    Yeah it’s cool. Lots of fun, creepy and scary. Not a big RE fan but I’d recommend. The first person really adds to the horror. 8/10

    loved this game so much , it tries something different unlike any other , good story and honestly one of the scarier resident evil games i've played, very well made with exceptional DLC as well.

    RE8 reminded me of how scary RE7 was lol
    For RE series I prefer TPS over FPS, but I definitely had a lot of fun with this game. It doesn't feel like an action game, it's a horror game. This game has the horror which was lacking in recent resident evil games.

    This game is pure ASS. That is if ASS stood for Amazingly Structured Story. I have to commend Capcom for making such an investing experience. This is basically every horror fan's wet dream. From the atmosphere, to the sandbox elements and, finally, the world building. This game manages to make every emotion felt count throughout the whole game.     The atmosphere created an amazing sense of suspense. I was not expecting Resident Evil to go back to its horror roots. For a game in the Resident Evil franchise, it was a lot scary than expected. At points, I felt like they missed opportunities to really freak the user out. AI could have been better, felt forced rather than actually living characters.     This game is pretty much the perfect resident evil game. I highly recommend especially for those wanting to get into the series, you don't need to know a a lot or even any of the story beforehand. Just enjoy the ride!

    In light of the boulder punching nonsense of Resident Evil 5 and 6, I was nervous about Resident Evil 7 but was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's more than an Outlast clone. It shows that when Capcom grants control to writer Richard Pearsey, who wrote Spec Ops: The Line, greatness will emerge. RE7 starts with our protagonist Ethan Winters in the midst of searching for his wife MiaIn light of the boulder punching nonsense of Resident Evil 5 and 6, I was nervous about Resident Evil 7 but was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's more than an Outlast clone. It shows that when Capcom grants control to writer Richard Pearsey, who wrote Spec Ops: The Line, greatness will emerge. RE7 starts with our protagonist Ethan Winters in the midst of searching for his wife Mia after receiving an odd video from her abroad while she worked a secret project before abruptly going missing. The search has taken Ethan out to an outskirt Louisiana bayou, within minutes of leaving their vehicle the player is in a lovely forest in bright daylight which was unexpected to say the least. Though as the player travels toward their destination the surroundings become more and more grim (this includes a graphic ritualistic vivisection of a horse). Finally at the end of the trail Ethan finds himself at the gates of the seemingly abandoned Baker family residence. This cliché yet unique intro is probably the best horror intro I've encountered maybe ever. Just to give the player an idea of what they are in for throughout the game, Ethan quickly becomes gravely injured and even loses a hand (though miraculously healing via green water). A phone rings with the voice of Zoe Baker on the line who warns Ethan of the troubles at home and offers help. It is around this time that we meet the whole Baker family. The father Jack, mother Marguerite, son Lucas, and grandma. All of whom have more personality in their individual selves than RE 5 & 6 have in their whole games. Naturally, dinner with the fam does not go well for Ethan which violently upsets Jack. Upon escaping daddy you are left to the horrors of the mansion. Through every hall there are a number of puzzles to solve which require great skill to complete. Not because the puzzles are difficult, but because of the horrifying Venom like creatures stalking and assaulting the player at every turn. As one can predict each of the Baker family members has a unique area and boss fights (yes, fights with an S because you will face each one a number of times). If you have a fear of insects, mother Marguerite is one you should mentally prepare for. Throughout each area the story unfolds beautifully, and sometimes annoyingly due to a lack of inventory space. This can be improved on but in classic RE fashion it's never massive and has no auto organize feature. You may end up wondering "How is this a Resident Evil game without Umbrella?" but be patient, you'll get there, and find the worst of the worst Eveline along the way. From a technical perspective RE7 can be a challenging game as the movement is very janky, Ethan runs and walks as though he weighs a metric ton, which is a big negative for me. The mold monsters are also a negative, they're bullet sponges who only exist to fill space while you do your stuff, and their design is a little uninspired. The long and short of it is that if you enjoyed Resident Evil 2,3, and 4, you will definitely enjoy this one. Even though the story lacks some of that classic camp. In addition there are no necessary microtransactions or overly expensive DLC.… Expand

    Gran videojuego que sabe mantenerte en tensión hasta el final. La franquicia ha sabido renovarse y ojalá siga esta línea, ya que en primera persona se vive más intenso todo. Como pero…. habría estado bien más variedad de enemigos. Muy recomendable.

