Pretty mediocre to say the least, now Resident Evil 3 was never as good as 2 to begin with but when 2 got remade and succeeded on all levels i was expecting a similar thing with 3 but unfortunately but 3 takes away the magic of the survival horror aspect from 2, although not to it's fault since the story in 3 is largely more action focused than 2 but even then the horror aspects from it just feel cheap and uninspired.

    Graphically it's outstanding but that's one of the few fair points i can give, it was okay but not amazing    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Aunque presenta puntos que me encantan (añadir un esquive como mecánica, coger objetos sin parar la acción, los nuevos tipos de zombies, los rediseños de otros enemigos...), siento que es un juego muy recortado.

    Recortado no tanto por la no inclusión de escenarios como el parque o la torre del reloj (puesto que lo que añaden me gusta más en su conjunto, como re-imaginación), sino que al juego le falta contenido para re-jugarlo (me he sacado el platino increíblemente rápido), las recompensas en la tienda están mal equilibradas, y la interacción de personajes secundarios (fuera del cuarteto Jill-Carlos-Tyrell y Nicholai), está tremendamente desaprovechado, podrían haberles dado un par de minutos de interacción sin problema.

    Parece un juego diseñado para speed-runners y precipitado. Podría haber salido mucho mejor (de hecho este Némesis me gusta mucho más que el clásico, aunque le hubiera puesto una transformación intermedia entre la 1 y la 2), pero no ha sido así.

    Al poner la tienda tan accesible (con los méritos de matar a "x" enemigos tan bien recompensados), puedes explotarlo en exceso. Pese a todo, como juego de entretenimiento, si te propones "nuz lockes" (o limitaciones propias, no recuerdo cómo se escribe), y no te fijas en el rango S, puede ser muy divertido. Tiene mucha acción concentrada, y la primera hora de juego marca mucho qué estilo vas a seguir.

    ¿Lo recomiendo? Sí. Me encanta esta franquicia. No vale 60 € o $, pero en una oferta puede ser apetitoso. Es importante que si lo comparamos con la re-imaginación de la segunda parte, está mucho menos cuidada, y que se juegue con expectativas bajas. Esperemos que estos errores que no incurren en un aumento del costo alto no se repitan en futuras entregas. Ojalá pudiera darle mejor nota, pero no se la merece.

Aunque no es el lugar adecuado para ello, menciono por encima el RE:Resistance como algo poco cautivador, pese a ser poco de jugar en equipo, incluso yo noto que es algo que no llamará la atención en especial. Pagaría muy gustosamente un proyecto tipo Outbreak, pero esto es flojo, de 4 o así (no le hago reseña porque le he echado sólo 3 horas).    … Expand

    The "remake" of Resident Evil 2, was really similar to the original one, changing just a few things, and that's the reason why a lot of people loved that game, but this one, Resident Evil 3 is very different of the 1999 game, but that is not something bad, because RE2 and RE3 are not supposed to be "remakes" they are REIMAGINATIONS, so, they don't have to be just like the original game,The "remake" of Resident Evil 2, was really similar to the original one, changing just a few things, and that's the reason why a lot of people loved that game, but this one, Resident Evil 3 is very different of the 1999 game, but that is not something bad, because RE2 and RE3 are not supposed to be "remakes" they are REIMAGINATIONS, so, they don't have to be just like the original game, and RE3 feels like you are playing a new and different game and that's awesome, if you don't like it, it doesn't mean that is a bad game, for those who don't enjoy playing the new RE3, go and play the original one, but both are great, the changes that RE3 have are really awesome, and nemesis is better than ever, the boss fight against phase 2 and phase 3 are really enjoyable, and the game IS NOT SHORT, is even longer than the original, the 1999 game i beat it on 5 hours and 42 minutes in my FIRST TIME, and the 2020 game i beat it on 12 hours and 15 minutes on my FIRST TIME too, and both games i beat it with all the zones discovered at the 100% obtaining every single item. The new RE3 is really really awesome and enjoyable, after you beat the game are a lot of challenges left to do, like complete it in nightmare and inferno, two modes that are more difficult than hardcore… Expand

    The game is not bad at all, it's a good survival horror, but if you compare it to the original game, it loses a lot of his escense. It a game really short, in Standart, I completed it in less than 5 hours, but it was really intense.
    Pros: The plot is good, and there are good parts. Fighting against Nemesis is really intense in his combats.
    Contras: the only optional fight against Nemesis    The game is not bad at all, it's a good survival horror, but if you compare it to the original game, it loses a lot of his escense. It a game really short, in Standart, I completed it in less than 5 hours, but it was really intense.

This game has been reduced into a banal linear shooter, more than half of the original game was brutally cut with no worthy replacements, everything is so rushed with hardly something to do other than shooting the same hordes of recycled zombies, so linear shootings + missing locations make this remake way too short and very far from RE3 formula or any other remake formula, normally when you make a remake you leave everything there from the original and expand it, this is the first remake ever where they took almost everything away instead of adding, so what's the point remaking a classic when the classic from 1999 on psx still offers much more than this remake?     This game is short. The new dodge system make this game weird and unrealistic. The design of final boss is disgusting in nightmare and infernal. I prefer instant kill by one hit rather looking at Jill being hit by final boss, struggling on floor, stand up and being hit again(almost every single time). Waste of time and looks stupid.

