    Gorgeous artwork and music, good story, awesome battle and faborability system. One thing that I think bad is DLC to make Persona 5 Royal has not been released (This is why I score 9 instead of 10). Still I cannot understand why. I'm sure that nobody cannot understand except marketing people in the publishing company.

    Fantastic and unique characters, stylish visuals, solid music, enjoyable variety in its main gameplay loop, and an engaging story from start to finish all set Persona 5 apart from the pack. Overall review: if you haven’t played this game yet, do yourself a favor and dive in.

    Greatest JRPG of the generation. The art, the music, the stylish nature of even the menus. The only issues I had with the game were with some quality of life choices & and the the most despicable adult you deal with is Kamoshida. I'm not saying the other guys aren't terrible people but it never felt as personal as it did in the first dungeon.

    When i first came into the JRPG world, i was honestly afraid of whether i would be able to get used to the battle tactics of the persona series. But looking back at it now, Persona 5 is by far the most intriguing and more or less complete rpg game I've ever gotten my hands on. I agree that its very slow in the first 20 or so hours but after that, you'll be begging for more.

    A really solid JRPG overall. The reason that I couldn't give it a 10 is that, I find the pace of the game is a bit slow at times and the dungeon gets a bit repetitive.

    Definitely one of my favorite PS4 games. Not a huge JRPG fan but this game was awesome. The battles are super fun. The story is interesting. Only negative point that comes to my mind is that the game itself is too long.

    My first JRPG ever, and a big surprise. I didn't expect having so much fun, but I got really engaged in the plot. I felt involved in the story and after about 80 hours, I established relationships with all the characters. I loved the graphics, drawings and music. For me the soundtrack is incredible. One of the most beautiful games ever made. The only disadvantage for me is quite a highMy first JRPG ever, and a big surprise.     Persona 5 was the first JRPG I've played in my life and it pretty much changed my thoughts torwards the JRPG genre.
    First of all, the story is fantastic! It's extremely long, it takes at least 80 hours to finish but it's very well written and fun to go through, thanks to the surprising amount of plot twists and turns.
    Gameplay-wise, it's quite challenging but very addictive; in fact, the    Persona 5 was the first JRPG I've played in my life and it pretty much changed my thoughts torwards the JRPG genre.
    First of all, the story is fantastic! It's extremely long, it takes at least 80 hours to finish but it's very well written and fun to go through, thanks to the surprising amount of plot twists and turns.
    Gameplay-wise, it's quite challenging but very addictive; in fact, the whole game is one of the most addictive single-player videogames I've played in a while! I could play for 5+ hours straight and feel that it wasn't enough.
    The combat is turn based and you can control every character from your party. You can use various type of attacks, items, mechanics, and Persona attacks while spending HP or SP (stamina) with each one of the characters.
    By the way, when you knock down all the targets, you can use an All-Out Attack, but you can also have conversation with the targets instead, in order to collect them as Personas or steal. All those mechanics are wonderful.
    The cast is definitely one of my absolute favorites in a videogame so far.
    Also, I cannot praise enough how impressive the soundtrack and the art style of the game are; they're absolutely god-tier!
    Lastly, during free roam, you can basically do whatever you can do in real life in order to improve your social stats that affect your relationships you make with the other characters.
    However, the story has some pacing issues and the freedom you're given outside of the metaverse feels quite limited.

    - Minor pacing issues

    It is a really good game, with a lot to do, the only thing that messed it a bit for me is that i wasn't too invested in the story or gameplay to dedicate so many hours to the progress of the game, nevertheless, an amazing game that anyone should at least try.

