    A very high-quality and cool game. The realism is quite high. The plot is interesting. Live game world. There is something to do in the game even without the main storyline. The disadvantages are subjective and not critical.
    The game is too casual, yes, this is the framework of the genre, but for me personally, such a low difficulty reduces my interest. Sometimes the fetch quests are annoying.

    i love this game. like, the gta series is boring for me. in their game series something was missing. and i know what - the realism. i love how rdr 2 gives you 100 times more ways to spend time in game, unlike gta sa or gta v. this slow world is not hurrying to live. so this gives me a really good atmosphere, which was expanded with soundtracks, quests., characters, and most importantly -i love this game. like, the gta series is boring for me. in their game series something was missing. and i know what - the realism. i love how rdr 2 gives you 100 times more ways to spend time in game, unlike gta sa or gta v. this slow world is not hurrying to live. so this gives me a really good atmosphere, which was expanded with soundtracks, quests., characters, and most importantly - story. that story isn't fantastic, like they all is very successful members of gang. so, if u love chill games - you should try it… Expand

    It is surely on the top 3 games ever released for the story, the gameplay, the level of immersion, the realism, the amount of detail and the relationships between characters. Arthur Morgan and the other gang members feel alive, as if they were real persons. If you did not cry at the end of the game - you have no soul.

    I have come back to try this game over and over again and I just can't bring myself to finish this game. The graphics are beautiful, sure, but the gameplay is below average. Every mission plays out exactly the same, R* uses these bland missions to progress the story but it simply just doesn't work.     It took me three tries to get into this game. The first time I gave up and moved on to something else after the trip down the mountain/broken wheel section. The second time I made it to when Dutch and Arthur enter Saint Denis. The third time, though, was the charm. I restarted the game from scratch, paid attention to the dialogue, and became wrapped.

One of the reasons I quit the second time is because my horse was crashing into things every other time and causing me to fail missions, get arrested, die, or piss off a stranger into shooting me.     Visually the game is by far the most stunning I've played so far. Beautiful landscapes, towns, and wildernesses of all types make the game feel alive and real. It's one of the few games that makes you just want to stop and look at how amazing it is. This is easily the game that best shows the natural Beauty of the U.S. Graphically speaking all the animations, tiny details, slice of life moments, etc, all are rendered beautifully and give the world an unmatched sense of reality.

    That world wouldn't be nearly as impressive of course if it was empty...which RDR2's world certainly isn't. Setting main content aside, the amount of secrets, side quests, stories, characters, and more that dot the map is truly insane. There's always something interesting and unique to discover or take part in.

    Speaking of main content. Red Dead's Story might seem long for a game...but is it easily one of the best stories ever told in gaming. The adventures of the Vanderlinde Gang, Dutch's Fall, Micah's betrayal, John's evolution, and Arthur's journey through it all make for a story on par with some of the greatest novels, TV shows, or movies ever made. Beyond the story itself, the writing, character interactions, voice acting, and more all make it a truly unforgettable experience.

    The gameplay is awesome too, with both combat and other forms of gameplay feeling realistic, reactive, and satisfying. Seriously it's just really fun to shoot stuff in this game...or hunt...or fish...etc. The only drawback to it in my opinion is somethings missions are a bit rudimentary in design...essentially with the player being guided on rails non-stop when inside a mission. It contrasts a lot with the very open and choice driven nature of the rest of the game. Mostly a Rockstar thing rather than this game....but honestly this is such a small complaint for me it doesn't matter.

Gameplay and world building is a strong feature in this game and the graphics are the most realistic in a video game yet. Each of the characters have diverse opinions and features that make them stand out from the crowd. The storyline is memorable and can be considered one of the best that any video game has to offer. Highly recommend. Very rarely does a video game do so many things well from its diverse open world to intriguing characters, good game! im just not really feeling the old western vibe anymore and i kinda got bored aft playing it once so i just completely stopped my second playthrough which may have smth to say abt the replayability. overall not too bad. The game has some quests that are a real mixed bag and can be quite boring sometimes, but when the action is ongoing it can be a really immersive and entertaining game.… Expand

