Quake is another awesome 3d first person shooter from its time period that has awesome level design and rewarding exploration. It holds up pretty well and is still quite fun although the levels get kind of repetitive since there's not too much enemy variety or gameplay variety in the game.

What the hell is wrong with the aim responsecurve and why isnt it fixed even after half year. Completely unplayable. First 10% of turning makes it turn 100% and the rest 90% of the thumbstick movement does nothing. What kind on mentally handicapped **** is this. Why not just make it fully linear if the devs are incompetent or lazy. Its the best thing if there isnt any options.
    EDIT: this

EDIT: this used to be unplayable 0. It has improved a lot, but still aiming is problem. if i set deadzone to zero then it just moves it to outer deazone to about 20%. What is the purpose of that. Still 10x better than before.

Apart from being repeatedly blasted to atoms by the pros, I enjoyed my time with Quake. It doesn’t have the same nostalgic pull for me that Doom does, which may contribute to a sense that it’s Doom’s less charismatic relative. That said, it’s a remaster done correctly, feeling like the original with technical improvements that help to showcase its timeless, quick and smooth gameplay.

I’m just about beside myself with how cool and surprising of a release Quake Remastered is. I hope we’ll see the same treatment for Quake II down the road, but wow it’s really special to see this classic revitalized and given such good treatment in the process. Bravo to Bethesda, id, and Nightdive for doing such a great job with this release and offering it up to the masses at a price (just $10!) that you shouldn’t miss.

Quake finally gets the love it deserves after twenty-five years in the dark, with by far the most comprehensive remastered collection to date. Modernised without losing anything in the process, Night Dive have created something special by not only bringing the core experience back, but with all the expansions, new episodes, and a boatload of features that players can tune to their liking. This release takes an important yet aging technical milestone and turns it into an essential experience that is both worthy of a new audience and the embrace of old fans.
