I just got this game and it's so goddamn annoying that every time I die I have to redo like 6 stages before I get back to the point where I can try again. The gameplay itself is okay when your hands/position is not bugging out which it does more often than other vr games but damn the forced replays really suck. Just give us an option! It gets boring really quickly redoing the same levels over and over again. They should provide a level select from the beginning. It must be a really short game if they have to resort to this nonsense to pad the length. Also the throwing mechanic is horrible and doesn't work at all. Expand

This game has the absolute worst tracking of any PSVR game out there. When I'm holding a gun, it just starts spinning around and there are other times where my arm is all of a sudden across the room. Throwing things is a pain because it doesn't work very well. The only reason I even gave it a rating of 3 and not 0 is because it could be a great game if they would fix this. When you die, it makes you redo the last like four levels before you can redo the level that you died on. That's also really annoying. Superhot is honestly one of the few games I actually regret wasting money on. Expand

The Idea and the "Bulletproof" / Slow Motion Effekt is really nice. But this game is like a Tech Demo and no real game. Also the throughing of the knifes and bottles etc. doesnt work really well.

The concept of the game is incredible. However, PSVR is really, really, really, really bad at detecting specific motions that the game heavily relies on. For instance, there are a bunch of objects lying around that you can throw, that you MUST throw to survive. The problem, you can't. You can fling your hand as hard as you can, so hard that it hurts your arm, and PSVR can't detect it.The concept of the game is incredible. I tried throwing slow, throwing fast, throwing soft, throwing hard, etc etc. PSVR can't detect any of it. You throw hard and the item falls slowly to the floor exactly below it. You pick it up, you throw, it falls to your feet. You pick it up, you throw, it falls to your feet. It would be a great game if it worked. Expand

Superhot VR was a proof of concept that won the hearts and minds of any non-gamer we handed it to. But for serious gamers, this is an offering lazier than the bullets depicted. [October 2017, p77]

Wonky tech and punishing challenges will leave your cold, but with our without VR, this has moments of brilliance that are worth the price of admission alone. [Oct 2017, p.88]

SUPERHOT VR is a dazzling experience that manages to improve on what was already mind-bendingly intense. I didn’t think it was possible, but the developers have improved on SUPERHOT, cutting what little fat there was off of and leaving only the purest moments of intense violence. SUPERHOT was a completely bold and different addition to the world of FPSs, and SVR manages to do exactly the same thing to the virtual reality scene.
