    How does this game run so well on these older machines. All my mates got RE 8 so ive seen it runing on most hardware and no one is really missing out here ( maybe base XB1, but the 1X version is great).

    RE7 was a great game. Village took that formula and added some variations that made it even better in my opinion. The main concept stayed the same but they actually mixed in some episodes to make the game constantly change its pacing. There’s a horror episode (a really good one and pretty scary), sometimes throws you into a hurricane action like RE6 (closer to the ending). Some didn’t likeRE7 was a great game. Village took that formula and added some variations that made it even better in my opinion. It's a perfect summation of everything that works about Resident Evil as a series. It tweaks and embraces these elements, all packed into one efficient, engrossing and utterly horrifying set of challenges. ResidentThis game embodies everything a Resident Evil fan like me wants.     Up to date, on point but still a resident evil.

    Great Character design and graphics. Nice performance on PS4Pro.

    Contains the best mechanics from past resident evil games and also adds a few new ideas. Definitely a best of with the spirit of resident evil 4.

    Resident Evil Village is the best Resident Evil game. From the Atmosphere of the Village to the Level and Art design of the Castle. Everything feels masterfully thought out, and it is accompanied with a fantastic story at it's core, with Ethan Winters' story being wrapped up in a satisfying way. A must play for all Resident Evil fans.

    Next to Resident Evil 4 my favorite entry of the series! It is great that this franchise has different faces/aspects and (apart from the not great Resi 6) Resident Evil Village goes more into the Fantasy Horror direction. To stick to Ethan Winters may not have been the best choice ans this might disappoint some die hard Resi 7 fans, but in the end this is a super fun, exciting and soNext to Resident Evil 4 my favorite entry of the series!     Сюжет гармоничный и хорошо вплетён в канву серии. Это прямой сиквел седьмой    Недавно прошёл Resident Evil Village и хочу поделиться впечатлениями.

    Сюжет гармоничный и хорошо вплетён в канву серии. Это прямой сиквел седьмой части, что честно говоря удивительно. Так как я не помню такого в прошлых частях. В игре досказана история семьи Мии и Итана Уинтерсов.
    Антагонисты в игре просто великолепные: леди Димитреску с дочерьми, "магнето" Гейзенберг, водяной мутант Моро, Беневиенто с куклой Энджи и матерь Миранда. Плюс к этому несколько мини боссов, которые есть почти у всех видов монстров. При этом простые противники вместо однообразных плесневиков из предыдущей части, превратились во всяких оборотней, зомби громил и мороайек, летающих вальномий, волколаков, несколько видов киборгов и т. д. Короче бестиарием очень доволен.
    На PS4 игра выглядит лучше приквела. Очень стильно. Так же плюс в том, что теперь игра проходится на открытых просторах не меньше чем во всяких замкнутых пространствах. Поэтому виды, в отличии от той же семёрки, просто феерические. Короче красота.
    Геймплей практически не поменялся, но стрелять, как мне кажется, стало удобнее и это хорошо. Наконец свершилось чудо, они улучшили рюкзак протагониста. Теперь в нем только "готовые изделия": оружие, патроны, лечилки, гранаты. Для всяких ингредиентов: травы, пороха, всякой химии, есть своё меню (безграничное). Так же сюжетные предметы и сокровища места в инвентаре не занимают. Поэтому больше никаких сундуков и ежеминутных забегов до безопасной комнаты, что бы положить или взять какой либо предмет. Более объёмный рюкзак тоже искать не надо, он продаётся у местного ОГРОМНОГО барыги. При этом у него так же можно прокачивать оружие (как же мне не хватало этого в семёрке) и самого персонажа, скармливая оному разные блюда из местной фауны.
    Что касается атмосферы, она здесь в стратосфере! Просто очень трудно из неё выйти. Она просто затягивает с головой. Игра меня один раз даже напугала. Отдельная радость, игра имеет полностью русскую озвучку, чего мне очень не хватало в семёрке.
    Даже Крис Редфилд стал похож на себя. Етить колотить, ещё и сохранения стали намного удобнее.
    Просто не знаю, что ещё можно добавить? Ах, да! Протагонистом девятой части, думаю, будет женщина.
    Короче всем кому понравилась Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, проходить в обязательном порядке! А кто пропустил.........? Пройти две последние игры по очереди.
    Сегодня в моём игровом рейтинге Resident Evil 4 наконец уступила первое место в данной вселенной. Resident Evil Village новый чемпион!    … Expand

