All in all, Strange Brigade is a solid romp that runs very well on Nintendo’s limited hardware. If you and a few friends are looking for a good cooperative diversion to blast through on the weekend, then you can look no further. If you’re hoping for a true successor to Left 4 Dead on the Switch, temper those expectations a bit. Otherwise, come in for the zombie and mummy hordes, and stay for the absolutely endless alliteration the narrator provides. Also, each hero’s special ability is just over the top and cool. My personal favorite being a lasso of doom that vaporizes anything in front.

Strange Brigade is a fun and exciting game that’s much better experienced with friends than alone. It does sacrifice graphics for performance and, although that’s not a bad thing, it would have been nice to have seen it not looking so dated.

Your journey take you into ancient Greek-Egyptian ruins to solve interesting puzzle mechanisms like lighting bolts machines, pelmanism on walls with symbols and shooting mechanism and of course fight many kind of zombies, mummies and ghoul natives.Mostly its based on fight for your life as shooter game.Your goal is to stop evil goddess queen. You can collect journals to uncover what happened with your lost friends and writings of people stories. In my opinion graphics are great and also sounds. Its not realistic but pretty immersive, atmosphere of Indiana Jones movies and funny commentaries of narrator goes with the mood. There are many ways you can go and explore the area and find special artifacts like small statues or fragments of temples. There are also some good jumpscares.Even you are do exactly same thing every mission you dont feel bored like it was just shooter game. What should be better is cutscenes....every story cutscene is on the blimp where people talking about mission. I didnt finished game yet but every cutscene I saw is like this and thats not creative and little bit dull. Some corners of areas arent possible to enter what is problem of many games nowadays. This is semi open world game so its ok but should be better. In adventure should be some vehicles to drive to give it really adventurous mood but there is none but again its standard nowadays what is sad.Co op,survival, leaderboards and score made some bonus to the game. Its good ideas I think. I dont want critize game I really enjoyed even something I will made it more exciting so there are 9 points but...you know what I mean :D Expand

I would say it's a 1920/30's set, mix of Doom 2016 gameplay (in that you traverse levels to get to kill rooms) and Left4Dead (the co-op nature) all with the backdrop of Indiana Jones like tomb raiding. It has various locales and its very well rendered. Graphically detailed and a very solid framerate too. There's a variety of enemies from basic mummies to centurion mummies, giant scorpions and scarab swarms. There's plenty of hectic battles with overwhelming numbers of enemies. The narrator is fun and gives out plenty of sarcastic jibes in places. I played it in solo mode as I usually play these kinds of games and it was great imo. I personally loved the puzzles solving to gain access to more treasure or weaponry and so it becomes a bit of a collect-em-up, which I love. Then you get to more kill rooms and its full on blast fest, with a required mentality of old skool Gauntlet games trying to minimize enemy numbers so you can bottleneck them or run around so that they follow and clear a path to a super weapon chest, then it really becomes fun. All in all I would recommend this game, it plays well, has puzzles and collectables and DLC too. Only marked down a little because it can get a bit repetitive in places (a bit like Doom does), and that it doesn't have more outlandish set pieces to really wow the player. Expand

While there’s no doubt that graphically things have been pulled back a bit from my top-notch graphics card I was impressed with the look and performance of the Switch version… though as always portably the sacrifices are a bit more pronounced. Whether solo or with others online or locally you’ll be tackling some old-school mummified enemies of various kinds, looking for secrets, working out puzzles, and generally being a badass in the classic Indiana Jones-esque sort of manner. While this is a shooter without a doubt the pacing is much slower than you’d normally find, with a focus on accuracy, making use of a wide variety of traps that are pretty well everywhere, and your occasional special skill that can get you out of a jam. On top of the action a highlight for me is the running commentary from the classically styled narrator who reinforces the older period things are taking place in and injecting all sorts of funny commentary on different going on throughout. If you’re looking for a shooter that’s simply in a class of its own I’d definitely recommend joining up with the Strange Brigade.

Strange Brigade is a coop 3rd person shooter, imagine indian jones meets tomb raider, metts uncharted, but with none of the crazy moments to keep you pulled into its 6 and a half hour journey…
you choose one of 4 charcters to go through this campaing either solo or with friend.. I played solo.. and this game is super challenging if you do so.. not dark souls level, but you really have to carfully pick and choose battles, here youll be running around these little maps, shhoting the undead in your way, and solving super simple puzzles.. that’s it.. that’s the game.. its super hcarming with its chaacters and narration, but otherwise this is a world you’ve seen dozens of times.. its easy to get bored with how repetitive and unenjoyable it actually is to get through if youre playing by yourself… maps here feel like overwhelming mazed despite being fairly linear.. so why not just make then linear in the way a division or outriders is… I for one am not a fan of feeling overhwlmed in games, and strange pregade constantly made me feel this way… youre basically running around trying to find puzzle, solve, it, or clear a room to move on.. where the fun comes in.. at leastp laying solo is when you find these special crates oyu ca buy epic weapons from and just clean house,.. this is when strange brigade is at its best.. when I was having an absolute blast… otherwise if youre playing solo, there isn’t much fun to be had here…there is no amazing story or crazy moments during the campaign that begs you to push through.. this feels like a game where you have a bunch of dumb fun with friends, shoot some undead while a 1930s voiceover narrates everything going on.. and for that reason I can appreciate what this game is and what it sets out to do….
its just a shame its hard to enjoy playing alone..
Bring some friends though, and Strange Brigade can be a blast
    I give Strange Brigade
    a 7/10
