Table Top Racing is a competent enough arcade style racer with a decent selection of online and single player options but games from both the past and present, such as Micro Machines, Mashed and Mario Kart, do what this does better. For a PS+ freebie its fine but it simply doesn't give you any reason to want to play it for all that long.

It's mildly addicting in the beginning because of the short tracks and a unique setting. A lot of the environment is interactable like spray paint cans or pieces of sushi. Manipulating these is refreshing since these objects don't have predefined animations. Also the AI behaves very similar to players in that they will fall off the track if you play things the right way. What seems to be a mario kart competitor, it does not have local multiplayer which is odd for the audience this game will bring in. The artwork and levels are great. The soundtrack can get a bit annoying though. It's a fun game for casual play, but nothing really grips you that will bring you back on a constant basis. Expand

This game is mediocre at best, the game has some things that are nice, but the controls are really not that great. The upgrades feels kinda strange, and feels like they do little.

Picked up as the free game of the month on the ps+ scheme, nice little game which makes the job, not the best, not the worst, but quick and no bugs. If you like some quicky racing games based on toys it is ok, however when will we have again a remaster of fun tracks the best in its category for me

I picked up this game from Playstation+. This is nice game, created with passion, but it is very poor game. Small content and this game are very quickly boring.

Downloaded it free on PS+ played it as a distraction from Dark Souls 3. I thought it was a really nice, fun little game. But no local multiplayer ? what the hell are they thinking. Would have given it 8, but without the ability to play with friends on your couch... what's the point

    What sport is it?

Racing Are there any similar games? It reminded me of Diddy Kong racing, the way you can level up the items and make them more powerful. Would you play it again? I played through all of the single player and unfortunately there isn’t a lot more I can do single player wise. So probably not. Any complaints? There is no local multiplayer, there is online

Just your standard racer with pickups. The driving is poor, as turning feels awful, there is no fluidity to movement, as you just feel you are navigating this big metal block. Maneuvers such as drifting aren't receptive, as well as crashes. No damage to vehicles. Pickups are boring standard run of the mill stuff. Game feels very bare bones. There are a fun standard modes, and every map/track feels same with a different coat of paint (background). Online play is the playing the same mode on the small amount of maps, and if you get behind you never catch up. I played for 30 min and started to feel repetitive. If you want to grind the AI championships you can unlock higher level cars race the computer with, but that's about it. There's nothing distinctive or interesting about this game besides that you are supposed to be small in tabletop environements. But the driving and control is poor, as well as the combat/itemization. Feels like a low-budget indie game. Play mario kart instead. Expand

Looks good and the cars handle pretty well once you get use to them, single player was solid however i was let down by the multiplayer either getting a network error or being kicked from the game after a few seconds.

    PS+ freebie for May 16:

That time again, and another few games to get my teeth into. Table Top Racing initially reminded me of Micro-machines for the Amiga 500+. The mods to cars are pretty limited, but actually mean the races are often down to skill and a little luck once you reach a championship race. I'm not a fan of cars. Motor racing i associate with 2hours of going round in a loop with a car winning from the off and finally winning it. Most car games reflect this boredom i feel for the sport - but this, alongside the excellent Rocket League make excellent exceptions to the rule. This is an arcade like driving game, it feels like a more physics based mario-kart than anything else.

Graphics are ok, nothing special, and the music isn't really to my taste, but it works.

My only real flaw in this game is how easy it is to go from 1st to 8th due to what i see as AI bugs - generally AI opponents use their weapons against the leader, but i do find sometimes I'd be in the middle of the pack and seem to be the only one singled out for a rocket in my face.

A fun game though, for FREE, a great game, if it wasn't I'd still pay £10 for this

The multiplayer part could work better but the single player it's good on it's own with many activities to do and many cars to purchase. On the other side I actually think that for being a PS+ free game it's fine to give it a try.

Fun little arcade racer. I've been looking for a game like this for a while now. I tend to not be as interested in the "driving simulator" genre. The gameplay isnt super deep, but everything is tight and works. Reminds me a lot of Diddy Kong Racing back in the old days. Its not perfect, but heck, it's only $4 or available on PSNow. Good stuff.

It doesn't feel like your position in the race changes your powerups. You can get useless powerups while in last place. The tracks have different routs that change it up, but the few tracks do get boring after a while. Expand

Não é ruim, é até divertido, porém tem poucos modos de corrida e poucos carros. Mas dá pra se divertir.

For what could be an exciting arcade racer Table Top Racing: World Tour fails to make an impression. It's an acceptable racer but it does little to distinguish itself leaving it feeling standard and boring.

Table Top Racing combines the mini game that is Micro Machines with the battles in Mario Kart, but it forgets to also add the fun aspect of these titles.
