    Persona 5's presentation is beautiful, the game is super aesthetic and the developers really used its theme to perfection. The gameplay is just as good and even improved the already perfect P4G gameplay. Excellent voice acting and finally the option to play with the Japanese audio. I also loved the soundtrack as much as every other Persona's soundtrack.

    The things I did not like about this game were some of the party members not being very memorable or interesting unlike all of the P4G cast and some details about the story. But that isn't really a deal-breaker. This game is one of the finest in the whole series and I'm happy it brought more new members to the community. including people who didn't even like JRPGs before.     Persona 5 is a colossal game, blending dungeon adventures with a life simulator to provide a perfectly paced experience that I expect to return to every couple of years. The art style and music add to create a stylish experience with the heart felt plot and fantastic voice acting giving you a great incentive to see it through to the end.

    Una Joya de los Jrpg. Que cosas tan buenas tienen esta saga. Juegos Largos para disfrutar, personajes inolvidables de los cuales te sientes indentificado, Un estilo unico, un soundtrack espectacular, una historia que de prinicipio a fin te tiene enganchado.

    Persona 5 has great concepts/ideas and somewhat "decent" execution. It's the first Persona game I've played following by Persona 3 and Persona 4. Persona 5 starts off strong but as the game's story progress it starts to fall apart. Persona 5 story was stuck between "serious" and "funny" in some parts it want itself to be serious but also want itself to be funny (with anime tropes) this is the biggest cons point in the game. They tackle current social issues (Sexual Harassment, Corruption, Plagiarism, etc.) but instead of make them thoughtful and push these issues to the ultimate climax, they (ATLUS) choose easy way.    … Expand

    Great on so many levels. Has to be a 10. As they remind you throughout, "Take your time". Get in to the flow and you'll pick up the vibe of Tokyo. The most balanced game experience I've ever encountered. JRPG turn based combat, collecting and developing persona traits, the affinity system of relationships with other characters. And to top it off there's the beautiful mundane of living in aGreat on so many levels. Has to be a 10. As they remind you throughout, "Take your time".     My favourite JRPG, the dungeons are incredibly detailed, characters fully fleshed out depending on the time you spend with them to max out your confidant. Turn based combat was actually getting pretty old for me but the way the game combines the real world events with mementos makes it so every choice you make matter to make both your Personas and characters    I should write something.

The player should think carefully because each time the story progresses forward there will be a deadline and you gotta always make sure you use your time efficiently. UI is one of the best i've seen in a game the art style is both colourful and vibrant having a unique and great feel to it.
    The story gets a bit convoluted and kind of a mess towards the final act but it makes up for it with an Awesome final boss battle and a killer ass soundtrack.

    Even if you don't like JRPG'S try out Persona. Trust me, you 'll find something to appreciate.    … Expand

    Absolutely the best jrpg i have played... I was not originally a shin megami tensei series fan bit this game just immediately peaked my interest in that series... And boy was it amazing...

Great mechanics. I only won't rate it higher because, considering the game's grand message, I feel there are some inconsistencies, like: LGBT community is seen as very stereotyped, and women seem to be drawn to men's attention, but you can't expect much for a PS4 game in this area anyway...… Expand

    Persona 5 has fun turn-based combat with great fundamentals that allow simple but different strategies. There are lots of fun activities that you can do such as fishing, spending time with confidants, going to Mementos, trying to eat a very big burger and answering questions in class or during exam periods. It may be difficult to get into at first and overwhelming, but you should embrace it and live the life of a Japanese high school student by day and Phantom Thief by night.

    Jazz is great, and Persona 5's jazz-themed soundtrack is phenomenal, each piece is appropriate to convey the mood of the setting, and most are so groovy and relaxing that you just want to have the game on in the background or tap your foot, bob your head or just straight-up dance in your room.

    Persona 5 is oozing with style, the menu itself has more style than most games. The designs and graphics of Shibuya to the various palaces are pure eye-candy. The cut-ins and persona designs too are quirky and aesthetically pleasing. The animated scenes are great but the 3D scenes using in-game models can feel a bit clunky.

    The story in the game heavily draws themes from various mythologies and religion such as the seven deadly sins to Buddhism, Christianity and Platonism (especially towards the end of the game), as well as the Persona series' signature Major Arcana from the tarot cards. All of this conglomerates into an epic journey to save society from adults that unjustly use their power to control the masses of all forms, to eventually trying to defeat a God. It is ambitious, enthralling and a grand journey to save the world.

    You are given lots of time to learn each of the characters that are represented by a major arcana, that you derive benefits in their confidant in all aspects. Albeit, not all benefits are equal, each character has an interesting and deep story that helps you connect with the humanity in them that is lacking in most modern games. There are substance and flair with each of the characters and you'll either love them all or at least hold most to a considerate degree of reverence.

