc), roleplay the type of guy you want to be (evil, good, whatever), in a highly detailed world where you can interact with almost everything. You can even be a vampire or a werewolf. This game is the apex of exploration games, the map is highly densed with interesting sites (caves, nordic ruins, dwarf ruins, etc) each of them with a deep lore and interesting stuff to see. The world of skyrim feels alive and not empty like 90% of most open wold games, during your journeys on the road you can even find a series of random encounters that help keep the wold fresh and alive. The leveling system for me is still the best one in all games that I played, the skill trees are diverse, and each one of them very deep! The Crafting/enchanting/smithing system remains the best and more complex one! The weapons and armours are diverse and very nice looking.

    Skyrim day-to-day life to my character is like this: I wake up in my homestead that I bough and build it from the ground, i pack my stuff and go out to the world to see If the jarls have interesting jobs to give, or if the guilds that I belong (dark brotherhood, thieves guild, the companions and college of winterhold) have jobs for me too, or just wander in the wilderness to lose myself in some cave or bandit camp.
    This is a example:
    Yesterday I found a lighthouse in the frozen northern coast of skyrim, It was the first time that I saw It in all these years, I entered in It expecting to find some npc's, it happens that i found some bodies on the ground covered in blood and pierced by arrows, and the room was chaotic. By reading their journals I found out that there was a family leaving there, and that the siblings suspected of something living in the basement due to strange noises in the night. It turns out that their basement led to a falmer (elves that became blind and savage after being enslaved by the dwemer race ) cave. In that cave I found the body of the 2 siblings, one of them with a knife that her father gave her, as appointed in her letter, so that she avoided a painfull death by being eaten by a giant chaurus that the falmer kept as a pet. Her father however was given to that monster as a meal, as his remains were right next to It. This is just one example of the more than hundred adventures that you can have in this game.

    Finally, well this review turned out to be a love letter to skyrim, sorry for that, the game has now some aging issues, but that for me were not ground breaking. The combat has not aged well but it is still fun, the graphics are not on the same level as current gen graphics, however there is something about the artstyle/graphics in this game that make the views very.....beautiful. The landscaped are truly wonderful to witness. Fortunately, the bugs are (finally) pretty much resolved, so they wont be a issue. If you haven't played the game......you own It to yourself to play It, It is a mandatory game. If you played on ps3/xbox360 and miss skyrim, buy It because the graphics/framerate and loading screens are very improved, and the game is very cheap. Only pc users gain nothing by buying this game.    … Expand

    I played The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in 2023 and thought it was an above average game that I liked.
    However, I dislike the "Creation Club" microtransactions.

    After debating whether or not to get this for a while (bearing in mind I have bought it twice before) I finally went for it and for the most part I am glad that I did.     I have played through this game twice and then some, yes if you already have played it there isn't much new for you to experience less the mods. the mods are fairly good but there isn't as big a range with the Ps4 vs Xbox or PC as the PS4 has limited file sizes or something meaning the mods are sparse/not as good, the ones I did download were pretty good but most graphics and high end mods are not available.
    Visually, there is some improvement, better lighting a textures as well as draw distance improve the overall experience and, whilst it will never hold a candle to the Witcher or highly modded PC Skyrim, it does give just a little breath of fresh air and the densely detailed world has made me stop to stare a good few times.
    I've already put many hours in and as elder scrolls games it's a different experience every time, a with a fresh fantasy character and random experiences, I am free once again to live out a new characters life and sample some of the different things that I was never bothered with before, I may even start a different one to try out more things.
    Overall there is of course not much extra content but with a rich world filled with things to do, you're surely to find things you haven't seen before and generally experience new things, whilst enjoying the same character freedom that is to be expected.
    For anyone who hasn't played this before it's a must buy, hundreds of hours gameplay are available and with the price sat at around £20-25 it's a massive bargain.
    For those who have played it and enjoyed it, it's still worth a pick up but there are other games out there in this price range (Witcher 3 GOTY) that will perhaps suit you more.    … Expand

    Comencé no entendiéndolo , venía de juegos rápidos y online , para las primeras veces , pero el tiempo pasó y me hizo reflexionar y mucho.

    By far one of my favorite new games to play. Stunning world, great graphics, and huge open world that I even get lost in sometimes.
    Only reason this isn't a ten....is all the bugs they left in from the PC version. It seems not one of them were fixed before the release.
    This is still my goto game for the next six months or so :o)

    The combat is an unintuitive bore. The writing is, in all areas, terrible at worst and merely bad at best.
    Quests and dungeon design are unimaginative and stale. RPG aspects are entirely hamfisted.

