    This is what video games are supposed to be. Fun, creative and simple yet ridiculous. The only complaints i have are that there is no drifting, no split screen and the AI is bad with own-goals. The gameplay is something that is very reminiscent of the first 2 twisted metal games back on ps1. No wonder sweet tooth makes a cameo.

    For me Rocket League is the best surprise of 2015! It's one of those games you will play thinking ''meh must be good to spend some time'' but it's much more! The game is very good, fun and addictive, and the only thing that matters in the gameplay is your own skill

    This game is just pure genuine fun! I honestly think that this game will have a future within the top ranks of Twitch, as it has a lot of stream potential. Not to mention this game is currently FREE for PS Plus users... and well, you need PS Plus to play it so, technically, it's free for anyone who can play it (on Playstation anyways.)     If you have PlayStation Plus, this game is a no-brainer, as it's free right now. For everyone else, it's not a must-buy at its $22 asking price (least on Steam).

    The game itself controls relatively well, though with a few bits here and there that break the intense gameplay. The ball spends way too much time hanging in the air, especially when flying up the walls and corners. It also    If you have PlayStation Plus, this game is a no-brainer, as it's free right now. It also doesn't help that the "Ball Cam" is not exactly the most reliable angle to get you into the right position when the ball is high in the air.

    The AI in the game can be pretty brutal at times for those playing offline. Your teammates will often get in your way, they love to hit the ball to the side when you had a straight shot at the goal. They are coin-tosses to how well they play, one minute they make a spectacular save or shot to score a goal, the next they take the ball for the opposing side and direct it all the way into their own net. Would suggest playing on Rookie only when first learning the game, after 2-3 games switch to Pro as you can score way too easily off the center line.

    I can't say much for online just yet, the servers have not been working for me since I got the game today, which is a downer for a game that clearly has potential to have some staying power, perhaps even a small amount of players to create some sort of an e-sports scene. It does have the right mixture of video gaming wrapped in a sports bubble, it can definitely attract attention beyond the typical e-sports crowd that would normally watch Starcraft or LoL/DOTA.

    At this point in time, unless you can get it free off of PS Plus, I'd wait for the game to drop in price a little bit, I can't say I would happily pay $20 for this given its current state. But if you're really interested in a soccer game played with cars instead of human players, this is a very solid effort at creating just that.    … Expand

    Can't believe how great this is. Can't believe it's only 20 bucks (let alone free for ps plus!) This game puts any wii u party game to shame, as the usually cost 60 bucks with less content - looking at you Splatoon. Lots of modes, lots of customization to unlock - without having to pay extra. This is what gaming is all about.

    Prepare yourself for a new addiction! You know that feeling of 'just one last round' only to realize it's already 2 am, well this game does that for you and then some. The more you play, the better you get and that's what gaming is all about. Now if you'll excuse me, I have one last round to play.

    A couple years ago, a friend of mine invited me to his place to play what he would call 'Football with Little Cars' ( yes, here in Brazil the word football is used correctly). Well, it didn't take long for me to notice I was already in love with that game, after 5 matches or so.

    That game was Supersonic-Rocket-Powered-Acrobatic-Battle-Cars, the prequel to this game, after a few months,    A couple years ago, a friend of mine invited me to his place to play what he would call 'Football with Little Cars' ( yes, here in Brazil the word football is used correctly). Well, it didn't take long for me to notice I was already in love with that game, after 5 matches or so.

    That game was Supersonic-Rocket-Powered-Acrobatic-Battle-Cars, the prequel to this game, after a few months, rumors emerged about a possible SRPABC 2, and since then, the hype within me only grew.

    Well, time has come to play the final version of the so-expected game, and I must say, I am not disappointed (and neither should be any fan of the previous title). This is just as fun as video games can get, and one of the best games to play along your fellas in the couch!

    What are you waiting for? It is just $20 on steam/ps4, and if you are a PS Plus user, you get it for free! Stop reading reviews here and go grab it!    … Expand

    Super addictive and super accessible to new players. The physics based controlling of cars to perform acrobatic stunts in an attempt to out maneuver the opponent and score makes this game super fun to play.

    This game is all about FUN. In my opinion, console gaming is about having fun playing a game with some friends on a couch. This game is exactly that ! It's so addictive and fun to play, the online and the offline !! A must try for everyone !

    Best multiplayer in new gen hands down. This thing is exactly how every skill based multiplayer shhould be, very simple, deep, fast and cool (and no leveling or pay per win bulls*t". 10/10 and GOTY contender.

    The additional stuff, cars to unlock and 'hats' for cars etc to customise your beast, is all standard but well done all the same, it doesn't feel it's as important as playing the game - and online - it's awesome. 3 vs 3 is a real treat, as while 1 vs 1 is a standard skills test of who is better, playing 3 on 3 gives really good options for tactics - some of which will really aggravate your opposition!

    A brilliant fun game and the first PS+ indie title in a while imo to really cut the mustard. Get for free then find me online for a head to head :)    … Expand

    Very nice game, I hope they will make more itens and customizations.
    The only problem at PS4 is the anti aliasing. The graphics and gameplay are good, the game need a good time playing to the player become a master.

    Genuinely the most fun I've had in a long long time. The gameplay is simple but fantastic, it's a very well executed game that has already delivered hours of enjoyment, and it'll only get better as more people join the online community.