    Persona 5 is the definitive JRPG experience that will bring you immense enjoyment, immerse you in the world and challenge you to think more about the different persona in people, and in yourself.    … Expand

    I was bored and knew Persona 5 was a good game based off of reviews. I’m not a huge anime fan, or JRPG player. I decided to take a chance and Persona 5 because it had a good sale. I just wish I had spent more money and bought Royal instead. Persona 5 blew my expectations out of the water. I was very rarely bored in the game due to amazing characters and their development.     Persona 5 was my first persona experience (yeah I'm calling it as an experience) and I f*cking loved it. The game is full of characters and every person you meet has their own identity and character. I enjoy while trying to make and strengthen my bond wit them. With its unique turn-based combat system, battles in Persona 5 never feel boring. An absolute must-play.

    It does everything else that it tries to amazingly well:
    - Gameplay is top notch, fun and satisfying, puts a lot of turn based games to shame
    - Characters are unique and diverse while useful, allowing you to play with your favorites freely
    - Customization of demons and skills is through the roof
    - All palaces are interesting and unique, even the most uninspired ones
    - Almost all social confidants, and the variety of them, will give people something to look forward to after the fighting is over
    - Over 80 hours of content, more if you shoot towards the platinum trophy, reaching around 150
    - The soundtrack is phenomenal (albeit overplayed by content creators), everything from relaxing music, pensive music, fighting music and character themes are executed flawlessly, giving a superb flair of style while also making it feel like a game and not an anime

    I could go on, and I'll surely remember other good points about this game. It's a must buy for rpg fans, jrpg fans, and turn-based fans.    … Expand

    I've just completed the game. Having never played a JRPG before i was very unsure if i would enjoy the experience, having heard very good things about the game i decided to try it. WOW it hooked me & i feel in love with it! I'm already planning my second playthrough!

    Simply fantastic. I love how various is the combat system and game mechanics,the story is incredible and hypnotize you from the very start. A little masterpiece for PS4 and for me is in the top 3 Exclusives ever.

    Es muy bueno el juego en si, es uno de los mejores juegos q jugue,talvez el 4 tenga una historia más interesante pero el gameplay y la música es genial. Lo que le faltaria para que ponga un 10 sería más eventos sociales con el grupo en si y que las relaciones no sean "secretas", osea que ninguno de los otros personajes sepa Con quien te relacionas

One thing that I think bad is DLC to make Persona 5 Royal has not been released (This is why I score 9 instead of 10). Still I cannot understand why. I'm sure that nobody cannot understand except marketing people in the publishing company.

    It's a nice game, but it is not for everyone. I wish someone have told me that before I bought it. Graphics are not on a level you expect from a game with such a score. The sound is on the same level as graphics. Gameplay is slow, but that's how it should be for a game like that. The story is the magical thing that keeps you playing the game.

    Greatest JRPG of the generation. The art, the music, the stylish nature of even the menus. The only issues I had with the game were with some quality of life choices & and the the most despicable adult you deal with is Kamoshida. I'm not saying the other guys aren't terrible people but it never felt as personal as it did in the first dungeon.

    When i first came into the JRPG world, i was honestly afraid of whether i would be able to get used to the battle tactics of the persona series. But looking back at it now, Persona 5 is by far the most intriguing and more or less complete rpg game I've ever gotten my hands on. I agree that its very slow in the first 20 or so hours but after that, you'll be begging for more.

    A really solid JRPG overall. The reason that I couldn't give it a 10 is that, I find the pace of the game is a bit slow at times and the dungeon gets a bit repetitive.

    Definitely one of my favorite PS4 games. Not a huge JRPG fan but this game was awesome. The battles are super fun. The story is interesting. Only negative point that comes to my mind is that the game itself is too long.

    First of all, the story is fantastic! It's extremely long, it takes at least 80 hours to finish but it's very well written and fun to go through, thanks to the surprising amount of plot twists and turns.
    Gameplay-wise, it's quite challenging but very addictive; in fact, the    Persona 5 was the first JRPG I've played in my life and it pretty much changed my thoughts torwards the JRPG genre.
    First of all, the story is fantastic! It's extremely long, it takes at least 80 hours to finish but it's very well written and fun to go through, thanks to the surprising amount of plot twists and turns.
    Gameplay-wise, it's quite challenging but very addictive; in fact, the whole game is one of the most addictive single-player videogames I've played in a while! I could play for 5+ hours straight and feel that it wasn't enough.
    The combat is turn based and you can control every character from your party. You can use various type of attacks, items, mechanics, and Persona attacks while spending HP or SP (stamina) with each one of the characters.
    By the way, when you knock down all the targets, you can use an All-Out Attack, but you can also have conversation with the targets instead, in order to collect them as Personas or steal. All those mechanics are wonderful.
    The cast is definitely one of my absolute favorites in a videogame so far.
    Also, I cannot praise enough how impressive the soundtrack and the art style of the game are; they're absolutely god-tier!
    Lastly, during free roam, you can basically do whatever you can do in real life in order to improve your social stats that affect your relationships you make with the other characters.
    However, the story has some pacing issues and the freedom you're given outside of the metaverse feels quite limited.

