    Honestly, this game is a 7/10 but I'm giving it a 10 just to annoy the Colors fans who think their game is sooo much better when they share many of the same flaws

    Sonic forces is a very mixed title but there is a catch this is my opinion and in my opinion sonic forces is a good game

    PROS:the modern sonic game play is very engaging and fun to play and hit enemies the avatar is like sonic but feels better and has no boost the wispons are very fun to use and the avatars grapple mechanic is very fun to use oh and the sound track CONS:classic    Sonic forces is a very mixed title but there is a catch this is my opinion and in my opinion sonic forces is a good game

    Bom, até que é um jogo bom, eu me diverti com ele, mas ele não é perfeito, nem o melhor jogo do Sonic, é um jogo fácil, não me deparei com nenhum bug, a história é rasa, mas da para passar uma belas horas com ele, principalmente se você o platinar.

    Sonic forces is amazing start if you new to the Sonic franchise, I Have nothing bad say about the gameplay except with retro Sonic he just never really feel good to use and always horror to play but he's maybe 20% of the game so is not that bad, soundtrack is amazing and it may be the biggest reason to why i enjoyed it so much ,

    A great game not perfect has some bad points and some good points but the good points are amazing. This game has some of the best levels an amazing soundtrack and beautiful graphics this game does not deserve the hate it is an underrated masterpiece.
    Avatar has good controls, levels are great awesome music at worst good level design the wispons add a lot to the levels and exploration.     Modern Sonic levels control well some straightforward level design but some good open design and good music
    Classic sonic doesn't control the best but the levels work around it he also has the least amount of levels. Okay music I like the techno-sounding music with the synths level design is okay to good.
    The art style is amazing I really like the destroyed art style and the Eggman themed stuff with gray, white, black, and purple looks beautiful    … Expand

    That's a great game of Sonic. The Avatar stage works well and has a nice story. But is not so good like Unleashed, but still a great game.

    Sonic Forces is a incredible game with beautiful graphics and a incredible Story the Classic Sonic playability is not bad but the speed of Classic Sonic now its slow but good to finish Sonic Forces is a magnificent game both for fans of the Blue Hedgehog of SEGA and for those who are not

    Really good game it got oerhated due to not being what it should've been or followed what Generations did but it's still a very fun game and it does have it's issues but doesn't hide it's not bad.if you really want to improve the experience go play it with improvement mods.

    Ich find das Spiel gut! Ich mag die Modern Sonic Level und der neue Avatar ist auch richtig cool! Das designen macht mir richtig viel spaß und die Level mit ihm sind auch cool. Die Classic Sonic Level mag ich auch aber weniger als die anderen. Sonst ist die Story leider zu kurz geraten. Man hätt da noch viel mehr draus machen können. Aber dennoch find ich das Spiel nice!!

The game only took 1 year to make and that makes sense cuz i think the sonic fans wanted a long and more lower action sonic game instead of an dramatic game that you can finish in 3 hours.     I loved playing this game with my son .. I used to play the original games as a kid on my master system and mega drive .. and this felt like an evolution of the same game .. I couldn’t be happier !

Every level is something different, with multiple characters to play in fast paced action that offers something different to play every couple minutes.     In short, the history is generic and sometimes you will get some bugs but I rly enjoy It. Epic music + speed make rly increadible some moments. My expectations were rly low and I m not a fan. Just play this as a chill game. No good histroy but satisfactoey kinestetic. I recomended but dont spect a Sonic adventures or Skydriver

The character creation is a really well developed part of the game, including specific character traits and a seemingly endless array of unlockable outfits and weapons. The weapons were a bit strange, but it added a unique dynamic to the character stages. First of all, the high speed sections may seem a bit automatic at times but overall it creates a good sense of spectacle, which is one of the game main focuses.     honestly i was pretty hype for this game when it was released but when i sat down and played the game i beat it the exact day i brought it but even though this game is bland and short it does have great a great story great graphics and an awesome soundtrack

    Sonic forces is a great game I love it, how the levels are and the bosses, I don't care what the haters think about it it's awesome and you can create your very own character and team up with sonic and his friends, even though the custom character doesn't talk, but I don't even care if does or doesn't talk love it and I give it a 10/10 rating, keep running sonic.

