    one of the greatest action games out there, from game play to graphics to sound quality everything is AAA about this, as of now 2023, this is the best Tomb Raider game Ever.... it's a 10 for me

    Was really surprised with this game! I have never played a Tomb Raider game prior to this one, as they never really seemed to interested me. But once I got to playing this game I was really hooked upon the first couple of days of playing. The setting and gameplay are amazing!     What a great sequel to another great game. This game has a beautiful setting, a pretty simple story, yet absolutely enough for what it is and does not need any more answers - except for the obvious question of what happens next in Lara's life and one, two major question that come with the end that surely is answered in the next game, but overall for the normal storyline it is fine as itWhat a great sequel to another great game.     The game plays very nicely, though I have the feeling the controls are a little bit less working than in the first game, the atmosphere the game has is just wonderful and Lara is simply "one kickass woman who rocks entirely". I was a bit worried at first that the most obvious natural setting would be shown almost all the time - the snowy one - but I was really glad when I noticed it was a mix. Great snow areas, sunny forest and lake area, a few ruins here and there, definitely superb.
    However, it was a bit underwhelming that certain parts just reminded too much of moments that happened in the first game. I do not mind that much in general but this feeling definitely does not need to be this strong for part 3. Also a few battles were a bit frustrating when compared to the others but I can live with that.

    All in all a great and recommendable game that was worth for me to wait 3-4 years.    … Expand

    Actually a 9.5 because i dont think its a perfect game. It did everything the franchise always did but made it all better, Lara Croft always beautiful and great and the story is very engaging. Graphics, gameplay and music are all around great.

    This game is a HUGE improvement compared to the 2013 one specially the graphics it was a huge improvement and the history is more rich and interesting that the first one.

    Just as 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider', it is a very comprehensive game, with a large map to explore, variety of side missions, weapons to upgrade and an interesting storyline.

    Great graphics and gameplay; difficult to fault the game. For the fans of Uncharted, this is a must!

    This game is one of my top 3 favorite games of all time and Lara Croft is my favorite gaming character of all time. This game is truly a masterpiece in every way.     Incredibly well-written story and equally good gameplay. The gameplay is so awesome that you feel more like you're watching a movie than playing a game.

    The graphics of the game are very nice. Especially the environment of Siberia is very well done. I would especially pick up Gulag. The characters are likable and believable.     Best from the trilogy. An absolute classic! I dont know how much i have replayed this one. We love SP games and the game industry should do more of these and stay away from the "game as a service" idea - because NO. Glad that the franchise is not in square enix's hands - i was worried for the future of this LEGENDARY reboot but the fourth is comming and i cant wait.

    i enjoyed this. gameplay was awesome but sometimes the story was poorly written. loved the little objects you had chance to find and lara's comments to them. lara is one of my favourite female characters tho.

The game has enough cut-scenes to tell the story, and the transition between cut-scenes to game play is smooth and keeps the player immersed. There are also plenty of skills and equipment, including skins for various attires that are readily available and a few can be unlocked from game play. Controls are responsive but take a bit of time to get used to. AI in the game is pretty good and challenging, enemies coordinate to flank, throw grenades or rush to melee. Exploration and puzzles provide a nice change of pace from the intense fire fights, puzzles are challenging enough that you don't need to look at a guide.

    Downside, the micro-transactions for "virtual card collectibles" that thankfully do not impact the game play. Console game publishers and devs need to stop and leave the micro-transactions for the "pay-to-play" mobile games and MMOs.

    Overall, playing Rise of the Tomb Raider is a fun and immersive experience. Its like watching a movie and playing a game at the same time. The game is worth playing and at current sale prices (bought mine $15 brand new), its a must have game for the PS4.    … Expand

    Square Enix have made a fantastic job again after the great reboot. For me the Tomb Raider series since 2013 are the best 3D action adventures today. Fantastic story, outstanding gameplay and one of the best female hero you can play in a game.

    A great game & sequel to the first game. The story, gameplay, graphics and sound are great. I enjoyed this game and it kept me so engaged that I had to find all secrets and collectibles.

    Pretty decent game. Definitely inspires from Uncharted which isn't a bad thing at all and this is what the new reboot needed. I really enjoyed the gameplay when it came to puzzles and climbing. However gunplay and encounters felt stiff and level design wasn't good for encounters. The story is fine nothing too interesting and characters are ok too.

All the weapons have surprisingly deep upgrade system, often those upgrades have a visual impact and sometime audio impact on the weapons.

    Exploring caves in side missions got so much larger and more varied than in the previous title. Plenty of the locations are gorgeous to watch and even more exciting to explore.