    Jill looks great. Every character looks great. The mechanics are amazing aside from the dodge that its a little bit messy. Overall great game, i just cant give it more than 5 because i've played the original when i was young and i must ask. Where is the patrolling of Nemesis? In the first 10 minutes of the game? That it?

    So, here it is, another game for 2020 that some people hate it, and other love it. Technically, it's perfect. Same engine as RE2 from last year, more variety to the levels, and so, to the visuals. Sound is great, the soundtrack too, with more tracks from the original game. The story changes major events from the original games. Some loved it, some hated it. I think it was a good move. ISo, here it is, another game for 2020 that some people hate it, and other love it. The game is short, very short, and there is no replay value. Just one character, one ending, one straight line, and that's it.     Jogo muito curto, as partes mais legais são muito rápidas e o restante é um grande corredor chato e desinteressante, o Nemesis não deixa vc com medo, ele só te assusta no Jump Scare, depois de jogar Resident Evil 2 remake (que na minha opinião é um puta acerto da Capcom) o 3 te deixa um gosto amargo no geral e querendo que essas 5 horas de gameplay tenham sido apenas um pesadelo.

    Same gameplay and mechanics than RE2 Remake but now you can dodge. Didn't play the original RE3 but this is much more focused on action than on puzzle solving. Also graphics are great but it is extremely short, only 4 to 5 hours in campaign mode. It has an online multiplayer add on that I haven't tried but I would rather have a longer story.

    Mucho contenido sin utilizar, por ejemplo crearon el escenario final con el helipuerto y no es exporable, se quito hasta un 60% del mapa del original. Se quitaron enemigos, no hay mercenarios, no hay DLC.

    I liked this game I just wish it was longer n I also wish like in re.2 that Carlos n jill had separate stories like leon n Clair did. Have them separate n not mashed into 1 game i think would have been better. I still like the story better then the last of us 2 cuz no1 wants there main character killed the way joel was n then have to play as abby his killer . That to me was so dumb and aI liked this game I just wish it was longer n I also wish like in re.2 that Carlos n jill had separate stories like leon n Clair did. Have them separate n not mashed into 1 game i think would have been better.     Resident evil 3 (original) is probably the most important game in my life, and i ganna say, i was a bit disappointed with this remake

    And a lot of cut content
    But i still believe it's a good game, it really is

But reason why i gave it a 2 was because alot of the content was removed. The areas like the clock tower, the boss fights, the extra modes and endings that were in the original all removed.     In a time when I thought game devs had learned to pick a focus on singleplayer or multiplayer and stick to it had hit home in the industry, RE3's remakeis here to remind us there is always the chance to dip back into the industry's old mistakes.

    The game has a severe lack of content, and no, I am not referring to cut levels like the Clock Tower. That stuff does not matter. What matters    In a time when I thought game devs had learned to pick a focus on singleplayer or multiplayer and stick to it had hit home in the industry, RE3's remakeis here to remind us there is always the chance to dip back into the industry's old mistakes.

    The game has a severe lack of content, and no, I am not referring to cut levels like the Clock Tower. That stuff does not matter. What matters is that the game is absurdly short compared to its original, the story is weak even by RE standards, with no excuse at this point in modern game design for bad acting and writing, and the gameplay lacks the depth and variety its original, or even the RE2 remake had to offer.
    Remakes
    The option to go further into combat while still trying to maintain some of that RE horror was risky and did not entirely pay off. However the gameplay is smooth, fun, and since the game is so short, never gets old on you. Had more time been given to make the game longer I would hope the variety of combat would have been increased as well. The lack of puzzle and exploration is the largest failure for the game, alongside the iconic villain being relegated to a few scripted encounters and boss fights.

    In conclusion, a decent game that suffers from a lack of content, almost surely due to the forced inclusion of time and effort to develop a multiplayer mode RE: Resistance. Had this not been a part of the game's development there is no doubt in my mind the glaring lack of content and variety would have been resolved.    … Expand

    I dont agree with the sentiment that the game was too short. I found the initial play through to be quite satisfying, with trophy achievements offering replayability. A few more puzzle elements would have been nice but overall i thought i got my moneys worth

The story, some of the story in this game is okay and some of it is really bad. the gameplay is also kind of bad, the game never challenged me (i played it on inferno) and when it was challenging I would rewarded with ammo, supplies, etc. the dodgeI did like this game at times! but liking a game and ignoring the flaws is called being a bad reviewer, so let's get into the stupid stuff. The story, some of the story in this game is okay and some of it is really bad. the gameplay is also kind of bad, the game never challenged me (i played it on inferno) and when it was challenging I would rewarded with ammo, supplies, etc. the dodge mechanic is kind of clunky where sometimes it would work, and sometimes it would do some weirdo sh*t where it doesn't respond. Yeah the graphics and the music are incredible but it gets weighed down by the stupid stuff. Hopefully RE8 will surpass my expectations because RE2 remake was fine it wasn't great and RE3R is just meh. overall i give it a 5/10 play it and see if you like it!… Expand

    It's not horrible, but basically a very short DLC from the Resident Evil 2 remake. If it was $20 that would be about the right price for a good rating. Resident Evil 2 had several mini stories that were separate from the main story that you could play. This game is basically a longer one of those stories.

    Even though it is a very successful game, you will feel a little disappointed. Compared to the remake of the second game, this one often loses its pace and it is impossible to get rid of the impression that there could and should have been more to this game. [Issue#303]

    After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