    Sonic Forces is one of the best games I've ever played. It's a step forward in everything. It has great graphics, nice story, Classic Sonic is back, it has car physics, and has nice gameplay and voice acting. Roger Craig Smith has never done a better acting on Sonic before. It deserves the love it gets from everyone.

    I dont see where all the hate is coming from. This game is absolutely amazing and it definitely deserves more credit. This game is as good as say sonic colours and it was very fun and Interesting to play. I am not a sonic fan and this game is great. It also has an AMAZING soundtrack.

    i literally had all sonic games before sonic adventure 2 . But now i have this game... I really did enjoy it.

    I havnt bought a sonic game since sonic adventure so its been a while. I think its a very good sonic game and i was pleased overall. My only gripe is its a little short overall and the stages in general.

    Sonic Forces this game is not only amazing, it's by far the best sonic game I've played so far I love it, it has a good story, good graphics, stunning gameplay, and it lets you be your own person this game definitely passed by my standards.

The real treat here is that one can create their own original character to fight alongside the blue blur and his pals. For the first time ever one can truly be a part of the Sonic universe.

    The character creation system is a wonderful new system and hopefully one of the series new staples. You can choose which animal you want to be, each of which has their own special abilities, and there are a wealth of cosmetic option available to you by beating stages and completing optional side-objectives. You can even pick your own weapon powers. You get to play as your custom character at regular points throughout the game as a key player in the story. The other levels are broken up by sections where you play as either modern or classic Sonic.

    Graphically, the game is stunning. It's vibrant, bright, and oh so colorful. Really a treat for the eyes. The voice acting is good, but some of the actors feel like an odd pairing with their characters as their voice work is much too serious for the appearance we see onscreen. The story itself is fine and introduces us to a new villain, but much like the infamous Sonic '06, it's incredibly awkward and even a little uncomfortable when it tries to be serious. It's hard as heck to not be thrown off when a talking, bright, red echidna to talk about another character getting tortured. Especially when a chili dog joke follows just minutes after. It's just odd to see some dark stuff happening in this kind of game.

    The 3D entries in the Sonic series have always had a rough go of things. However, things have been turning around ever since the release of Colors. That trend continues here. This is some of Sonic's finest 3D gameplay yet and the best controls I've experienced in the series thus far. There are still those bullcrap moments that have plagued the 3D Sonic games since '06, such as careening offscreen to your death for seemingly no reason and a ridiculous and cheap final boss battle, but those are much more rare than in previous games. The level design is pretty great with branching paths and those hidden red rings. Whatever style of gameplay one could want from a Sonic game, it's in forces. 2D levels, 3D levels, platforming, and my oh my is there speed. It's got just about the perfect balance of all three. There's also a healthy amount of content and quite a bit of replay value.

    Simply put, Forces is a real treat and one heck of a platformer. It shows Sonic Teams' desire to move away from the mistakes of their past. They also once again say thanks to the fanbase by allowing them to create their those original characters they dreamed up in their heads and bring them to life onscreen. After all, what super-fan hasn't wanted to ball around with Sonic? Forces continues the series uphill climb and may even win over some new supporters. It could even pull back in some of the former ones. Whatever the case, I can say that I was largely pleased with it.    … Expand

    Sonic forces is a great game with amazing graphics, great music, good story but the story was pretty rushed, fun gameplay and fun avatar creation but game was too short with short stages and the is very easy [even on hard mode].
    Overall sonic forces it's a fun game and i recommend it for everyone.