    Quem dera fosse a primeira vez jogando esta obra prima. Se nao jogaste, nem pense duas vezes. Até hoje nenhum jogo foi tao imersivo quanto este, gostaria que nao fosse assim, mas se depender das atuais franquias tamo fudido.

    However this games suffers greatly from bugs. I have played around 40 hours so far. Around 30 were spent unmodded, and 10 were spent with mods enabled. They both suffered greatly. Missing NPCs, glitched quest items, and quest events not registering has frustrated me to the point where I feel the need to check that I've saved every 5 minutes, which feels more like a chore than it should. I understood the transition between last gen and current gen wouldn't have been flawless, but the last gen were vastly superior in my experience. That being said, I have heard rare cases of people playing through the game bug free. I've had no such luck.

    You're taking a chance on this product. That's for sure. But when the game is working it's nearly flawless. I wouldn't recommend purchasing unless you're a die hard elder scrolls fan. If you do purchase, you'll have a better time with no mods (not that there are many worth downloading on PS4 anyway).    … Expand

    It's still a fun game despite the lack of mods and SONY screwing up the system.

    The game also has great characters and a good game considering it's a 5 year old game. However, this game is still riddled with bugs and this shows that Bethesda doesn't care about fixing their games.

    Whilst Skyrim obviously feels a little outdated now in terms of graphics & gameplay, there is still nothing that comes close to rivalling it for the sheer adventure. Definitely overpriced for a remake, but if you never had the original then this is a must-have.

    A fun, open-world game that gives the player so much freedom, so much. There are even dragons, DRAGONS THAT WE CAN RIDE!!! There are some bugs, but it's only because of your freedom. There's freedom in your fighting, choices in story, and even how you travel. So much freedom and choices.

    Once Bethesda knew how to make good games...

    Skyrim! One of the best games out there... Such a honor to play the remastered edition... It doesn't have many differences with the first edition but it gives it a pretty good refresh with the textures and the god rays! Mod support also makes it look a better.

    Got another 60 hours our of this version which felt fair. Game play is still great and graphics are much improved. Mod support on console is a nice touch.

    Paid 67 CAD which was fair. Should not be priced as a full price game @ 80 CAD.

The migration to current generation consoles wasn’t 100% upgraded as character models only got slight enhancements making them look a bit ‘muddy’ and out of place especially in contrast to the improved landscapes.

    For those who may be new to the Skyrim experience – know that this video game yields many different outcomes and ways to play as an RPG adventure. Like a well-crafted video game, Skyrim allows you to focus on being a fighter or use stealth, you can spend time crafting weapons or find loot in dungeons and these are things other video games in the past have done but The Elder Scrolls V manages to blend the overall experience into a complete package.     This game shows an improvement from the original. Graphic are amazingly detailed and mods are cool. Some controls options are a bit clunky at the start but have proved it self.

    Skyrim is Skyrim :) Awesome and all. I was not expecting something new, just a good port of Skyrim with better graphics and this is exactly what I got. It was too expensive though. Bethesda got greedy on this one. No bugs after like 50 hours of gameplay (after a patch though), almost no loading time, good controls. Now I can relax in my couch and play one of the best open world games.