    Let's see what they have done!
    Starting off with the story, which is undoubtedly one the best written stories in a videogame I've ever witnessed; it's slow in the beginning but it gets much better afterwards and it's an unbelievably immersive and emotional journey with impressive character depth. The gameplay is varied and it feels amazing, however,    It's been 8 years and it's finally here.
    Let's see what they have done!
    Starting off with the story, which is undoubtedly one the best written stories in a videogame I've ever witnessed; it's slow in the beginning but it gets much better afterwards and it's an unbelievably immersive and emotional journey with impressive character depth.
    The gameplay is varied and it feels amazing, however, the shooting mechanics and the controls could've been better; they feel dated, slow and hard to get used to.
    The characters are some of the best I've seen in a videogame. Each one of them has his/her own personality and story, and the acting and dialogue are perfect.
    Also, the attention to detail and realism in this game is absolutely staggering, to the point where they make the game feel slightly tedious at times, but thankfully, it's not a big deal for me.
    The animations are breathtaking, the graphics are among the best I've seen in an Open World game, and even minor things like the horse mechanics are definitely some of the best I've seen in a video game, for sure.
    Lastly, the soundtrack is wonderful and the world itself is both massive and beautiful in every single way, and it's full of great landscapes and locations to discover.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is one the best videogames I've ever played and while it has some serious flaws that I can definitely see why some people will feel disappointed with the game, everything else aside from these flaws in this game is so goddamn good, it made me fall in love with the game more than most of the games I've played in my life so far.

    Haven't played the first game, but sure as hell I love this one. I have over 400 hours in the game. It is very detailed, slow and enjoyable western shooter game.     There is so much attention to detail in this game. The physics are godly. If you run towards a tree with a horse, the player and the horse will crash and fall. The horse can also lose balance and trip if you put it next to the edge. The mud and snow physics are so immersive. There are so many customization options. Lots of animals to hunt with detailed skinning animations. The hand-to-hand combat is great. There is so many things to do in the open world, like fishing, poker, dominoes, interact with NPCs, cause mayhem, and much more.

    The online multiplayer isn't available yet but it will be coming soon. I am fully satisfied with the singleplayer, and the fact that the developers are adding multiplayer to this masterpiece is biblical. There is so much content in this game, I can wait for the multiplayer. I strongly recommend you get this game now. This game puts most "AAA" games to shame. This is the greatest game of this generation.

    Edit: I see that Rockstar likes to make stupid changes to their old games like GTA 5 Online, so allow me to do the same with this game regarding the score. No longer a 10, it's a 9. Let me be perfectly clear Rockstar, I only gave you a 10 because back in 2018 I had to find a game on Playstation to score a 10 so these developers wouldn't think I'm some Xbox fanboy for giving Forza a 10. Well I hope the developers see this, because I absolutely hate Xbox and Playstation has always been my main console since its debut. Anyway does this deserve a 10? Close, but no cigar. This game is indeed biblical and it has everything I could ever ask for in a full priced AAA open world game, but Dan Houser can't resist his obsession with movies and storytelling. If they were to cut down a bit on this movie stuff or make a biblical multiplayer experience, this would easily remain a 10. To this day, RDR2 is still jaw-dropping. Another criticism I have, where is the freaking next-gen version Rockstar? Jesus Christ are these developers so lazy. Ubisoft can give me PS5 upgrades for free.     TBH after several hours of gameplay the game seems kinda boring. Too many systems to learn, too many shortcuts to memorize. I don't really care about the characters and the story.
    However the most annoying thing is the rockstar launcher that is launched by the epic launcher. So there are 2 launchers starting just to play the game.

Its so patient and deliberate, so focused on selling the immersion of the setting, that I get distracted, lose track of the plot, and eventually fizzle out.     Despire combat feeling repetitive at times and AI not being the best, it's difficult to give this game a score lower than 10. It's simply a masterpiece that Rockstar clearly went all out on. Story, score, graphics, and the variety of things to do makes this game an unforgettanle experience.

This game is a masterpiece,it makes everything good enough, ı played this game 600 hours and completed %100 and ı can tell ı dont even bored 1 second, but nowadays the game has so many bugs, it's the only thing this game does negative, and ı always wish this game had dlc, undead nightmare or orther characters story, but they don't even fix the game soonly game will be crawling with the bugs if they don't fix.… Expand

    It’s an huge, outstanding piece of art – worth the hard-earned cash as well as countless hours that are needed to get to know at least some of the attractions of Rockstar’s rendition of Wild West. For those who put story first – the biggest virtue of Red Dead Redemption 2 is that it sets the stage for RDR 1 and does it wonderfully. [13/2018, p.40]

    Amazing not only for Western lovers. No other game has probably offered so many options to express yourself in the open world, and at the same time did not have such an interesting, rough and moving story. A magnificent experience, with a slightly slower start. [Issue#291]
