Jun 23, 2020Giving it a 7 as it has a lot of bugs, thankfully the makers say they are working on patches now. Need to work on frame rate big time. But the game over all is mindless fun. The kind we need in this world climate right now. Liked it more than The Last Of Us 2.

Jun 25, 2020As someone who played the original over 50 times, this is a serviceable remaster. Now despite playing the original so much I never thought it was a perfect game. I always have just seen it as above average but featuring my favorite western cartoon. Now if you were a fan of the original I would recommend picking it up at $30 usd but if you are just a platformer fan I would wait for a sale.

Jun 23, 2020Kind of silly, but it’s a nice game for kids. Game controls were good, and the story flowed nicely. If you have younger children I would recommend this for them.

Jun 23, 2020This game is alright.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.
Bots seem to love it though. -

Jun 24, 2020While nostalgia for this game seems pretty nice it feels like it still doesn't hold up to the original. It feels cool at first but at the end all it does is make me want to play the original.

Mar 25, 2021Worse Remake Evarrrr... Worst platformer Controls/physics engine... Broken, buggy, sound design, and visual design is *ABSOLUTELY* not faithful to the Original...
And it's lost... ALL IT'S *ORIGINAL* charm...
A FAILURE*... of a Remake. -

Apr 25, 2022As a sucker for PS2 era collectathon platformers Battle for Bikini Bottom is right down my alley. It's perfect if you just want to turn your brain off and enjoy the brutally saturated environments and childish plot for a few hours.
There really isn't anything special about it but it manages to do just about everything well enough for it to be a fun experience. -

Apr 16, 2022Nice game but with a little boring story. Apart from the problems overall its a very enjoyable and small game. Spongebob is the GOAT of cartoons
-
Aug 30, 2022Средний геймплей и платформинг, с камерой проблемы в некоторых сценах. Хорошая музыка и красивые локации, разочек пройти можно, но не более.

Jun 24, 2020Mr. Krabs’s voice acting is terrible. Every time he speaks I don’t feel like I’m in Spongebob world anymore.
Otherwise the game is great and brings back good memories. -
Jun 24, 2020This is one of, if not the best Spongebob games you can buy. Hopefully more people see that and get it to play.
-
Jun 25, 2020i think Yoshi and Kirby are the better games but still worth a rental, try it!

Feb 4, 2021The story 3/10, gameplay 9/10, soundtrack 8/10, characters 9/10, world 7/10, atmosphere 5/10.
A good remastered/remake. I played it 100% and I had fun. But I have to say it is only a 5/10.

Aug 6, 2020What stands out to me the most though? The considered thought of the level design.

Playstation Official Magazine UKJul 30, 2020Although the gameplay and character models feel refreshed (Patrick’s limbs are delightfully floppy), the level design pales when compared to newer 3D platformers. Fully remade,2 including a remastered soundtrack, Battle For Bikini Bottom proves to be fun on a technical level, but the barren worlds, many NPCs you cannot interact with, and vexing objectives (the rolling ball in Mermaid Man’s lair, anybody?) make it fun and frustrating in equal measure. Fans won’t want to leave this one at the bottom of the sea. [Issue#178, p.82]

Jul 13, 2020Lots of charm and lots of content, still worth the investment if you’re a nostalgic soul, looking for a fresh dose of bikini bottom action. Some aspects - the amount of texture pop-in, to name one - undeniably feel a bit dated, though.