    Capcom you are incredible, this game has become a real discovery. Delight did not leave throughout the passage. The way they worked on the village is worthy of applause. A true child's delight, involvement in the gameplay, a real gift for everyone who appreciates single-player story games. Respect, it was very cool !

    This is the best part in the series, over the past 10-15 years, very atmospheric and with a more or less sane plot.

    The gameplay - is standard as in other parts of the series. The plot - is strong and interesting. The atmosphere - is very coolly balanced, there is both horror and action (there is more horror). Difficulty - playing hardcore, you will get EVERYTHING that is required    This is the best part in the series, over the past 10-15 years, very atmospheric and with a more or less sane plot.

    The gameplay - is standard as in other parts of the series.
    The plot - is strong and interesting.
    The atmosphere - is very coolly balanced, there is both horror and action (there is more horror).
    Difficulty - playing hardcore, you will get EVERYTHING that is required from a resident evile (at lower difficulties you will lose the whole essence of the game).
    Puzzles - there are a LOT of them and very diverse and very interesting.
    Back tracking - is probably the biggest of all the previous parts.
    Enemies - there are many of them, each with its own characteristics (both externally and gameplay).

    Bought this with very high hopes since i've been fan for the franchise since RE1. Capcom has had some odd steps with the series, but this time they went all in. Everything in this game feels like it has been really finished and thought thoroughly. I would say that this is best modern new resident evil on the past 10 years. For me, this is the best RE I have played. Great story plot, even more phenomenal graphics, brilliant atmosphere and climate , sounding, and yet the same gameplay that impresses once again.     Todo lo que tiene Re7, Re Village lo mejora y lo lleva a otro nivel.
    Ambientación de lo mejor que eh visto en muchos años, tanto el sonido ambiente como el diseño y la paleta de colores.... simplemente fascinante.

Solo unas cuantas pegas. 1) Los puzles son muy sencillos, se hacen casi por inercia, 2) No puedes personalizar el mapeado del control (para correr debes oprimir L3 y no puedes cambiar solo eso), si cambias de dirección con L ya no corres y debes volver a pulsar L3 y eso es muy incomodo cuando estas corriendo en combate con algunos jefes.… Expand

    Magnificent!!! Hands down one of the best Resident Evil games in years! it's got everything from the survival horror genre, mixed well with action & adventure elements. Fun bosses, awesome story with a mind-blowing twist and it's decently long for a RE game. Oh and it looks incredible! This is a 10/10 MUST BUY game, it's just a great experience and value! Well done to the developers. :)

    Finally Capcom is going back to their Resident Evil 4 (Best Resident Evil game of all time) roots. It's about time. Way better than Resident Evil 7 in literally every way possible. More actually interesting/fun boss fights, Weapon Upgrades, enemies drop loot (as they should), beautiful graphics. Can't wait to see what they do with Resident Evil 4 Remake, because now i'm hyped.

    Perfect combination of Action and Horror. Just like Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, The Evil Within and some more. I don't like these hide and seek type horror games, i want to fight back and have fun. Good game.

    I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game. It has Resident Evil 7 camera and Resident Evil 4 elements like inventory/merchant. It even has some RE2 Remake elements, that i'm not gonna spoil. Way more normal enemies than in RE7 (that's a +), more bosses (also a +), bosses actually look interesting, some of them reminded me The Evil Within bosses (that's a +).I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game.     I like this game a lot. I was worried that it will be too short and doesn't have enough boss battles, but i was prove wrong. There's so many different creatures and bosses, it's just amazing. Whole game has very strong Resident Evil 4 vibes and i dig that a lot, because RE4 is one my favorite games of all time.     El juego es buenísimo, mejora muchos aspectos respecto a su anterior secuela. Si es cierto que no da mucho terror, pero el progreso que le hicieron en los otros apartados hace olvidar ese pequeño asunto, su dirección artística y su sistema de sonido son espectaculares, sin duda uno de los mejores resident evil para celebrar su aniversario numero 25, capcom lo hizo de nuevo, felicidades.