    Tried it in VR lol but I felt sick jumping off the first ledge at the start.

    Played it without VR, unreal.

    Can’t imagine how brutal it is in VR.

    No surprise to anyone that Resident Evil 7 is a must play for anyone that enjoys survival horror, ever since it came out it's been well received and for good reason. Great gameplay mixed with genuinely scary moments.

I played the game in all difficulties and it was really good, however the madhouse was more hard at start consider it take 20 headshots to take down Mia and you only get 27 ammo in total, the ending is kinda weak consider all you do is shooting and you barelly even use left stick.

Don’t worry I’m only mentioning stuff in the beginning hour of the game. But just like every other Resident Evil game item management is key during a boss if you run out of bullets your really screwed specially when the fight is against the mother. There is little ammo and health to go by so you have to make them it it’s a refreshing difference because I just got done playing Uncharted 4 where you can punch and run and gun but with this you have only 10 shots in your pistol waste it and you have to use a pocket knife which is not useful. The puzzles are not hard but not too easy one in particular is very unique if you didn’t watch a play through before like I did you would be confused but I loved it. The bosses are nothing to ride home about either there all easy even the final boss because by then you have a gun with a lot of ammo. But that doesn’t matter when this is the best FPS Horror game I have ever played. It’s available now on all modern platforms for about 20 bucks it’s short but fun.… Expand

    This game is awesome. The reason why people play horror games is to be immersed in something that scares them and that pushes their psychological, emotional, and mental limits. RE7 accomplishes that and more in creating a beautiful yet horrific setting and building psychological pressure around the player as they progress through the game.     - the plot is not very consistent, with some details not matching, which is clear to anyone paying attention to it. The game also directly spoils its key plot twist    RE7 is a great horror game, an enjoyable one for sure. The devs dared to move forward and try something new after RE6, which was pretty bad to my taste, and that is remarkable. Sure, this RE has some flaws, big ones, actually:
    - the plot is not very consistent, with some details not matching, which is clear to anyone paying attention to it. The game also directly spoils its key plot twist in like 5 minutes before it happens, wtf;
    - RE also loves throwing cheap jump scares at you pretty often;
    - some may not like this new texas chainsaw massacre style (myself included);
    - the second part of the game feels like it was made in a rush before hitting a release deadline, with fewer things happening, no new challenges, fights, or puzzles.
    - the whole "big choice" thing is disappointing. You'd expect much more impact on the ending than it actually has;
    Still, the atmosphere holds it up, and the gameplay itself is great (with no piano puzzles - thank you, devs), and the moment with Lucas (inspired by the Saw movies) was fun.    … Expand

    Was expecting to hate this as someone who grew up playing the originals but wow I was wrong. What an amazing game and by far the scariest game I've ever played. Really hope they make a throwback in this way first person but back in Raccoon city with zombies etc. If you love the old Res evils or survival horror this is a must

    Ottimo capitolo della nuova saga.
    Bellissima la prima parte all'interno della casa, personaggi inquietanti e situazioni claustrofobiche. Adrenalina assicurata.
    Seconda parte un po' in calo.
    Longevo al punto giusto e livello di sfida ben bilanciato.
    Funziona bene anche la visuale in prima persona.