As soon as your first mission ends, you can just roam around at your leisure. And what damn fun it is to explore the world. From the snowy peaks of a mountain, to the icky, spider-infested swamps, toWhen has an open world ever felt so open-ended, packed with content and also so fun? Skyrim is a beautiful amalgamation of these things. The open world is one of the main aspects of the game. As soon as your first mission ends, you can just roam around at your leisure. And what damn fun it is to explore the world. From the snowy peaks of a mountain, to the icky, spider-infested swamps, to an ancient, underground city built by a race thought to be extinct. There is nothing to complain about the world of Skyrim, apart from the reliance of fast travel, which is a problem faced by almost every open-world game, but it’s estentuated by the fact that, unless enemies are nearby, you’re falling or inside a building, you can always fast travel, with nothing stopping you. Back to positives, every location and side-quest has a backstory, that can be accessed by one of the hundreds of books. On the topic of quests, they’re another thing Skyrim nails on the head. The sheer quantity of quests is mind-boggling, and, yes, you do find rand, miscellaneous fetch quests. But everything not listed under the Misc. tab is extremely solid. The main questline is about you, the sacred Dragonborn, a brother to dragons, bringing down the harbinger of the end times, the world eater, Alduin. And I’m just going to say, the final boss fight is extremely disappointing. It’s just a normal, re-skinned enemy, but this time you have three people assisting you. There are also guild questlines, which conclude much smoother than the main campaign, but it faces a problem this game has; it tries to make you feel like a chosen one. This does detract from the experience as a victory feels more given than earnt. The game also has slightly sloppy combat, with swordplay feeling weightless most of the time. Also the necessity of a bow to stand a chance against a dragon, before Dragonrend, is slightly annoying, although Archery was one of my favourite methods of combat. Magic was also varied, and I fondly remember looking up how to find new spells, and the journeys that I took the find them. While I found schools such Illusion to be useless to me personally, I can see the true appeal in it. Shouts are a new concept that are well-implemented, and bring brand new things to do, and Fus-Ro-Dahing a poor goat off the Throat of the World will never be boring. The game also looks quite nice for a seventh-generation open-world game, and I still have an extremely fond memory of exploring the outside of Winterhold, Masser and Secunda high in the sky, an aurora floating in the sky, and me fighting off a frost troll. Those gaming memories never leave you. The music, composed by Jeremey Soule is a fine example of how a calm soundtrack is made, with a bombastic main theme, which a masterful rendition of Morrowind’s. Oh, and it’s by Bethesda. Which means that this game contains more bugs than the Amazon. From horses that manage to climb 90 degree, vertical slopes to characters not showing up until you wait an in-game hour, this game has it all. And while Sony didn’t really like the idea of large mods, smaller ones that greatly tweak the game are there. And now we get to the end. This game is one that will be remembered for decades, or until the next Elder Scrolls game releases, and everyone disses Skyrim as trash. Either way, it will still always remain on my list for its beautiful world, its memorable characters and quests and elegant soundtrack.… Expand

    If you are totally new to Skyrim and have never played it before and you love RPG games, then this game is really special. Don't worry about the negative reviews. Honestly, the game is repetitive and quests can get boring actually. If all you do is complete quests and have zero interest in reading the books and getting immersed then yeah the game will get dull fast(and I can't blame you, it's not for everyone).

    Also, the bugs people are reporting and giving a 0/10 to the game is ridiculous. I finished the whole game and encountered at most 2 or 3 crashes for an entire playtime of 40 hours. There's no way this game is so buggy as people report here. Some reviews highly exaggerate things just to justify giving this game a low score. Perhaps they are disappointed to find out the game bores them after all these years. Sure you can give it a low score for that reason but don't tell everyone else it deserves low scores because it was unplayable because of bugs or because it's somehow totally different than the ps3 version(lol, it's literally an exact copy with slightly better graphics).    … Expand

    i never got around to playing Skyrim when it came out so I played the special edition without playing any previous Elder scrolls games and I absolutely love it!

Still a fun open world APRG after all these years and nothing else on the market that comes even close to Skyrim. Compared to Fallout 4 well Skyrim is a technical dream. Skyrim was a beautifully land to explore back in the day and more so now in the special edition . The leveling and crafting is fairly accessible and easy to understand as in ARPG-lite. The combat with the melee, ranged and magic is very fluid with some nice kill cams. Good game for people who have the wanderlust bug who want to do cool stuff on the way to seeing cool stuff.

    My personal console version gripe was/is with the limited two real time quickslots. Way to much pausing to swap in and out stuff really disrupted the gameplay flow. Shame they didn't stick to the old eight quick slots way like in F03/FNV, Morrowind/Oblivion format. On PC you do get 8 quickslots via keyboard, but not with controller, oh well.    … Expand

    Skyrim was one of my favorite games ever on Xbox 360 where it ran like a dream gave you the full ememersive experience. Skyrim still remains one of my favorite games ever and I highly recommend it to anyone who even remotely enjoys gaming. But do yourself a favor and don't buy this game on PS4 (or PS3 for that matter). If you have a PC, Xbox One, or even an Xbox 360, please do yourself a favor and purchase Skyrim on one of those systems. I promise you won't regret it.… Expand

    I loved Skyrim back when it first came out, and this re-release made me fall into the world of Tamriel all over again. It doesn't do much to improve on the past iteration besides a few bug fixes and better graphics.