    If I don't use 10 now, I won't ever use it. The most fun I've had playing with friends in the last two generations of console. It's simple to get into and understand, but the sky is the limit with how good you can get.
    It's one of those games where you end up checking the clock to see if you can have one more game before you need to go to bed because you have work in the morning.

    The most addictive and entertaining game you will play on a ps4. The games are the perfect length and the action is engaging. Easy game to learn but difficult to master - welcoming to beginners but always room to improve your game. Hands down the most all around FUN game available for the console. The bots are more intelligent and challenging than the previous title.

    I've beta'd this game....hands down the most fun I've had with either cars or soccer. Great fun either online or just with friends. It's simple, but can also be complicated trying to make certain goals....best part is if you have ps+ ....it's free!

    This games is amazing. Rockets, customization and football (Soccer for you Americans!). There is nothing bad i can say about this game! Best part is that i can play with my friends on the ps4, as i am playing on the pc!!! Also if you have a ps4 its free, whats not to love!

    At a glance, the game seems completely bland in concept. An indie soccer game with cars? I thought nothing of it, but signed up for the beta anyways. After playing, I couldn't get enough. The game is one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. It's easy to understand the basics, but will take a lot of time to get genuinely good at the game. Little details from other generations mixed with new technologies hardly made in AAA games of this time. 4 players splitscreen? Mixed fun 1v3, 2v2, 4v4 online, whatever you want..     Devs have been great. Especially with the Free PS+ release which was totally unexpected and the beta showed that they were listening to the fans.

    The local co op with online mode is perfect and works without issue. Seamless intense gameplay and stats is exactly how I expected it to be. 10/10.

    Really fun game must get it while it's free more fun than playing FIFA which I'm not really good at it but still amazing game also there's seasons which are just plain fun whether you're playing with friend or playing by yourself

    Wow. I played Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars on the ps3, and it was the hidden gem. So glad they made a sequel that is much more popular! The game is one of the most addictive games I have ever played.

You have a stadium. You have a battle-car. You have a ball. You have simple controls. Does that mean the game is simple? Yes! Does that mean the game is easy, boring or that it sucks? No, definitely not!

    General Features: Rocket League features several modes, as example an online mode at which you can play ranked and unranked games, varying between 1 vs. 1, 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3 and 4 vs. 4. Of course, you can also play with your friends at home via. local co-op because it's one of the games which has a splitscreen mechanism for up to 4 players - true old-school gaming! It also features several offline modes, such as exhibition matches against bots or season mode against bots. And of course, it also features a tutorial and a training mode which both are well made.

    Gameplay: Rocket League is incredibly balanced. Ever battle-car has the same speed, the same maneuverability and the same jump height. The only thing which is slightly different between the battle-cars is the hitbox, but you probably won't notice that the hitbox is different at all. The general gameplay is very fast, very fun and very addictive. The controls are simple, but mastering the cars and the battle-car is difficult. The bots are playing surprisingly good, there's a high possibility that you will lose your first games against the bots.

    Customization possibilities: Players are able to customize their battle-car by unlocking items which are gained by completing an online or offline match. This includes changing the body, decal (skin), paint, wheels, rocket trail, topper (hat) and antenna of the battle-car. In total, there are more than 150 customization items unlockable, which means that there are millions of different customizations possible

    My conclusion: Rocket League is incredibly fun. Rocket League is incredibly addictive. Rocket League is incredibly competitive. If I would have to compare the gameplay to another game, I would only be able to choose Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, which is the prequel to Rocket League, made by the same developer. I strongly recommend to buy this game even if you don't like sports games as Rocket League feels way different compared to FIFA or PES. In my opinion Rocket League is definitely worth the money.    … Expand

    It starts with a very simple premise. Drive your car forward and knock this round, rolling object into the goal. Now try it with someone blocking you. It quickly escalates from there until you are Larry Bird and Michael Jordan filming a "Nothing But Net" commercial. Rocket League is in a genre of its own, it's a brand new sport just waiting to be created. The ESPORT scene would love this game, and it could get viewership ratings along the likes of League and CS:GO.

    Rocket League is a beautiful game with lots of polish and tons to do. It has tutorial or training modes that challenge even the apt of thumbs. There is a single player season mode and exhibition matches with games ranging from 1v1 to 4v4. For the masochists like myself, they even included a 3v1 or 4v1 Unfair mode. However, in multiplayer is where this game really shines. As you play online, you unlock more and more customization options, including vehicles, toppers (hats), engines, paint, etc. All modes and aesthetics aside, the game play and replay value is what really makes this a stellar, must play game.

    The maneuverability of the cars will take a long time to master. The amount of things you can do might seem underwhelming at first, with boost and dodging being the first learned. The handbrake button can turn your car almost in a 180 when tapped, or can allow your car to drift, Tokyo style, when held. Combining those two with the boost and dodge will allow your car to maintain supersonic (max) speed throughout the game. Last but not least, the boost can be used as a jetpack, that can allow the most skilled pilots from Rocket League Academy to shoot and score from all areas of the map, even the ceiling.

    I could rattle on forever about the game, but I think you understand my views and I'm going to go satisfy that Rocket League itch I'm feeling just from writing this little review. 10/10, Must Play.    … Expand

    It's a blast to play and it only gets better as skills improve over time and as the competition ramps up. It's a game that everyone, whether they’re big into sports video games or just can’t seem to get into them, will really enjoy.

    I have no problem saying that this is the best and most original sports game I have played since at least FIFA 12. It mixes all the best elements of sports and online multiplayer games into one in an affordable and seamless experience that looks awesome in YouTube videos as well.
