There's a fun 1940s charm to this game that I initially warmed to, the old-time radio show narration oozed dry wit and, when playing solo, gives you a little bit of humorous company when you're all alone in a dungeon killing brain dead zombies.

There's a fun 1940s charm to this game that I initially warmed to, the old-time radio show narration oozed dry wit and, when playing solo, gives you a little bit of humorous company when you're all alone in a dungeon killing brain dead zombies.

I played this game solo, and after a few hours the well ran dry for me. Hoards and hoards and hoards and hoards of enemies just shambling after me became kinda dull, and the shooting felt janky and unpolished. I used the shotgun because aiming was annoyingly finicky.

Levelling wasn't super satisfying either, and don't get me started on the save points, - they're few and far between. In fact I put my controller down for the last time after an extremely extended boss area that had me fight literally five different waves of enemies with their own specific boss only to be killed at the eleventh hour and turfed all the way to the beginning of the challenge.

After dying I realised my mistake but I just couldn't bring myself to go through all those waves again... no. Nope. No way. Not a chance in hell baby.

Also health was a pain to find, now the game generally isn't crazy challenging but I was always very low on health. I read there was a gem you can find that gives a little health on every kill so that would've been pretty darn handy.

The game's definitely a budget title so I wouldn't spend $60 US on it, but if you wanna play co op with a bunch of friends and you get this game at a bargain price then yea, you should get a few good hours out of it.

Waste of time. Extremely boring and unoriginal. The game design of this game is like 20 years behind

Trash company, trash game. They do not deserve any support as they specialize in lying, cheating and stealing, which we get plenty of from our govts.

If Strange Brigade has the good idea to offer an original set and tone in the kind of cooperative shooter, it does so either too late or too bad, but in any case, it does not fully convince. Especially against the competition already in place.

Entertaining co-op shooter, brightened up with puzzles, that shows its top form with several players.

A great campaign (with Score Attack mode for extra replayability), and an evergreen Horde mode. Fun when played with friends, with strangers, and when played alone? How strange. [Issue#154, p.88]