    The only cons I can think of is the ending. I won't be spoiling anything, but for me the last 1-2 hours is too jammed with action and unnecessarily long puzzles. It felt like they tried to be more like Uncharted... which they don't need, they're doing so much better on their own. And that clickbait for the next game... There was no need.

    But ignore my nitpicking. This is a great game, especially for the current price, it's a bargain. I'm off to try Rise Of the Tomb Raider dlc.    … Expand

    Square Enix did the impossible. They absolutely blew Tomb Raider (2013) out of the waters.
    From the compelling storyline and well crafted characters to the beautiful and vast settings of Siberia, this game is a masterpiece.

    There are claims to the game: since I played the game for the first time in the series, I played on the difficulty "Experienced robber", and the game did not show me difficult, the problem is most likely in saving almost at every step, as well as too strong a weapon that can pump almost at the beginning, which makes it unbalanced (despite the fact that the game is not very long). It is clear that the developer apparently did not want to annoy the players by passing the same places a million times due to the fact that they were killed by the enemy, but still there is difficulty, there is shooting, there is death - and this death is not particularly frightening, because you you will be reborn literally in a couple of meters. Some perks are completely useless, some are not really balanced, some can help once, even if you are playing without saving. Gaining experience due to the fact that the game is short, fast enough, and because of this, you simply pump over the perks you do not need, without even reading them. Sometimes the game lacked a variety of locations, often it's just mountains, mountains and more mountains. In some places, the game turned frankly into a shooter, yes, it's cool to shoot, but when you want it, and not according to the script.
    Just a few more words about AI: it's good, the enemies are not blind morons, but at the same time they cannot see you 50 km away.     I am so happy that I bought all 3 games at once - just finished this game now and I have to say WOW! What a great game. The step in between 1 and 2 was great, the graphic looks so good, the story is awesome. The gameplay has improved in the correct ways compared to part 1, the big shooting scenes are gone and it feels more realistic now. The secrets you can find are addictive, couldn`tI am so happy that I bought all 3 games at once - just finished this game now and I have to say WOW! What a great game.     The best one of the Survivor series (but all 3 of them are pretty good). Fun gameplay, puzzles, climbing sections, tombs, combat, paired with an interesting story. Balanced game length too, not too short and not too long. DLCs are fun too.

    Lara Croft is hot and sexy female character in this amazingly fun action-adventure game, specially if you use nude mode on Lara, to see her full beauty! This game is full of action, hidden temples and fun puzzles to solve. Graphics are also really good for 2016 game. Highly recommended!

    This game is great. I enjoyed almost every aspect about it. The combat was satisfying because the ai used tactics to try to flank you. The stealth was also good, but not perfect. The locations were quite nice and the puzzles were challenging. My issues with this game are the story: It wasn't boring but the characters were mostly one dimensional, at least the villains had better motivationThis game is great.     A sequel which improves on the first game in nearly every way, Rise achieves its goal ably. The setting is confined and the plot is more focused that its predecessor. It would have been even sweeter if the main game was similar to the optional tombs and puzzles.

    I played it on ps5 and it looks amazing as expected it is running on next gen... i am disappointed though because it is only running in 30fps. The experience and feel is the same from part 1 except all the existing elements are there but improved. The flow of the story though, the plot, and the characters around while you are progressing the game are still the same as part 1 lara croft is trying to get a particular artifact while a hoard of soldiers tries to stop her and in the end she is not gonna keep it and the characters around her just keeps dying. Overall, the experience is really fun it literally feels like a continuation of part 1.  Story - 9/10

    I've always considered the Tomb Raider series superior to Uncharted. Great action-adventure game, with good puzzles and exploration. Some "RPG" elements too, like skills, weapon upgrades and side missions (something that Uncharted is completely void of).

    Rise of the Tomb Raider is a great game that met my expectations. I saw great potential in this franchise(I think with a few improvements that game could have been a 9/10 or 10/10). In fact, Rise of the Tomb Raider has one of the best action I saw in a videogame. Add amazing graphics and a great semi open-world to explore. However, even though the platforming is great overall, it seemsRise of the Tomb Raider is a great game that met my expectations. Add amazing graphics and a great semi open-world to explore. However, even though the platforming is great overall, it seems broken in some parts and will make you die a lot (it breaks the fluidity of the game IMO)

    I completed the main story in around 22-23 hours and did a few side missions. The optional tombs and the puzzles they contain are really well done.

    For some reasons, I didn't feel really engaged in the upgrading and leveling system. There are a lot of different abilities and weapons but they could have improved the way they introduced them.

