Terrible game. The gameplay is lackluster. Dark Souls may be the game of the decade but this is a terrible clone. I bought it on sale but regretted already. It will probably sell a lot because of the name Star Wars but it should have been delayed.

A mix of Tarzan and icecapades. I get swinging from an occasional vine in a game but they over use this to death. Also the sliding forces mechanics are irrelevant and overly clunky controls makes it crappy.

This is a much better game than EA have done since having the star wars license does have some rough edges but the story is great and late game will make your hairs stand on end. I wish it didn't finish when it did as would have been amazing ah well just have to wait till the next chapter in this series as it's set up well overall well worth a play

To be short this game is a must-have for all Star Wars fans, but for the other, I would advise watching some reviews since it has its problems.

Fighting 3/4- Good fighting system with a lot of potentials. Nevertheless, it takes a long time before you would feel that you are actually playing for a Jedi and not some dude with a lightsaber( but I think it is only a problem when you play on high difficulty levels)

Story- 2/3 If we talk about the story I will say that there is nothing special( I think if the same level of storytelling will be in the sequel I will give 1/3, but for the first try it plays it role)

Graphics 2/2- same nothing special, but some times we see great backgrounds.

Music 0/1 - For me as a Star Wars fan music plays an imported role in the games especially in a Star Wars game. At the end of the game, o couldn't remember any good soundtrack, and in addition, you barely hear any during the game. The only one I can remember is the one that they usually play in the movies/ games when the main hero is in danger.

This game is exactly what i want in an adventure style game. It perfectly depicts the feeling of being only human, or normal, with the difficulty in enemies. While at the same time produces those triumphant moments we crave when we finally defeat our foes.the world design is fun, interactive, and worth revisiting to chart out all territory. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

    Disappointment of the year.
While characters and plot are decent and gripping, it all falls down to atrocious controls and one of the worst game mechanics I've seen in my gaming years. The game doesn't register input from your controller half of the time so combat is basically always with a handicap. One wrong step while in combat (which happens 99% of the time), stagger animation triggers and before it plays out, enemies usually shoot/club you to death. Difficulty in this game is represented by throwing as many enemies at you as possible with a random rocket launcher wielding stormtrooper shooting at you from a distance to top it off. Every enemy is faster, their attacks reach further and they always block everything. Bosses are overpowered and boring AF.
You play as the clunkiest jedi in the universe and it doesn't get any better even after 10 hours of gameplay. And the people who claim it's super easy even on the hardest difficulty either lie or they played it on story mode difficulty.

    Graphics are ok.

I give the game a golden medal for some of the best lightsaber duels ever put in games, Souls-like combat fits here perfectly, and creates a wonderful sense of progression from a weak, pushover padawan into a full-blown Jedi knight who is a force to be reckoned with. The atmosphere of Star Wars with it's sounds and visuals is unmatched. I love this universe. Great game!

The game is fun. It’s hard to not have a blast while you’re slashing through enemies, fighting giant spiders, or performing uncharted-like platforming & puzzle solving. While it’s all generally fun, the game has some issues. The mini-map is horrible, fights feel repetitive, and overall the game feels like a mixture of games I’ve played before, only with the Star Wars universe behind it.

SW:JFO has given me faith again in the franchise. The look and feel places one right there in the universe. The voice acting is not perfect, but is quite good. Also, I say with no shame, I am Team BD-1 (the droid that accompanies our main character)

I couldn't give the game a 10/10 because there are some puzzles where it is completely impossible to figure out if you're on the right

I couldn't give the game a 10/10 because there are some puzzles where it is completely impossible to figure out if you're on the right track and often it becomes a matter of luck and not logic that the puzzle is solved.

The controls are fairly comprehensive, but the parrying system is weak and lackluster. There is no sense of weight to the attacks. The best game in recent memory that has a sense of weight and satisfaction to an attack is Batman: Arkham Asylum. For those who've played B:AA, you know exactly what I'm talking about. The attacks in SW:JFO are just too light and feathery and do not match the excellent animation.

Fallen Order is all about the narrative. Discovery and character interaction is king in this game. So if you're looking for non-stop, breakneck action at every turn, this is not the game for you. But if you're looking for a standalone story in the Star Wars universe that tells a tale of a lone Jedi trying to keep the faith, this game and story is for you.

The developer of this game, Respawn, has officially put to rest any doubt from the likes of EA that single player games are dead. Respawn has loudly and proudly affirmed that single player is alive and well by thumping their chests and saying 'Let us show you how it's done!'

Star Wars is back on the menu, boys!

