Jun 4, 2014For a paying chess game, I would expect a few more options. By far the worst part of the game is the fact you cannot play opponent with a time limit. They can take days to move. Fix that and I'd give it an 8

May 25, 2014same old game same old dance. I love chess but the online oppents makes this game a 4. Either you get some one who doesn't know what is what or some one who plays a move every hours or so.

Jan 4, 2019This is a beautiful game with nice relaxing music en great graphics. But playing online with a human opponent is just dreadful because there is no clock, so players can take days to make a move and often times they even cancel the game halfway through and there is no way for you to claim the win!

Jun 8, 2014Pure Chess looks gorgeous, and offers an excellent single-player experience. But while playing the AI opponent is fun, the game's woefully underdeveloped online mode makes playing against humans decidedly not.

Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaMay 17, 2014Solo players might enjoy this, as long as they don't stray online. [June 2014, p82]

May 9, 2014Nevertheless, if you haven’t played the PS3 or Vita versions, and you’re eager to enjoy some virtual chess, then this is the best option currently available, as it really looks sensational.