The first half of the game is a perfect in my book, the atmosphere is the best part about it, you constantly feel like something is going to pop out behind you. The villains are also amazing and contribute greatly to the enjoyment of the exploration. If you're a Resident Evil fan, jump for it, it's one of the best.     Минусы:
    1. Оружие. Существуют буквально бесполезные виды оружия, по типу огнемета и гранатомета, которые кроме определенных мест не выгодны в использовании.
    2. Хоррор. Эта игра НЕ хоррор, и именно поэтому я ставлю не 9, а 8 баллов. Игра окончательно ушла в экшн, хотя позиционирует себя как ужасы, но с этим не справляется.

    Вердикт - игра обязательна к покупке, но если вы олдфаг серии или хотите хоррора - вам не сюда.    … Expand

But that said, once it gets going, ya get locked into it.

    The one particular complaint I want to include here is that the VR mode is better at most points, but then there are other points where I just flat-out wasn't looking at the right area for certain jump scares like I would've in non-VR and it actually confused me. That and the sound design is a little over-reactive to Ethan's footsteps; I kept thinking someone was right near me when it was literally just Ethan brushing up against some tiny object.

    Overall, great game, though. The story is more believable than most Resident Evil titles. The grittiness in the atmosphere makes the environment feel somewhat less fictional, which makes the scares from abnormal circumstances remain engaging, even when it gets ridiculous. Comes off a little bit like an homage to multiple classic horror movies, but it ties it all together organically enough to not feel like fan service. Definitely a worthwhile title for fans of horror games.    … Expand

    O RE7 é o retorno triunfal da franquia. Tem o gênero de survivla horror dos primeiros e ainda acrescenta um terror, principalmente com o modo em primeira pessoa, que pode não agradar alguns, mas funciona. O puzzles, cenários e a história simples funciona perfeitamente. O jogo é bizarramente bom e desesperador em alguns momentos. Simplesmente um dos melhores da franquia.

    it's not like the older RE games, but I enjoyed it very much.

    Por fin se regresa a las raíces y el terror veo que /uchos dicen que no es un RE pero merece llevar el título, recuerda mucho al primer RE por los espacios cerrados y la mansión, además en la primera mitad del juego se sigue manteniendo las mecánicas de la falta de recursos, que de eso hablaré después, el terror se siente ahí y la primera persona permite combinar en los combate una esenciaPor fin se regresa a las raíces y el terror veo que /uchos dicen que no es un RE pero merece llevar el título, recuerda mucho al primer RE por los espacios cerrados y la mansión, además en la primera mitad del juego se sigue manteniendo las mecánicas de la falta de recursos, que de eso hablaré después, el terror se siente ahí y la primera persona permite combinar en los combate una esencia de acción con un muy buen terror de no saber que hay en la próxima esquina como en la entrega de psx, las Animaciones faciales son un poco toscas pero no es muy importante en realidad, las únicas cosas en las que creo que falla son en los enemigos que la primera vez que los vez son increíbles pero después aburren al ser el mismo con algunas variaciones como tener un brazo especial, ser gordo o ir a cuatro patas, y la segunda son los puzzles, realmente no sentí que fueran lo más destacable y que eso un se quedó incluso en el re4 pero salvo eso me encantó todo lo demás, lo último es su ritmo, las escenas scriptadas son buenas el primer walktroug pero después solo aburren y estorba pues no se pueden saltar… Expand

    It starts out absolutely amazing, so scary and the atmosphere is fantastic, gameplay is fun, puzzles are fun. Then about 3 quarters into the game the game decides to be super mid. If you’ve played the game you know what I’m talking about. 10/10 first 3 quarters and 3/10 last quarter. Capcom had some serious potential here but they just messed up the last part of the game.

    This is my favorite part at the moment. A new protagonist who was just a regular guy, not a cop or agent, the game play itself from the first person gave me more fear while playing it, and this whole bakers family thing. Perfection, one of my favorite games

It takes you back straight up to the survival horror roots of the Resident Evil series, but with a more modern focus in terms of gameplay and without taking most or none of the elements that make an OG style Resident Evil game an actual OG Resident Evil game.

