Y quiero resltar, NO SON MUCHOS.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm a hardcore RE fan that played most RE games (except the terrible ones), and I have a mixed feeling about this one. In my opinion, this is a brilliant edition that added a whole new spin to the game while preserving certain moments from the good old RE3 that we all remember.

I definitely enjoyed playing it, and more importantly, I appreciated the face lift and the new changes that were introduced. The remake enabled me to play my old beloved RE3 once again after all those years, and on a much superior platform, while keeping me intrigued by "what else is new here". However, I feel that a few crucial events, moments or encounters from the old RE3 were missed or dismissed in the remake, and this was hard to ignore within the short play time that the remake has to offer.

This game could have offered a lot more, but I was short and sweet, and definitely worth playing. Thanks to the legends of CAPCOM and I look forward to more remakes!

I was never interested in playing Resident Evil 3, but after playing Resident Evil 2, I wanted to play even more Resident Evil games.
I could've played Resident Evil 7: biohazard, however, I'm not a big fan of horror games, so I decided to play Resident Evil 3 because it doesn't emphasize on horror as much as Resident Evil 7 does.

Just like in every other Resident Evil game I've played, the story in Resident Evil 3 isn't good but it's not an important part of these games anyway.
The characters though, they're... alright, I guess? The side-characters are completely irrelevant but the main characters are actually pretty likable.
The gameplay is very similar to Resident Evil 2's gameplay but faster and more smooth, it's extremely fun once again, however, the headshots don't feel as satisfying for some reason, and the puzzles have been toned down so much, they're almost absent.
Also, the atmosphere is really good for the most part and it's not surprising that the graphics are incredible, and the audio design is amazing too.
Now, I haven't played the original game before, so I don't mind the cut content, however, I suppose because of that, the game is very short; it only took me 4 to 5 hours to finish my playthrough, and that's a bit underwhelming.
Last but not least, Nemesis, a tyrant who is supposed to be a major threat in the game, is not utilized well; he only appears in linear scripted events or boss fights, which are disappointing.

    Pros:
    + Addictive gameplay
    + Serviceable characters
    + Great atmosphere
    + Fantastic visuals & audio

    Cons:
    - Puzzles are lacking
    - Short run-time
    - Nemesis & boss fights

Resident Evil 3 might be a weak Remake but it's actually a good game on it's own, despite mostly feeling like it's an overglorified DLC for Resident Evil 2.

    Do I recommend it?:
To be honest, I'd recommend playing Resident Evil 2 instead, but if you already played Resident Evil 2 before, I'd recommend Resident Evil 3 at low price.
Resident Evil 2 does everything Resident Evil 3 does, but better.

It's not a bad game just a bad remake! So much cut content, Clock Tower, the Grave Digger, etc. And the worst part is how they did Nemesis, he only chases you around in the first part of the game, and then he only appears in scripted moments, especially during the game’s second half. If you've never played the OG RE3 then you'll love this game.

Kinda what I expected, is not as bad as some people say it is, however it was definitely not worth the full price since is VERY SHORT and has no replayabilty, it could ve been more open and better, yes, it could ve been more fun gameplay wise. This is in between re2 and re4 and has little stuff from each one of them, its not as restrained as re2 but its neither as fun as re4.

It just can't compete with the RE2 Remake as it feels like less of a complete experience overall. It's so strange they cut the clock tower portion of the game considering they had the police station already built from RE2 Remake. Kind of feels lazy. It's fun to play - no doubt! As it's more action focused and includes a dodge, but pick it up on a heavy sale.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I understand why people feel disappointed with this game, but i liked it. It gave me pretty good scares, the. Nemesis at the downtown was terrifying with his new design, even though that he goes down by one grenade. But if you play it on nightmare or inferno there will be a small chance that you will even get a grenade because you have to use them against the other monsters. I love this version of Jill and Carlos too!.

Literally every encounter i had with the nemesis was terrifying. And they should have included the clock tower.

I really think that they could have done way better with this game but unfortunately no.

This game is a solid 7.9/10.

And btw when the nemesis turned into that dog thing he wasn't even scary. But when he turned into that giant thingh in the end, he was a little scary... Just a bit.

RE3remake however, was a disappointment. I did not feel like the game is shorter than RE2remake as everyone said (it has only 1 character but the time of 1 playthrough is not much different). The main problem is that the atmosphere of suvival horror is gone !. Jill and Carlos felt like they are storming the place rather than find a way to survive. Especially, on Carlos campaign, zombie horde is just too many and felt tiresome to kill. Devs here had misunderstanding the charm of RE. The excitement did not came for shooting zombies, but the atmosphere and the shortage of ammo. 2 zombiles with only have 5 ammo handgun left are much more horror than 5-6 zombiles with your 100 ammo assault rifle. Too many ammo has giving in standard, but the game is still more difficult than RE2 in enemy placements and nasty attack (1hit kill) from some enemies.