    + Very addictive gameplay
    + Excellent characters
    + Awesome mechanics
    + Godlike soundtrack and art style

    - Minor pacing issues

    It is a really good game, with a lot to do, the only thing that messed it a bit for me is that i wasn't too invested in the story or gameplay to dedicate so many hours to the progress of the game, nevertheless, an amazing game that anyone should at least try.

    I cannot understand why this game is so highly praised … there are parts of the game where for hours nothing interesting happening. The combat is so boring and the length of the game makes it even more tedious. After 60 hours I just gave up out of boredom

    This game is pure perfection. Everything is done masterfully. It has the best characters I ever saw on any kind of media, the art style is the best one I saw, the soundtrack is perfect, and the story is divine. It's the best ps4 exclusive, by a mile, and also the best game I played (tying with p5r, p5s, p5d, p3d, p3fes and p4g). Yeah, I really love this franchise.

    It's a game that you can play just by purchasing PS5 and becoming a plus member. I can't believe such a great game.     the Japanese again tried their best this game became popular even beyond the RPG community the first moments were similar to the four, but simplified and sometimes even improved Persians are good as in the previous parts I advise you to get familiar with the game from this part, because persona 3 is an old four for advanced players and a five just for beginners

    Disadvantages: boring mementos, Okumura's palace, annoying Okumura story arc.

    My only complaint is that this game is far too long. I've got nothing against long games, but near 100 hours is too much in my opinion. If it was a bit shorter I would probably give it a 10, but it started to drag towards the end.

    After almost 10 years from 4, Persona 5 is the resurrection of a master series. Great story, and character development. If it wasn't for Royal, which stepped up everything that could be stepped up, it would be easily a 10 for me. It deserves a chance to experience it even if you are not a fun of the genre!

    Love the Persona series, and 5 did not disappoint. Colorful cast of characters, excellent Persona compendium per usual along with great gameplay and plot. Had so much fun playing this and the dialogue between characters is hilarious. Also enjoy how you can build relationships with people.

    One of the best JRPG's of all time. Persona 5 was the first JRPG i have ever played and i F**KIN loved it. I played Persona 5 Royal more but i would recommend Persona 5 Royal AFTER playing Persona 5 because you will notice the changes.

Fun game with a great mix of challenge. Colorful and fantastical presentation, some cringe worth and silly dialogue, but hey they are a bunch of teens and adults trying to sound cool in front of said teens. The issues I have is the third act falls apart before and after the climax, the need for Atlus to make replay-ability like its predecessors. Only issue with that is they did not make any other reason, to do so, like other games in which you get different plot lines, alternate endings strictly for completing it multiple times, like Nier Automata or hell even New Gundam Breaker. The sole reason to complete it again is for the different personas, but then you realize, you have played the same dungeons, same side quest, four to five times for personas to beat the same dungeons and bosses you have already beaten several times before. The game is far from perfect, but it is still an awesome game.… Expand

    This game is a huge inspiration to me. The brilliant artwork and music are the perfect topping for the extremely enjoyable story and gameplay. The rpg elements are so smooth and fun, with the quick load-times and extreme customizability. The characters are all great, which is important because the whole game is based around the characters and their struggles. Overall a must play for any rpg fan.

    I very much enjoyed this game. I haven't played a persona game since the very first one, long long ago. There were some noticeable call backs, but the story was unique. The music was excellent, the game mechanics were not too complex, and the story was quite a fun romp. I don't play as many JRPGs as I used to, and I am glad that I decided to give this one a try.

    I have a strong love-hate relationship with this game. It has fun style, and plays a lot like a Final Fantasy game. The music is initially catchy, but quickly becomes obnoxious. The game has some long segments between save points, and difficulty spikes in combat can be very frustrating.

    Persona 5 is an absolutely amazing game that convinces with its art style, music and story. It has anything one could ask for such a game and more. The turn-based battle system offers a wide array of opportunities. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it is definitely recommended to give it a go.
