    The story of this game is just perfect, the characters the settings and the variety of random encounters around the map make this game so intense and immersive like no other.

    this game is my most played game for a reason. The large world it has is full of meningfull things to do and places to discover even ignoring the 10 out of 10 story this game is amazing I am baffled it didn't win game of the year as it is the definition of a masterpiece

    I love the first one, it was so good. I wish I had played it for first again. It has amazing graphics, an open world, way bigger than the first one. Likeable characters, amazing stories, Gun played is a step up with more realistic gun play against the law, mission are amazing

They're so much open space that if you wonder off too far that you'll be left with a ton of empty space that doesn't serve any purpose. The animations also feel a bit too long for my taste.     REAL SCORE 9.5 Red Dead Redemption 2 is an amazing game, one of the best all time IMO. But it has a big problem. The game is that slow that for some moments I felt bored playing it. For the rest of the aspects is a masterpiece(except for its gunplay). Thats why for me it is not a 10 but a 9.5

    Amazing, simply amazing. I'm doubtful that anyone will be able to make this kind of masterpiece in next 5 years, like seriously. Anyone wants to see actual next gen graphics, then play this. Story better than most modern movies, graphics, animations, world design, music, voice acting, everything is literally 10/10.

    This the best play station game I have ever played. Every details you have makes it a masterpiece. The story is movie like and cult one. I loved everything, few lags but compared to all the mechanics of time, the living environment... I have no other to express my admiration about this title but DIVINE.

    I'm in the middle of the game, playing on a desktop computer. There is a lot of tedium. Going from point A to point B frequently takes more time than the actual activity. The voice acting is absolutely awful. Arthur, the main character, sounds like a caricature from a cartoon or a sketch. Most of the others are no better. The accents are just plain wrong.     The visuals are decent although it's clear that there are a few templates that are applied repeatedly. The controls are decent although complex. Sometimes doing something correctly involves finger positions that are impossible for many humans. Also wagon driving at speeds faster than a slow walk is similar to driving the Batmobile in the Batman games. If the route deviates slightly from a straight line be prepared for the controls to be imprecise in the extreme.

    The story seems more like a random series of events than a coherent narrative. The dialogue ranges from inept to moderately interesting.

    I'm going to finish it. I bought it at a deep discount, but it's still enough of an investment that I feel like I have to.    … Expand

    I love cowboys so I already knew I was gonna love this. An 80 hour cowboy game with a deeply immersive world, full to the brim with interactive side quests, a genre defining story and unforgettable characters. At times the world is slightly overwhelming and the controls are clunky but aside from that this game is god damn perfect.

And the fast travel system is antiquated and doesn't respect the time of adult gamers, who may not have as much time to play games. I've missed a lot of good and memorable moments. Like in TLOU you have Joel calling Ellie baby girl and the part that Ellie meets up with Joel. But with Red Dead 2 you have just mindless shooting at your enemy because they startI tried, so so hard to love this game but I just couldn't. It just didn't click for me.     Holy cow. I don't know what to say. Best character development, best gameplay, best graphics. Only thing we can consider as a bad part is that some animations are too long because of the realism. That's not a big deal. You should play this game immediately. Trust me, you're gonna love it.

The problem is that once you let the graphics aside,This has been my greatest disappointment of PS4 generation. I've played it on 2022 on a PS5. Maybe for that reason the graphics didn't blow my mind, comparing to more recent games. But that's not the problem. Graphics are good even now, and it's easy to understand that back on the day it was released people thought they were amazing. The problem is that once you let the graphics aside, there's nothing else into this game.

    First of all, the controls feel slow and clumsy. That makes the experience uncomfortable, and the feeling doesn't go away after hours and hours of gameplay: you never get used to it. Besides, many actions require stupid button combinations that other games solve in a much simpler way. C'mon, why would I need to hold L2 while I choose an action with another button just to choose what do I want to say to an NPC? Instead of changing to the dialogue menu, as everybody else does? That's not innovative, is making complex a simple thing. The same goes for the menus. I've seen simpler menus to choose what magic, among all, do I want to use on FFVII Remake, for example, than to choose what medicine should I use on RDR2.

    And here cames the worst: the game is terribly boring. It's like the creators didn't want you to play it, but just to sit down and watch it like a film. I really love single player narrative games, but most of them (Horizon saga, GOW, Uncharted saga, ...) try to involve the player to PLAY a story, giving that "play" part the importance it deserves. Here, it's more like if you have to make a constant effort to let the anti-player-quality-of-life mechanics pass. For example, if you fail a mission, you will start it again from the very beggining, because there is no autosave during missions, nor any chance to manually save your progress. Now, think of a mission that lasts, let's say 40 minutes, where everything gets more difficult during the last 10 minutes. You'll have to repeat every part, including cinematic sequences (some you can skip, some you can't). That doesn't make the game more difficult -just more tedious.