Moreover, Nemesis is even more destroying atmosphere. When it comes, it breaks immesion of horror survival entirely. Because we knew it was scripted. It is becoming annoying, rather than fear like Mr.X. Because for Mr.X, you don't know where he is, when he will appear, and everytime he comes, you will hear foot step first, so you get pressure to do things quickly. When Nemesis come, the game become like super soilder vs monster instead, full mode action game. Cutscenes with Nemesis also felt very unrealistic. In reality, Jill should have died too many times or at least got some broken ribs.

Anyway, the game is still fun in some sections I have to give them that. I might give 7/10 if it is not named RE. Jill is pretty much felt like Lara Croft to me. Story is not as good as RE2remake either. It is sadly a disgrace in remake series.

However, it fails to be better than, if not as good than either of them. If I didn't know any better, I'd say this is a Resident Evil 2 Remake DLC. That's how half ass it feels. A **** load of content was removed that was in the original. I was looking forward to the park and exploring the clock tower whch were really important levels in the orignal game. I get there are some interesting new ideas but cutting great content that made the game great shouldn't have been an options. Moving on to the gameplay aspects of things let's talk about Nemesis first. I keep hearing mixed perceptions on him but my opinion on Nemesis is that he's **** ass and he's barely terrifying . In this he don't even live up to his name. He's heavily **** scripted. The big guy only makes an appearance when you do something. Mr. X from RE2 actually searched the precinct for you and although he was slower and didn't use weapons he felt more scarier because you know he was mostly always there looking for you. I realize Nemesis was scripted in the original but it was down better because he felt like more of monster than an annoyance. Boss fights with Nemesis are horribly done. The first fight was ok. The scenery of the construction site being in gulfed in flames while taking on Nemesis was awesome. Although fighting him felt more like a tom and jerry cat and mouse situation. But next fight was poorly designed. For some reason all of a sudden fire affects him. So he falls into the water and mutates into a hugh reptile thing??? When fighting him I died like four times. He was lighting this larger **** up with mines and fire rounds he wouldn't go down. I eventually got passed it, but that boss fight was poorly integrated. The enemies are pretty rough but that's expected for a Resident Evil game. However what really annoys me is that when Jill will be in dark ass areas and not turn her damn flash light. So I'm always getting nabbed because I can't see what's coming until the last minute. If you seen my streams you would know how much this pissed me off. I literally was about to take a whole entire **** point off for this **** Jesus **** Christ! The length of the campaign 5-6 hours? Like what the **** Really Capcom this is what you call a $60 game? Ok beforeI blow a blood vessel let's talk about a few thing I like. Jill and Carlos are awesome characters. Jill is well designed, she's beautiful, well acted and an all around down to earth despites what's going on. Carlos is **** hilarious with his one liners. Although Jill constantly shoots him down when he shoots his shot his confidence never waivers. And he's kind of like a superhero. The storyline really makes you wanna read on the missing documents especially in the U.S.B.C I hope I'm getting their acronym right. The zombies come in a lot of packs, so you better bust your gun. Don't bother trying to run past them if there's more than 3 coming towards you. I had to constantly learn that the hard way. There are also new enemies like the hunter B, these sewer monsters that will eat you whole if you get too close and these insects from the original game that will put their maggots down your throat. LOL wow... Racoon City seems has a more simplistic design in this one, but it does look stunning. And nice to see that back tracking is still nicely designed and shows it could still work newer in games. However, the environments streets are blocked off by cars and barrucades and are narrow so running away like I said is barely an option. But it was pretty much like this in the original so I'll give them that one. While this game has quite a few redeeming factors it still feels like they rushed the game and literally started on it after finishing RE2 Remake which was a year ago and it's feel so inconsistent. That being said I'm rating it a 6.5/10. At first I was going to give it a 7. But bringing up all this made me realize it isn't a 7. It's hard to believe IGN gave this a 9... For me to give a game a 7 it has to at least feel like it was worth $60 bucks. RE3 Remake wasn't. I love Resident Evil. But Capcom needs to stop rushing it's titles and bringing ideas no one asked for. Expand

No idea what happened but let's just say capcom got greedy and went back to making cash grabs. And this really wasn't ok. They did such a great job with re2 so this really is very sad. It's an expensive but short game with little replay.

It looks ok but if you've played a real game like re2 or the excellent days gone. That's a flawed but a huge game with endless variety and end game content. The zombies on re3 are basically rubbish and much of the game is scripted.

Way too much time or money was devoted to the microtransactions heavy online multiplayer rubbish. And that should upset you as one amazing game has been sacrificed for rubbish which will be canned in a year or two.

Sound is good and gameplay fine just nothing special and it's mostly scripted events. This isn't re2remake. And they cut a fair amount out of the original game for again no good reason.

After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
