    In addition to the fact that I am a fan of westerns, I must say that this game is timeless, all praise for all the efforts of all 1600 developers who worked so hard on this game and invested time.     Simply a masterpiece. One of the greatest games ever created with an insane level of detail that I've yet to see matched even on next-gen consoles. The open world is the most immersive I've ever seen in an open-world game. The story is beautiful as well, with one of my favorite protagonists in gaming. My one major complaint would be the multiplayer experience which Rockstar seems to haveSimply a masterpiece.     The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 feels so alive when you play it. With random events happening all the time as you cross the giant map. The lack of fast travel is a huge bonus as it makes you take in the unique atmosphere of the game. The writing is perfect with a ending that left me sad that it was coming to an end. All the characters felt like live humans doing daily activities and aThe world of Red Dead Redemption 2 feels so alive when you play it.     Visually the game is by far the most stunning I've played so far. Beautiful landscapes, towns, and wildernesses of all types make the game feel alive and real. It's one of the few games that makes you just want to stop and look at how amazing it is. This is easily the game that best shows the natural Beauty of the U.S. Graphically speaking all the animations, tiny details, slice of life moments, etc, all are rendered beautifully and give the world an unmatched sense of reality.

    That world wouldn't be nearly as impressive of course if it was empty...which RDR2's world certainly isn't. Setting main content aside, the amount of secrets, side quests, stories, characters, and more that dot the map is truly insane. There's always something interesting and unique to discover or take part in.

    Speaking of main content. Red Dead's Story might seem long for a game...but is it easily one of the best stories ever told in gaming. The adventures of the Vanderlinde Gang, Dutch's Fall, Micah's betrayal, John's evolution, and Arthur's journey through it all make for a story on par with some of the greatest novels, TV shows, or movies ever made. Beyond the story itself, the writing, character interactions, voice acting, and more all make it a truly unforgettable experience.

    The gameplay is awesome too, with both combat and other forms of gameplay feeling realistic, reactive, and satisfying. Seriously it's just really fun to shoot stuff in this game...or hunt...or fish...etc. The only drawback to it in my opinion is somethings missions are a bit rudimentary in design...essentially with the player being guided on rails non-stop when inside a mission. It contrasts a lot with the very open and choice driven nature of the rest of the game. Mostly a Rockstar thing rather than this game....but honestly this is such a small complaint for me it doesn't matter.

    Overall a brilliant game that I cannot recommend enough.    … Expand

    Visually the game is amazing and its immersive. I am just not sure why it made me feel like going to sleep every time I played it. In terms of game play something I don't see talked about much is how some of the game play such as movement is really bad when crouching and moving between objects, and melee combat is really clunky.     Somehow Rockstar Games made a game where hunting, fishing, riding and being a cowboy in a fictional wild west is extremely fun and entertaining. The storyline is compelling and a great piece of art. If they transfered the same amount of enthusiasm to create and expand the online mode, it would be a thriving world there as well.

    Probably the best story game/action game I have ever played. The character development in this game is the best ever. The gameplays hard hitting drama environment and ability to display a story that conveys such feeling and fun intense action at the same time just makes this game such a must play.

I absolutely adored the game and its story it extremely well written each character is charming in there own way and have so much personality unique to one another. It made them feel like real people and I got invested in them, I would always say "hi" Lenny when entering camp and talk to people because i was invested in them and wanted to know what stories they had to tell. Seeing the absence of plot armour for main characters like Hosea and Lenny was fresh and gave the game's events weight knowing that anybody could die. the ending emotive and compelling and made me tier up three times
    1. one the ride to confront the gang with the song all the characters quotes running through Arthur's head
    2. when my horse died (which i named bluster and was overly attached to
    3.when Arthur died looking at the sunrise
    Dutch's betrayal was progressive and emotive with the glint of the eye and walking away from Micah you could tell that he knew that Arthur wasn't the rat. There was signs of Arthur gaining his wits around Dutch's plans from the very start of the game. It sets up the events of RDR1 brilliantly as well.

    Overall the story is a masterpiece and one of the best I've ever seen in gaming

    The game itself is beautiful and lively (I even have a screenshot of the landscape as my wallpaper), the NPC people were intriguing o talk to like the "veteran" with one arm and the nun in Saint Denis and the French drunk. The combat is gritty and fast-paced and makes you really feel like the sharpest shooter in the west. The customisation of your guns, horse and clothing makes Arthur and the playthrough feel your own knowing that no-body has had the exact same experience as you even if its just cosmetically you feel unique.