Fluent game play, strong story/characters, amazing visuals (admit it: we've gotten spoiled too much), and especially a very intelligent combination of exploration, puzzle solving, character building and fighting. In short: well-balanced 21th century game ingredients. Further: elegant Star Wars look and feel. I also liked the extras (making off, art design ...) and the music. Well worth the money!

Yes, I'm completely serious. Even taking into consideration the 40-years of Star Wars video games we've received, this one stands out as being the absolute best from a gameplay and story telling perspective. Perhaps most impressive is how in the age of Disney-owned Star Wars, Jedi Fallen Order manages to capture that unique magic spark that made most pre-Disney Star Wars fell like, well, Star Wars.

Jedi Fallen Order's gameplay can be best described as being what you'd get if Star Wars, Dark Souls, and Uncharted had a baby; it combines the technical and methodical melee combat of the Souls games with the deep exploration aspect of the uncharted games and wraps them in Star Wars wrapping paper. In this game you will acquire a large amount of jedi skills and techniques to take down an impressive array of foes ranging from your run of the mill stormtroopers to giant boss enemies that practically fill the entire screen. You must carefully time your attacks, parries, and blocks in order to take down all enemies in this game, and failure to do so will likely result in a quick death. When you die in Jedi Fallen Order you are respawned back to a Jedi Meditation circle you last saved at, much like the bonfires in the Souls games. You must then find the enemy that defeated you to regain your experience you were carrying since the last time you used it to level up your the main character, Cal's abilities, again much like using your souls to level up in the Souls games. While making comparison to souls, it should be said that Jedi Fallen Order is a much more forgiving game than any of the From Software Souls games, which might be a good or bad thing depending on your experience with that franchise. As for the Uncharted gameplay elements, you will climb cliff sides, slide down sheets of ice, and wall jump to get to where you need to go throughout the game's various planets and settings. As you gradually learn more abilities via experience and in-game events that tie into the story, you will be able to return to previously unreachable sections of the game in order to collect new items, lightsaber upgrades, force echos, and several other cool collectibles that should satisfy any completionist. The final result of marrying these two gameplay elements together makes for an incredibly fun and addictive experience where you'll constantly want to find out what's on the other end of a massive canyon, or make you think twice about facing off against a particular deadly looking alien in order to explore a certain area.

While the gameplay is very enjoyable, the story and characters is where this game absolutely shines the brightest. Jedi Fallen Order takes place 5-years after the events of Revenge of the Sith where we play as Cal, a former Jedi apprentice who is now hiding out on a scrap planet where remnants of the Clone Wars are literally being broken down in order to fuel the expanding galactic empire. When Cal is exposed as being a former Jedi, he is thrust into a situation where he must find and protect information essential to future of the Jedi Order as him and his companions are chased across the galaxy by the empire and some Inquisitors that seek to get to this information before Cal. Each character in Jedi Fallen Order is very well written and voice acted, making many parts throughout the game very emotional and impactful in their own way. There are so many references to other pieces of Star Wars lore including the films and TV Shows that you will be constantly bombarded by fan service throughout your time with the game.

Visually the game looks gorgeous. The game perfectly captures the look and feel of Star Wars down to a T, with various levels looking downright stunning. Character and enemies look excellent and authentic as well to the Star Wars universe. Main character facial expressions are motion captured to really capture the essence of each respective voice actor that each character is visually based off of as well.

The audio in this game is great as well, borrowing a lot of the soundtrack from the movies, as well as adding some of its own tracks as well. While some of these original or remixed tracks aren't the greatest, all the music does a very good job at complementing everything that is occurring in the game around you. Voice acting is wonderfully delivered and sound effects will sound right at home in a Star Wars property.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is an experience that all Star Wars fans need to play. It's story, characters, and levels make this feel like some long forgotten Star Wars film on the same level as the better films in the franchise. This game is perhaps the best, most genuine Star Wars experience since Revenge of the Sith was released in 2005, which is saying a lot for an original story within the Star Wars universe. Whether you're a diehard Star Wars fan or a casual gamer, this game will satisfy you.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

Pleasantly surprised by this game, which is certainly doing a better job telling a Star Wars story than the horrible films are doing! Gameplay is reminiscent of uncharted which isn't, in my opinion a bad thing at all . My only gripe is the veery long load times, the save points (or lack thereof) and the Respawn mechanic, which is just frustrating and annoying. Otherwise very good so far.

As someone with limited time to play games, the shame of Fallen Order stems from multiple frustrations. It’s hard to fight and, worse, it’s hard to move. The game’s timing issues distracted me from both the story and the beautifully constructed worlds; I was too focused on simply staying alive. My many (many, many, many) deaths discouraged me from exploring worlds — all of them beautiful — as did the simple fact that traveling by foot (even a Jedi’s Force-enhanced feet) takes forever.