    This game is pure perfection. Everything is done masterfully. It has the best characters I ever saw on any kind of media, the art style is the best one I saw, the soundtrack is perfect, and the story is divine. It's the best ps4 exclusive, by a mile, and also the best game I played (tying with p5r, p5s, p5d, p3d, p3fes and p4g). Yeah, I really love this franchise.

    the Japanese again tried their best this game became popular even beyond the RPG community the first moments were similar to the four, but simplified and sometimes even improved Persians are good as in the previous parts I advise you to get familiar with the game from this part, because persona 3 is an old four for advanced players and a five just for beginners

    Conclusion = way too many to talk about persona 5 as its just a perfect JRPG although mona tends to get annoying as sometimes I can't do anything for around 3-5 days straight and Mona keep telling me to sleep. But that's it, the downside of Persona 5, the rest is legendary.    … Expand

    Disadvantages: boring mementos, Okumura's palace, annoying Okumura story arc.

    My only complaint is that this game is far too long. I've got nothing against long games, but near 100 hours is too much in my opinion. If it was a bit shorter I would probably give it a 10, but it started to drag towards the end.

    After almost 10 years from 4, Persona 5 is the resurrection of a master series. Great story, and character development. If it wasn't for Royal, which stepped up everything that could be stepped up, it would be easily a 10 for me. It deserves a chance to experience it even if you are not a fun of the genre!

    Love the Persona series, and 5 did not disappoint. Colorful cast of characters, excellent Persona compendium per usual along with great gameplay and plot. Had so much fun playing this and the dialogue between characters is hilarious. Also enjoy how you can build relationships with people.

    One of the best JRPG's of all time. Persona 5 was the first JRPG i have ever played and i F**KIN loved it. I played Persona 5 Royal more but i would recommend Persona 5 Royal AFTER playing Persona 5 because you will notice the changes.

Nearly everything about persona 5 floored me, from the beautifully designed palaces, to the wonderful cast of characters, to the flashy, turn-based combat, to the best ost in a video game ever. I felt every second of my 80 hour playthrough was well spent and I was tearing up at the end, not because the ending was sad, but because I was sad that I wasn't going to spend any more time with the characters I loved in a world I truly cared about. Persona 5 has a few minor problems, but they don't hold the game back from being one of the best I've ever played. Can't wait to play persona 5 Royal when persona 5 is no longer fresh in my memory.… Expand

Fun game with a great mix of challenge. Colorful and fantastical presentation, some cringe worth and silly dialogue, but hey they are a bunch of teens and adults trying to sound cool in front of said teens. The issues I have is the third act falls apart before and after the climax, the need for Atlus to make replay-ability like its predecessors. Only issue with that is they did not make any other reason, to do so, like other games in which you get different plot lines, alternate endings strictly for completing it multiple times, like Nier Automata or hell even New Gundam Breaker. The sole reason to complete it again is for the different personas, but then you realize, you have played the same dungeons, same side quest, four to five times for personas to beat the same dungeons and bosses you have already beaten several times before. The game is far from perfect, but it is still an awesome game.… Expand

It has the greatest art direction achieved in gaming, alongside a fantastic story, perfectly written characters, and superb combat and build systems. Also it felt too many talkings instead of actions, so I dropped the game for 4 years.     This game is a huge inspiration to me. The brilliant artwork and music are the perfect topping for the extremely enjoyable story and gameplay. The rpg elements are so smooth and fun, with the quick load-times and extreme customizability. The characters are all great, which is important because the whole game is based around the characters and their struggles. Overall a must play for any rpg fan.

    I very much enjoyed this game. I haven't played a persona game since the very first one, long long ago. There were some noticeable call backs, but the story was unique. The music was excellent, the game mechanics were not too complex, and the story was quite a fun romp. I don't play as many JRPGs as I used to, and I am glad that I decided to give this one a try.

The rpg turn based combat in p5 is the best it's ever been in the persona series. The phantom thieves as a cast of characters are solid but not my favorite. The confidants are really good here and are probably my favorite in the series. Also, theMy first persona game. It's not my favorite one but oh is it good.     This game made me realize how important a good cast can be, and it got me into RPGS, and turn based battles. The story is great, the gameplay is great, the setting is great, the art style is great, the waifus are great and the soundtrack is god tier.
    This game has it's issues, but not enough to remove it from my favorite game of all time.

