Saint Seiya fans, please calm down, i know the emotion of see all this characters and the gameplay is enjoyable.

But this game lacks depth, the characters play all the same way and the lipsing is awfull, in addition the way the story is told is rather boring, the difficulty also leaves much to desire...

Saint Seiya Soldier's Soul is a game that encapsulates everything that was Saint Seiya, with all the bad that comes with it. On the one hand, kudos to the developers for the effort on the presentation (Including the original voices in multiples languages with Latin American Spanish in it) as the game looks and sounds remarkably like the series. The gameplay is tried and true, and easy to comprehend, but a little stale and repetitive, because most of the characters feel the same and it can be easy to be cheap in the game. The game modes are at least the basic ones for a figthing game, and has enough on it of extras to fully satisfy harcore fans. But it does have a lot of problems that annoy more than help, like an ample collection of extras (costumes, stages, sounds, supports for play, etc.) but that you have to grind play to get them even beyong playing a little while, and a lot of those unlockables apart from a nice animation here or there are not that interesting or feel rewarding enough. All in all, it is a nice game if you are a really big fan of the show, and an ok fighting game in general, but sad to say, this game never awoke the seveth sense. Expand

Saint Seiya: Soldier's Soul is about as close as a licenced anime game will get to a fighting game. It plays like a dumbed down Tekken mixed with one of the 3D Mortal Kombat games. You can spend part of a special bar to get out of combos, but it's easy to bait out and put them right back in a combo. The story mode is just a rehash of what we all have seen in the anime/manga series. The game is so much of a mess with it's infinite combos and primitive combat options that it manages to be kind of fun and bring a smile to my face . Expand

It is a fun game to spend time with your friends, it has many combo, so far I have not played the story mode because they say it is the same as the series (which I have not finished yet), so that does not seem very much to me Well, I would have liked them to innovate more in the story, which also happens in the gameplay, since it has very few things that make it unique, but if you areIt is a fun game to spend time with your friends, it has many combo, so far I have not played the story mode because they say it is the same as the series (which I have not finished yet), so that does not seem very much to me Well, I would have liked them to innovate more in the story, which also happens in the gameplay, since it has very few things that make it unique, but if you are going to play with your friends and you like the series, it will be a fun experience Expand

Saint Seiya Soldier’s Soul is a quaint fighting game that has its small playability value robbed by a unique fatal flaw in the restart option that drags the action and frustrates the player.

Fans of the series will probably get a kick out of the use of the source material but it's hard to recommend this game to anyone but said fans of the source material. For everyone else, it's repetitive and probably isn't at the level of depth that most fighting games offer these days.

Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul is a title that fans of the franchise will enjoy a lot, but unless this is a series you know, or one that you have have been thinking of checking out, you may just be better reading the serializations instead.