Found it on sale, just wanted to chill out and replay a classic...instead it's all about buying stuff for the game and same old framerate-chugging combat. Avoid unless you are some weird fan of this game that somehow hasn't played it yet, cuz you've probably played a better version otherwise.

    While it has it's flaws and a few notable bugs here and there, it's probably the best and most wide-open-ended-world RPG ever created. You will never finish every subquest. You will never have nothing left to do. Never.

    And don't listen to the "zero reviews", that's people throwing a friggin tantrum. This is one of the most popular (and for good reason) RPG's of all time. Yes it has some bugs, all Bethesda games do. You just deal with it. Keep auto-save on, big deal. You'll spend 100-200 hours on this, for sure.

    Do note that it's not too much different from the PS3 version, though. If you never played Skyrim, get this version. If you want to play it on PS4 and are okay with just minor improvements, it's still cool. If you're looking for a complete remaster with long-known bugs fixed? No.

    I don't like the melee interface at all, but the magic and bow interfaces are top-notch. I absolutely love playing a stealth-archer style. if you REALLY like melee, then this is not the best interface. It's still enjoyable overall, but there's no dodging, and aiming your melee weapon is about as good as the ridiculous Jedi Academy games.

    Gameplay 9/10

    A couple points off for a crappy melee system, but everything else is really neat. It can be flaky at times, especially if you try some buggy and weird things like riding your horse up the side of a mountain or jumping off cliffs into dragon nests. But overall, it does what you want and is fully engaging at all times. The bugs you get used to.

    The enemy AI is stupid, unfortunately. A point off for that. Instead of being smart, it cheats and knows your location once discovered. Then you get swarmed and die. So you get good at taking things very slowly, unless you're a tank.

    Creativity 8/10

    While a lot of it is standard-fare fantasy RPG, it has it's share of neat storylines, locations, and peoples to interact with. It has a unique feel to it, and doesn't feel trite.

    Music 9/10

    The music often gets stuck in my head for days after a lot of playing. The main theme, played when fighting dragons, especially. Very well done. I'd listen to it beyond playing the game and have been tempted to buy the OST.

    Visuals 9/10

    The backgrounds and locations are really well rendered and engaging. I really feel like I'm sneaking through magical caves, dank catacombs, enchanted forests, and grand castles. I wish they had a camera feature like in Horizon Zero Dawn, for better screenshots, but it's still well done.

    Characters 7/10

    Your own character has no personality, so not much to speak of there, but you do run into some interesting NPC's. Though Serana (on the right here) blows them all away in terms of interactability and personality. As soon as you can start the vampire plotline in the vampire DLC, do so, and get her as a follower. It makes the rest of the game much better.

    Plotline 8/10

    Also mostly standard-fare fantasy stuff, but with a unique elder scrolls flair. Hard for me to judge, after playing through it dozens of times now, but it always held my attention after all that time, so that says something about it.

    Emotional Engagement 6/10

    Without character development, it's hard to say, but I feel for some of the characters that I'm interacting with, at least.

    Replayability 10/10

    Infinitely replayable. On MULTIPLE occasions, I won the game and immediately restarted another character. That says it all. I wish it had a New Game+ mode, but it doesn't matter, because you can cheat and buff your characters pretty quickly if you really want to.

    Also, there's a ton of add-ons and hacks. Especially on Xbox or PC. PS4 is sadly limited, as Sony has weird legal regulations that limit what they want uploaded to their servers. Which is a shame. I hope they revisit this before the next sequel comes out, and get over themselves and allow things.

