Ultimately, the best way to look at Saints Row The Third Remastered is as the best version of a 2011 video game. There are things that haven't held up, certainly, and some visual elements are definitely outdated. But for all its warts, both in the ideological and technical sense, The Third represents a better era for gaming. An era before the line between games-as-a-service and single-player experiences were blurred. An era before Ubisoft singlehandedly made open-world games less interesting. An era before Borderlands would set the standard for video game comedy with its egregious blend of yelling humor and memes.

Saints Row is unrealistic in the best way possible, and what it lacks in substance it makes up for in outrageous antics and a priceless, middle-school sense of humor. It’s an absolute riot, and it never seems to draw its boundaries. Steelport is an adult playground for blood, gore and sex, and there’s no consequence for the violence and chaos you can induce. Almost everything about the remaster is fantastic, from the catchy soundtrack to the buttery smooth combat. It’s not a game you’d want your children to play by any means, but for everyone else of appropriate age and discretion, it’s a wicked good time.

The remaster is visually and technically convincing ans also offers the complete Saints Row experience including all of the additional content.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered is one of the most entertaining open-world games ever made. It may be cliche to say, but you will be having hours of fun on end with this sizable package. To top it all off, the new visuals are comparable to an old statue being restored to newfound magnificence. The lighting and new textures will genuinely impress you, and the chaotic gang warfare is a blast, whether in co-op or alone. Overall, this is an urban escape worth experiencing, both for the first time and all over again.

A "remaster" like Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy: the original content remains intact (gameplay, missions... even the flaws), and renew it all with a superb face wash, that show its best side with the light effects, reflections, models... A nice update of one great adventure that keeps giving fun like 10 years ago.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered, continues to entertain us as much as it did a decade ago. A title that is far from being monotonous and boring. On the other hand, the game maintains its essence and arguments intact with graphic and visual touches according to the time.

While it’s by no means a bad game, Saints Row: The Third Remastered may be just a bit too dated for newcomers to fully enjoy.

Saints Row The Third finally comes to current-gen platforms with the best version ever of the game. Not only resolution is higher, but there is support for unlocked frame-rate and HDR, and nearly every aspect of the graphics has been upgraded or reworked from scratch. If you missed this game before, this is your best chance to play it.

Despite a few issues with a lack of upgrades in some areas, Saint’s Row The Third Remastered is a great way to dip your shoes back into the franchise and remember why Saint’s Row 3 helped the series find an identity, allowing it to go on to do bigger and better things in Saint’s Row IV.

A stunning remaster of an incredibly entertaining game, Saints Row: The Third Remastered more than justifies its existence in a world dominated by Grand Theft Auto V.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered is from another time. In a time where most games are super serious and epic, it's sort of refreshing. During my playthrough, I was often amazed by the variation in gameplay. If you've played the original a lot, there's not a lot to experience here except better graphics. But for a lot of fun in an open world game, this visit to Steelport still comes recommended.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered is a self-aware, bombastic crime romp through a playground of a city that the player can wreak havoc in. The Third Street Saints are ridiculous, the missions are stupid, and the game looks better than ever. While this is unlikely to be anyone's favorite title, it's an unforgettably dumb and enjoyable adventure all the same.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered brings the classic three-quel back warts and all, and that’s ok. Even if some elements haven’t aged gracefully, the majority of the experience still retains the chaotic fun of the original and provides an experience most anyone out for some mindless fun could find hours of enjoyment in.

The combat and driving are solid, the customization options are engaging, and the missions are wild. Volition did a fantastic job with the original version and Sperasoft has done good work updating the game but has also introduced several issues and missed some opportunities to improve the game. If you haven’t played a Saints Row game before, The Third is the best place to start. And if you’re a fan of the series, it’s just as good as you remember.

Just as ridiculous and fun as you remember, and the new coat of paint and modern upgrades make it an adventure that you'll want to take on even if you've already experienced it before. Fans who missed out on the original also owe it to themselves to see what all the fuss was about, because if they do they will find quite a lot to love. It's not perfect mind you, but honestly, you'll be having too much fun to really care about its flaws.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered is the definitive way to play the best game in the Saints Row series. Running through the streets of Steeport has never looked better, but the game still manages to show its age in some areas. Regardless, the enhanced graphics, hilarious story, and timeless gameplay make this remaster worth checking out for long time fans or those who have never touched a Saints Row game in their life.

It’s still the same old crude, ridiculous, and daft Saints Row The Third as it ever was, complete with many of its original mechanical shortcomings, but the remaster does a wonderful job of making it look better than ever.

This remastered is actually closer to a proper remake, with completely overhauled graphics. The game still is as crazy as it was, and if you miss that classic Saints Row action, it’s the best way to rediscover it.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered faces the market as the umpteenth well-built remake, in these last few months, upgrading in a sufficient way all the technical aspects of the original title. Irreverent, reckless, armed with good intentions, the game could be easily recommended, even just for a taste of insanity madness in full swing.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered is the full SR:TT experience, remastered for the actual consoles. There's a lot to do and is fun but the weight of the years is felt.

Seeing my custom character discuss very serious plans while wearing samurai armor and an angry tiger mask is the best comedic relief any game has offered me in the past ten years, and replaying it brought me back to a time in middle school when I wanted nothing but open-world. It’s also the perfect starting point for those new to the series, and any game that lets me dress up as a hot dog while flying on a motorized broomstick deserves a glowing recommendation.

Saints Row: The Third - Remastered is about the minimum you can expect from a remaster. It looks better, contains all of the DLC, and it does what it needs to do. However, you can't escape the fact that Saints Row 4: Re-Elected, which is already available, hits almost all of the same marks while being a more enjoyable game with almost all of the same features and significantly better humor. If you enjoyed the original Saints Row: The Third, then this is a good way to revisit it, but for newcomers, there are better entries in the series to try.

If you've never played Saints Row: The Third then this is the case. The absences and most of the shortcomings of the original title remain and today they can't be justified.

Saints Row the Third is back with a, frankly, quite good remastered version of the original game from 2011.

Saints Row The Third Remastered offers the same as its original game but with a new virtual paint job. This, however, does not mask the problems the original game had, which is definitely a shame and holds back the game in multiple ways. Where the game is not held back is in the department of fun and humour, as is known from the Saints Row franchise. The game truly comes to its right as a co-op game but is still enjoyable as singleplayer.

The value of Saints Row: The Third Remastered will wholly depend on either a heady reverence for the original game/series or a penchant for emphatically stupid antics bolstered by puerile humour. There's no denying that the visual overhaul is thoroughly impressive, but little else has been done to make the game feel like anything other than a throwback to the year that put both Pitbull and LMFAO in the Top 10.

However, several things that did get changed are a mess. Characters have botched lipsync, character creation is bugged, lighting in the cutscenes is terrible on female characters, generally all female character models are a dumpster fire, with 1996's Lara Croft boobs, hair look like brooms, earrings aren't positioned right and many more.
