    A great expansion for a pretty good MMORPG. Summerset is a good way to start your adventure inside The Elder Scrolls Online.

    Summerset is a wonderful expansion for fans of ESO and people looking to jump in. The expressive new soundtrack and change of scenery are elegant and grandiose, and the detailed landscape provides endless corners and coves to explore. As expected, the lore is incredibly deep and offers an intimate opportunity to get to know the striving, high-brow Elves who inhabit the land.

    For those who have been playing The Elder Scrolls Online consistently, Summerset is only a natural progression to continue with, but for people who have taken a break and are looking for an excuse to get back in the game or people who have been curious to start, this is a great place to resume or start an adventure.

    The Elder Scrolls: Summerset might try to scratch that The Elder Scrolls itch we are all getting lately. It tells a good story, it offers new contents for new and returning players, it unlocks a new line of interesting spells and abilities.

Heavy microtransactions and a steep "premium" subscription on top of the initial charge for everything past the Morrowind "chapter" of what is otherwise a solid--if inconsistent and confusing--action MMO.

    Still--it's a fun romp with friends. It's like a TES-themed westernized modern version of TERA with an interesting, but shallow setting and writing. Keep one's expectations low, and you'll have fun.    … Full Review »