    Difficulty */10

    Difficulty is up to you. There's multiple settings. Start with normal and up it as you buff yourself. These days, I start new games on the hardest difficulty and manage fine even with no armor or weapons, because I'm used to the game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I rushed through this game on PS3 and didn’t really enjoy it. Yet I really enjoy Bethesda’s RPG games. So I decided to buy it for PS4 and play it properly. Well, what can I say that hasn’t been said already, yes its a fun game, yes you can literally play it how you want with whatever build suits you ( I’m heavy armour and mace & shield player, trying to be sauron from lotr). Plenty of quests to keep you going and ranking up ! The game also came with all the dlc, 2 of which are great 1 not so much (which il get to in a bit). The trophies are pretty straight forward apart from 3 (which il get to in a bit). As for Bethesda’s infamous glitches, as long as they don’t effect the trophies I’m honestly ok with it, it makes the game unintentionally funny. I haven’t downloaded any mods as these disable trophies and that’s a price I just can’t pay. So no comment on mods. So now the negative stuff, luckily it’s nothing game breaking just a few nagging annoyances that spoil the game a bit. The trophies, the one in the main trophy list that will give you the most hassle is definitely the thieves guild final one, although it’s not hard, actually really easy, it’s just pure padding. Literally the game becomes fast travel simulator for about 4 hours. Still not a big problem, just annoying. Next up, the 2 trophies in the dlc, the trophy for killing a legendary dragon is definitely a grind, as they don’t spawn in until you’re around level 70, so be sure to save this trophy till last. Then the other trophy for creating the stealhem ( however it’s spelt) armour, this can be frustrating as the npc you need to talk to can die off screen, plus when can only be spoken to after the end game. But the real kicker is, you need to have Ebony smithing unlocked. If you’re a light armour player going for the trophies, you will hate this. Not a massive problem but it shouldn’t be tied to any armour smithing. As for the dlc, heartfire. This should of been part of the main game on release not dlc, the trophies are stupid, the whole dlc is (in game currency) expensive, just a boring expansion just to build your house! Now I know some players would love this and I would like it too, if it was in the main game not dlc! So overall, if you love stuff like lord of the rings, game of thrones, merlin etc.. you’ll love this. If you’re a player who doesn’t care about trophies, you’ll love this. Finally, if you like collecting trophies, this is a tad frustrating but nothing overall, just be sure to plan out your journey and you’ll be fine, i started really collecting them around level 45 and everything has worked out fine. As a personal note, I prefer Bethesda’s fallout (3 & new Vegas, not that trash 4) RPG games more than Skyrim, but Skyrim is still an amazing game to get immense fun out of. Happy gaming!… Expand

    I was hoping as a re-release there would be a little more polish to the game. i don't mind the occasional frame rate drop or character clipping, but when I’m tossed off a mountain for riding a horse or am unable to start a DLC quest witout phasing through a wooden plate because the game’s AI refuses to open a gate, I take issue.

    But it is a game with issues and bugs that weigh it down. Bethesda is known for this.
    I am really not drawn to RPG´s as i used to be in the 90´s. But there is something about Skyrim that keeps you going despite its errors. If you pick this up cheap you have hundreds of hours you can sink into it.
    I am not really a big fan of Bethesda as i don´t really like they style of game making and constant recycle of their PS3-looking game engine. They really need to reinvent themselves and move on.

    PRO:
    - Great vast world stuffed with content. Exploring is rewarding and fun. Deep realms and other dimensions are featured.
    - Value for you money. Hours of gameplay
    - Decent music score.
    - Dragons are cool..
    - Story concept is brilliant...

    CONS:
    - ...but not so well executed in details..
    - Atrociously bad combat. Simple hack & slash. Magic is pretty meh and pointless to use.
    - Virtually NO stealth mechanics.
    - Absolute terrible voice acting. The game has like 3 male and 1 female voice actor total.
    - Even this remaster has tons of bugs. Stuck missions is sadly still one of them.
    - As a remastered game, it looks better but it is still outdated.
    - This is a hoarder game. You can collect virtually everything lying around that you never will need.    … Expand

Each playthrough I do is different and interesting and after you complete the first couple missions, the world is your oyster.     Take that arrow out of your knee! Graphics have been improved mightily and the npc's are still incredibly boring. Picking up thousands of useless items has also returned. That being said, it is still well worth sinking time into this epic game.

    I feel over all this game is amazing. The graphics are beautiful, the game play is smooth, minus a few hiccups here and there with glitches. This game is jammed packed with side quests and fun things none main story related. It has plenty of DLC and the game could be played for a long time without running out of things to do or discover.     Another game my wife and I played through at the same time. It was amazing being able to talk about our different chars and different decisions as we went along. Big, beautiful open world. Amazing quests. Loved it

    I was late to the Skyrim experience, but even then it was still a fantastic game with deep lore and interesting characters and storylines, as well as endless content with its iconic gameplay. It has aged well and is a quintessential RPG.

    There is a lot of fun to be had with this game, but it all comes down to whether or not you want to play the DLC, as the base game itself is the best experience you'll get.

    The story is well written, the design is cool, some npc's are written well meanwhile other no, the combat system is a little bit slow and hard to get used to.

