Dec 7, 2014Real average game, the graphics are below average, the gameplay is boring and dull, the story is very very cheesy. It had a lot of potential but it fails to deliver. 5/10

Nov 11, 2015The race i good, the graphics is good, hell the gameplay is perfect! Although, I'm really upset that, this game required internet connection to play, but what the hell, it's still worth playing. I hoped The next installment won't feature stupid internet connection!

Nov 3, 2015Started off as a good game, but slowly I came to the realization that this game is trash. It's fun with friends and the map is large, but other than that, I don't recommend it. The update would have been good, if it was for free. The update (The Crew: Wild Run) should have been the initial game.

Mar 18, 2015An initially promising, good looking game, completely ruined by CHEAP mechanics and frustrating game design. What's worse, is that the game's narrators repeatedly INSULT you at every turn. Otherwise, a mix between Forza Horizon and a story based Need for Speed game of old.

Jun 19, 2017Well this was a massive disappointment. All the promises we were given almost none were delivered until years later. Well the driving was still good at least.

Nov 9, 2015The Crew isn't the best looking game, nor does it have the best story but its ambitious open world is enjoyable to explore. Buy this game for the open world, the atmosphere and the long road trips ahead. 7/10

Jan 7, 2019Day and night cycle, abundance of choices in cars and the map are pretty big redeeming factors in my opinion. Story had potential. It was simply ok.
-

Sep 2, 2023I always liked Test Drive Unlimited and The Crew gave me that vibe. It was pure fun. Game has huge map, a lot of cars and different missions and tasks. Soundtrack is decent and overall game looks good, especially with changing weather conditions. Putting a story in this kind of game is a hit or miss, and it falls flat a bit.

Feb 18, 2015The Crew can be enjoyable for some casual cross-country joy rides, especially if you have some friends to drive along. However, it comes up entirely short of most of its goals, and makes a wreck of car handling and competition for the sake of lackluster MMO mechanics.

Playstation Official Magazine UKFeb 7, 2015An ambitious hybrid of racing and role-playing that fails to deliver a meaningful story or make the most of its extraordinary setting. [Feb 2015, p.85]
-
Edge MagazineFeb 7, 2015While moments of genuine beauty exist, they occur in the context of a game that otherwise simply cannot compete with its contemporaries when it comes to visual presentation - a symptom, perhaps, of the seven-year development cycle. [Feb 2015, p.104]