    The only part i really feel is bad is the collection mechanics being slow and tedious however that does fit the realistic style of the game i wish it could be faster and this is the only aspect that takes the game from a 10 to a 9

    Overall the gameplay is great and I truly recommend people play the game as it sends you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and ha s a great pay-out being a truly heartfelt ending to Arthurs Journey and along the way you will meet charismatic believable people making the experience richer.

    A much deserved 9.5/10. Great story to follow, but where the game stands alone is the open world. So much to do. I spent over 100 hours on the campaign alone before getting even remotely bored. It starts out a touch slow for my liking, but after the first chapter it picks up full steam and allows the player to explore almost infinitely. Must play.

    My favourite game. If someone asks me a top 3 of all time, i have to include it. I was excited to play the game because it was from rockstar and the western setting intrigued me more than the city setting of GTA. I still remember being hyped before the game's release. i have replayed it twice, something i never do. I also went on to play rdr1 on xbox 360, solidfying red dead redemption asMy favourite game.     The good stuff: This game has so much in it, yet it manages to be perfect in all aspects: multiplayer, gameplay, weapon and clothing customisation, story, music, world, graphics, characters, the animals, the attention to detail, side questions/activities, and historical accuracy.

    What could have been improved: Firstly, Yes some of the controls are questionable, but once you get used to it, you almost never make errors, at least that is the case for me. If i pick it up after playing several other games, I sometimes feel a bit lost or not in control, but after 30 mins it all comes back to me. Secondly, there could have been a little more settlements or less distance between them, but at the same time, it really gives more importance to your horse and eating and staying alert for enemies or random encounters. I also understand that it makes things feel more realistic. Lastly, RDO could have gotten more attention and love from the developers.

    In conclusion: a masterpiece. I give the game a 100/100, nothing has come close to this game even 5 years later. this is what rockstar does i guess.    … Expand

    El mejor videojuego mundo abierto que existe con una historia increíble con un mundo realmente vivo lleno de detalles increíbles y unos personajes de 10 y un protagonista que es de lo mejores que existen teniendo realmente un buen desarrollo, juegazo narrativamente y en jugabilidad te sientes realmente un vaquero.     This is an amazing game! the plot, graphics, gameplay, sound, the surrounding world, absolutely everything is at the highest level! I checked on PS4 FAT and this game is the best in the world!

Nice quality, but very boring in implementation shooting with every gun in the game being pretty much the same with every enemy being a damage sponge untill you start shooting in the head, then everything dies in one shot, and not forgetting the catch all in the form of "time stop" on command. Graphics in the game are very good, if you have a 3070/4060 cards or equivalents with 8gigs of g ram at the minimum. If you don't, you will get gta 5 on medium quality... And finally the story... With every single mission and side quest being go kill X amount of guys, 60-80% of which being just average people that are just doing their jobs, with a rare acception of plantation owners, kkk members and some bandits. Overall the member of a band and the band of selfish thugs itself are just another parasite on the face of the gameworld, that living a care free life at expense of people that they are exploiting around them. AND simultaneously thinking that they are the victims when they get what is coming to them because of their actions. Don't know how about the average player, but i am revolted by the idea of playing as a pathetic leech that thinks it is a victim...… Expand

    Few games can pass me the felling that Red Dead Redemption 2 pass. Only cross the world with your horse and see how the world work's, It's insane.
    The Graphics even in a game from 2018 it's one of the most beautiful that I ever see.
    Gameplay is something that I like, is simple and doesn't have much innovation but, works very well with the game.     Red Dead Redemption 2 is a stunning achievement—a masterclass in both story and gameplay. Many years after release, there are still aspects of this game that other developers would do well to emulate. For my money, this is one of the greatest pieces of interactive storytelling ever created.

    One of the best games I've played, great story-telling gameplay that disappears under this big world and variety of stages and great characters, it's just a part of this game, a masterpiece. The pull of this game should be played, in my opinion, it is worth the money you pay for it

No. Sometimes the overloaded control scheme can be a hassle and more than once did I end up in the situation of not knowing weither I should be angry or laughing my ass off, that the local police decided to reply to my magic trick of defending myself against an armed criminal without even hurting him by opening fire at me.
    But its as    One of the best games I ever played.
    Is it perfect?     Truly a special kind of video game experience, enthralling and beautiful story. Mind blowing detail in it's open world. Only held slightly back by a bland combat system and every mission being a shootout with the end game being just shooting dozens of npcs per mission.

    It’s an huge, outstanding piece of art – worth the hard-earned cash as well as countless hours that are needed to get to know at least some of the attractions of Rockstar’s rendition of Wild West. For those who put story first – the biggest virtue of Red Dead Redemption 2 is that it sets the stage for RDR 1 and does it wonderfully. [13/2018, p.40]