    It’s the all in one adventure game of the ages! It is personally my favorite game I have ever played and all though it came out a long time ago it is still super, super fun to play. You can even get a horse, a dog, and a friend to help you fight dragons. You can complete quests, clear caves, join guilds, and even become a mage.

    In the Skyrim main storyline, you are the legendary Dragonborn, and you have to join sides with either the stormcloacks or the imperials in order to save Skyrim from collapse. I have played so far, I have played for maybe 15 hours straight, and even I haven’t gotten very far. The main storyline lasts about 30 hours but there are so many side quests it should take 60-70 hours.

    If you arent the violent type you could try trading to earn your coin. If you want to you can buy a house in most cities, and you are able to adopt two children and get married. Another thing you can do is build a house. Building a house makes the house much larger and you can choose which rooms you want, but it costs much more if you don’t want to gather all the resources yourself.

    Those are some of the many reasons I love Skrim and that’s why I recommend it. There are many games I play but this one is by far my favorite. So next time you’re bored and trying to find a game to play, try Skyrim. Skyrim does not work on a PlayStation five and may contain some stuff that may not be appropriate for all ages.    … Expand

    Before diving into my review, I wanted to say that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was my favorite game for a long time; almost thousands of hours were spent in this game back then, but since I played it on my PS4 now, I wanted to review this version.

    The gameplay is still good! The combat system    Before diving into my review, I wanted to say that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was my favorite game for a long time; almost thousands of hours were spent in this game back then, but since I played it on my PS4 now, I wanted to review this version.
    The plot isn't anything special but the rich lore really makes up for a decent story overall.
    The gameplay is still good! The combat system hasn't aged well but the game is very addictive even to this day thanks to its depth, variety and unparalleled open world design.
    The RPG elements are awesome, the world is very big, there are so many side-quests to do and there is so much hidden lore.
    The graphics don't look as nice as they did back then but the world is still quite gorgeous.
    The expansions (Dawnguard & Dragonborn) are great; they add 2 of the best quest-lines in the game + some very cool additions into the game.
    Also, if there is one thing in this game that will never age, it's the music; Skyrim's music is a masterpiece!
    Unfortunately though, a part of the game that aged like milk is the dungeon design; many dungeons are similar to each other and they get repetitive after a while.
    Lastly, a personal issue I have with this version of the game is that after playing the original version for years, I felt like I was just doing a new playthrough. My experience with this version was not as exciting as it was with the original version back then.
    The game is still very addictive though and that makes up for most of it's flaws.

    Pros:
    + Rich lore
    + Fun gameplay
    + Excellent world design
    + Amazing RPG elements
    + Huge world filled with of content + DLCs
    + Godlike soundtrack

    Cons:
    - Repetitive dungeon design

    It's been nearly a decade since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's first release and this game still manages to offer a solid RPG experience that holds a very special place in my heart.

    Since this is a remaster I was hoping they would have improved on a lot of the bugs in the game. I wasn't able to join the thieves guild because of a glitch for on of the quest turn in locations. Other than that, this game is fantastic. The open world is fun to explore, there are lots of enemies to kill, the dungeons are exciting, etc. The story had a bit of an underwhelming finish butSince this is a remaster I was hoping they would have improved on a lot of the bugs in the game.     I know this game has been remade or remastered more times then there are numbers but that doesn't stop it being a fun game. Of course the mechanics & graphics are starting to show their age. But if you think back to when it was originally released they were great. Also for how much content they jammed into this game it was ahead of its time. What I do like: - Lots of quests, fractions and stuff to explore! - Lovely details in quests and in NPC interaction. - Gameplay can fit to every playstyle and can even be changed during the game. - Challenges players to play the    So much love for this game!

    - DLCs are fun and not just a money-making add-on.

    What I don't like:
    - The graphics are quite outdated, sometimes when being in a cave, I find it hard to orientate because the surfaces are flat.
    - Some features could have been designed more convenient, like a central cheast in your house where you can store all of your building materials and don't have to take it and overencumber yourself.

    I'm still playing it on my first play-through and don't want it to end :-(
    But I still planned how I want to play it on my second time. Awesome game!    … Expand

    Special Edition is a boring remaster – there’s no new content and the visual update is modest. Nonetheless it’s the best way to play Skyrim on a console and a good reason to spend another couple hundred hours in one of few games that are truly worth it. [13/2016, p.67]