    The combat system and the story are well made and let you enjoy the game without making it boring, even though it is a long game (around 60-80h)
    Don't worry about the name, you don't have to play the preceding titles, since they're all stand-alone stories.

No quesito gráfico o jogo é bastante bonito pois se apropria do estilo anime e utiliza isso para esconder as limitações do hardware do PlayStation 3, a história é incrível e repleta de reviravoltas marcantes e de personagens espetaculares.… Expand

    Good story and enjoyable RPG game would recommend and play again. The world's are well thought out and the personas you both get and fight have there own personality. The characters are well thought out with there own storyline and impact on the story. The extra features like gyms, crafting, school questions etc. But my problem is that all the perfecting and stay boost take too long toGood story and enjoyable RPG game would recommend and play again.     cant say a good combat mode to fit in a 50h's walkthrough. However, others like music and graphics is so much modern and astonishing.

    One of my favorites of all time I love the characters and the overall look of the game is amazing. Weakest of the persona protagonists imo and the story itself drags pretty hard in places but after replaying it 4 times it still is something I could see myself coming back to.

    I first saw persona 5 when i checked this website a couple of years ago. Upon seeing the positive reviews, I decided to give it a go, even though the gameplay didn't particularly pull me in from youtube footage. I had intended for this game to be my last ps4 game. I was starting to have enough of gaming as a whole, for many reasons. I ended up playing a game so good, that I decided toI first saw persona 5 when i checked this website a couple of years ago. Upon seeing the positive reviews, I decided to give it a go, even though the gameplay didn't particularly pull me in from youtube footage. I had intended for this game to be my last ps4 game. I was starting to have enough of gaming as a whole, for many reasons. I ended up playing a game so good, that I decided to never stop gaming. it reinvigorated my love for gaming. It is one of the rare games i wish i had not played, because now, i will never be able to experience it anew. Despite being a ps3 game, it surpassed my expectations, and it will be enjoyable for eternity.

    Best stuff: the artistic vision and unique game design/ui. the awesome music. the loveable characters. the personas themselves remind me of my childhood with pokemon. The things to do in tokyo.

    What could have improved the game: Joker's lack of voice, absence of character customisation in game - wait its DLC...

    In conclusion: The game is practically flawless, it kept me fully interested for so many hours, and is memorable and fun. For a month, the phantom thieves became my only and best friends. I don't know how they made the characters feel as real as they felt to me. I give this game a 93/100    … Expand

    Used to be obsessed with videos on you tube about the game and when I finally got to get a PlayStation and played it, it lived up to the hype. Absolutely love it, it is a masterpiece.

    a great game, the royal version turned Persona 5 from an 8 to a 10 for, 120 hours that never bored me and when i finished the game i felt so empty tht wanted to replay it one more time

    One of the most fun turn based strategy games ive ever played. Both the combat gameplay and the life management gameplay are fun and engaging. Characters are diverse and interesting. Main plot takes a bit to get going but really gets going in interesting directions.     This game just made me happier in my life. This game is all you need when feeling frustrating, or sad, or anything at all. It makes you cry, laugh and enjoy. It is my favourite game, by far, after 20 years playing RPGs and more specifically, JRPGs.

    Beautiful game, incredible, hard to describe, it's been a long time since I felt like this with a game, if you're looking for a quality JRPG to play, you can go with Persona 5, best JRPG I've played in years.

    Persona 5 is an absolutely amazing game that convinces with its art style, music and story. It has anything one could ask for such a game and more. The turn-based battle system offers a wide array of opportunities. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it is definitely recommended to give it a go.

    Persona 5 beats every other turn-based RPG in terms of production values, combat, story, symbolics, character design, music, pace and variety. 2017 is a great year for gaming and Persona 5 confirms this with a load of unmatched swagger.
