    As someone who is a huge JRPG fan, I've always been interested in Persona 5 but hadn't played it until we were in a game store and I decided to give it a shot. Now this is my first Persona game, and holy crap it was amazing. The style of this game is wonderful, the Personas are all very unique and interesting along with all of the party member from the phantom thieves. The voice acting inAs someone who is a huge JRPG fan, I've always been interested in Persona 5 but hadn't played it until we were in a game store and I decided to give it a shot. Now this is my first Persona game, and holy crap it was amazing. The style of this game is wonderful, the Personas are all very unique and interesting along with all of the party member from the phantom thieves. The voice acting in this game is wonderful (Both Japanese and English). The characters are all charming and love able, especially Ryuji. I found myself wanting to spend the most time with Ryuji and building up the confidant ranking between me and him. Speaking of spending time in this game, there is so much freaking stuff to do within the real world when not at school or inside a palace. You do have to carefully decide how you will be spending your time during the day though since there is only so much time in a day, and later on depending on confidant rankings you can unlock ways to have more time in a day to do certain things, and when your not in the real world you'll be invading the palaces in the game, which are a persons distorted heart and desires and they are absolutely wonderful and very creative, from invading a castle, to a bank, a Egyptian tomb and more. You can also spend your time in a world called mementos which is the everyone in the city of Shibuya's distorted hearts and desires which is comprised of randomly generated levels that are a very good way to grind to level up your party members. Overall this game rules and i easily found myself invested in it the moment i picked up the game, if you've been on the fence about Persona I'd say absolutely go for it and give it a try!… Expand

    An amazing JPRG that is solid. A pity its a ps4 exclusive, but it's a very enjoyable one. For those who havent got it yet, just hold purchase until the Persona5 Royal gets released, it will be a far more complete game.

    The story is very interesting and detailed, characters are unique and fit perfectly within their roles as each of them have their own personas alongside their personalities which relate to them. Never played a turn-based JRPG before, but this really is worth a play. Recommended from my friend prqdgy

    Best JPRG in recent memory.

    Only gripe is the pacing but this is a hybrid sort of dating sim with dungeon crawling so story and character development is vital. I take it like an anime where a character is introduced, then that person's back story then their current predicament. Social links where great, giving you recent why cultivate your relationship with other characters and    Best JPRG in recent memory.

    Battle system and music were great. But they should realize they have to change the generic battle music after 100 hours into the game which is a common JRPG criticism.

    Despite the 10/10, this game isn't perfect. The story really drags around the 5th palace and the characters aren't as deep as the ones in Persona 4. But so much about this game is fantastic to the point where I don't care. The characters are still fantastic, the gameplay is fun, the story is great, music is breathtaking, visuals are gorgeous.

    Masterpiece, at least. Can't be sure that any JRPG is able to be even equal with this game nowadays. 140 hours of true joy and satisfaction.

    This game isn’t fun. Isn’t for everyone and might seem boring and too long. But I still love this game. Story isn’t interesting for most of time, but isn’t boring too. Dialogues are so natural (especially when you’re high schooler like me). Gameplay is something you probably have seen in other games like old ffs (gameplay, walking and beating creeps) and pokemon (catching personas). AfterThis game isn’t fun. Isn’t for everyone and might seem boring and too long. But I still love this game. Story isn’t interesting for most of time, but isn’t boring too. After you make your way through palace, you fight palace king/owner. Some of them are more and some are less interesting. But anyways game is still great.     Persona 5 is a wild ride. The soundtracks are amazing, the characters are unique and it keeps you busy for as long as well over a 100 hours. Even if you finished the game there's a lot of replay value because of dialogue choices and maxing out certain stats and abilities. Persona 5 is definitely the King of JRPG's!

    Must have!
    I've never played a persona game and honestly this was the first time I heard something of the sort but I have no complains and it deserves it's place among the top rated games!