    Capcom is finally going back to their Resident Evil 4 roots aka best era of Resident Evil. Can't praise them enough, so i'm just gonna say thank you! This really means a lot to me, because Resident Evil 4 is my all time favorite game and to be able to experience something similar again, is just amazing. Thank you Capcom!

    From start to finish, Resident Evil Village is a masterpiece, it is pretty well optimized on the base PS4, I had no problem the 12 hours of gameplay besides a couple of times I had low framerates (In specific bossfight).
    The new villians are super cool, specially Dimitrescu and Heisenberg, the others I felt like they were rushed in terms of backstory, but still they were fun

I appreciate everything you done and that you tried something different which makes this unique from all the previous games, the amount of detail, level and character design is amazing and the graphics out of this world with the RE engine, this is now one of my favourites in the whole series, also the length of the game wow and some complain its too short, come on it can be done in 16 hrs the longest, you must be playing on easy mode and not taking it all in. i had so many different vibes that were taking me back to the original games especially 4, the atmosphere was heavy and left me wanting more and it sure gave me more, I love the action with the spookiness to it, and the lords i loved the personality brought into them. Some people will complain just because its not zombies? im fed up of zombies and the same old tyrants to be honest, get over it if you want zombies go back and play the originals this game has more to give its more then zombies they are like zombie werewolves even better!, This game feels more realistic and haunting i feel like im in the game. I think some people didnt like that factory at the end but i loved it, its just what i wanted from a game like this, it reminded me of the island from RE4 and it was so intense with those Drill guys it scared me, time to do the harder modes! RE2 and RE3 you know what to expect and feel but this was on another level even on the slow moments it paid up for it with something big afterwards with things i couldn't imagine, of course it has its down moments too but i don't really care about that as i can brush it off this is one of the best games ive played better then all the other RE games i think. Again an amazing game just do what you want Capcom, i smiled to this game and said to myself, wow this is truly a masterpiece i couldn't believe the work put into this game so thank you, This is a fresh, unique, game thanks for trying something new and has so much more replay ability and the mercenaries are back looking forward to more games.… Expand

    First of all, let me state it is a super game. Graphics, episode designs, characters are all outstanding. And most importantly, the story. This story is one of the best I've ever seen. And the compatibility of Resident Evil Biohazard and the story is enormous. I have no words for the finale anyway.     As a huge fan of resident evil, this game made me feel as in the childhood while playing re 4, my favourite chapter. Game is divided to a different locations and all of them feel extremely atmospheric. Strongly recommend.

    Melhor Jogo de terror da Geração PS4/XBOXONE!
    O trabalho da Capcom dessa vez me surpreendeu. Não só trouxe um trabalho impecável em questão de gráficos, história, trilha sonora e personagens, mas surpreendeu também com a dublagem do jogo que é coisa nova na franquia (pelo menos aqui no Brasil). Meu jogo favorito atualmente dos lançamentos de 2021.