Besides the Classic ones. Next, the Avatar. The Avatar is like a modern Sonic with worse controls, a worse jump, and lower speeds with no boost. Yet still somehow enjoyable. Guess it has some charm to it as you get to play as your own character. The level design for the Avatar is better than the Modern Sonic stages. but still short and pretty linear. The amount of customization for the Avatar is very impressive and fun to mess around with. Last and very much least, Classic Sonic. To put it shortly: he'es meh. His controls are better and worse than generations for different reasons. But the dropdash is cool, I guess. I would give the gameplay a 6.5/10

    Next: the story. It's great! Finally an actual story that isn't just a bunch of crappy "jokes" and cringe. My one complaint is the way Tails is portrayed. He's a **** **** Oh and Infinite's backstory was WEAK. So I would give the story a 8/10

    Finally, the music. Hit or miss! I personally liked most of the soundtrack and loved a select few of the songs, and FINALLY LYRICS AGAIN in a sonic game! Missed them. But I also miss Crush 40. I really love the theme Fist Bump! It reminds me of Sonic Heroes. But still, it's subjective. I would give the music a 9/10.

    Final Score: 7.5/10 (rounded to 8). The game is good, but nothing special. Feels like a test for future games more than a full on game.    … Expand

Sure there are a lot of "on rails" sections, and some of the game has moments where it plays itself, but Sonic has been style over substance anyway. Stop with all of the harshness, and enjoy the game for what it is, a dumb, campy, cartoony action game. If you go in with no expectations or preconceptions, you will more than likely enjoy this game. I have easliy put in over 20 hours trying to collect everything, and all of these issues that people are having are not as common as you'd think. There have only been a handful of times where the controls derped out on me, and one or two clipping issues where I fell through the edge of a platform for whatever reason. The game is being patched, and Sega seems to be putting this one in the limelight, with free DLC (new episode with 3 stages that give some backstory to characters, and cosmetic stuff, including SANIC shirts. SEGA EMBRACED THE MEME!!!), and possible more that will add more to this new world of Sonic.It's only 30-40 dollars, not a full priced triple-A title. there are other games that are asking more for much less content. ($30 for a VR fishing game in FF 15.... seriously?) I can't force anyone to play this, but know that it is NOT as bad as people say.     This game is much better than Sonic Generations! It takes a new approach via the custom character, and it is done very well. I loved replaying the stages in the game, especially the avatar stages, so that I could experiment with animal and wispon combinations to complete the level in the fastest amount of time.     Bosses, some are very easy and some can be rather difficult which i do like as it does add a good balance. There is also a fair amount of variety in them however some, they are very similar.

    I do like how they combine the 2D levels and the 3D levels, the transition between the two can be confusing at first but you do get used to it rather quickly.

    Over all the game is pretty fun and I enjoyed it. There are a few flaws but they do not out-weight the positives. Music is great, story is good, level design is fairly decent with some flaws and the visuals are really good.    … Expand

    The sonic force game isn't bad at all the game's soundtrack is very awesome, and the ending was spectacular! The best part of the game is when get to have an O.C in the game and the game's graphics are the best I've seen this year! Special thanks to SEGA for making this game.

    Forget Mania, this is the Sonic game of the year. Pumping soundtrack, engaging characters and story, levels, while being basic in platform design, look spectacular and bring life to the stages and world of Sonic. Watching game play videos of the game doesn't do it justice. Give it a go and I can guarantee you will get some enjoyment out of it.

    I really did enjoyed the game to the beginning to the end but something didn't seems right playing that is mostly the controls for the custom character it seems off a little but still it's really is a decent game! Also infinite is 2 edgy

    this game is so fun, i love it so much, the music is so amazing, the gameplay is so amazing my favorite are modern sonic and the custom hero i love how they give so many options, i also love the level design even though they are short theu are still really fun and there are so many alternate pathways. So overall this game is short but its so much fun.

To comply with the trend of the times, Sonic Forces reduces the difficulty, hoping to use this strategy will attract new players who have never tried this kind of game. Unfortunately, the length is not sufficient enough to satisfy players, and too much repetitive content makes this game boring.

    The efforts for modern concept of the legend came out of the way. Sonic Forces has obvious problems with the transition between two perspectives as well with the movement and speed. Only customization possibilities and several new weapons saves it from the average.