    One of the best games I've played period.
    Combat is near perfect for JRPGs. Characters while not the best ones in the series still really good. Story is good. Graphics are amazing. There are quite a lot of small details that are not good but in a 100 hours game it doesn't really make that much of a difference

    -En ocasiones es demasiado redundante y mete muchísimas líneas de diálogo totalmente innecesarias que al final se hacen pesadas (por ejemplo las conversaciones por el grupo de móvil casi cada noche)

    -Los textos en inglés, a mí no me importa ya que entiendo inglés pero creo que mucha gente se quedará sin disfrutarlo por eso, por suerte la versión Royal vendrá con subtítulos en español

    -Los trofeos, a algunos esto no les importará pero lo que te piden para el platino es excesivo, require más de 120 horas de juego y completarlo todo, incluído completar 2 partidas, ese punto lo arreglan en el Persona 5 Royal, que tiene un platino muchísimo más asequible    … Expand

    Persona 5 can be considered Atlu´s Magnum Opus on the 2010´s. Its a great game, that hooks you up since the beginning. The social themes of the game, as well its dungeon crawling game play aspects are amazing, polished and addicting. Its like the epitome of all good elements of the series inserted in one package.
    But for me, the game suffers from some narrative issues it get from P4. Like    Persona 5 can be considered Atlu´s Magnum Opus on the 2010´s. Its a great game, that hooks you up since the beginning. The social themes of the game, as well its dungeon crawling game play aspects are amazing, polished and addicting. Its like the epitome of all good elements of the series inserted in one package.
    But for me, the game suffers from some narrative issues it get from P4. Like how constant the game presses you to make your things in the time limit.
    Some of the social links are not so good as the last ones, and i would like Mementos to be more complex to explore. But again, if were not for this issues, Persona 5 would be easy a 10/10 game.    … Expand

    An amazing JRPG with a flawless story. Definitely a game you will adore if you play games for the adventure. But even then, the gameplay is excellent. A game that any gamer should try at least once.

    One of if not the best RPG I have ever played. It has an incredible story and memorable characters that had me hooked for almost 200 hours. All of this with an incredible art style and music.

You can hepl them, solve problems for them, become their true friends and find their hidden stories. The process is absolutely additive. The length of the main story is over 80 hours filled with enjoyment and surprise. Regretfully, the gameplay in later game period lacked polishment more or less. The repeating maze design made me really upset. But this is the only flaw I could find in P5. It is an amazing game for almost every single person.… Expand

    I got the game about a week after joker was confirmed to be the first dlc fighter in smash. and holy **** did I not know what I was gonna get myself into. the story is amazing with one of the best twist I have ever seen in gaming. the game play is also amazing combining dungeon crawling with a jrpg and a life sim. the characters are also amazing and it really made me want to explore theirI got the game about a week after joker was confirmed to be the first dlc fighter in smash. and holy **** did I not know what I was gonna get myself into. the story is amazing with one of the best twist I have ever seen in gaming. the game play is also amazing combining dungeon crawling with a jrpg and a life sim. the characters are also amazing and it really made me want to explore their confidant story. I don't really know what else to say except that this is a must buy for anyone who has ever breathed. the opening can be slow (as it is a jrpg) but if you stick with it, the game becomes a beautiful piece of art. thank you Atlus for the best experience I have had while playing games.     In short, Persona 5 accomplishes two things: (1) it re-imagines turn based combat and evolves it to be fun/fast/stylish/and strategic in todays's modern gaming landscape, and (2) it delivers a unique story that is aimed at mature audiences with well written characters that are believable and fun to befriend throughout the course of this 100h+ journey! While the game has its slow monotonousIn short, Persona 5 accomplishes two things: (1) it re-imagines turn based combat and evolves it to be fun/fast/stylish/and strategic in todays's modern gaming landscape, and (2) it delivers a unique story that is aimed at mature audiences with well written characters that are believable and fun to befriend throughout the course of this 100h+ journey! While the game has its slow monotonous parts, overall Persona 5 is the new standard for AAA JRPGs in terms of quality and volume of content, and a representation of video games that are considered art thanks to its amazing style and presentation. 8/10… Expand

    Persona 5 is an absolutely amazing game that convinces with its art style, music and story. It has anything one could ask for such a game and more. The turn-based battle system offers a wide array of opportunities. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it is definitely recommended to give it a go.

    Persona 5 beats every other turn-based RPG in terms of production values, combat, story, symbolics, character design, music, pace and variety. 2017 is a great year for gaming and Persona 5 confirms this with a load of unmatched swagger.