    The only part or section of the game that i didn't like too much, was the one on the boat, but because it was so short, i don't think it takes away anything out of the experiencie

    I overall loved it. I probably would have rated it a 9-10 if I had rated it when the game released. It unfortunately shows its age a bit, especially when compared to RE8.

Only a few negatives that honestly aren’t even that bad like the carrying system where you have to carry key items and the fact that you can’t skip cutscenes.     RE7 bring the saga back to true horror. Claustrophobic, looney, pure madness around you from brilliantly designed characters. They keep spoiling the great work done on characters with the non-sense bulky super-monsters they become, for the boss fight... Why? They are so predictable, it doesnt make them a boss fight at all!

    Classic masterpiece. It is a legendary game that even uses the Jumpscare feature in its place and manages to scare you even when you are standing still.

First 10 minutes I almost crapped my pants next hour my mind left me and it felt like I was on autopilot 5 hours in wasn't too bad towards the final boss I wasn't that scared as I was annoyed final boss anti-climactic but spectical wasn't bad. Over all it deserves a 9/10 from me since it did what it set out to do, revitalize the survival horror genre and it was my first RE game that I (specifically) played… Expand

    I am so glad this game exists, it rebooted the most dead and ruined horror game franchise out there, This game was a masterful comeback not only in Resident evil but in the horror department. To this day this game is terrifying and incredibly difficult at the start making your body almost tense up at times. It deals with tension so damn well going fully into the horror department.     First Resident Evil game I've played. This game was great. The setting was just so damn creepy. The gameplay was fun, puzzles were meh but the bosses were great. Going through each family member was cool af. I'd say the worst part is on the ship. Didn't like that part. But the rest of the game is great. Sure a RE game that doesn't really have zombies is weird, but I think it worked.

    After mediocre 5th and 6th part, Capcom really redeemed themselves with this one. As a long time survival horror fan, I was so delighted that Resident Evil series was finally back to their core. Resident Evil 7 became my favorite game in the series the moment I started playing it.

    Honestly this game is just peak survival horror and has everything you would want from a RE game the only down side is a lack of enemy variety.

    It could be 10/10 but the charecter movement is slow and the handguns are mostly useless so fighting against enemies can be very messy regardless it's very enjoyable, has a good story, exploration and one of the best boss battles in all of re games

    I play this game almost 36 times and I’m still not bored yet. It makes me scared every single time.
    And it will be the number one game ever.

    Fun scary and over the top. It somehow doesn't feel like resident evil at all but also does at the same time. If you like the series this is one of the more interesting entries.

    Man.. walking up to that house to the first time…. no idea what I was getting myself into. Loved the shadow puzzles and pretty much everything about this game. Looking forward to playing through again in VR. I enjoyed this one a lot more than Village (which was also pretty good.) Definitely worth a playthrough if you’re a horror fan.

    honestly this is my favorite resident evil and it saved the series. im still shocked capcom took so many risks here but thank god they did. also I wish other re games would be as random and experimental with dlc

    My first resident evil game. immediately fell in love with the game and the resident evil franchise. This game doesn't have the same vibe as the previous one where you are a cop fighting zombies, it has a vibe of a classic horror movie where you explore a house with a **** up family. Overall good story I suggest you give this game a try!

    This was my first resident evil game and all I could remember was people hating on the first person POV. I wish I could see the dumb look on their faces when they realize how good this game is.

    This game single-handedly saved the franchise. Bringing it back to its survival horror roots. RE7 will go down as one of the best in the franchise, as it tackled something new to Resident Evil... first person. It exceeded in a majority of areas, though the boat segment is a bit off-putting even though I kind of like it.

    Definitely a must play for all horror fanatics!

    Whether played in VR or not, Resident Evil 7: biohazard is a thrilling game and it shouldn’t be missed. If you have the option to play the game with a PSVR, you should by all means do so. Regardless of how you play Resident Evil 7: biohazard, just be sure that you do because it is one of 2017’s finest releases and the constant stream of DLC keeps the nightmare alive.