    When it cames to the story, I think it's well told, but the rythm is too slow. It's just as if there was the intention to make it long with content that is not that interesting. That makes the story interesting at some key moments, but too irregular. I didn't feel close to the characters at all, but this last point could be just me, and with no doubt the anti-plyer-quality-of-life mechanics I talked about didn't make me be in the best mood to feel close to anything in the game.

    To sum up, I had really high expectations for this game because of the high rating, the GOTY and all, and it totally let me down. I tried to enjoy it, really tried it because once you spend the money you want to make it count, but I ended up focussing on finishing it as quick as possible to pass to a more enjoyable game.    … Expand

    Jamás he visto un juego con tanto nivel de detalle en todo. Podría ser perfecto... si no fuera porque le sobran un buen puñado de horas y el input lag que tiene (como en todos los juegos de Rockstar) es terrible hasta que te acostumbras. El epílogo sobra por completo. A qué esperan a lanzar un parche para nueva generación?

    I spent a lot of time talking to my friends about this game. I went through twice it, watched so many videos about making this game, and tons of material analyzing it. A pure masterpiece. The game of my life. Love it. Everything in Red Dead Redemption 2 is wonderful.

    He de decir que me decepcionó un poco, quizá por las altas opiniones de la gente. Me explico: el juego es una pasada, muy bien hecho, con misiones en todas las esquinas, todo muy detallado (como la caza, variedad de animales, etc), pero con el paso de misiones y misiones se me hizo un poco pesado, no llegué a "conectar" con las emociones de los personajes. A pesar de ello, juegazo.

    É um jogo ótimo, história impactante, gráficos lindos, jogabilidade muito boa, porém não é tudo o que dizem, apesar de todos os detalhes, como a física ótima, ou o crescimento de cabelo e barba, por exemplo, ainda não é o "melhor jogo do mundo" como dizem.

    De fato, não é um jogo para todos. É um dos jogos mais realistas de forma gráfica e mecânica que eu já joguei, e isso para o meu gosto é espetacular. O protagonista desse jogo é de outro nível, um protagonista com muitas camadas e que surpreende a cada momento. Uma das historias mais emocionantes de um game. Saindo do enredo, e indo para o mundo aberto e as questões técnicas... O mundo aberto do jogo é o mundo aberto mais lindo e vivo que já vi em um jogo. As coisas acontecem naturalmente e os NPCs são muito interativos e únicos. O gráfico do mapa é de brilhar os olhos em todos os aspectos, fui conferir o tamanho do mapa real e vi que ele não é tão grande quanto falam, mas a impressão que o jogo passa é que ele é enorme. E isso é ótimo, pois o game sabe diferenciar cada bioma e nenhuma área do jogo é repetida, e é repleto de mistérios e eventos acontecendo. Uma das minhas únicas críticas negativas para esse jogo é que o jogo não tem muitas atividades secundárias depois de finalizar a história.     Best game ever hands down. Blows overrated pixel merchant games like Zelda out of the water. 100x better than any Nintendo game ever made and also 1000x better than the new sonic game. This was the peak of gaming and nothing will ever top it. There isn't even much point buying any other games because nothing will come close.

    Could not get into this game. Tried playing 2 different times and could only get a few hours in. I know some games take more time to develop but the gameplay was just okay and not good enough to keep me interested.

    This is one of the greatest story's and maybe one of the most memorable protagonist in this generation the game feels endless and after playing for over 150 hours it still has this feel to it.
    I did find the main character to be a bit overpowered in game but I guess they have to way up the fun factor.

The game is perfect in whole lot of levels it's just perfect the world the story the characters especially Arthur Morgan and Dutch Vanderlinde the gameplay is great shooting in this game is probably the best with great weapons and the weapons feels great and has a good recoil also the missions and activites are really the best part after the world of the game and Arthur Morgan feels so real and honestly he's my favorite character in all media because he has too much arcs the first arc when he does horrible things and doesn't care much and then he relises that he's acts will follow him and the TB arc and redemption arc and he's death makes he's character so perfect and Rockstar's best character in Rockstar's best game… Expand

    It’s an huge, outstanding piece of art – worth the hard-earned cash as well as countless hours that are needed to get to know at least some of the attractions of Rockstar’s rendition of Wild West. For those who put story first – the biggest virtue of Red Dead Redemption 2 is that it sets the stage for RDR 1 and does it wonderfully. [13/2018, p.40]