    This game seems somewhere between Uncharted (adventure-linear) and Far Cry (adventure-open world).

    One last thing, I did my playthrough on the standard difficulty and I would recommend playing it on a harder difficulty for more engagement (Sometimes, I had then impression I played really bad but still progressed to the next checkpoint)    … Expand

    I have never played a Tomb Raider game before this and the story was still easy to follow. The story is very enjoyable but the gameplay is the main attraction. Lara uses her ice axes to climbing certain surfaces, a bow and arrow to take out her foes    I adore Rise of the Tomb Raider.
    I have never played a Tomb Raider game before this and the story was still easy to follow. The story is very enjoyable but the gameplay is the main attraction. We play as Lara Croft, an archeologist that is as athletic as she is intelligent, and she is very athletic. Lara uses her ice axes to climbing certain surfaces, a bow and arrow to take out her foes along with a large variety of firearms. Lara's father was a very intelligent man and loved making new discoveries, just like his daughter. Mr. Croft always craved an artifact, in particular, The Divine Source. The Divine Source was known to grand whoever wields it eternal life. Mr. Croft announced that he believed it was real and he will find it. Unfortunately, after many years with no success, people called him a liar. Mr. Croft then killed himself in defeat. Lara sets out on a journey to find the Divine and bring honor back to her, and her father's, name. Although, Lara was not the only one searching for the Divine Source. Trinity is a group of heavily armed people that intend on taking the Source and using it for themselves and will take down anyone in their way. The story is engaging and filled with impossible to predict twists to keep you at the edge of your seat. I give the story an 8.75/10. I only take some points off because it takes a lot from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. That is definitely not anything bad, but it's just not as original as I would have hoped. Thankfully, where it lacks in the story it makes up in the gameplay. This game relies heavily on stealth. If you are not quiet you will die very quickly. With Lara's large variety of abilities that should not happen often. Lara can throw items to distract enemies, climb across ropes to move without being seen, and swing from tree branches to get the high ground. Her most important ability I saved for last while standing still all enemies in her view is marked red or yellow. If they are red that means that another enemy/enemies can see them. If they are marked yellow nobody is looking at them. So if you kill someone that is yellow no one will know until they find the body. If you kill someone that is red they will see and immediately be on high alert. This ability goes very well with your silent bow and arrow for a clean kill. If you do get caught you have many abilities to use in combat as well. You can turn bottles into molotovs and cans into bombs. You also have many different types of arrows and guns that I will not spoil. You unlock all of these abilities as you play. Thankfully the enemies you face do not get stale because there is a large variety of them. With each one, you must know how to approach them. By the end of the game, you would have mastered all of your and their attacks and you will feel invincible. Unfortunately, the end of the game is my least favorite part of the game. There is a final boss that is so unsatisfying to fight against. I ended up trying to cheese them because I was so bored, but that didn't even work. This boss does not test any of the skills you have learned it is so underwhelming. Otherwise, I would have given it a 10/10, instead, I give the gameplay a 9.5/10. If I could have made any changes to the gameplay, without changing the story, it would be to have an ability to through enemy grenades back at them. Also to make a better boss, I don't know how to do that but this boss was not fun. Besides that, it is a wonderful game, and I give it an overall score of 9.125/10 (9/10). If it wasn't for the boss this might be one of my favorite games, but nothing beats Ori and the Will of the Wisps.    … Expand

    Great game. Playability is really nice. Graphics and story are nice. The upgraded rythme is well done.
    Yes, some levels looks 'the same'. It's a slow pace game with a lot of stealth action. I really enjoyed it.

    Much better than uncharted 4 while basically being the same game. Much more choice and the game isn’t nearly as linear as uncharted so it feels like you’re discovering something instead of being led through a single path

    This game really blew me away. The amount of graphical detail shows the time and love the devs put into this title. The combat feels punchy, brutal, quick and deadly (on harder difficulty). The puzzles are also a great change in pace, and though there aren't many of them, they can be quite challenging. The only downside to this game would be the plot, it's incredibly weak to the point ofThis game really blew me away.     The graphics are gorgeous and alive. The story is dark and intriguing. The action is pure cinematic gold. Arguably the best Tomb Raider game out of the Survivor Trilogy (Tomb Raider 2013- Shadow of the Tomb Raider)

    I did like this game. However, when I got closer to the end of the game, something just felt off. It got to the point where I would rush through the game just to get to the end. Other than that, A good sequel to the rebooted Tomb Raider series