Passado alguns anos após o incidente, Ethan está com Mia e sua filha Rose, tentando seguir a vida e superar os traumas do passado. No começo do jogo, Chris Redfield invade sua casa matando Mia e levando Rose e Ethan. Após um incidente no transporte dos dois, Ethan acorda e não sabe onde está sua filha. Daí começa sua jornada em um vilarejo hostil, com diversas criaturas folclóricas como lobisomens, vampiros e bruxas... No decorrer da história, fica claro que tais criaturas eram seres humanos que foram expostos ao Cadou, parasita geneticamente modificado que foi exposto ao Mofo. A vila possui uma espécie de anciã/profetisa, conhecida como Mãe Miranda e esta possui quatro Lordes, Alcina Dimitrescu, Donna Benneviento, Salvatore Moreau e Karl Heisenberg. O jogo tem ambientes abertos e fechados, trazendo um realismo casuístico à experiência, já que Ethan já tem as experiências passadas e não é tão indefeso como no jogo anterior. No modo padrão, não é um jogo difícil, então recomendo o modo Intenso para aqueles que já estão habituados com a saga. Nesse modo, a experiência se torna bastante desafiadora. Os gráficos estão excelentes, a jogabilidade é incrível e possui uma boa diversidade de armas, o que pode tornar a gameplay interessante. Para os amantes de Resident Evil 4, o Village possui muitas referências e o intuito da Capcom era justamente trazer a nostalgia desse clássico e preparar o público para o Remake que será lançado em 2023. Não acho que o jogo possui muita ação, pois em diversos momentos há partes de sobrevivência e terror, principalmente na casa Benneviento, que por sinal é o ponto mais alto do jogo. Tem uma quantidade boa de puzzles e de colecionáveis. Destaque para a atuação da atriz que deu vida para a personagem Alcina Dimitrescu, que a tornou um ícone da série.     With ultra-realistic graphics, the game feels amazing and achieves its purpose perfectly.

    Must play, the experience is incredible, with everything from survival horror, mixed great with action game elements, thus immersing you perfectly in the adventure presented.

I'm not a fan of first person shooters - I just feel lost in space- but this is probably the best I've played action/control wise. Also, its atmospheric, occasionally grotesgue and messed up, and always scary.     Here once again like in resident evil 7 you play as ethan winters, searching for his daughter rose after their home is ambushed and the both of you are kidnapped, you find yourself in a village full of vampire meets werewolf character, and its so refreshing to not deal with lame zombies or mold creatures.. these enemies are terrifying when you first run into them… but I woulve loved a gradual lead up to actually getting some weapons in hand muck like in resident evil 7.. sneaking around this village, sneaking through the castle trying not to get caught as you got the items you needed, until finally you get a weapon, blast your way out of the castle and destroy the enemies in the village.. instead I almosti mmediatly felt untouchable.. which really killed the scary aspect of village for me.. there were definitely erie moments here for me.. but I never felt terrified the way I did in past resident evil games.. but as a more action almost first person devil may cry feeling game… village is great.. and I absolutely love the attention to detail and variety here… resident evil village is constantly switching up the areas as you set out to take down multiple targets in a vastly different setting from eachother.. theres so much to collect, find and upgrade like the older resident evil games, with the map color indicator letting you know when you’ve grabbed everything, and these a shop that just pops up along your journey to upgrade your weapons, buy ammo, or sell these crystals you pick up off of enemies, really giving you incentive to be aggressive here.. trying to afford all of the upgrades you can for your weapons..
    Resident evil village does get a little lame and obring in its final stretch. .but they all do.. but not nearly as bad as 7 biohazard… if youre ready for resident evil to get back to the way it used to but don’t want to let go the creepiness first person adds to the series.. resident evil village is a perfect mix.. I do again just wish they tried to scare me a little bit more… much like in the maiden demo… more of that mixed into resident evil village, and this couldve reached masterpiece level..

    Finally rolled the credits on village ❤ it took me 10 hours to beat the main campaign with almost 80 percent of side content involved and i have to say capcom surely deserves all the credit here

    Resident Evil Village is a far cry from its more grounded and horror-focused predecessor, but in the end, it’s perhaps just as lovable. At times it feels like a greatest hits collection of some of the best elements of previous Resident Evil games, and while that leads to it not being wholly coherent, it’s not to its detriment. It may not be perfect in terms of combat mechanics and storytelling, but Resident Evil Village keeps you on your toes, with you never truly knowing what’s waiting for you around the next corner. And that’s why when playing it, the hours simply fly by. Will the series ever become stale? Not while it’s being as inventive as this, that’s for sure.

    In the end, Resident Evil Village is not a perfect experience but it is still an awesome one and easily the best of the recent games in the series. It's scary, suspenseful, grounded in relatable human drama, and an overall blast to play; I highly recommend giving it a shot.