    Graphics 9,5: great environment, breathtaking architecture, many times at aw, especially the tracks in the snow and the bright light effect at the end of tunnels/caves.
    Story 9: although subjective; I'm a huge fan of Indiana Jones the Last Crusade and it's story. This is quite similar; be it in a more snowy environment. Jonah from the prequel makes a rentree which I liked. Lara seems to have character development since her last venture and generally is less scared/fearful of what happens around her. Also the twists and turns of secondary characters are original (mainly Anna and Jacob). That same goes for bringing back the Croft Manor from the original and make that into it's own story, separate from the main storyline, I really loved that! The way they do puzzles here is extremely original, having to combine clues and really study them instead of the usual jumping pulling levers puzzles.
    Conclusion: 9 Although there are a few things I didn't mention before, the game isn't without a few bugs here and there. Being a kid from the 90's it doesn't really bother me as long as it's kept to a minimum, as it does. Definitely recommend the game to anyone who considers it!    … Expand

Катсцены поставлены на очень хорошем уровне и лицевая анимация не ниже.     Phenomenal semi-open world game! For me, gameplay vise it is an easy 9/10 (mele system needs some improvements) But the game has some gamebreaking bugs that is incredible frustrating to encounter. Otherwise it is 9/10 and must play for everyone who likes exploration of the semi-open world with upgrade systems of the abbilities and weapons! Amazing experience!

    Totally worth playing, and definitely a good adventure game with a complex type of puzzles. Additionally, the baba yaga dlc is also good, bringing lara croft back to it's roots of fighting mythical creatures from past games, 10/10.

    Again: Uncharted is only rated so high because of sexism. Tomb Raider is 10 thousand times better, and this newest trilogy is super cool, and pretty and fun

    The best Tomb Raider has ever been. This game is beautiful, fun, and full of tombs too try and solve. If you liked the reboot, you'll be right at home here. This game improves over everything in that game, and has far more too explore and see.

I liked the first Tomb Raider better than the Uncharted games because of it's more open level design, and this game takes that even further by providing a few much larger scale areas to explore at your own pace. None of the exploration feels like boring filler or copy/paste jobs, and the environments look awesome.

    The optional tombs are still very small in this game, usually providing only one puzzle before the reward. Still would prefer something closer to mini dungeons but these are better than the tombs in the first since they tend to look cooler and the puzzles you have to do feel a bit more inspired.

    Combat functions and feels virtually the same as the first, which isn't a bad thing but it's a generic third person shooter with regenerating health. It's still fun but doesn't provide much challenge, I was able to scrap my way through every fight without having to think and only died once because someone punched me off a ledge.

    This game doesn't saturate you with action though, so it never gets too repetitive as long as you're exploring the world and trying to find everything. I got 100% and probably only about a quarter of my time was spent in combat situations.

    All in all I had a great time with this one, giving it a full score higher than the first for the further improvements to level design.    … Expand

    Tras jugar a Tomb Raider(el reinicio), y en cuanto pude, no dudé en pillarme este Rise of the Tomb Raider. Continuamos con la historia de Lara investigando los apuntes de su padre sobre la ciudad perdida de Kítezh y el secreto de la inmortalidad. En esta segunda parte, los escenarios se abren muchísimo más aumentando la exploración para encontrar coleccionables y diferentes objetos para laTras jugar a Tomb Raider(el reinicio), y en cuanto pude, no dudé en pillarme este Rise of the Tomb Raider. Continuamos con la historia de Lara investigando los apuntes de su padre sobre la ciudad perdida de Kítezh y el secreto de la inmortalidad. En esta segunda parte, los escenarios se abren muchísimo más aumentando la exploración para encontrar coleccionables y diferentes objetos para la protagonista. En cuanto al sistema de habilidades, conseguimos desbloquearlas completando misiones, tumbas o desafíos. Durante la aventura, podremos crear botiquines, flechas, etc., con los materiales que vayamos encontrando por los mapas. Una de las novedades es el piolet para escalar, tanto en roca, piedra o hielo. La historia es interesante y si quieres completar el 100% te llevará bastante tiempo, ya que hay multitud de objetos que encontrar. Por otra parte, también hay un nivel extra en la mansión de los Croft en el que al más puto estilo Resident Evil hay que descubrir el secreto que guarda. Es un buen añadido. El tema de multijugador y online no lo he probado porque no me interesa, pero también es un añadido. Un juego muy recomendable.… Expand

    One of the best modern action adventures has finally arrived to PS4. Except a few small issues this version is a success, moreover, you will get all DLC along with the game; you can play in co-op and you will experience and extraordinary trip to Lara's home –  even with the support of VR. Set high difficulty, turn off auxiliary indicators and enjoy the Tomb Raider with everything that goes with it.
